γ-Aminobutyric Acid 및 생균제 급여가 여름철 산란 종계의 생산성, 계란 품질 및 혈액 성상에 미치는 영향 (Effect of γ-Aminobutyric Acid and Probiotics on the Performance, Egg Quality and Blood Parameter of Laying Hens Parent Stock in Summer)

  • 본 연구는 여름철 γ-aminobutyric(GABA)와 생균제 급여가 산란 종계의 생산성, 계란품질, 혈액 생화학 조성, corticosteron에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 24주령의 산란 종계 총 105수를 3개 처리(대조구, GABA, probiotics), 처리당 7반복, 반복당 5수로 설정하여 사양실험을 실시하였다. GABA와 생균제는 배합사료 내 각각 50ppm과 0.1%로 첨가하여, 총 6주간 실험을 실시하였다. 전기간 산란종계의 평균 계란 생산량, 산란량은 대조구보다 생균제 급여 처리구에서 유의적으로 높았으며(P<0.05), FCR은 생균제 급여 처리구에서 낮은 값을 나타내었다(P<0.05). 산란 종계 계란의 난중, 난백고 높이, Haugh units, 난황색, 난각두께, 난각강도에서 처리구간의 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 또한 모든 혈청 생화학 조성에서 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 혈청 내 corticosterone 농도는 GABA와 생균제 급여로 인하여 대조구보다 유의적으로 감소하였다(P<0.05). 따라서 GABA와 생균제 급여 시 고온기 산란 종계의 스트레스를 완화시킬 수 있는 것으로 사료되며, 특히 생균제 급여는 계란 생산성 및 산란량 성적을 개선할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Effects of supplementing sweet sorghum with grapeseeds on carcass parameters, and meat quality, amino acid, and fatty acid composition of lambs

  • Objective: Sweet sorghum is an important forage crop for ruminants, especially in low rainfall areas. Grapeseeds are an abundant by-product of wine-making and contain bioactive substances that can improve the antioxidant capacity of meat. We examined the effect of sweet sorghum forage with supplementary grapeseeds on carcass and meat quality in lambs. Methods: Twenty-eight Small-tailed Han lambs (body weight = 19.1±1.20 kg), aged 3 to 4 months, were penned, and fed individually. The lambs were divided into four groups (n = 7 each) and were offered one of four diets: i) sweet sorghum silage; ii) sweet sorghum silage + grapeseeds; iii) sweet sorghum hay; and iv) sweet sorghum hay + grapeseeds. The grapeseeds were added to the concentrate at 6% DM and the diets were fed for 100 d. Results: Sweet sorghum silage tended (p = 0.068) to increase hot carcass weight, while grapeseeds tended (p = 0.081) to decrease dressing percentage without affecting other carcass parameters. Lambs consuming supplementary grapeseeds increased (p<0.05) meat redness and tended to decrease (p = 0.075) concentration of methionine in meat. Lambs consuming sweet sorghum silage increased (p<0.001) water content of the meat and had a lower (p<0.05) concentration of n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and n-6:n-3 PUFA ratio than lambs consuming sweet sorghum hay. Saturated fatty acids content in meat was lowest (p<0.05) in lambs consuming sweet sorghum silage with grapeseeds. Lambs with supplementary grapeseeds tended (p<0.10) to increase eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid and have a lower thrombogenic index than lambs not consuming grapeseeds. Conclusion: It was concluded that sweet sorghum with supplementary grapeseeds fed to lambs; i) improved the color of the meat to be more appetizing to the consumer; ii) tended to improve the fatty acids composition of the meat; and iii) lowered thrombogenic index of the meat.

거제도(巨濟島) 주민(住民)의 영양실태조사(營養實態調査) (Nutrition Survey in Koje Island)

  • Kojedo is the second largest island in Korea and a total population of 115,500 is living on the island of 394.69 sq. km. Under the direction of three nutrition professors, nutrition surveys in two villages in Kojedo, namely Siljun Ri in Hachung Myon and Soowol Ri in Shinhyun Myon, were carried by 30 college senior students majoring in nutrition from August to 20 August 1977. From a total of 176 households of the two villages, 67 households were randomly selected and 390 family members of the households were subjcets of the nutrition surveys. The precise weighing method was used in evaluating the kinds of foods and nutrient intakes of the subjects for three consecutive days. Thirty-seven pre-school children aged between 3 to 6 years and 27 fertile women were examined for biochemical findings and physical status. The main purposes of the surveys are to provide baseline data on nutrition in Kojedo Island for the Kojedo Community Development Project and to compare the nutritional status of the villages of Siljun Ri and Soowol Ri. Siljun Ri is located in the pilot project area of the Koiedo Community Health Project sponsored since December 1970 by the Christian Medical Commission of the World Council of Churches. While Soowol Ri is a control village for comparison. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Food Intake The average food intake per person per day in Siljun Ri, 1064 grams (91.7% in vegetable foods and 7.6% in animal foods) was 90 grams more than that of Soowol Ri, 974 grams (92.8% in vegetable foods and 5.9% in animal foods). However, the food intake per pre-school child in Siljun Ri, 485 grams (92.6% from vegetable foods and 6.4% from animal foods) was 21 grams lower than that of the Soowol Ri, 506 grams (88.5% from vegetable foods and 6.5% from animal foods). The average intake of beans was 16 grams(1.5% out of the total food intake) in Siljun Ri and 21 grams(2.2% of the total food intake)in Soowol Ri. The villagers should be guided for more consumption of soybeans to improve the quality of protein intake from vegetable foods. Nutrient Intake The adult intake in Siljun Ri and Soowol Ri were 2,529 kcal and 2,511 kcal respectively. The average energy intake of pre-school childen in Siljun Ri was 948 kcal and that for adult and 1,500 kcal for childen aged between 4 to 6 years-given by the Korea FAO Association, the diets in both villages were not adequate. Average daily protein intake of the subjected adult in Siljun Ri was 78.4 grams and that of Soowol Ri was 76.2 grams, while pre-school children took 30.7 grams in the former village and 31.7 grams in the latter village per child per day. The protein intake in both villages were lower than the recommended allowances, 80 grams for adult and 45 grams for $4{\sim}6$ years childen, and animal protein intake of the all subjects was very much lower than the RDA. The main charecter of the diet has been found low in quality of protein and high in carbohydrate. The calcium intakes of the pre-school children in both villages, 251.9 milligrams in Siljun Ri and 218.8 milligrams in Soowol Ri, were very much lower than the recommended allowance of 500 milligrams per day. It is apparent that the diet for children should be supplemented with calcium. Among the vitamin group, the daily average intakes of vitamin A and $B_{2}$(thiamine), $B_{2}$(riboflavin), C(ascorbic acid), and niacin were not adequate for the children in both villages. Especially the intake of riboflavin, 0.4 milligrams in both village children, was much lower than the RDA, 0.9 milligrams per day. Physical Characteristics Average height, weight, chest and head circumference of the pre-school children in both villages were similar to those of the Korean standard given by the Korean Paediatrics Association except that the average height of pre-school boys in Siljun Ri was 8 cm higher than the Korean standard of 105 cm. The mean values of upper arm circumference and skinfold thickness of pre-school boys in both villages were the same, 15.4 cm for upper arm circumference and 6.8 mm for skinfold thickness, but the mean values of those of the girls in Siljun Ri were higher than those of pre-school grils in Soowol Ri. Biochemical Findings Avera ge hemogobin value of boys and girls in both villages was the same, 11.1 grams per 100 ml of blood. The incidence of anemia (Hb value below 11g/100ml) was similar in both viltagesr 36.4% for boys and 50% for girls in Siljun Ri and 37.5% for boys and 50% for girls in Soowol Ri. Average hemoglobin values of fertile women were 10.7g% in Siljun Ri and 10.8% in Soowor Ri. The incidences of anemia(Hb valre brlow 12g/100ml) were 100% in Siljun Ri and 86.7% in Soowol Ri. The anemia of these subjects may be caused mainty low intake of good quality protein and iron intake from vegetable food. Recommendation In general, the nutritional status of a community health pilot village is not higher than that of control village due to the lack of nutrition improvement guldance services. Nutrition education should be delivered to the villagers as a main part of the health education artivities. The emphasis should be on building better health through bttter food habits and better food production as well as on preventing malnutrition and diseasrs. It can be an invaluable part of community developnent. Since nutrition is considered to be at least one-half of MCH care, no village or home visits should be made without careful provision for teaching and demoastrating something simple and practical on nutrition. The nurse, midwife, and village health worker should be the chief promoters of nutrition.

옻나무 분말, 규산염 및 크롬메티오닌을 급여한 한우육의 냉장저장 중 육질 비교 (Meat Quality Comparison of Beef from Hanwoo Supplemented with Dietary Rhus verniciflua Stokes Meal, Silicate, and Chromium-Methionine during Refrigerated Storage)

  • 본 연구는 한우에게 옻나무 분말, 규산염 및 크롬메티오닌을 급여하고 도축하여 생산한 쇠고기의 육질을 비교하고자 실시하였다. 26개월령 거세 한우들에게 각각 옻나무 분말 4%, 옻나무 분말 4%+크롬메티오닌 400 ppm, 규산염 1.4%,그리고 규산염 0.14%+크롬메티오닌 400 ppm이 혼합된 사료를 도축전 4개월 동안 급여한 다음 등심(M. longissimus) 부위를 $4{\pm}0.2^{\circ}C$에서 7일 동안 저장하였다. 조지방 함량은 규산염 및 규산염+크롬메티오닌 급여구들에서 높았으며(p<0.05), 보수력 및 연도는 규산염+크롬메티오닌 급여구가 가장 높았다(p<0.05). 지방산 조성은 규산염 및 규산염+크롬메티로닌 급여구들의 다가불포화지방산 함량이 낮았으며(p<0.05), 단가불포화지방산은 규산염+크롬메티오닌 급여구가 가장 낮았다(p<0.05). 저장중 TBARS 및 MetMb은 규산염, 규산염+크롬메티오닌 및 옻나무+크롬메티오닌 급여구들에서 억제되었다. 표면육색은 저장기간 동안 규산염+크롬메티오닌 급여구가 가장 높은 L값, a값, b간, C값 및 총육색을 보였으며, 규산염 및 옻나무+크롬메티오닌 급여구들의 L, a, b, C 및 총육색이 옻나무 급여구보다 높았다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 한우에게 규산염을 급여하면 옻나무 급여보다 지방 함량, 색택 및 산화안정성이 높았지만, 다가불포화지방산은 낮았다. 또한 규산염과 크롬메티오닌을 함께 급여하면 규산염 단독 급여보다 보수력, 연도 및 색택이 높았지만, 단가불포화지방산은 낮았다.

양념 돈육의 10℃ 숙성시 품질변화 (Changes of Quality Characteristics of Seasoned Pork during Aging at 10℃)

  • 한국 전통 양념(T1, 간장소스; T2, 김치소스; T3, 새우젓소스; T4, 양파소스)을 이용하여 10± 1℃에서 13일 동안 숙성 중 돼지고기의 물리화학적 변화를 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. pH는 T2 처리구를 제외한 모든 처리구에서 숙성기간 동안 유의적으로 감소하였다. 숙성기간 동안 염도와 당도는 증가하는 경향을 보였다. TBARS는 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였고, T4 처리구가 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다. VBN은 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였다(P<0.05). 보수력은 처리구 간에 차이가 없었으며, 저장기간의 경과에 따른 변화에서도 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 전단가는 모든 처리구가 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 표면 육색 중 L*, a*, b*값은 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, a*, b*값은 T2 처리구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 높았다(P<0.05). 심부 육색 중 a*, b*값은 T2 처리구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 높았다(P<0.05). 가열육에 대한 관능검사 결과, T3 처리구가 모든 검사항목에서 기호도가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 총균수와 유산균수는 모든 처리구가 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으며, 대장균수는 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 뚜렷한 경향이 없었다.

OPU 유래 수정란의 대량생산을 위한 고능력 공란우 반복사용 가능성에 관한 연구 (Possibility of Repeated Use of Elite Donor Cows for Mass Production of OPU-Derived Embryos)

  • This study was designed to know the possibility in repeat uses of elite donor cows for getting mass production of OPU-derived embryo production (OPU-IVP). Ultrasound transvaginal ovum pick-up (OPU) performed in 6 Korean native cows was aged 4 to 10 years old. The aspiration of immature oocytes for OPU derived embryo was carried out 2 times per week, and OPU-IVP of $1^{st}$ period was carried out 22~48 sessions from each donors. And the break time for OPU-IVP of $2^{nd}$ period after $1^{st}$ OPU from each donors were 2~25 months. The OPU-IVP of $2^{nd}$ period each donors conducted total 15~65 times for 2~8 months by an ultrasonographic, was guided follicular aspiration system. The average numbers of collected oocytes, grade 1 + grade 2(G1+G2) oocytes and cleavage embryo from $1^{st}$ period OPU-IVP were significantly differences between donors (p<0.05). Total collected oocytes of donor D were significantly higher compared with donors of A, B, C, E and F (average 17.0 per session vs. 11.2, 10.1, 8.5, 10.2 and 9.6; p<0.05) and also oocytes of G1+G2 were significantly higher compared with r A and D and subsequently to donors of B, C, E and F (average 7.9 and 8.5 per session vs. 5.0, 2.7, 6.0 and 1.6; p<0.05). Cleavage rate of donor D was significantly higher compared with donors of A, B, C, E and F (average 13.1 per session vs. 10.1, 9.1, 6.9, 8.9 and 6.7; p<0.05). The average numbers of OPU-IVP for $1^{st}$ period was significantly higher from donors of B, D and E than those from donors of A, C and F (average 6.5, 7.1 and 6.5 per session vs. 3.5, 4.2 and 2.8; p<0.05). The possibility investigation of $2^{nd}$ OPU-IVP was carried out after 2~25 months rest periods from $1^{st}$ period OPU session. Total average numbers of collected oocytes, cleavages and blastocyst development rates were significantly higher from $1^{st}$ period OPU compared with $2^{nd}$ period one (p<0.05). The OPU-IVP efficiency by break for more embryo production from elite cow was analysis comparing without rest of donor A, under 6 months rest period as B and over 6 months rest period as C and then the average numbers of collected oocytes, cleavages and blastocysts were significantly higher from A group (11.8, 9.5 and 5.2 per session) than those from B and C groups (7.9, 6.2 and 2.6 vs. 9.2, 7.5 and 3.9, p<0.05), and also C group was significantly higher than B group. In conclusion, $1^{st}$ period OPU-IVP was more efficient compared with $2^{nd}$ period repeated uses of donor, and the break times for additional production of embryo on donor were needed more than over 6 months after $1^{st}$ period OPU-IVP. This repeating uses of elite donor cows given more emphasis for getting the opportunity on mass production of elite cow OPU-IVP embryo should be increased G1+G2 possibility of genetic improvement of livestock within short period.

미국 Texas 일부 지역에 거주하는 한국 유학생 부인들의 식생활습관에 관한 연구 (Research on the Food Habits of Housewives of Korean Students Residing in a Southern Region of Texas, U.S.A.)

  • The purpose of this study was to research on the preparing fermented foods and food habits of Korean women in Texas U. S. A. The preparing method of fermented foods and food habits of Korean housewives whose husbands are studying at the various universities in Houston, Texas are surveyed. The analysed results indicated were as follows ; 1. 64.4% of women were in the thirties at their age, those in twenties 29.7%. 75.2% of subject graduated college. Period of residence in America were 52.5% under 3yr, 25.7% over 5yr. The respondents were aged twenties(29.7%) to thirties(64.4%) who have graduated from college(75.2%) or graduate school(24.8%) and have had the residence period of less than three-(52.5%) to more than five years(25.7%). 2. The kind of cuisine chosen for dinner were Korean style food. The most considerable person when preparing menu were husband. 48.51% of those in age were 3∼39yr(p < 0.1). 60.40% of the response graduated college(p < 0.1). The Korean-style foods overwhelmed over western ones in their frequency for dinner(82.2% vs. 17.8%). The person most considered for choosing menu was their husbands as responded by the majority groups of aged thirties(48.5%), college graduates(60.4%) and residence period of less than three years(42.6%). They satisfied comparatively when they prepared the meal (p < 0.1). 55.4% of the response learned cooking method from neighbor, 39.6% of remainder studied from cuisine book, newspaper, magazine, TV. They satisfied comparatively for the preparation of the meal(56.4%) and have learned the new methods of cooking from neighborhoods(55.4%) or cuisine book, newspaper, magazine and TV(39.6%). 3. The frequency of eating-out mostly had once a month. 30.69% of response were 30∼39yr(p < 0.1). 33.66% of subjects lived under 3yr in America. Eating-out once a month occupied 30.7, 33.7, and 20.7% of the selected group of aged thirties, college graduates, and residence periods of less than three years, each respectively. The type of food selecting eating-out were western style. 38.31% of them were 30∼39yr(p < 0.1). 39.60% of them graduated college(p < 0.1). 29.70% of them lived under 3yr in America. For eating-out menu, the western-style foods were most favored by the groups of aged thirties(38.3%), college graduates(39.6%), and residence periods of less than three years(29.7%). 4. 50.5% of subject had beef once three days, 23.8% of the response had pork once two weeks, 27.7% of subject ate chicken once two weeks, 34.7% of the response enjoyed fish once a week. Eating animal foods once three days for beef(50.5%), once two weeks for pork(23.8%) and chicken(27.7%), and once a week for fish(34.7%) were most frequent. 5. Korean traditional fermented food were mostly enjoyed in order of kanjang(91.1 %), kochujang(87.2%), fermented fish(85.1%), deonjang(81.2%), jang-a-chi(76.2%). 81.2% of subject used prepared-food by themselves. 56.4% of response made kimch at home. Among Korean traditional fermented foods, kimchi(56.4%) and prepared side dishes(81.2%) were provided at home while kanjang(91.1%), kochujang(87.2%), fermented fish(85.1%), deonjang(81.2%), and jang-a-chi(76.2%) were mostly purchased from stores.

성장 중인 수토끼에서 혈청 IGF-I 수준과 Flow Cytometry 측정에 의한 정자 형성의 변화 (Changes in Serum IGF-I and Spermatogenesis Analysed by Flow Cytometry in Growing Male Rabbit)

  • 본 연구는 New Zealand White 수토끼에서 춘기발동 기간 동안에 혈청내 IGF-I(insulin-like growth factor-I)과 GH(growth hormone) 수준의 변화, 정자 형성에 따른 정소내 세포 구성 변화 및 이들 측정치들 간에 관계를 조사하기 위하여 실시되었다. 주령과 관련된 정소내 세포의 DNA 함량 변화 조사를 위하여 $10\~28$주령 수토끼 정소 조직의 fine-needle biopsy를 flow cytometry(FCM)로 분석하였다. 생체중은 $12\~20$주령 때 크게 증가되었고(P<0.05), 28주령 체중은 3.4kg이었다. 혈청 IGF-I 수준(451.3ng/mL)은 20주령에서 가장 높았으며(P<0.05), 그 후 낮은 수준으로 유지되었다. 혈청 GH 수준은 183.3pg/mL으로 다른 주령 때보다 현저히 높았으며(P<0.05), 상승시기가 IGF-I보다는 다소 빨랐다. 정소 조직세포 중 1C-세포의 상대적 비율은 18주령 때 $48.2\%$로 16주령보다 크게 상승되었고(P<0.05), 주령 증가와 더불어 $68\%$로 증가되었다. 2C-세포 비율은 18주령 때 $26.8\%$로 16주령의 $54.3\%$보다 현저히 낮았다(P<0.05). 4C-세포 비율은 18주령 때 $9.9\%$를 제외하고 $2\~6\%$를 유지하였다. 이상 결과에서 토끼는 춘기 발동 개시가 약 18주령에 일어나고 이 기간 중 IGF-I과 GH 수준의 변화가 나이 또는 체성장과 관계가 있었으며 그 영향이 정자 형성과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. Fine-needle biopsy와 연계된 FCM은 춘기 발동 개시와 관련된 정자의 형성 과정을 평가하는데 매우 정확한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다. 평균 CK-MB치는 $17.4\pm29.7\;IU/L$였다. 전체적인 이식편의 개통률은 $99.1\%\;(214/216)$(좌내유동맥 $100\%$, 요골동맥. $98.4\%$, 우내유동맥: $100\%$)를 보였다. 결론: 다중 복합 Y 동맥 이식편을 이용한 완전 동맥 무인공 심폐 바이패스 관상동맥우회술을 기술적인 문제점 없이 시행할 수 있었으며, 우수한 초기 임상 결과와 개통률을 보였다. 저자들은 특히 심장의 둔각 모서리 부위의 우회술시에 기존의 연쇄 문합에 비해 기술적으로 더 용이하며 복잡한 관상동맥우회술이 필요한 환자에게도 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다.보존하는 일에 등한시하여 왔다. 이 때문에 우리 민족 고유의 뿌리를 점차 잃어가고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 도시노점상을 정리하기 위한 목적으로 정부에서 도시 5일장을 개장한 것은 역사의 아이러니라 아니할 수 없다. 이렇게 정부주도로 개장된 5일장이 운영되어 온 지 2년이 되어가고 있다. 개장 초기에는 시에서의 지원도 적극적이고 소비자들의 호응도 좋았으나, 최근에 들어 활성화의 속도가 둔화되면서 도시 5일장의 개념을 재정립할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 정부의 주도로 시작된 5일장이므로 정부의 적극적인 추진하에 풍물시장 번영회와 활성화 방안을 모색해야 한다. 쌍다리 풍물시장의 5일장을 활성화하기 위하여 도시 5일장의 개념을 ${\ulcorner}$국민들의 생활수준이 향상되고 여가를 즐길 수 있는 여건이 형성되고 있으므로 전통문화(향토문화)를 유지하고 시민들의 정서함양에 기여할 수 있는 여가공간 조성${\lrcorner}$으로 규정해야 한다. 이러한 개념 하에 5일장의 주체를 명확히 하기 위해 시청 지역경제과를 중심으로 지자제의 실시에 발맞춰 지역특색에 맞게 5일장을 활성화하기 위한 전학을 수립해야 한다

동물병원 방사선사를 위한 대학 방사선학과 교육과정 개발 필요성 - D 대학 사례 중심으로 - (Necessity of Developing University Radiology Curriculum for Veterinary Hospital Radiological Technologists - D University Case Focusing -)

  • 동물병원 방사선사를 위한 대학 방사선학과 교육과정을 개발에 기초자료로 사용 하고자 동물병원전문와 방사선학과 재학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 동물병원전문가 20명을 대상으로 기본정보와 방사선검사 교육 이수, 방사선검사 실시 경험, 동물케어 및 동물 해부 생리학 교육 이수, 방사선 안전관리 교육 이수, 방사선 생물학 교육 이수에 대해서, 방사선학과 재학생 171명을 대상으로 기본정보와 취업진로 분야, 동물병원 인식 분야, 동물병원 관련 학과 환경에 대해 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과는 엑셀에 정량적으로 입력 후 SPSS ver. 26.0 을 사용하여 분석하였다. 재학생 의 평균 나이는 22.6세 이었고, 전체 171명 중 남자 92명이었고 여자는 79명이었다. 취업진로 분야에서 전체 대상자의 62.6%가 의료기관 취업전망이 좋다고 응답하였고, 의료기관 외 취업 희망에서는 동물병원이 83명으로 가장 높았다. 동물병원 취업을 희망한다고 응답한 83명 중 64명이 동물을 좋아해서, 47명이 발전 가능성이 높아서 동물병원 취업을 희망하였다. 동물병원 발전 가능성이 있다고 응답한 159명 중 96.2% 반려동물증가로 인한다고 응답하였다. 동물병원 관련 학과 환경에서는 94.7% 관련 기자재가 없다고 응답하였고, 학과에 동물케어 교과목 72.5%, 해부생리 82.5%로 개설이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 76.6% 동물관련 교과목이 개설되면 수강 의사가 있다고 응답하였다. 동물병원전문가 전체 대상자 20명 중에 4명이 동물에 대한 방사선 검사 경험이 없었고, 방사선사 2명, 기타 2명 이었다. 동물방사선 검사에 대한 교육을 받지 않은 자는 7명 이었고, 방사선사 2명은 동물 케어와 동물 해부생리에 대한 교육을 받지 않았다. 본 연구는 향후 동물병원에 취업하는 방사선사를 위한 방사선학과 교육과정 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

중년기의 식습관 및 기호가 건강상태에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Middle-Aged Food Habit and Preference on Health Status)

  • This research was attempted to investigate the correlation between food habits as well as preferences and health conditions of middle-aged people. 380 people living in Dae-gu, kimch$\breve{o}$n and k$\breve{u}$mr$\breve{u}$ng gun in the 40's or 50's were selected for this research as subjects from July 1 to August 15, 1990. The data analysis was made by way of frequency, percentage, ${\chi}^2-test$ and Pearson correlation using SAS package. The summarized results are as follows. 1. Among the total subjects of this research, 200 people (52.6%) were male and 180 people (47.4%) were female. The regional distribution was like this; 115 people (30.3%) lived in large city, 154 people (40.5%) in small and medium city and 111 people (29.2%) in rural region. 2. The survey on food life attitude on the subjects showed that they had a relatively good attitude, and there were little significant differences (p<.05) between men and women. But there were significant differences (p<.001) between rural region and city. 3. On the preferences for taste, food and cooked food the subjects showed the lowest preferences for processed milk-fat food and the highest for soybean and processed soybean food. 4. The research on health condition 1) 30.8% of the subjects were obesity. And this research showed that the percentage of obesity was higher among men (33.5%) than women (27.8%), and higher in cities (40.4, 34.4%) than rural region (16.2%), (p<.05, p<.01). 2) 90.8% of the subjects showed negative according to Diabetes inspection. 3) 2.0% of the subjects were hypertensive, and the percentage was higher among women than men, and higher in rural region than cities. 4) 12.6% of the subjects were anemia, and the percentage was higher among women (17.8%) than men (8.0%), and higher in rural region (23.4%) than cities (7.0, 9.1%). 5) DMFT index and DMF rate of dental caries was higher among women (DMFT index; 10.6 DMF rate; 88.9) than men (DMFT index; 7.3 DMF rate; 81.5), and higher in rural region (DMFT index; 11.8 DMF rate; 90.1) than cities (DMFT index; 7.4, 7.9 DMF rate; 79.1, 85.7). 6) According to the survey on self-diagnosed health status of subjects, the percentages of articular·neuralgia (48.9%) was the highest. And that of stomach digestion troubles (31.1%), headache (22.4%), anxiety excitement (12.9%), spastic constipation (12.4%), insomnia (9.7%), melancholia (7.9%) and etc (1.6%) followed. 7) People had allergied food which contained animal protein such as pork, chicken, mackerel, siakworm pupa, clam and so on. 8) In female cases, 46.7% of women became already menopausal and 13.3% of them was under menopause. 5. This research showed that there were significant correlation between food life attitude and health condition in obesity, anemia and dental caries but not in blood pressure. 6. And this research also showed that there were significant correlations between food preference and health condition in obesity, anemia and dental caries but not in blood pressure.
