광 도파관이 외부로 노출된 구조를 가지는 비분산적외선 이산화탄소 센서 (Non-dispersive infrared carbon dioxide sensor with an externally exposed optical cavity)

  • In this study, a Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) Carbon Dioxide (CO2) sensor with an externally exposed optical cavity is proposed for improving sensitivity. NDIR CO2 sensors with high performance must use a lamp-type infrared (IR) source with a strong IR intensity. However, a lamp-type IR source generates high thermal energy that induces thermal noise, interfering with the accuracy of the CO2 concentration measure. To solve this problem, the optical cavity of the NDIR CO2 sensor is exposed to quickly dissipate heat. As a result, the proposed NDIR CO2 sensor has a shorter warm-up time and a higher sensitivity compared to the conventional NDIR CO2 sensor.

고도산화공정을 이용한 반응성 염료의 제거 및 생태독성 저감 (Degradation and Ecotoxicity Reduction of Reactive Dye by Using Advanced Oxidation Process)

  • In this study, the deriving optimum conditions for decolorization of Acid Orange II solution was carried using $TiO_2$ advanced oxidation process. After that, on base of the deriving results, the range of dye concentration was estimated. In addition, acute toxicity test was also carried to assess toxicity unit according to decolorization and TOC removal. In case of the blockage of light, 20 mg/L of dye solution, and 0.5 g $TiO_2$, the effect of decolorization at pH 3 was larger than at pH 6 and 10, so it was shown that decolorization is dependent on pH. The use of 5 g $TiO_2$ showed best performance of decolorization, but that of 3 g $TiO_2$ was chosen to optimum condition in considering of economical aspects. Four light sources, sun, fluorescent lamp, BLB lamp, and UV-B lamp, were used and decolorization was 99.4% and 100% at 50 mg/L, 98.6% and 99.7% at 100 mg/L for sun and UV-B lamp, respectively. In spite of the optimum condition of decolorization at pH 3, the evaluation of acute toxicity test showed highly toxic. In conclusion, although the optimum treatment of dye solution is performed, water ecology can be polluted in discharging it into water system. Therefore, it is needed to study of water ecological system with dye water treatment, and it takes all the circumstances into consideration.

하수 2차 처리수 재이용을 위한 저압 및 중압 고도산화시스템의 성능평가 (Assessment of Advanced Oxidation Processes using Low and Medium-Pressure Lamps with H2O2 for Reclamation of Biologically Treated Wastewater Effluents)

  • In the present study, the feasibility of $UV/H_2O_2$ systems was investigated using low and medium-pressure lamps on biologically treated wastewater effluents for secondary effluent reclamation. Two types of UV lamps were used as the light sources (a 39-W low-pressure mercury lamp and a 350-W medium-pressure mercury lamp). The results from these UV systems showed that the removal of organic compounds could be achieved in the contact time of longer than 30min (i.e., low UV doses). Efficiencies of color removal and disinfection were far better than those of organic matters measured as TOC, DOC and $TCOD_{cr}$. In the low-pressure lamp UV system, it has been found that DOC and color removals were 60.9 and 86.2% with 50mg/L of $H_2O_2$ and contact times of 30 minute, respectively. Whereas, with the medium-pressure lamp UV system, TOC, DOC and color removal were 27.1, 5.6 and 95% with 14.3mg/L of $H_2O_2$ and 14 minute of contact times, respectively. Both systems could be applied for the reclamation of secondary effluent treated with biological treatment processes.

합성곱 신경망 기반 야간 차량 검출 방법 (Night-time Vehicle Detection Method Using Convolutional Neural Network)

  • In this paper, we present a night-time vehicle detection method using CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) classification. The camera based night-time vehicle detection plays an important role on various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as automatic head-lamp control system. The method consists mainly of thresholding, labeling and classification steps. The classification step is implemented by existing CIFAR-10 model CNN. Through the simulations tested on real road video, we show that CNN classification is a good alternative for night-time vehicle detection.

  • This paper describes the implementation of control and monitoring system of ship's lamps at local area using power line communication method, power line modem(PLM). We design modem, microprocessor interface for electric power control by frequency control and analog to digital signal conversion, lamp device. PLM communication is very economical using existing electric power line unlike RS-232, RS-485 communications. We verify and confirm by experimental work that control and monitor lamp system for ship by an PLM communication.

  • This paper presents the effective design of the change of average illuminance and the arrangement of lamps by changing the form of working area and adjusting the distance between the wall and light. This study is intended to simplify the complex calculation of illuminance through the development of application program. It's plan to study application programs that can attain the value of advanced uniformly-distributed illuminance and average illuminance by changing the distance between the horizontal/vertical wall and lamp and between the horizontal/vertical lamp and lamp.

  • This paper presents the power supply system which is made of three units: the capacitor charging and main pulse unit, simmer power supply unit, and series trigger unit. The capacitor charging and main pulse unit charges the capacitor bank by using the series parallel resonant converter and the generated main pulses apply to the lamp. The series trigger unit ionize the xenon gas located in the lamp and the simmer power supply unit sustains the ionized condition. It means that the lamp lifetime and efficiency are advanced by reducing the number of triggering. Not only the operation of the proposed system but also the performance of each unit will be verified by the experimental results.

자동차용 실내등의 TIG 용접기술에 관한 연구 (A study on the TIG Welding Technology of Room Lamp for Vehicle)

  • 최근 전자제품에 납이나 크롬, 수은 등 중금속을 사용하지 않고 환경친화적으로 대체해 가는 업체들이 늘고있다. 선진국에서는 납을 사용하지 않는 무연솔더가 개발되면서 납땜 공정이 거의 사라지고 있으나 무연솔더의 경우 친환경적이지만 가격이 비싸고 납에 비해 접착성과 내구성 등이 떨어져 개량이 필요한 것이 현실이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 TIG 용접을 이용하여 실내등의 도입선과 베이스부에 대한 이종금속 용접기술을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 기존의 실내등 제작공정을 파악하여 용접 공정으로 대체할 수 있는 방안을 마련하였고 TIG 용접 파라미터의 최적값을 선정하기 위해 시험을 수행하였다. 마지막으로 전구 수명 시험과 내진성 평가를 실시하여 용접된 실내등의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다.

광반응 반응기 내부의 에너지 분포와 라디칼 생성에 대한 연구 (Evaluation of Hydroxyl radical Formation and Energy Distribution in Photolysis Reactor)

  • 본 연구에서는 광 반응기 내부의 영향반경을 평가하기 위해 자외선(UV-C) 램프의 강도와 photochemical에 의한 OH 라디칼 생성량을 측정하였다. 또한 $TiO_2$ (Degussa P-25)를 농도별로 첨가하여 자외선 램프의 영향반경을 측정하였다. 광 반응기는 아크릴 재질의 bath 타입을 사용하였고, 254 nm의 파장을 가진 UV-C 자외선 램프를(SANKYO DENKI, 지름 : 2.2 cm, 길이 : 18.5 cm) 사용하였다. 램프의 소비전력은 10.5 W이고, OH 라디칼 생성량을 측정하기 위해 KI dosimetry를 사용하였다. 실험 결과로부터 광 반응기에서 자외선의 강도가 0.367 mW/$cm^2$이상 조사되어야하고, 거리는 13 cm 이내에서 OH 라디칼 생성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 광촉매 반응기에서는 촉매의 농도로 인해 자외선의 영향반경이 매우 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

The discharge characteristic of Li ion doped MgO film in a flat fluorescent lamp structure

  • This paper investigates how various concentrations of lithium ion influence on crystallization of MgO in thin films formed by spin coating and an the discharge characteristic in a flat fluorescent lamp structure. The XRD results indicate $Li^+$ ion enhances the growth of MgO crystal in a spin coated thin film. The discharge property with the $Li^+$ ion doped MgO films show the lithium ion in MgO film clearly reduce the initial discharge voltages of test devices. Interestingly, the test panels with various doped MgO film have somewhat higher static memory margin of than that of pure-MgO owing probably to the pore structure of spin coated MgO films. The CL spectra, which confirm that the doping creates defects energy levels in the band gap of MgO, show the $F^+$ center is the main defects in doped MgO films.
