This study investigated physical and physiological changes of normal young adults, who are cadets of the Air Force Academy, have kept long-term physical activities and healthy behavior. The physical and physiological indices were the blood and body composition. Data were collected at the first year period, and then 4th year period from same group of cadets. The amounts of blood components were not changed, but variation among cadets was significantly reduced in the 4th grade period. The red blood cells(RBCs) were significantly reduced and the concentration of hemoglobin(HGB) were significantly increased. The body weight was significantly decreased in the 1st grade period since the body fat was rapidly decreased after the basic military drill, and then it was recovered with building up of the skeletal muscle in the 4th grade period. Asymmetry of the arms was decreased with the increased physical activities and usage of various equipments. The muscular endurance were significantly enhanced in the 4th grade period. The long-term physical activities and healthy behaviors may keep the physical strength through enhanced blood stream and oxygen supply by reduction of the RBCs and increased HGB concentration, and fat and muscle control.

In this paper, we propose an architecture design of military operation system utilizing cellular networks. The main contribution of this paper is to provide a cost-effective military operation solution for ground forces, which is based on IT(information technology). By employing the cellular phones of officers' and non-commissioned officers' as the tools of operational communication, the proposed system can be constructed in the minimum duration and be built on the four components: command and control system, gateway, security system, and terminal(cell phone). This system is most effective for the warfare of limited area, but the effectiveness does not decrease under the total war covering the whole land of Korea. For the environmental change of near future, expanded architecture is also provided to utilize the functionalities of smart phones.

In this paper, we implemented a deep learning-based automatic object tracking and handy motion control drone system and analyzed the performance of the proposed system. The drone system automatically detects and tracks targets by analyzing images obtained from the drone's camera using deep learning algorithms, consisting of the YOLO, the MobileNet, and the deepSORT. Such deep learning-based detection and tracking algorithms have both higher target detection accuracy and processing speed than the conventional color-based algorithm, the CAMShift. In addition, in order to facilitate the drone control by hand from the ground control station, we classified handy motions and generated flight control commands through motion recognition using the YOLO algorithm. It was confirmed that such a deep learning-based target tracking and drone handy motion control system stably track the target and can easily control the drone.
This paper deals with the development and application of a 3D printing education program implemented to cultivate creative fusion-type talents required by the 4th Industrial Revolution. Specifically, the entire process developed by applying the ADDIE program development model, from 3D modeling to post-processing of printed materials, was performed individually and for each team for about 200 second-year college students for two weeks. Through this program, students develop the basic ability to apply 3D printing to the learning curriculum, the ability to solve problems through cooperative interactions between team members, and convergence thinking ability by collaborating within the team by students from various major fields. They are proved by analyzing an education satisfaction survey conducted after application of the program. In conclusion, the program of this paper presents a methodology for effective 3D printing education in universities.
The purpose of this study is to develop Raspberry Pi-based CanSat instruction materials for liberal arts classes to be used in university space education. The educational satellite simulation program is developed by applying the ADDIE program consisting of analysis, design, development, execution, and evaluation of 15 lessons per semester. The usefulness of the instruction materials is evaluated by a validity test of a total of 6 experts. The proposed materials are applied to 100 college students from various majors. To analyze the impact on creative problem-solving ability, a questionnaire is conducted before and after class, and as a result, it is confirmed that there is a significant improvement in all areas after class. The class satisfaction survey is conducted for a total of 10 questions, and the average score is 4.41 out of 5, which is high. In conclusion, the proposed instruction materials make it possible to achieve successful space education using Raspberry Pi and improve creative problem-solving ability in universities.

In this study, the evaluation items related to the effectiveness evaluation of the LVC (Live, Virtual, Constructive) training system of the Air Force were derived and the weights of each item were analyzed. The LVC training system evaluation items for AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis were divided into three layers, and according to the level, 3 items were derived at level 1, 11 items at level 2, and 33 items at level 3. For weight analysis of evaluation items, an AHP-based pairwise comparison questionnaire was conducted for Air Force experts related to the LVC training system. As a result of the survey, related items such as (1) Achievement of education and training goals (53.8%), (1.2) Large-scale mission and operational performance (25.5%), and (1.2.1) Teamwork among training participants (19.4%) was highly rated. Also, it was confirmed that the weights of evaluation items were not different for each expert group, that is, the priority for importance was evaluated in the same order between the policy department and the working department. Through these analysis results, it will be possible to use them as evaluation criteria for new LVC-related projects of the Air Force and selection of introduction systems.
Large satellite development programs might take decades to build, launch and operate in space environments at costs in excess of a billion dollars. However, small satellites can reduce the costs not only by using commercial software and sensors, but also by shortening the development period to two years or less. In this paper, we discuss the development status of small satellites, and propose some military applications of small satellites. First, we describe the industrial trends of small satellites in advanced countries such as the United States and Japan. Also, we describe the development status of small satellites in Korea. Military applications are largely classified into education, research, and operational purposes. Small satellites are developing rapidly in commercial markets and they will play an important role in military sector. Therefore, the military should consider small satellites as important strategic assets in future conflicts and provide means to develop them.

An SIW cavity is a useful tool to design an FSS which shows a rapid roll-off rate and insensitivity to polarizations and incident angles of electromagnetic waves. However, due to its high Q-factor, the FSS also shows narrow bandwidth which is undesirable for high-capacity communication. To address this drawback, we propose a novel technique to enhance the bandwidth while maintaining similar frequency response characteristics and minimizing the increase of the overall thickness of the SIW cavity FSS. In order to verify the performance of the technique, simulated frequency responses will be provided. Also, a parameter which affects the bandwidth will be studied. Finally the stability to polarizations and incident angles will be observed through the simulated results.
The prediction of the separation trajectories of the external stores released from a military aircraft is an important task in the aircraft design area having the objective to define the operational and release envelopes. This paper presents the results obtained for store separation by employing commercial sorftwares, FLUENT and CFD-FASTRAN. FLUENT treats the rigid body motion by employing the remeshing scheme. CFD-FASTRAN uses the chimera(overset) grid and interpolations. It was found that, for the prediction of the trajectories and behavior of the stores separated from the wing, both codes shows the good agreement with the experimental results.
