농산물 및 농식품 수출 확대를 위한 방안 연구 (A study on a plan to increase produce and agricultural foods export)

  • 본 연구는 농산물 및 농식품 수출 확대를 위한 애로요인과 문제점, 개선 방안을 조사·연구하여 향후 우리나라 농산물 및 농식품의 세계화를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 연구의 목적을 두고 실행하였다. 농산물 및 농식품 수출 문제점은 전반적으로 모두 높다고 인식하였고, 신규 바이어 발굴 및 해외시장 개척과 마케팅 전문인력 부족이 가장 큰 원인으로 조사되었다. 농산물 수출 지원제도의 문제점은 인지도는 상당히 높지만 절차가 까다롭고 지원에 있어 업체의 선정수가 적어 알고는 있으나 혜택을 받지 못한다는 문제점이 지적되었다. 이를 위해서는 수출 지원제도에 대한 홍보와 교육이 필요하고, 더불어 수출 지원제도의 확대와 제도의 개선이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 수출 증대 방안과 관련하여 농산물 수출 증대 저해 요인으로 경영규모 및 생산기반 취약과 수출 마인드 및 전문 인력 미비가 가장 높게 나타난 관계로, 농산물 수출업체들이 대부분 중소기업이라는 점을 감안할 때 해외시장 개척과 마케팅활동의 역량이 부족하다는 것을 예측하고, 이들의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 정부차원의 해외시장 개척과 마케팅 협조 방안이 필요한 실정으로 분석되었다.

항균성 식품을 이용한 간편섭취 농산물 미생물오염의 감소 및 분자생물학적 분석 (Bacterial Contamination Reduction of Minimally Processed Agricultural Products using Antibacterial Foods and Molecular Biological Analysis)

  • 가열하지 않은 간편섭취 농산물의 섭취를 통한 세균 감염의 가능성을 줄이고자, 가정에서 쉽게 구할 수 있고 잔류에 대한 염려가 없는 천연 항균성 식품을 이용하여 세척할 경우, 물 세척에 비해 세균의 감소효과가 있는지 확인하고자 하였다. 여러 가지 항균성 식품성분 중 마늘의 allicin, 생강의 gingerol, 녹차의 catechin, 계피의 cinnamic aldehyde, 고추냉이의 allyl isothiocyanate의 단계별 희석액으로 세척한 후, 단순 물 세척의 세척효과와 비교한 결과, 단순 물 세척에 비하여 세균 감소의 효과가 큰 것으로 통계적으로 확인되었다. 간편섭취 농산물에서 검출된 Bacillus cereus 오염의 유래 및 연관성을 확인하고자 유전적 상관성을 분석해 본 결과 유사도가 매우 높은 균주들이 많이 검출되었다. 이 사실을 통해 간편섭취 농산물의 생산, 가공, 포장, 유통 등의 과정에서 공통적인 요인에 의한 지속적인 오염의 가능성 및 소비자의 감염 가능성을 파악할 수 있었으며, 감염을 예방하기 위한 사전적이고 체계적인 관리가 필요함을 확인하였다.

Modelling protection behaviour towards micronutrient deficiencies: Case of iodine biofortified vegetable legumes as health intervention for school-going children

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Despite successes recorded in combating iodine deficiency, more than 2 billion people are still at risk of iodine deficiency disorders. Rural landlocked and mountainous areas of developing countries are the hardest hit, hence the need to explore and advance novel strategies such as biofortification. SUBJECTS/METHODS: We evaluated adoption, purchase, and consumption of iodine biofortified vegetable legumes (IBVL) using the theory of protection motivations (PMT) integrated with an economic valuation technique. A total of 1,200 participants from three land-locked locations in East Africa were recruited via multi-stage cluster sampling, and data were collected using two, slightly distinct, questionnaires incorporating PMT constructs. The survey also elicited preferences for iodine biofortified foods when offered at a premium or discount. Determinants of protection motivations and preferences for iodine biofortified foods were assessed using path analysis modelling and two-limit Tobit regression, respectively. RESULTS: Knowledge of iodine, iodine-health link, salt iodization, and biofortification was very low, albeit lower at the household level. Iodine and biofortification were not recognized as nutrient and novel approaches, respectively. On the other hand, severity, fear, occupation, knowledge, iodine status, household composition, and self-efficacy predicted the intention to consume biofortified foods at the household level; only vulnerability, self-efficacy, and location were the most crucial elements at the school level. In addition, results demonstrated a positive willingness-to-pay a premium or acceptance of a lesser discount for biofortification. Furthermore, preference towards iodine biofortified foods was a function of protection motivations, severity, vulnerability, fear, response efficacy, response cost, knowledge, iodine status, gender, age. and household head. CONCLUSIONS: Results lend support for prevention of iodine deficiency in unprotected populations through biofortification; however 'threat' appraisal and socio-economic predictors are decisive in designing nutrition interventions and stimulating uptake of biofortification. In principle, the contribution is threefold: 1) Successful application of the integrated model to guide policy formulation; 2) Offer guidance to stakeholders to identify and tap niche markets; 3) stimulation of rural economic growth around school feeding programmes.

  • Recently, spectroscopy has emerged as a potential tool for quality evaluation of numerous food and agricultural products because it provides information regarding both spectral distribution and image features of the sample (i.e., hyperspectral imaging). Spectroscopic techniques reveal hidden information regarding the sample and do so in a non-destructive manner. This review describes the various approaches of spectroscopic modalities, especially hyperspectroscopy and vibrational spectroscopies (i.e., Raman spectroscopy and Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy) combined with chemometrics for the non-destructive assessment of contaminations and defects in agro-food products.

친환경농업 생산자조직의 경영실태 분석과 시사점 (Issues and Analyses on Management Situations of Environment-Friendly Agricultural Organizations)

  • This study analyzed the management situation of two organizations that have produced environmentally friendly agricultural and livestock products. One organization sells and processes environmentally friendly agricultural products like as grains, vegetables, fruits and processing foods. Another organization processes and sells environmentally friendly livestock products, specially beef products. Indices of management analysis are stability ratio, activity ratio and profitability ratio. Stability ratio indices are debt ratio, net worth ratio, fixed ratio and current ratio. Activity ratio ones include fixed assets turnover and net worth turnover. And profitability ratio is showed through return on investment, net return on sales and return on equity.

  • Singlet oxygen-mediated photooxidation and subsequent triplet oxygen insertion of 11-hydro-13-(methyloxy)carbonylartemisinate (4) yielded a diketo compound 5 as the major product instead of the expected 11-hydro-13-(methyloxy)carbonylartemisinin (6). The formation of the unexpected product was in part consistent with the mechanism proposed by Acton and Roth and is the first isolation of the diketo compound from the photooxidation of artemisinate.

경상북도 농산물 수출지원정책의 효과와 과제 (The Effectiveness and Proposal of Agri-Food Export Subsidies in GyeongBuk)

  • This paper examines the effects of export subsidies on agricultural food exports, focusing on a case of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Using monthly data of agricultural food exports during 2007-2020 and the GLS regression analysis, we test the hypothesis whether the export subsidies would increase the exports of four major agri-food categories with three digit codes of HS such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, and mushrooms. Evidence shows that the export subsidies had statistically significant impacts on the agri-food exports except flowers. In order to test the robustness of the analysis, the agri-food export subsidies are reclassified into four sub-subsidy policies, and the analysis re-examines the effects of the sub-subsidies on agri-food exports. It shows that export policies for production stabilization, logistics, and overseas marketing promote the exports of agri-foods significantly. Alternative export policies are drawn in this study since the existing subsidies conflict with the WTO agricultural agreement.

  • In this study, we conducted a research on optimizing the spraying performance of agricultural drones and predicted the spraying performance in various flight conditions using the multi-layer perceptron (MLP). Data was collected using a test device for pesticide spraying performance according to the water sensitive paper (WSP) evaluation. MLP training involved supervised learning to achieve a coefficient of variation (CV), which indicates the degree of uniform spraying. The performance evaluation was conducted using R-squared (R2), the test samples showed an R2 of 0.80. The results of this study showed that drone spraying performance can be predicted under various flight environments. In addition, the correlation analysis between flight conditions and predicted spraying performance will be useful for further research on optimizing the spraying performance of agricultural drones.

Increasing Sulforaphane Formation in Broccoli Sprouts by Radish Sprouts Additions

  • Cruciferous plants such as broccoli and radish contain glucosinolate, which is a bioactive precursor that is most often used in Korean foods and is unique as a food ingredient. In addition, it contains various other phytochemicals and is promising as a health-oriented food material. In particular, Sulforaphane is a hydrolyzate of the glucosinolate, which has a more beneficial effect on the human body. Glucosinolate may be hydrolyzed by enzymes called myrosinase, which is voluntarily possessed by cruciferous plants. However, the ESP(Epithiospecifier protein) in broccoli sprouts could acts competitively with myrosinase, and convert to the less bioactive sulforaphane nitrile form. Therefore, we improved the yielding of sulforaphane in broccoli sprouts with a new method. We induce inactivation of the ESP protein by heat treatment. At this time, a myrosinase was introduced from the radish sprout because myrosinase in broccoli sprouts is also denatured by heat treatment. According to the results, we have confirmed by GC / MS that formation of sulforaphane increases more than 7 fold using set heating and mixing conditions.

대전 지역 어린이 기호식품의 지방산조성 (Fatty Acid Composition of Children's Favorite Foods in Daejeon Area)

  • 대덕구 관내 학교주변 분식점과 길거리 노점, 소규모 제과점에서 수거한 시료들의 조지방과 총 트랜스, 포화, 불포화 지방산의 함량 조사결과 어린이들이 선호하는 식품 중의 하나인 수입 비스켓류에서 100 g 당 트랜스지방산 함량이 0.05~0.83 g으로 나타났으며, 또한 포화지방산은 전체 구성 지방산 중에서 42.25~66.24%를 차지하였고 이때 100 g 당 포화지방산의 함량은 3.18~6.06 g으로 나타났다.
