국내 콘크리트 교량에 적합한 비파괴 시험법 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Non-destructive Test for Concrete Bridges in Korea)

  • Non-destructive field tests of the concrete has achieved increasing acceptance for the evaluation of existing concrete structures. But the application of this test has not still accomplished to guarantee perfectly the durability of the concrete bridges in Korea. As two major testing methods, this paper recommends the proper empirical relationship between the rebound number together with the ultrasonic pulse velocity and the core strength. Also, this paper recommend the relationships as the aging and as the element.

  • Time dependent analysis of prestressed concrete beams subjected to pure torsion is studied. The present theory covers the behavior from the service load range to the ultimate stage. The tensile resistance of concrete is appropriately considered. The biaxial stress effects due to diagonal cracking are also taken into account. The time dependent aging, creep and shringkage effects are modelled by employing the equivalent nonmechanical torque concept. The present theory allows more accurate prediction of the service load behavior of pretressed concrete members.

슬래그 골재를 사용한 투수성 콘크리트의 물리적 성질 (Physical Properties of Permeable Concrete Using Slag as an Aggregate)

  • 본 연구는 제철소에서 부산물로 생성되는 고로슬래그 및 제강슬래그를 골재의 일부로 대체 사용하고 고성능AE감수제를 적정량 사용하여 고품질의 투수성 콘크리트를 제조하는 것에 관한 것이다. 제강슬래그의 경우는 부피팽창을 감소시키기 위하여 살수에 의한 에이징 처리를 하여 실험에 사용하였다. 실험결과 고성능AE감수제와 슬래그를 사용하는 경우 투수계수 0.1 ㎝/sec 이상을 유지하는 상태에서 재령 28일의 압축강도 24MPa정도까지의 비교적 높은 강도의 투수성 콘크리트를 제조할 수 있었으며, 에이징 처리한 제강슬래그를 대체 사용한 콘크리트에서의 이상팽창에 의한 문제점은 나타나지 않았다.

Stochastic Estimation of Acoustic Impedance of Glass-Reinforced Epoxy Coating

  • An epoxy coating applied to the concrete surface of a containment building deteriorates in hazardous environments such as those containing radiation, heat, and moisture. Unlike metals, the epoxy coating on a concrete liner absorbs and discharges moisture during the degradations process, so it has a different density and volume during service. In this study, acoustic impedance was adopted for characterizing the degradation of a glass-reinforced epoxy coating using the acoustic reflection coefficient (reflectance) on a rough epoxy coating. For estimating the acoustic reflectance on a wavy epoxy coating surface, a probabilistic model was developed to represent the multiple irregular reflections of the acoustic wave from the wavy surface on the basis of the simulated annealing technique. A number of epoxy-coated concrete specimens were prepared and exposed to accelerated aging conditions to induce an artificial aging degradation in them. The acoustic impedance of the degraded epoxy coating was estimated successfully by minimizing the error between a waveform calculated from the mathematical model and a waveform measured from the surface of the rough coating.

  • In this paper, we evaluated the suitability of converter slag as concrete aggregate by measuring physical and chemical characteristics of converter slag. The converter slag mainly contains SiO₂and CaO as the chemical composition. The reaction with water and a little of free CaO in the slag causes slag's volume to expanse. Therefore, we used several aging method in order to decrease the characteristics of slag volume expansion. Then the compressive strength of concrete with the converter slag aggregate is measured.

  • We studied the example of various side on effect the aging of exterior materials for concrete structure by analyzing the reason of water leakage in exist serviced skyscraper apartment. For this side, we would like to suggest the proper waterproofing materials and construction methods resulted in the mechanical performance test. So, it could be ensured the leakage safety for using residence facility and crowd utilization after repairing. It may maximize the durability for the concrete structure.

  • 본 연구에서는 FA의 치환율을 20 % 까지 증가시킨 콘크리트의 초기강도 증진 등 품질향상을 목적으로 새롭게 개발한 혼화제(이하 개발혼화제: 기호 G), 조강제, 수산화칼슘{Ca(OH)$_2$}및 미분시멘트 등을 사용하여 그 다량활용 가능성을 검토하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 혼합재료 종류별 슬럼프 로스는 Plain보다 조강제및 Ca(OH)2가 감소폭이 작게 나타나 개선된 결과치를 나타내었고, 미분시멘트와 G 혼화제는 슬럼프 로스가 크게나타났다. 공기량은 모든 혼합재료에서 모두 목표공기량을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 혼합재료 종류별 콘크리트의 압축강도는 조기 강도에서 G 혼화제가 재령 3일, 7일, 28일 모두 가장 크게 나타났고, 미분시멘트 및 조강제는 재령 3일 강도가 Plain보다 높은 강도증가율을 보였지만 재령이 증가하면 강도증가는 점차 둔화되는 것으로 나타났으며, Ca(OH)$_2$는 거의 효과가 없었다.

Reliability-based assessment of damaged concrete buildings

  • Damages in concrete structures due to aging and other factors could be a serious and immense matter. Making the best selection of the most viable and practical repairing and strengthening techniques are relatively difficult tasks using traditional methods of structural analyses. This is due to the fact that the traditional methods used for assessing aging structure are not fully capable when considering the randomness in strength, loads and cost. This paper presents a reliability-based methodology for assessing reinforced concrete members. The methodology of this study is based on probabilistic analysis, using statistics of the random variables in the performance function equations. Principles of reliability updating are used in the assessment process, as new information is taken into account and combined with prior probabilistic models. The methodology can result in a reliability index ${\beta}$ that can be used to assess the structural component by comparing its value with a standard value. In addition, these methods result in partial safety factor values that can be used for the purpose of strengthening the R/C elements of the existing structure. Calculations and computations of the reliability indices and the partial safety factors values are conducted using the First-order Reliability Method and Monte Carlo simulation.

Study on Utilization of Converter Slag as Concrete Admixture

  • Converter has been slag produced 10 million tons per year in Japan. It is a steel making by product produced in the same way as the blast-furnace slag. Though blast-furnace slag is being used effectively as a concrete admixture, the converter stag has never been used effectively because of the expansion action of contained free lime and iron oxide. This is an important environmental problem in the steel industry. Beta-2CaOSiO$_2$(beta-C$_2$S) is contained 40 percent in converter slag, therefore it is very promising as a concrete admixture. We proposed an accelerated aging processes capable of stabilizing the converter slag in a short time. The converter slag is dipped into alkali aqueous solution after heating at low temperature. It was subsequently ground to a grain size of 75 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ , inner 30 percent of OPC. The properties of mortar and concrete using the blended cement were determined. As a result, it has become apparent that the expansion was reduced and long term compressive strength was increased while that at early ages was not so remarkable. The hydration exotherm rate was lower than that of the OPC.

우레탄 도막 방수재의 열열화 특성 (Influence of Thermal Aging on the Properties of Polyurethane Coating of Waterproof.)

  • 폴리우레탄은 방수재로 널리 사용되며 구조물에 발생되는 균열 및 거동에 의해 항상 외력을 받고있을 뿐만 아니라 사용 환경에 따라 각종 환경열화 인자에 노출되어 있다. 환경 열화인자로서는 자외선, 오존, 열, 수분 등이 잘 알려져 있다. 그 중에서 모든 열화의 기본이 되는 열의 영향, 특히 고온에서의 영향이 중요하다. 따라서, 노출형인 우레탄 고무계 1류 도막 방수재의 경우는 80$^{\circ}C$에서, 비노출형의 경우는 70$^{\circ}$C에서 촉진 열열화 시험을 3주간 실시하였다. 결과는 방수재의 기본물성과 인장 강도 및 신장율 모두 저하되는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 온도 60$^{\circ}$C에서 측정할 경우 급격히 물성 저하가 발생되었다.
