농협 가공식품의 유통경로 체계화를 위한 판매대행센타 설립에 관한 사례 (Case of the Channel Restructuring for the Processed Agri-Products of National Agricultural Cooperative Federation)

  • 농협 중앙회 소속 조합단위들은 지역 농산물의 수매량을 늘리기 위한 목적으로 가공공장을 설립하였으나, 각 공장들이 개별조직의 개념으로 운영되어 영세성을 면하지 못하고 있고, 일반 기업체의 제품과의 경쟁력이 점점 상실되는 상황에 처해 있다. 이러한 상황에서 농협 중앙회는 농판매대행센타의 설립의 추진을 통하여 농협 조합단위에서 운영하고 있는 가공공장들의 판매체계를 간소화하고 유통경로의 체계화를 추진하고 있다. 본 보고서에서는 농협 중앙회가 판매 대행센타의 설립을 추진하게 된 배경 및 추진 단계를 소개하고 판매대행센타의 설립 추진시 예상되는 문제점 및 해결방안을 점검하였다. 특히 농협은 비영리단체이기 때문에 일반 기업과는 다른 여러 가지 조직적인 문제점을 안고있는데, 비영리단체에서도 마케팅 개념에 입각한 판매체계 및 유통경로의 체계화 추진이 가능함을 잘 보여주고 있다.

친환경농산물 학교급식의 발전과정 및 추진방향 (Development Process and Strategies for School Lunch Program using Environmentally Friendly Agri-products)

  • The objectives of this study were to find development process and strategies for school lunch program using environmentally friendly agri-products (EFA). In order to improve the quality of school lunch program from elementary school to high school, the demand of EFA is increasing step by step such as a parent's association and the citizen group. For that reason, establishment by regional ordinance for school lunch program using EFA is rapidly expanded throughout the country. To develop school lunch program using EFA, we have to consider WTO regulations and product reliable EFA under the demand-supply stabilization. Moreover, environmentally friendly agri-policy to be more focused on the promotion the consumer's interests and food safety need.

중국 수출확대를 위한 한국 농식품 브랜드 아이덴티티 정립 (A Study of Korean Agri-Food Brand Identities for Expanding Exports to China)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to target Chinese consumers of Korean agri-food through the analysis of agri-food brand identity images to set future directions for proposed agri-food exports to China. Since negotiations began for a free trade agreement (FTA) between Korea and China, some Koreans have worried about the Korean agriculture sector. The world trading system has undergone many changes in recent years. Since the start of FTA negotiations on agriculture, China and Korea have faced a heightened sense of crisis. China is trying to export agricultural products so actively that its agricultural exports could increase by more than 7% annually. China exported about one-tenth of its agricultural products to Korea in the period 2002-2010. Recently, the importance of brand identity has tended to increase, as the world becomes one unified market. In this situation, we should try to promote agri-food exports to China. It is very important to understand consumers' recognition of Korean food and the image of the Korean agri-food industry, to establish an export strategy. Research design, data, and methodology - This study targeted 2,800 adult men and women aged 25-59 years living in four major cities in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Qingdao) with a household income within the top 10% level in the China, using the one-to-one interview survey method. In addition, four groups by region (eight people per group) for a total of 32 groups were surveyed by using the focus group interview (FGI) research method, and impressions of imported agri-food were surveyed using 17 questions about fresh agri-food and 22 questions on processed agri-food. Factor analysis, brand positioning, biplot analysis, and so on, were carried out based on the results of these surveys. This research presents the brand identity of Korean food; according to the analyses, the brand identity is based on trust, safety, and attractiveness. Result - Factor analysis results showed that Chinese consumers expect four major qualities in imported fresh agri-food: freshness/safety, attractive appearance, premium branding, and excellent taste/quality. In the case of processed agri-food, it turned out that Chinese consumers are focused on safety/hygiene/freshness, health, and taste. In addition, in the fresh agri-food analysis by country, American foods had the upper hand; the image of American foods was also recognized as the most positive for processed agri-food. Meanwhile, according to the biplot analysis, Korean agri-food is strongly preferred for its appearance, but no country is strongly preferred as regards the level of freshness/safety that is expected by Chinese consumers. Conclusions - In this study, we analyzed the image of imported agri-food expected by Chinese consumers by reconstructing agri-food characteristics from the brand perspective. The research result shows that a Korean brand identity must be the ultimate goal for activities undertaken to enhance the image of Korean agri-food in the future. Additional research is needed because brand image can be formed through various channels.

Evaluation of Herbicides for Management of Weeds in Cultivation of Panax quinquefolius L.

  • Nine herbicide products (fluazifop-p-butyl, clethodim, MCPA-sodium, 2,4-0 amine, chlorthal dimethyl, diquat, glyphosate, ethalfluralin and oryzalin) were evaluated for use on ginseng (Panax quinquefolius). Products varied in their ability to suppress weeds and certain materials were phytotoxic to ginseng in some trials. Chlorthal dimethyl (broadleaf weeds), MCPA-sodium (broadleaf weeds), fluazifop-p-butyl (grass weeds), and clethodim (grass weeds) were found to be effective as weed control agents and did not adversely affect ginseng growth. Other products tested were either not efficacious or were phytotoxic to ginseng in some trials. Weed populations were mainly introduced into the planting sites via the straw mulches used in ginseng cultivation.

경상북도 농산물 수출지원정책의 효과와 과제 (The Effectiveness and Proposal of Agri-Food Export Subsidies in GyeongBuk)

  • This paper examines the effects of export subsidies on agricultural food exports, focusing on a case of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Using monthly data of agricultural food exports during 2007-2020 and the GLS regression analysis, we test the hypothesis whether the export subsidies would increase the exports of four major agri-food categories with three digit codes of HS such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, and mushrooms. Evidence shows that the export subsidies had statistically significant impacts on the agri-food exports except flowers. In order to test the robustness of the analysis, the agri-food export subsidies are reclassified into four sub-subsidy policies, and the analysis re-examines the effects of the sub-subsidies on agri-food exports. It shows that export policies for production stabilization, logistics, and overseas marketing promote the exports of agri-foods significantly. Alternative export policies are drawn in this study since the existing subsidies conflict with the WTO agricultural agreement.

숯을 활용한 포장재 개발에 관한 연구(제2보) -전기적, 물리적 성질 - (Development of Charcoal Containing Paper for Packaging Grades(II) - Electrical and Physical Properties -)

  • The charcoal is known to have gas adsorption capability and electrical properties. Some practical applications of carbon materials for the purpose of limited electrical conduction were made in these days. In this paper, we applied the several different kinds of charcoal to the papers in three different ways to investigate if charcoal application method affects its electrical conduction capability. Wet end addition, making multiply, and coating method were tested. The area electrical resistivity of charcoal containing paper was measured. The strength properties of charcoal containing paper were compared to those of the control, which had no charcoal in it. Experimental results showed that manufacturing conditions of the charcoal itself changed its electrical and strength properties of charcoal containing paper. The electrical properties of charcoal containing paper can be used for the removal of electrostatic problem in packaging system. The strength property of the charcoal containing paper should be kept, at least, over the minimum requirement for the packaging system. By using coating method on paper or making multiply, strength loss of paper by inclusion of charcoal could be overcome.

HPLC를 이용한 지역 농산물의 비타민 B6 함량 분석 (Determination of Vitamin B6 Content using HPLC in Agricultural Products cultivated in Local Areas in Korea)

  • Contents of water soluble vitamin $B_6$ in a total of 62 agricultural products cultivated in local areas in Korea were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detector (HPLC/FLD). To verify the method of vitamin $B_6$ analysis, a quality control chart was formulated with in-house control using a mixture of broccoli and shiitake mushrooms. Among cereals, high content of vitamin $B_6$ measured $234.3{\sim}260.3{\mu}g/100g$ in dried mung bean and soybean. Vitamin $B_6$ content of non-glutinous and glutinous black rice measured $105.0{\mu}g/100g$ and $129.7{\mu}g/100g$, respectively. In vegetables, high content of vitamin $B_6$ were measured in passion fruit ($104.3{\mu}g/100g$), gat ($55.7{\sim}84.3{\mu}g/100g$), gomchwi ($31.3{\sim}88.0{\mu}g/100g$) and garlic ($72.7{\sim}98.3{\mu}g/100g$). Among fruits, gold kiwi 'Zespri' and green kiwi 'Hayward' revealed high vitamin $B_6$ content of $116.3{\mu}g/100g$ and $78.7{\mu}g/100g$, respectively. In persimmons, daebongsi had high vitamin $B_6$ content ($36.0{\sim}72.7{\mu}g/100g$) than bansi and sweet persimmon. Vitamin $B_6$ content in dried jujube and persimmon increased more than $86.7{\mu}g/100g$ compared to fresh materials. Among specialty crops, green tea powder ($64.7{\sim}251.0{\mu}g/100g$) and sansuyu ($172.3{\mu}g/100g$) revealed high content. Of mushrooms, vitamin $B_6$ content of Sparassis crispa ($139.3{\mu}g/100g$) was the highest. Vitamin $B_6$ content information of agricultural products in local areas in Korea collected from this experiment will be used as valuable preliminary data for grasp national nutritional status.

우리나라 수출농업 활성화를 위한 농식품 수출 발전방안 (Development Strategies of Agri-food Exportation for Agricultural Export Promotion in Korea)

  • With the launching WTO, the world economy has been changing new competitive environment. Agricultural exports should be pursued actively in the market of opening era to develop the foreign agricultural product market and to improve the domestic agribusiness quality and strengthen its competitiveness. The purpose of this is paper is to understand agricultural export status of Korea to detect challenges and matter for improvement, to find new measures of export strategy for the foreign market, recent emerging export promotion with high potential growth, and to increase Korea agricultural export to new world market by using a new method. The profit and loss status is volatile since the agricultural export is in its infancy. However, we have learned lessons from previous success and failure that prior analyzing of agricultural export feasibility, phased-in expansion of agri-food export volume, connection of agri-food export and agri-food market policy. In relation to this, this paper introduces Efficient and Effective Utilization of Communal Facilities in agri-food export. Consequently, First, Export promotion scheme for agri-food is to precise analysis of import countries and to collection agri-food export procedure and agri-food market system. Second, In order to expand export agricultural products to new world market, we need to direct 3rd support program to enhancing competitiveness in expanding export of agricultural export.

인천 지역에 유통 중인 향신식물 및 향신료가공품 잔류농약 안전성 조사 (Monitoring of Pesticide Residues on Herbs and Spices in the Incheon Metropolitan Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 시중에 유통 중인 향신식물 및 향신료가공품의 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 인천광역시 지역의 농산물 도매시장, 대형마트 및 온라인 마켓에서 수거한 향신식물 및 향신료가공품 112건을 대상으로 다종농약다성분분석법으로 검사 가능한 잔류농약 400종을 검사하였다. 품목별 수거현황은 허브류(생것) 57건, 허브류(건조) 32건, 향신열매 11건, 향신씨 6건, 기타향신식물 4건, 향신뿌리 2건이며, 허브류(생것)(50.9%) 및 허브류(건조)(28.6%)로 많은 비중을 차지하였다. 잔류농약은 전체 112건 중 4건이 잔류허용기준 이내로 검출되어 3.6%의 검출률을 보였으며 기준을 초과한 농산물은 13건(11.6%)이었다. 총 11종의 농약성분이 검출되었고 검출된 작물은 바질, 고수, 딜, 레몬밤, 레몬그라스, 민트, 타임, 로즈마리, 카디멈이었다. 향신식물의 잔류농약 검출 결과, 잔류허용기준이 설정되어 있는 농약의 잔류량이 허용기준 이하인 것은 농약 안전사용기준인 농약의 살포량, 살포횟수, 살포시기를 기준에 맞게 사용된 것으로 추측된다. 농약 안전사용기준을 준수하지 않으면 부적합 처리될 가능성이 많아지게 되므로 재배농가들이 농약사용지침을 반드시 준수하도록 지도 감독을 강화해야 할 것이다. 향신식물의 잔류농약 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 잔류허용기준(MRLs) 설정이 필요하다고 판단된다.

관광소득의 요인별 분포특성에 근거한 농촌마을 개발전략에 관한 연구 (A Development Strategy for Rural Villages Based on the Major Factors to Tourism Income)

  • This study aims to suggest new development strategy for rural villages considering their tourism income. In order to select the several study villages, the present study surveyed roughly the outline for resource characteristics about green-tourism of 83 rural tourist villages introduced on the internet. On the five rural villages, which are Moondang-ri, Yangsoo-ri, Molwoon-ri(Tomato-village), Yongsan-ri(Yongbayi-gol), and Kaya-ri(Ogam-village) located on Chungnam, Kyunggi, Kangwon, Chungbuk, and Kyunggi province, this study surveyed detailed data on the tourism income. The results show that the food sales business in the village makes about 50% of the total village income per year from the tourist, and followed by agricultural products sale, stay in farmhouses, and experience activity in the villages. The average total income of the five villages was estimated 93 million won per year and the average income per household was 1.5 million won in the study villages. The study suggests new strategy with the three kinds of important components for the rural village development considering the analysis results such as the bringing up of human resources for the village management and developing experience program for tourist, the characterization of agricultural products in the village, and the remodeling of village amenity environment for tourists.
