Analysis on the Contents of Digital-related Studies in the Field of Costume (복식분야 디지털 관련 연구 논문의 내용 분석)

  • This study aimed to understand whether or not academic outcomes in digital studies shown in detailed field of costume were generated appropriately according to the development of digital technology by analyzing contents of studies in the digital-related studies, which were conducted with a background of the digital age. First, as a result of frequency of digital-related theses by the age of 'Internet Age(1994-2000)', 'Digital Age(2000-2009)', and 'Smart Life Age(After 2010)', which were classified according to the digital environmental changes, the number of theses increased drastically based on the transition point of each age. Second, representative keywords that appeared in each age included 'digital' and 'Internet' in the Internet Age, and 'digital', 'smart', 'Internet', '3D', and 'wearable' were shown in the 'Digital Age' and 'Smart Life Age'. Third, results of analysis according to the field of costume show that relevant studies were conducted in three fields of marketing/information, clothing construction and fashion design in the Internet Age, whereas the Digital Age produced relevant studies in all fields, and Smart Life Age was characterized by increase in studies in the field of fashion design and clothing construction. Fourth, results of analysis according to the contents of study show that relevant studies in the Internet Age were shown only in two subjects of 'preliminary study and trend of study' and 'studies using technical programs', and 'preliminary study and trend of study' decreased, but relevant studies in other fields of subject increased in the Smart Life Age. As shown above, relevant studies appeared as various subjects in many different detailed fields of costume in costume studies according to the stream of the Smart Life Age, which is growing fast recently, and is considered an inspiring result for development of studies in the field of costume according to the environment of the age.

A Clinical Study on Growth of Children Based on Analyzing Body compositions And Measuring Bone Age (체성분 분석과 골연령 측정을 통한 취학 전 아동의 성장에 대한 임상연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to have better data and to make efficient clinical reviews on pre-school children's growth based on two measurements; Body composition for measuring body volume and bone age for potential growth. Methods : The study was conducted with 221 children(118 of boys and 103 of girls) from three kindergartens. Body compositions(soft lean mass, body fat mass, percent body fat) were measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis, bone age was measured by bone density through ultrasonic image of calcaneus. Results and Conclusions : 1. The higher level on weight or BMI, the more averages of soft lean mass, body fat mass, percent body fat. 2. The average bone ages and bone age-chronological age were lower in under 50 percentile's group, but it was higher in upper 50 percentile's group. Also, children with high BMI had older in bone ages and bone age-chronological age. 3. The higher in height percentile based on the bone age; there were more soft lean mass. 4. The averages of bone age and bone age-chronological age were significantly decreased, the more percentiles of height according to bone age were big, they were higher than total average in under 50 percentile's group of height, lower than total average in over 50 percentile's group of height in both boys and girls. 5. The average of MPH were significantly decreased in top percentiles of children's height distribution. Also, in the upper percentiles of height distribution based on bone age were big in only boys. 6. The body compositions(soft lean mass, body fat mass, percent body fat) were related to body volume growth, which can he measured by weight or BMI. The bone age, bone age-chronological age, and MPH were related in terms of hight. The body volume growth was a little hit related with potential growth.

A Study of Consumer's Attitude to the Advertisements - With Emphasis on Sex Role (광고에 대한 소비자태도에 관한 연구 - 성역할을 중심으로)

  • The study was mainly concerned with providing a basis of the development of consumer's attitude to the advertisements, and the change of sex role portrayals in advertisements. This study was to analyze the consumer's attitude to the advertisements. For the purpose of this study, 550 questionaires were distributed to the married men and women in Seoul. The 418 data were analyzed by Frequency, Percentage, Oneway ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Multiple Regression Analysis and Pearson's correlation. The Major findings of this study were as follows ; 1) Advertisement preferences were significantly related to the age, educational level, income, and family size the cases of men, in the cases of women, the significant variables were age and educational level. 2) Good purchasing attitudes were significantly related to the age and family size in the cases of men. In the cases of women, the significant variable was age. 3) Advertisement preferences were significantly related to the sex role attitude. 4) Good purchasing attitude were significantly related to the advertisement preferences. 5) In good purchasing attitude, the most significant variables were advertisement preferences.

Difference of Age-Related Sensitivity to Organophosphates (유기인계 농약의 연령에 따른 감수성 차이)

  • The potential for a given anticholinesterase pesticide to exhibit age-related toxicity is essential information for an accurate and proper risk assessment of that compound. This investigation was designed to study the age-related toxicity of active metabolites of four organophosphates using in vitro detoxification measurement. The blood samples were collected from 1 month and 18 months old rats. The $IC_{50}$ values of mouse brain recombinant AChE of chlorpyrifos-oxon, diazoxon, malaoxon and paraoxon were 10.35, 112.84, 151.28 and 18.43 nM, respectively. When the plasma of young rats, and $CaCI_2$were added, the $IC_{50}$ values of mouse brain recombinant AChE of chlorpyrfos-oxon, diazoxon, malaoxon and paraoxon were 31.89, 164.25, 139.94 and 16.36 nM, respectively. The $IC_{50}$ values of mouse brain recombinant AChE of chlorpyrifos-oxon, diazoxon, malaoxon and paraoxon were changed to 136.840, 1244.45, 654.54 and 52.66 nM by A-esterases In adult rats. These results suggest that four organophosphates have a potential toxicity to exhibit age-related sensitivity.

  • This study was observed the variations in skin color, hydration, sebum content according to age groups at the forehead, both cheeks, and chin in 154 healthy Korean women subjects with aged 30 to 59. We selected four face sites (forehead, right cheek, left cheek, and chin) and measured with chromameter, corneometer, and sebumeter. All statistical analysis was performed on the computer software package SPSS 8.0. There was no significant difference of lightness between facial four regions in age groups but lightness showed to tend to age-related decrease on each regions. Redness and yellowness showed the highest values on chin and forehead respectively but there was no tendency to steady changes according to age variation. Both cheeks showed the highest hydration level and the lowest sebum content compared with forehead and chin in all age groups and there was tendency to age-related changes of sebum content on both cheeks. So we concluded there was decreasing tendency in lightness and sebum content according to the increase of age and there was no age-related change of skin hydration level at least in facial skin.(omitted)

Emotion Expressiveness and Knowledge in Preschool-Age Children: Age-Related Changes

  • Emotion is a central feature of social interactions. In this study, we examined age-related changes in emotion expressiveness and emotion knowledge and how young children's emotion expressiveness and knowledge were related. A total of 300 children attending a daycare center contributed data for the study. Observation and interview data relevant to measures of emotion expressiveness and knowledge were collected and analyzed. Both emotion knowledge and expressed positive affect increased with age. Older preschool children expressed positive affect more frequently than did younger preschoolers. Older preschool children also labeled, recognized, and provided plausible causes mores accurately than did younger preschool children. In addition, we tested whether children's errors on the free labeling component conform to the structural model previously suggested by Bullock and Russell (1986) and found that preschool children were using systematic strategies for labeling emotion states. Relations between emotion expressiveness and emotion knowledge generally were not significant, suggesting that emotional competence is only gradually constructed by the child over the preschool years.

Coexistence of Age-related Loss of Skeletal Muscle Mass and Obesity in Korean Men in Their Thirties: Understanding Incidence Rate and Key Influencing Elements

  • PURPOSE: The coexistence of age-related skeletal muscle mass loss and obesity poses a substantial health risk for individuals because it combines the detrimental effects of muscle mass reduction associated with aging and the health complications from obesity. This study aimed to identify the incidence rate and key influencing elements among Korean men in their thirties. METHODS: A cross-sectional study involving 934 male participants was performed using complex sampling analysis. Various influencing elements were investigated, including age, height, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, skeletal muscle mass index, smoking and drinking behaviors, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, fasting glucose levels, triglyceride, and cholesterol levels. RESULTS: The incidence rate was 2.90%. The key influencing elements were age, height, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, skeletal muscle index, systolic blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglyceride, and total cholesterol (p < .05). CONCLUSION: This study identified the incidence rate and key influencing element for CALSMO among Korean younger community-dwelling men.

Perception of marriage and marriage preparation - Consumers' age-related behavior differences - (웨딩소비자의 연령에 따른 결혼인식 및 결혼준비행동 차이에 관한 연구)

  • As the concept of "marriage age" gradually disappears, the consumption class of the wedding market includes not only X and Y generations but also Z generations, and each generation has its own characteristics as it is already known, and there are differences in the consumption. So this research analyzed age-related behavior differences in both awareness of and preparation for marriage. Three hundred sixteen unmarried Korean males and females comprised the study population and data was collected from March 5, 2019, to April 3, 2019. The SPSS Statistics 23.0 Package was used for analysis, specifically the functions of frequency, cross tabulation, factor analysis, chi-squared test, Cronbach's alpha, Duncans's new multiple range test (MRT), and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Marriage motivation was analyzed by three factors, and there were significant differences in two types. Marital involvement was analyzed by two factors, and both factors showed significant age-related differences. Concerns relating to marriage preparation were analyzed by four factors, and two varied according to respondent age. Regarding marriage preparation behaviors, the analysis revealed that the marriage preparation method appreciably differed between age groups. Our analysis also found significant age-related differences in "the main media usually used to acquire information" and "the paths preferred for acquiring information in preparing for marriage". We expect that study results will be useful for identifying new research directions, understanding the dimensions of the wedding industry, and developing related marketing strategies.

A Study on Age-related Difference in Risk Perception of Breast Cancer and Influencing Predictors (연령대별 유방암 위험지각과 이에 영향을 미치는 요인 비교)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the age-related differences in risk perception of breast cancer and the age-related differences in predictors of risk perception. Method: The subjects were 553 women aged from 15 to 64 who lived in Seoul, Kwang-Ju, Jeon-nam province. Data was collected by self-reported questionnaire surveys using convenience sampling. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, F-test with Scheffe test, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS-Win 10.0 version. Result: Risk perception of breast cancer was different by age group. Especially, risk perception in teenagers and the 50~64 years group was lower than the other groups. Additionally, general fear of breast cancer, information seeking style, experience, and knowledge were different between the age groups. The results of multiple regression analyses predicting risk perception indicated the following significant predictors: general fear and knowledge in all the subjects, general fear and experience in the 20~29 years group, and general fear in the other age groups. Conclusion: These results suggested that the construction of educational messages for breast cancer prevention and early detection should be designed differently for each age group.

CT Evaluation of Age-Related Changes in Epaxial Muscle Attenuation and Cross-Sectional Area for Sarcopenia and Myosteatosis in Small Breed Dogs

  • Sarcopenia and myosteatosis can increase the risk of adverse effects in dogs and humans. However, such imaging study results for evaluating sarcopenia and myosteatosis in small dogs have not yet been available. The objective of this study was to assess age-related changes according to the breed in epaxial muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) and fat infiltration using CT to evaluate sarcopenia and age-related myosteatosis in small breed dogs. In 144 dogs (92 Maltese dogs, 27 Poodle dogs, and 25 Shih Tzu dogs), Hounsfield Unit (HU) values and CSA of left epaxial muscle were measured at the thirteenth thoracic vertebral level on non-contrast transverse CT images. Differences in HU values and CSA according to age and breed were analyzed. The geriatric group (≥12 years) had significantly lower HU values of epaxial muscle than mature adult group (2 to 6 years) of all breeds. The geriatric group had significantly lower CSA of epaxial muscle than mature adult and senior groups (7 to 11 years) of Maltese dogs. HU values of epaxial muscle were not significantly different among all age groups of all breeds. Maltese dogs had significantly lower CSA of epaxial muscle than Poodle and Shih Tzu dogs in all age groups. Results of this study showed that as age increased in small breed dogs, muscle mass and density decreased.
