침에 대한 정서와 인지요소 분석 (An Analysis of Emotional and Cognitive Factors on Acupuncture)

  • Objectives : Placebo phenomena have been considered as a confounding factor of clinical trial. Expectancy and belief of acupuncture have not been evaluated quantitatively. The present study was performed to analyze the emotional and cognitive factor .of acupuncture and investigate whether the expectancy of acupuncture treatment is associated with the cognition of acupuncture. Methods : The expectancy and the perception of bodily sensation (PBS) of 22 participants were assessed using self-reported questionnaire. The subjects used the self assessment manikin (SAM) to rate each of the standard affective image of the international affective picture system (lAPS) and other acupuncture-related image. Based on the degree of expectancy, the high expectant (HE) and the low expectant (LE) group were classified. The thermal and pressure pain threshold was objectively evaluated using radiant-heat device and algometer. The degree of expected pain of acupuncture and the actual pain of painful stimulation was subjectively evaluated using facial pain scales (FPS). Results : Using SAlVI analysis, we identified the negative correlation between hedonic valence and arousal dimension on acupuncture-related visual cue. The degree of the PBS and general pain threshold did not show any significant difference between the HE and the LE group. The HE group rated the acupuncture images as more pleasant, more arousing, than the LE group. In addition, we also found that the higher expectancy marked the lower FPS of the expected pain of acupuncture, but not of the actual pain of painful stimulation. Conclusions : Our preliminary study identified the psychological dimensions of acupuncture-related visual cue. These findings indicate that the expectancy of acupuncture could affect the cognition of acupuncture.

과학기술의 위험 및 이득 지각에서 감정추단 (Affect Heuristic in Risk and Benefit Perception of Scientific Technologies)

  • 여러 과학기술에 대해 사람들이 가진 감정적 심상이 각 과학기술의 위험과 이득을 판단할 때 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 단어 연상 기법을 통해 특정 과학기술에 대해 떠오르는 심상들이 무엇인지 확인하고 그 심상값으로 감정을 측정하였다. 감정추단 가설의 예언대로 과학기술에 대한 전반적인 감정에 따라 해당 과학기술을 더 유익하거나 더 위험하게 지각한다는 것을 확인하였다. 다시 말하면, 사람들이 판단의 대상에 대해 긍정적 감정을 가지고 있으면 부정적 감정을 가진 경우보다 위험을 더 낮게 지각하고 이득은 더 높게 지각하였다. 이와 반대로 부정적 감정을 가지고 있으면 긍정적 감정을 가진 경우보다 위험을 더 높게 지각하고 이득은 더 낮게 지각하였다. 또한 과학기술에 대한 판단에서 지각된 위험과 지각된 이득간에 부적 상관이 있었다. 감정추단의 작용을 시사하는 이런 결과들을 감정 측정 그리고 과학기술에 대한 의사소통의 필요성 측면에서 논의하였다.

중학생의 성별과 신체상에 따른 체육개념 및 체육목표의 차이 (Differences in the concepts and objectives of physical education by the body image and gender of middle school students)

  • 이 연구는 중학생의 성별 및 신체상에 따른 체육목표 및 체육개념에 대한 인식수준을 분석하는 것으로, 중학생을 대상으로 유층집락무선표집법을 이용하여 남학생 267명, 여학생 166명 등의 총 443명을 표집하였다. 연구목적을 위해 사용된 도구는 Figure Rating Scale(FRS)과 체육목표 및 개념에 관한 설문지이며, 수집된 자료는 Windows용 SPSS/PC Ver 12.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 조사대상자의 성별에 따른 체육개념 및 목표의 차이를 분석하기 위해서 t-검증을 실시하였으며, 조사대상자의 신체상에 따른 체육개념 및 체육목표의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 일원변량분산분석을 실시하였고, Scheffe의 사후검정을 실시하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 첫째, 중학생의 체육의 개념과 목표에 대한 인식에서 남학생이 여학생 보다 높은 인식을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 정상 체형의 중학생이 다른 체형의 중학생에 비해 체육개념과 목표에 대한 인식도가 높았다. 이러한 결과는 올바른 신체상과 건강한 체형을 형성 유지할 수 있도록, 또한 여학생에게도 체육개념과 체육목표를 경험으로서, 문화재생산으로서, 교과내용을 경험할 수 있도록 포괄적인 개념의 범위와 계열 및 계획된 수업진행이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

노인의 종교적 성숙을 위한 교회교육 방안 연구 (A Study on the Method of Church Education for the Elderly's Religious Maturity)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 빠른 속도로 고령화가 된 한국교회 노인의 건강한 삶을 위해 종교적 성숙의 과제가 필요함을 주장하고, 이를 위해 종교적 성숙에 있어서 본질적인 요인인 하나님과의 관계를 위해 긍정적인 하나님 이미지 형성 및 개발을 위한 교육적 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 노인을 위한 교회교육에 대한 선행연구 탐색을 통해 노인교육의 방향과 과제가 종교적 성숙이 되어야 할 필요성을 주장하고. 인간 삶의 여러 영역에서 종교적 성숙이 어떤 영향을 끼치는지 관련 변인들을 살펴보았다. 종교적 성숙의 과제를 성취하기 위해 성서적 및 신학적 성숙의 개념과 종교심리학적 성숙의 개념을 정리하였고, 종교적 성숙에 있어서 중요한 하나님과의 관계를 위한 하나님 이미지 개념과 성숙한 인간 삶과 관련 있는 변인들을 살펴보았다. 노인의 종교적 성숙을 위해 하나님과의 관계를 올바르게 맺도록 긍정적인 하나님 이미지 형성 및 개발을 위한 교회교육 방안을 지적, 정서적, 행위적 차원에서 제안하였다. 지적인 차원의 교육으로 성서적 및 신학적 하나님 개념을 교육하는 것과 지속적으로 하나님과의 관계를 맺으며 성장과 성숙이 필요한 존재로 노인 스스로를 인식하도록 교육하는 것을 제안하였다. 정서적 차원의 교육으로 노인들의 하나님 이미지의 기원과 형성 과정에 대한 성찰 및 확인하도록 교육할 것과 왜곡된 하나님 이미지 치유하기 위한 교육 상담적 접근으로 교육할 것을 제안하였다. 행위적 차원의 교육으로 다음 세대의 신앙교육에 있어서 부모와 조부모의 역할에 대해 교육할 것과 하나님과의 관계가 삶으로 나타나도록 실천을 유도하는 교육방법을 사용하여 교육할 것을 제안하였다.

학습공간에서의 독서 행위 시 조명환경에 따른 이미지평가 연구 (A Study on Image Evaluation consequent on Lighting Environment in time of reading in Learning Space)

  • The aim of this study is to deduce color temperature and illuminance by conducting the preference & affective evaluation consequent on illuminance change of ambient light in case of the lighting method of ambient light mixed with task light in time of reading which is visual work action among the action in learning space. As a result of the prior survey on preferred lighting method in time of the act of reading targeting 20 experts before doing evaluation, the method of lighting mixed with ambient light and task light was found to be the highest. Such a result is analyzed to be attributable to the fact that the less the difference in illuminance of nearby space and work surface because of the mixed method of lighting, the less the glare, which makes a reader feels easy and concentrate on reading. On the basis of descriptive statistics of evaluation results and impact analysis by category, this study recommends the application of combinations of ambient light illuminance ranging from 40lx to 100lx with color temperature of 5500~6000K in case of the method of lighting mixed with general light and task light.

  • We can see the relationship between Fashion creation and Art through the characteristic of clothings at Fashion Collections such as the round, abstractive motive, optical effect, symetric line, etc. This relationship between Fashion creation and Art brings the affective image and the aesthetic shock to open the door to imagination. Art-related people such as artist, fashion designer share the creativeness, new vision and artistic fever. We can see the link and co- work between art and fashion creation all over the 20th centary. Specially it reached its peak in 1960s when Paco Rabanne, Andra Curreges, Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint-Laurent introduced their works. This study includes not only the influence of the art but also the relationship between the art and fashion creation to analyze the way and the reason of the influence of the art in terms of the form, technique, material and process. Doing this, 1 try to ask and answer the question "through what form and at what situation fashion creation can be considered as an art." The study reaches the conclusion that fashion designer is the creator, technician and transferer if the the art.e the art.

CREATING JOYFUL DIGESTS BY EXPLOITING SMILE/LAUGHTER FACIAL EXPRESSIONS PRESENT IN VIDEO

  • Video digests provide an effective way of confirming a video content rapidly due to their very compact form. By watching a digest, users can easily check whether a specific content is worth seeing in full. The impression created by the digest greatly influences the user's choice in selecting video contents. We propose a novel method of automatic digest creation that evokes a joyful impression through the created digest by exploiting smile/laughter facial expressions as emotional cues of joy from video. We assume that a digest presenting smiling/laughing faces appeals to the user since he/she is assured that the smile/laughter expression is caused by joyful events inside the video. For detecting smile/laughter faces we have developed a neural network based method for classifying facial expressions. Video segmentation is performed by automatic shot detection. For creating joyful digests, appropriate shots are automatically selected by shot ranking based on the smile/laughter detection result. We report the results of user trials conducted for assessing the visual impression with automatically created 'joyful' digests produced by our system. The results show that users tend to prefer emotional digests containing laughter faces. This result suggests that the attractiveness of automatically created video digests can be improved by extracting emotional cues of the contents through automatic facial expression analysis as proposed in this paper.

Feeling Florence Nightingale: Theorizing Affect in Transatlantic Periodical Poetry

  • Florence Nightingale is best remembered today as the Lady with the Lamp, but modern research on the English nurse primarily addresses her popular iconography as a historical misrepresentation of her character and career. This scholarly reluctance to analyze critically Nightingalean iconography, however, has obscured important cultural work performed by the popular tropes. This article argues that the proliferation of Nightingale's iconic image as a symbol of Christian womanhood in transatlantic periodical poetry, when examined separately from biographical considerations, reveals important insights into the complex relationship between form and affect in mid-nineteenth periodicals. Popular representations of Nightingale give form to the disorienting effects produced on newspaper readers by the nascent field of international journalism and reflect a key generic paradox at the heart of the Victorian periodical: the simultaneous aim to report news objectively and to move readers affectively in response to events beyond national contexts and interests. Focusing on Lewis Carroll's "The Path of Roses" and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's "Santa Filomena," this article contends that Nightingalean periodical poetry mirrors back to readers their own affective response to modern media and functions as a new technology for managing an increasingly acute awareness of events and ethical responsibilities beyond the nation.

의복관여와 상표확장과의 상관성 연구 (A Study on Correlation Between Clothing Involvement and Brand Extension)

  • This study intended to investigate the concept of Clothing Involvement and Brand and to provide useful basic data for building on affective brand strategy. The purpose of this study is as follows: first, It is to measure the result of Brand Extension attitudes and Brand Extension items by clothing involvement (high involvement/low involvement). Second, It is to classify the factors of Clothing Involvement which suggested in theoretical research and to clarify correlation between clothing involvement factor and brand evaluation, brand extension attitudes. Third, It is to investigate the affect that clothing involvement, demographic variable and brand type on Brand Extension Evaluation. Subjects of this study were the adult women in Seoul, who were extracted by sampling randomly during the fall of 1995. Questionnaire was used as major method of gathering data. They were analyzed by the SAS method such as Frequency, Anova, Duncan, Correlation, multiple regression, Factor analysis. Main result of this study were as follows : 1. In brand extension attitude evaluation by high-involve group and low-involve group, quality, reputation and buying intension of brand extension attitudes showed significant difference. B brand extension attitudes and items of high-involve group was high compare to low-involve stoup. High-involve group evaluated watch, underwear, shoes and stocking of extension items highly, and there is no involvement difference of perfume, parasol, cushion. 2. In order to classify the dimension of Clothing Involvement, it was carried out factor analysis. 1 found that Clothing Involvement was composed of 4 factors, namely, interest - fashion.perceived risk symbolism. Correlation between clothing involvement and brand extension attitude was as followed; Interest factor of clothing involvement was correlated the existing brand attitude. Brand preference of the existing brand attitude was related the image of brand extension attitude, interest of advertising was the quality and the reputation-image was the buying intension. 3. For evaluation of a factor influenced on Brand Extension, it was produced multiple -regression test. Demographic variables and brand types had some influence of Clothing Involvement and Clothing Involvement had on brand extension. 27% of interest, 26% of symbolism was explained by brand types and 15% of fashion, 6% of perceived risk was explained by brand types, demographic variables. And, 10% of brand extension was explained by interest, fashion and symbolism.

인공지능 기반 DALL-E2 활용 쓰기 활동에 대한 영어학습자들의 인식 조사 (A Pilot Study of English Learners' Perception on Writing Activities using AI-Based DALL-E2)

  • 본 예비연구의 목적은 이미지 생성 인공지능 도구인 DALL-E2를 활용하여 영어 작문 활동을 실시한 후 중학생들의 영어 학습에 미치는 반응을 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 15명의 중학교 영어학습자를 대상으로 3주간 실험 수업을 진행하였으며 그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, DALL-E2 활용 영어 작문 활동에 대한 설문조사 결과, 자신감, 흥미 및 인공지능 기반 도구 활용 쓰기에 대한 인식이 긍정적으로 변화하였음을 알 수 있었다. 아울러 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났음을 확인하였으며 이는 인공지능 활용 학습이 영어 작문 및 전반적인 영어 학습에 있어 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다는 것을 의미하였다. 둘째, DALL-E2 활용 영어 작문 활동에 대한 소감문을 내용분석을 통해 분석한 결과, 핵심 주제를 3가지(인지적, 정의적, 심동적 특성)로 추출할 수 있었으며 영어 학습에 있어 인공지능 기반의 DALL-E2의 활용과 접목은 학습에 대한 새로운 흥미와 도전, 의지, 적극성을 높이며 궁극적으로는 영어표현력(productive skill) 향상에 일부 기여한 것으로 해석할 수 있었다.
