RE Magnetron Sputtering에 의해 제조된 HAp와 HAp-Ag복합코팅층의 미세조직 (Microstructures of HAp and HAp-Ag Composite Coating Layer Prepared by RS Magnetron Sputtering)

  • RF magnetron sputtering법에 의해 단상의 하이드록시아파타이트와 하이드록시아파타이트은 복합코팅층을 ZrO$_2$와 Si 웨이퍼 기판에 코팅하였다. 이들 코팅층들의 두께 0.7∼1.0$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위였으며 또한 거칠기(roughness)는 3∼4nm였다. 열처리된 HAp 코팅층은 나노크기의 결정들로 구성되어 있었으며, 반면 Ag가 함유된 복합코팅층의 경우 결정질과 비결정질이 혼재되어 있었다. 열처리 전 HAp 코팅층의 Ca/P비는 1.9였고, Ag의 함량이 증가함에 따라 비는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 Ag 함량이 증가함에 따라 HAp코팅층의 미소 경도는 감소하였다.

백색 5K Au-Ag-In 합금재의 인듐 첨가량에 따른 물성 변화 (Properties of the White 5K Au-Ag-In Alloys with Indium Contents)

  • In order to replace 14K white gold alloys, the properties of 5K white gold alloys (Au20-Ag80) were investigated by changing the contents of In (0.0-10.0 wt%). Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) was used to determine the precise content of alloys. Properties of the alloys such as hardness, melting point, color difference, and corrosion resistance were determined using Vickers Hardness test, TGA-DTA, UV-VIS-NIR-colorimetry, and salt-spray tests, respectively. Wetting angle analysis was performed to determine the wettability of the alloys on plaster. The results of the EDS analysis confirmed that the Au-Ag-In alloys had been fabricated with the intended composition. The results of the Vickers hardness test revealed that each Au-Ag-In alloy had higher mechanical hardness than that of 14K white gold. TGA-DTA analysis showed that the melting point decreased with an increase in the In content. In particular, the alloy containing 10.0 wt% In showed a lower melting temperature (> $70^{\circ}C$) than the other alloys, which implied that alloys containing 10.0 wt% In can be used as soldering materials for Au-Ag-In alloys. Color difference analysis also revealed that all the Au-Ag-In alloys showed a color difference of less than 6.51 with respect to 14K white gold, which implied a white metallic color. A 72-h salt-spray test confirmed that the Au-AgIn alloys showed better corrosion resistance than 14K white gold alloys. All Au-Ag-In alloys showed wetting angle similar to that of 14K white gold alloys. It was observed that the 10.0 wt% In alloy had a very small wetting angle, further confirming it as a good soldering material for white metals. Our results show that white 5K Au-Ag-In alloys with appropriate properties might be successful substitutes for 14K white gold alloys.

  • In this parer, by means of adding nonsuperconductive phase sliver into YBCO matrix, the superconductivity of Melted Texture Growth (MTG) YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$\_$7-x/ was improved remarkably. In order to eliminate the crack inthe YBCO and the weak linkin the grain boundary, Ag contents from 2wt% to 18Wt% were doped in the YBCO It was found that J$\_$c/ of YBCO increase with the increasing Ag content till 14 wt% over 14wt% of Ag content, the Jc tends to stable . The grain size of YBCO became fine when Ag was added in the YBCO and X-ray diffraction showed that the YBCO crystal prepared by the above technique had (001) orientation and growing plane of YBCO was a-b plane. Using Bens medel, the J$\_$c/ was calculated and the best result was J$\_$c/ 76000A$\textrm{cm}^2$(77K, 100Gs).

Development of a Quadrivalent Combined DTaP-HepB Vaccine with a Low Toxicity and a Stable HBsAg Immunogenicity

  • When developing a combined DTaP-HepB vaccine, toxicity and HBsAg immunogenicity are both important considerations. Thus, for a combined DTaP-HepB vaccine with a low toxicity, the effect of the DTaP content and $Al(OH)_3$, gel concentration on the vaccine toxicity was investigated. Within the range studied, the higher the concentrations, the higher the vaccine toxicity. The importance of the tetanus toxoid content in the combined DTaP-HepB vaccine was also revealed. A higher concentration of the tetanus toxoid was found to have a negative effect on the stability of the HBsAg immunogenicity in the combined vaccine. Accordingly, considering the factors affecting toxicity and HBsAg immunogenicity, a novel DTaP-HepB vaccine (30 Lf/ml of diphtheria toxoid, 5 Lf/ml of tetanus toxoid, 10 $\mu\textrm{g}$ PN/ml of acellular pertussis, 24 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml of HBsAg, and 500 $\mu\textrm{g}$ Al/ml of $Al(OH)_3$ gel) was developed. It has a low toxicity and a stable HBsAg immunogenicity and also satisfies the potency criteria of K-FDA for a combined DTaP vaccine.

  • Fe based SOFC(Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) interconnector was fabricated by using the spark plasma sintering process and its microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated in this study. To fabricate the interconnector, the Fe-26Cr powder was mixed with the Ag (5, 10, 20wt.%) particles. In the Fe-26Cr-Ag sintered bodies, the Ag particles were almost dispersed at the grain boundary of the Fe-26Cr. The sintered bodies have the density of 87.2-97.5%, the density increases with increasing Ag content at sintering temperature of $850^{\circ}C$. Also, the compressive yield strength increases with increasing Ag content at the same sintering temperature.

Facile Preparation of Nanosilver-decorated MWNTs Using Silver Carbamate Complex and Their Polymer Composites

  • We successfully decorated multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) with silver by reacting Ag-NPs with thiolfunctionalized MWNT-SH. Ag alkylcarbamate complex was used as an Ag precursor. Uniform Ag-NPs (5-10 nm) were effectively prepared by microwaving within 60 s using 1-amino-4-methylpiperazine (AMP), which acts as a reaction medium, reducing agent, and stabilizer. The MWNTs were functionalized with 2-aminoethanethiol. Exploiting the chemical affinity between thiol and Ag-NPs, Ag-MWNT nanohybrids were obtained by spontaneous chemical adsorption of MWNT-SH to Ag through Ag-S bonds. The Ag-S-MWNTs were characterized by TGA, XRD, and TEM to confirm that Ag-NPs were uniformly decorated onto the MWNTs. The Ag-S-MWNTs were then employed as conducting filler in epoxy resin to fabricate electrically conducting polymer composites. The electrical properties of the composites were measured and compared with that containing MWNT-SH. The electrical conductivity of composites containing 0.4 wt % Ag-S-MWNT was four orders of magnitude higher than those containing same content of MWNT-SH, confirming Ag-S-MWNT as an effective conducting filler.

간척지에서 수확한 옥수수 AG-BAG 사일리지의 품질에 관한 연구 (Study on Quality of Corn AG-BAG Silage Manufactured with Corn Grown in Reclaimed Paddy Field)

  • 본 연구는 논에서 재배된 옥수수를 이용하여 AG-BAG 사일리지의 품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 충남 석문 간척지에서 수행되었다. 옥수수 AG-BAG 사일리지의 수분함량은 68~79% 범위를 유지하였고, pH는 3.49-3.65을 유지하였으며 수확기간에 따른 차이는 크지 않았다. 수확기가 늦어짐에 따라 AG-BAG 사일리지의 조단백질 함량은 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 섬유소인 NDF 및 ADF 함량은 증가하였다. 또한 수확기가 늦어짐에 따라 젖산 함량은 증가되었으나(P<0.05) 초산 함량은 감소되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대단위 간척지 논에서 재배된 옥수수 사일리지 제조에 AG-BAG의 이용은 사일리지 발효가 양호하여 품질을 향상시켰을 뿐 만 아니라 옥수수 사일리지 제조에 경제적이며 효율적인 방법의 하나가 될 수 있다는 것을 보여주었다.

  • Long length of Bi-2223 superconducting wires were fabricated by stacking, drawing process with different precursor owders and different heat-treatment histories. The precursor powders were 2 kinds of Pb content. And a part of the tapes were experienced pre-annealing process which caused tetragonal structure of Bi-2212 phase to orthorhombic structure of it was during drawing process. We confirmed the transformation of Bi-2212 phase from tetragonal structure to orthorhombic structure and reduction of second phases. We designed and made a continuous Ic measurement system for Bi-2223/Ag HTS tape. We could achieve best Ic of 65 A at the Bi-2223/Ag tape using low Pb content of precursor powder and experienced pre-annealing process.

생강(Zingiber officinale Roscoe)의 숙성기간에 따른 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Ginger(Zingiber officinale Roscoe) as the Ripening Periods)

  • 실험은 생강을 항온항습조에서 10, 20, 30일 숙성시키는 방법과 $95^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 증숙시킨 후 건조시키는 방법으로 숙성생강을 제조하여 품질특성을 살펴보았다. 생강의 외관은 숙성이 진행됨에 따라 수분 감소로 부피가 크게 감소하였고 색이 어두워지는 경향을 보였다. 일반성분의 경우 조회분 함량은 숙성기간이 경과함에 따라 증가하였고 조지방 함량은 반대로 감소하는 경향으로 나타났으며, 조단백질 함량의 경우에는 숙성기간에 따른 유의성을 보이지 않았다. 생강의 주요 유용성분인 6-gingerol은 열에 오랜시간 노출될수록 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 6-shogaol은 10일 숙성생강에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 숙성생강 중의 유리당과 유리아미노산은 숙성기간 경과에 따라 감소하였으며, 필수아미노산(threonine, glutamic acid, alanine, valine, leucine, tyrosine)이 생강 중에 다량 함유되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 숙성 10일 생강의 불포화지방산과 포화지방산 비율이 약 60:40으로 불포화지방산의 비율이 높게 나타났으며, 구성지방산 함량은 숙성기간에 따른 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 유효성분과 영양성분 면에서 판단하였을 때 증숙생강과 10일 숙성생강이 우수하게 평가되었다.

  • As a function of the composition and content of frit, the electrical property of Ag and Ag/Pd thick film conductors were investigated with microstructure. With increasing sintering temperature in Ag-frit thick film conductors, electrical sheet resistivity decreased, but again increased above 80$0^{\circ}C$. And when frit contents is 5wt%, compact and homogenious microstructure can be obtained, then electrical sheet resistivity has minimum value. In Ag/Pd-frit film conductor, the electrical sheet resistivity decreased with increasing sintering temperature. The system which having frit with low softing point has lower sheet resistivity then to add high softening point frit.
