Functional transparent electrode was achieved by metal oxide-metal-Metal oxide (OMO) structure. Tailoring of metal oxide and metal layers, optically transparent and electrically excellent OMO films were investigated. Silver (Ag) is adopted for the metal layer and Ag oxide (AgO) is reactively formed by flowing O2 gas during the sputtering process. This spontaneous AgO formation from Ag simultaneously provides the good electrical interface with high transparency. Due to the feature of transparent electrode of OMO, it endows the shielding effect (SE) function of electromagnetic interference. Optically transparent and electrically conductive OMO electrode shows the high transmittance (83.7%) and low sheet resistance (6.5 Ω/☐) with SE of 29.54 dB.

The electrical properties of thick PZT films deposited on Ag-Pd/$Al_2O_3$ and Pt electrodes were carefully investigated according to the annealing methods and the sub-strates. For electrical properties measurements, silver was deposited on PZT films as top electrode. The crystallogaphic structure of the films was examined by standard X-ray diffraction method to determine which crystalline phase was present. Dielctric constant was measured at 1 kHz, 10 mV by using a HP4284A. The electrical properties of PZT films with 3 wt% PbO addition were not improved. It was also found that the Ag-Pd layer has a good possibility as electrode instead of Pt. It seems clear from the present experiments that the thick PZT films having the good electrical properties can certainly be obtained using spin on technique combined with rapid thermal annealing.

To synthesis of high purity micro silver particle, we extracted the silver from the waste by liquid-liquid extraction and used the rapid firing-liquid phase precursor (RF-LPP) method. The silver micro particle was synthesized at $500^{\circ}C$ for 3 hr in air atmosphere by RF-LPP method. As a result of the research, micro silver particle is measured X-ray diffraction (XRD), the main peak is nearly corresponded to the same as JCPDS card (No.87-0719). With using the RF-LPP method, the fine Ag micro particle indicated due to the control of nucleation site and the oxygen contents was decreased by reducing treatment. We expect this research contribute to advance in field of the recycling technology.

The synthesis and characterization of silver colloidal nanoparticles by chemical reduction of silver ions in aqueous $AgNO_3$ using sodium borohydride $(NaBH_4)$ as the reducing agent are described. The experimental conditions for aggregation and paricle size of nanosilver particles in water is investigated in terms of concentration of $NaBH_4$, reaction temperature, dropping rate of $AgNO_3$ and concentration of laponite. Stable nanosilver sol is obtained at three molar ratio of $NaBH_4/AgNO_3$ in conditions of without laponite. The size of nanosilver particles is increased as the reaction temperature is increased. The large size of nanosilver sol is obseved as the dropping rate of $AgNO_3$ is increased due to the aggregation of initial high local concentration of nanosilver particles. Stable nanosilver sol at high temperature $(>\;100^{\circ}C)$ can be prepared when laponite is used as protective colloid.
This study examined the effects of adding Zn to Sn-3.5Ag solder on the microstructure changes and behavior of interface reaction of the solder joint with Cu substrate. The solder/Cu joints were examined with microscope to observe the characteristics of microstructure changes and interfacial reaction layer with aging treatment for up to 120 days at $150^{\circ}C$. Results of the microstructure changes showed that the microstructures were coarsened with aging treatment, while adding 1%Zn suppresses coarsening microstructures. The Sn-3.5Ag/Cu had a fast growth rate of the reaction layer in comparison with the Sn-3.5Ag-1Zn at the aging temperature of $150^{\circ}C$. Through the SEM/EDS analysis of solder joint, it was proved that intermetallic layer was $Cu_6Sn_5$ phase and aged specimens showed that intermetallic layer grew in proportion to $t^{1/2}$, and the precipitate of $Ag_3Sn$ occur to both inner layer and interface of layer and solder. In case of Zn-containing composite solder, $Cu_6Sn_5$ phase formed at the side of substrate and Cu-Zn-Sn phase formed at the other side in double layer. It seems that Cu-Zn-Sn phase formed at solder side did a roll of banrier to suppress the growth of the $Cu_6Sn_5$ layer during the aging treatment.

Typical Mn-SnO2/Ag/Mn-SnO2 tri-layer films were prepared on a PET substrate by RF/DC magnetron sputtering method at room temperature. Based on EMP simulation, the thicknesses of the top and bottom Mn-doped SnO2 layers were kept at 40 nm and the Ag layer was maintained at 13 nm for continuous electrical conduction. The experimentally measured optical transmittances at 550 nm wavelength were ranged from 82.9 to 88.1 % and sheet resistances were varied from 5.9 to 6.9 Ω/☐. The highest value of figure of merit, ϕTC was 48.1 × 10-3 Ω-1. Based on bending test under 4 and 5 mm of inner and outer curvature radius condition, tri-layer film resistance varies only by approximately 1.5 % after 10,000 bending cycles, showing excellent mechanical flexibility.

Two-dimensional (2D) RuO2 nanosheets with nanometer thickness were synthesized using a chemical exfoliation method. The synthesized 2D-RuO2 was hybridized with Ag-nanowire (NW), which is attracting attention as a next-generation transparent electrode material. After coating Ag-NW on the substrate, 2D-RuO2 was subsequently coated on the Ag-NW. Although there was a decrease in optical transmittance, the hybridization of 2D-RuO2 confirmed the effect of reducing sheet resistance. Furthermore, the flexibility of the fabricated transparent electrodes was also studied. It was confirmed by the change in sheet resistance after bending. The additional coating of 2D-RuO2 improved the flexibility of the transparent electrodes.
A plant regeneration system was developed through shoot organogenesis from in vitro leaf explants of Chrysanthemum morifolium 'Ohblang'. The effects of different concentrations of plant growth regulators and AgNO3 on efficient shoot regeneration and inhibition of browning were evaluated in chrysanthemum. The explants were cultured on MS shoot induction medium supplemented with 12 combination treatments of 6-benzyladenine (BA) 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mg/L, and α-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) 0.2, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 mg/L in darkness for 6 weeks and cultured under a 16/8 h photoperiod for 6 weeks. The highest shoot regeneration was obtained from the explants cultured on the medium with 1.0 mg/L BA and 1.0 mg/L NAA. Based on this result, AgNO3 was added to a shoot induction medium containing MS salts, vitamins, 1.0 mg/L BA, 1.0 mg/L NAA, 30 g/L sucrose, and 6 g/L agar to reduce browning of chrysanthemum leaf explants. In the control treatment without AgNO3, leaf explants turned brown at the cut edge; however, browning was not observed in AgNO3 treatments. Shoot organogenesis was higher at low concentrations of AgNO3 and decreased with an increase in AgNO3 concentration. The explants cultured on shoot induction medium (MS salts, vitamins, 1.0 mg/L BA, 1.0 mg/L NAA) with 1 mg/L of AgNO3 produced the highest shoot regeneration with 2.6 shoots per explants and a browning index of 0.7. When the regenerated shoots were detached from the explants and cultured on MS medium, the shoots were elongated and rooted successfully.

Monodispersed flaky silver powder was obtained by controlling the ratios of $H_{2}O_{2}/NH_{3}$ and Agin in a mixed solution of ethylene glycol and ammonia with an addition of PVP. The effects of $NH_{3}/Ag,\; H_{2}O_{2}/Ag\;and\;H_{2}PtCl_{6}/Ag$ on its morphology and size were investigated. In $H_{2}O_{2}-NH_{3}-AgNO_{3}\;system,\;NH_{3}/Ag$ molar ratio was found to be an important reaction factor for the nucleation and crystal growth of Ag powder. The synthesis of flaky powder was optimized at over 6 of $NH_{3}/Ag \;and\;5\;of\;H_{2}O_{2}/Ag\;under\;1.0{\times}10^{-3}\;of\;Pt/Ag.\;Moreover,\;as\;the\; NH_{3}/Ag$ molar ratio increased, the size of precipitates was increased regardless of the amount of Pt. In the absence of $H_{2}PtCI$, the morphology and size of reduced Ag powder were found to be irregular in shape $2-4{\mu}m$ in diameter. However, homogenized fine Ag powder was obtained due to heterogeneous nucleation when $H_{2}PtCI$ used as a cat-alyst, and flaky one was synthesized with the addition of Pt over $1.0{\times}10^{-3}$ of Pt/Ag.
A relationship between microstructure and ferromagnetic resonance of Co/Ag multilayers has been studied in as-deposited and annealed multilayers iwth ultrathin (dCo < 1 nm) Co layers. Depending on the nominal thickness of Co Co/Ag multilayers represent a system of fine magnetic particles (dCo < 0.4 nm) or discontionuous layered structure (dCo/0.5 nm). FMR data has been interpreted in the framework of a odel of interacting fine particles exhibiting superparamagnetic behavior. Changes in the FMR spectra upon annealing have been attributed to the growth of the Co particles and to a transition from the fcc to hcp atomic structure of the highly (111) textured Co particles.
