2010 is the year when the Korean baby boomer generation faces retirement. With the need for affective strategies to keep this population healthy, the government has placed much effort to increase the regular physical activity (PA) level of older adults. Yet the prevalence of active seniors is still relatively low. This paper reviews the recent government strategies and efforts to enhance the physical activity levels of older adults and the PA programs provided in the community settings by major organizations and institutions. In addition, the problems of the current approaches are shown, and based on a review, the author provides five suggestions for promoting the PA level of older adults as follows. First, specific physical activity goals and objectives for older adults should be included in the National Health Plan 2020. Second, the recommendations for PA for seniors, which include a proper intensity, duration and frequency of exercise, should be provided. Third, the role of organizations and institutions should be rearranged for the proper dissemination of government provided community-based exercise programs. Fourth, a standard quality-control system should be provided, and finally, an evidence-based exercise program, which should be specifically created for the older Korean population, should be developed. Physical activity offers opportunities for people to extend the years of their active independent life and reduce functional limitations. To maximize the effects of government efforts to promote PA for seniors, we feel the comments provided in this paper should be closely examined.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to conduct a concept analysis of cultural nursing competence. Methods: Cultural nursing competence was analyzed using Rodgers' evolutionary concept development method. A literature search using the keywords "cultural nursing competence", "intercultural nursing competence", "cultural nursing", "cultural health nursing", and "cultural competence" was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, ERIC, and RISS on material published before 2015. Database and bibliographic searches yielded 35 records. Results: Cultural nursing competence comprised cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains. The critical attributes of the concept were sensitivity, equality, and activity. The analysis identified the following dimensions: awareness, openness, and coherence. The consequences of cultural nursing competence were personal satisfaction and social justice. The definition contained competence on both an individual and social level. Conclusion: Cultural competency enhances quality of care by narrowing health disparities and increasing client satisfaction. The concept analysis of cultural nursing competence may offer an acceptable framework which can be used to develop psychometric tools of this concept and provide guidelines in nursing practice.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status of studies related to the learning methods of biological nursing subjects in Korea. Methods: Five databases (KoreaMed, KMbase, NDSL, KISS, KiSTi) and grey literature were searched prior to February 2018. A total 12 studies met the inclusion criteria including 11 articles and 1 proceeding. Results: We included five experimental studies, five non-experimental studies, and two mixed method studies. First, most of the studies that applied a learning method focused on the subject of human anatomy and physiology; team-based learning was the method that was utilized the most. Second, the necessity of well-designed research was confirmed because the quality of included studies was low. Third, the research variables identified were mainly concentrated on the affective domain, and included satisfaction, motivation, self-efficacy, self-directed learning, confidence, attitude. We confirmed the need to develop a learning program that can also improve the cognitive and psychomotor domain variables in future research. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that further research should be conducted with consideration the domain of research variables evenly. In addition, future studies should apply various learning methods and included randomized controlled trials.
This study explored students' online fashion studio class experiences, and investigated the factors affecting their class satisfaction. An online survey of college students who were enrolled in online studio classes within apparel and fashion-related departments during the spring of 2020 was conducted in June 2020. Responses from a total of 213 participants were included in the final data. Respondents rated lecture clips as the most useful, followed by teacher demonstration and feedback, PowerPoint (PPT) supplements, and Q&As. Frequently mentioned areas of improvement were online platform stability and video quality. Many respondents also stated that more streamlined teacher-student communication channels, immediate and meticulous teacher feedback, the adoption of course contents developed specifically for an online environment, and provisions for equipment usage would be desirable. Student satisfaction of an online fashion design studio class was significantly affected by teaching presence, social presence, online learning system stability, perceived usefulness of teacher's demonstration, and affective response toward COVID-19. Students satisfaction of an online garment construction studio class was significantly affected by teaching and social presence, online learning system stability, and perceived usefulness of teacher's demonstration. Based on these findings, we recommend developing teaching contents and methods that allow students to feel included in class and establish an online system with various functions to enhance the sense of social connection that can enable two-way communication.
Purpose: This research aims at determining institutional commitment impact and how it influences job satisfaction. It aims at bridging the gap in research on the study topic. Its major focus is on work content and institutional commitment as the main variables and how they impact companies and employees. Research design, data and methodology: The current research has chosen the literature content approach and it is a reporting guideline for methodical assessments. It offers a consistent approach for conducting and reporting these types of studies, which can help to improve the quality and transparency. Results: The finding of the current research has showed that workers in social companies need jobs with higher values and responsibilities, company policy, among other factors. Workers' organization commitment towards social enterprise for improving workers' job satisfaction factors will include affective commitment, continuous commitment, normative commitment, and the commitment profile of the organization. Conclusions: This research finally insists that the findings of the current research would aid in enhancing employee knowledge and understanding of work satisfaction, as well as the essence of institutional commitment. Most employees lack adequate knowledge of the implications of job satisfaction not forgetting their personal needs as indicated in the individual need model.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the teacher training programs focusing on reflect qualities of teachers in gifted education. A total of 20 teacher training programs were collected from the office of education, the teacher training center of university and the remote training center. These teacher training programs were analyzed using a semantic network analysis. The analysis showed that 'curriculum', 'teaching and learning' and 'development of curriculum' were emphasized in teacher training programs. Therefore, teacher training programs are operated with an emphasis on teacher's professional qualities. The analysis also revealed that many of the teacher training programs were dealt with professional and teaching faculty's qualities more than affective qualities. Therefore, it is necessary to reorganize the teacher training programs to be diversified and balanced. Furthermore, in order to improve teacher's quality equally, we suggest a systematic training program should be pot in place.
Most of designers use applied software of computer programs instead of traditional tools such as brushes, poster colors, etc. for drawing and designing. For example applied software programs for design are applied the workings printing, presentation, movie, animation, character design as well as industrial design. Especially, quality of applied software programs in the field of visual communication design influence on the design results in future. Therefore, many college attempt to invest budget to inhrence the quality of software program in design education. However, effectiveness of investment is lowered due to the professional lack of software knowledge. This study tries to explore how the investment for software program in visual communication design becomes more effective, and to suggest how the order of software program, design curriculum through the affective computer usage in design education will be more useful than now. By comparing and contrasting the different cases in the computer environments of the colleges, this study was processing, the result of this study will contribute to the design education of visual communication.

This study intended to investigate the concept of Clothing Involvement and Brand and to provide useful basic data for building on affective brand strategy. The purpose of this study is as follows: first, It is to measure the result of Brand Extension attitudes and Brand Extension items by clothing involvement (high involvement/low involvement). Second, It is to classify the factors of Clothing Involvement which suggested in theoretical research and to clarify correlation between clothing involvement factor and brand evaluation, brand extension attitudes. Third, It is to investigate the affect that clothing involvement, demographic variable and brand type on Brand Extension Evaluation. Subjects of this study were the adult women in Seoul, who were extracted by sampling randomly during the fall of 1995. Questionnaire was used as major method of gathering data. They were analyzed by the SAS method such as Frequency, Anova, Duncan, Correlation, multiple regression, Factor analysis. Main result of this study were as follows : 1. In brand extension attitude evaluation by high-involve group and low-involve group, quality, reputation and buying intension of brand extension attitudes showed significant difference. B brand extension attitudes and items of high-involve group was high compare to low-involve stoup. High-involve group evaluated watch, underwear, shoes and stocking of extension items highly, and there is no involvement difference of perfume, parasol, cushion. 2. In order to classify the dimension of Clothing Involvement, it was carried out factor analysis. 1 found that Clothing Involvement was composed of 4 factors, namely, interest - fashion.perceived risk symbolism. Correlation between clothing involvement and brand extension attitude was as followed; Interest factor of clothing involvement was correlated the existing brand attitude. Brand preference of the existing brand attitude was related the image of brand extension attitude, interest of advertising was the quality and the reputation-image was the buying intension. 3. For evaluation of a factor influenced on Brand Extension, it was produced multiple -regression test. Demographic variables and brand types had some influence of Clothing Involvement and Clothing Involvement had on brand extension. 27% of interest, 26% of symbolism was explained by brand types and 15% of fashion, 6% of perceived risk was explained by brand types, demographic variables. And, 10% of brand extension was explained by interest, fashion and symbolism.
This study explored the relationship between users' integrated estimates (motivation, activity, & performance) of telecommunication companies' CSR & service qualities and their preference and intention to subscribe telecommunication services. The data were collected from 637 college students for understanding the relationship among variables in KT and SKT. The result indicates that social benefit motivation, legal/moral activity, and social performance of the integrated CSR estimates affected their preference. The estimate of philanthropic activity, however, was not significantly affected on preference. On intention to take telecommunication services toward KT and SKT, the estimate of social performance was only a significant variable in KT and legal/moral activity and social performance were statistically significant in SKT. Generally, the estimate of service quality was the most affective factor toward telecommunication preference and intention to subscribe its services.
Purpose - This study is to propose discriminative management strategies to long-term care facilities based on the empirical analysis after reviewing the effects of social support, perceived by long-term care facility employees, to service orientation. Research design, data, and Methodology - The research model designed social support, job stress, organizational commitment, and service orientation. The survey collected data from 453 customers in a long-term care facility in jeju. The SPSS 18.0 package was used for analysis. Results - First, social support for long-term care facility employees has a negative(-) effect to job stress. Test results, social support factors except appraisal support had a negative impact on job stress. Second, social support has a positive(+) effect to organizational commitment. Test results, informational support, tangible support and appraisal support had significant effects on organizational commitment. However, emotional support had a positive impact on affective commitment and normative commitment. Third, social support has a positive(+) effect to service orientation. Test results had a positive impact. Fourth, job stress has a negative(-) effect to organizational commitment. In the test results, employee's continuance commitment and normative commitment had significant negative effects in job stress. However, affective commitment had no significant impact. Fifth, job stress has a negative(-) effect to service orientation. Test results showed a negative impact. Conclusions - The study implies the following. First, that there should be a change in the social perception of long-term care facilities. 'Long-Term Care Insurance for The Elderly' was enacted to emphasize this responsibility for the elderly problems as a new system. Enactment of this Act was expected to improve the quality of life of the people by stabilizing the elderly life and reducing the burden of families. Therefore, long-term care facility system should be as efficient as possible for making plans for systematic and organizational support. Second, the efforts of facility managers to minimize job stress of employees is necessary. Accordingly, performing spontaneous work is required for a comfortable working environment and management. Third, the systematic education and training to employees for service oriented behavior of the facility will be required in the long term.
