The ground source heat pump (GSHP) system is a kind of the temperature differential energy system using relatively stable underground temperature as heat source of space heating and cooling. This system can achieve higher performance of system than it of conventional air source heat pump systems. However, its superiority of the system performance is different according to installation location or local climate, because the system performance depends on the underground condition which is decided by annual average air temperature. In this study, in order to estimate the feasibility of the ground source heat pump system according to the local climate, numerical simulation was conducted using the ground heat transfer model and the surface heat balance model. The case study was conducted in the condition of Seoul, Daejeon, and Busan, In the result, the heat exchange rate of Busan was 34.33 W/m as the largest in heating season and it of Seoul was 40.61 W/m as the largest in cooling.
The gradient and depth of tin at the side of glasses by float process were measured. The effects of tin to ion exchanged of glasses in the molten salt of KNO3 and AgNO3 were presented by means of Ag+ ion penetration depth, diffusion coefficient variation, spectral transmittance and color coordinates. The diffusion coefficient of Ag+ ion of tin side was higher than air side, and the activation energy of tin side was 0.2-0.6Kcal/mole lower than air side. Therefore Ag+ ion penetration depth of tin side is 2-10$\mu\textrm{m}$ deeper, hence it can be seen that tin promote Ag+ ion diffusion. The same treatment of ion exchange, reddish-brown oflong wavelength in case of tin present, yellowish-amber of short wavelength in case of tin absence were revealed.
o What is the flux \ulcorner Flux is the transfer of a quantity per unit area per unit time. The quantities are mass, heat, moisture, momentum and pollutant in micrometeorology. Kinematic flux (Fluid). The reduction in wind speed due to frictional drag transfers momentum from the atmosphere to the surface, creating turbulence that mixes the air and transports heat and water from the surface into the lower atmosphere. A numerical flow-field analysis is performed to investigate flow configurations in the anode, cathode and cooling channels on the bipolar plates of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Continuous open-faced flow channels are formed on the bipolar plate surface to supply hydrogen, air and water. In this analysis, two types of channel pattern are considered: serpentine and spiral. The averaged pressure distribution and velocity profiles of the hydrogen, air and water channels are calculated by two-dimensional flow-field analysis. The equations for the conservation of mass and momentum in the two-dimensional fluid flow analysis are slightly modified to include the characteristics of the PEMFC. The analysis results indicate that the serpentine flow-fields are locally unstable (because two channels are cross at right angles). The spiral flow-fields has more stable than the serpentine, due to rotational fluid-flow inertia forces. From this study, the spiral channel pattern is suggested for a channel pattern of the bipolar plate of the PEMFC to obtain better performance.
CO in the reformed gas for proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) has a strong tendency to adsorb on the surface of the catalyst and thus to block the sites that hydrogen needs for reactions. Even part per million levels of CO can cause serious poisoning. This CO poisoning can overcome to bleed trace amounts of air into the anode. In this study, we indicated the alteration of stack performance in various CO concentration and then bled a small amount of air. The performance of stack was reduced by increasing CO amount, and recovered by air bleeding. But the air-bleeding have an impact on performance of anode should be further explored.

Crushed, depitted peach stones were impregnated activated with 50% $H_3PO_4$ followed by pyrolysis at $500^{\circ}C$. Two activated carbons were produced, one under its own evolved gases during pyrolysis, and the second conducted with air flow throughout the carbonization stage. Physicochemical properties were investigated by several procedures; carbon yield, ash content, elemental chemical analysis, TG/DTG and FTIR spectra. Porosity characteristics were determined by the conventional $N_2$ adsorption at 77 K, and data analyzed to get the major texture parameters of surface area and pore volume. Highly developed activated carbons were obtained, essentially microporous, with slight effect of air on the porous structure. Oxygen was observed to be markedly incorporated in the carbon matrix during the air treatment process. Cation exchange capacity towards Cu (II) and Cd (II) was tested in batch single ion experimental mode, which proved to be slow and a function of carbon dose, time and initial ion concentration. Copper was up taken more favorably than cadmium, under same conditions, and adsorption of both cations was remarkably enhanced as a consequence of the air treatment procedure. Sequestration of the metal ions was explained on basis of the combined effect of the oxygen functional groups and the phosphorous-containing compounds; both contributing to the total surface acidity character.
The field of the large volume heat exchanger for wasted heat recovery ventilation system is being expanded enormously seeing as the fact that the quantity of reducing energies are huge due to the large volume heat exchanger for wasted heat recovery system at large buildings and factories, which consume large amount of energies while it has been arising huge amount of losses in Korea because of the lack of technology. To develop large volume waste heat recovery heat exchanger, rotor type heat exchanger was simulated for the surface corrugation. Based on the simulation results produced $30,000m^3/h$ grade waste heat recovery, heat exchanger was performed for the actual experiment. In addition, performance tests exceed the capacity of a large waste heat recovery heat exchanger performance test methods proposed.
A biogeochemical model was used to estimate air-sea $CO_2$ exchange over the East China Sea. Since fresh water discharge from the Changjiang River and relevant chemistry were not considered in the employed model, we were not able to produce accurate results around the Changjiang River mouth. This factor aside, the model showed that the East China Sea, away from the Changjiang River mouth, takes approximately $1.5{\sim}2\;mole\;m^{-2}yr^{-1}$ of $CO_2$ from the atmosphere. The model also showed that biological factors modify the air-sea $CO_2$ flux by only a few percent when we assumed that biological activity increased two-fold. Therefore, we can argue that the biological effect is not strong enough over this area within the framework of the current phosphate-based biological model. Compared to the preindustrial era, in 1995 the East China Sea absorbed $0.4{\sim}0.8\;mole\;m^{-2}yr^{-1}$ more $CO_2$. If warming of the sea surface is considered, in addition to the increase in atmospheric $CO_2$ concentration, by 2045 the East China Sea would absorb $0.2{\sim}0.4\;mole\;m^{-2}yr^{-1}$ less $CO_2$ compared to the non-warming case.
This study investigated the characteristics of variations in carbon dioxide concentration and air temperature with the vertical change of surface in a grassplot. Field observations were carried out at a grassplot in Gyeongnam Science High School, over four days in August and November, 2015. Continuous observation equipment (GMP343, VAISALA) was installed at the LP (0.1 m from the surface) and UP (1.1 m from the surface) points, and the carbon dioxide concentration and air temperature were measured simultaneously at 1-min intervals. To summarize the results of the observation, August had higher than average concentrations of carbon dioxide, while November showed average air temperatures. Moreover, the concentration of carbon dioxide was higher at the UP point, while the air temperature was higher at the LP point. The correlation coefficient of carbon dioxide concentration between the UP and LP points was 0.80 in August across all the four days, while it was higher in November at 0.58-0.95. The results of the regression analysis of carbon dioxide concentration with air temperature changes for both August and November showed a distinct change at the LP point (R2=0.36-0.76), as compared to the UP point (R2=0.1-0.57). Between the UP and LP points, the carbon dioxide concentration and air temperature regression analysis results indicated that an active exchange was taking place between the two points.
This study was conducted to compare the characteristics of heat dissipated from LED lamps with water cooling method and natural cooling method in a closed-type plant production system (CPPS) and to determine the optimum water temperature and flow rate for LED lamps with water cooling method. The experiments were performed in CPPS maintained at temperature of $24^{\circ}C$ and humidity of 70%. As compared to the LED lamps operated at water temperature of $22.5{\pm}1.2^{\circ}C$ and flow rate of $1,521{\pm}3.3\;mL{\cdot}min^{-1}$, air temperature under LED lamps with natural cooling was approximately increased by $1^{\circ}C$ and photosynthetic photon flux was decreased by $10{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. PPF illuminated from LED lamps was affected by forward voltage varied by the surface temperature of LED lamps. Forward voltage of LED lamps was decreased with increasing surface temperature and then PPF was proportionately decreased. Five levels ($14^{\circ}C,\;17^{\circ}C,\;20^{\circ}C,\;23^{\circ}C,\;26^{\circ}C$) of water temperature and three levels ($500\;mL{\cdot}min^{-1}$, $1,000\;mL{\cdot}min^{-1}$, $1,500\;mL{\cdot}min^{-1}$) of flow rate were provided to analyze the change of surface temperature and heat exchange of LED lamps. Heat exchange was increased with decreasing water temperature and increasing flow rate. At flow rate of $1,000-1,500\;mL{\cdot}min^{-1}$ and water temperature of 22.0-$22.6^{\circ}C$, surface temperature of LED lamps can be approached to $24^{\circ}C$ that was almost same as air temperature in CPPS. The calorific value generated from LED lamps used in the study was estimated to be $103.0\;kJ{\cdot}h^{-1}$.
