  • In this paper, we study the influence analysis of admission variables including their characteristics on academic achievements of freshmen at K university in Busan. First, multiple regression analysis is used to examine the main effects of admission variables including students' characteristics on the academic achievements. Also, Decision tree analysis is used to examine the interaction effects for the admission variables on the academic achievements. The results of this paper may be helpful to K university in designing effective admissions strategies for recruiting students.

  • This paper presents a numerical study for unsteady flows in a high-pressure steam turbine with a partial admission stage. Compressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved by the high-order high-resolution finite-difference method based on the fourth-order compact MUSCL TVD scheme, Roe's approximate Riemann solver, and the LU-SGS scheme. The SST-model is also solved for evaluating the eddy-viscosity. The unsteady two-dimensional flows through whole nozzle-rotor cascade channels considering a partial admission are numerically investigated. 108 nozzle passages with two blockages and 60 rotor passages are simultaneously calculated. The influence of the flange in the nozzle box to the lift of rotors is predicted. Also the efficiency of the partial admission stage changing the number of blockages and the number of nozzles is parametrically predicted.

  • The future mobile communication system should be operated with hierarchical cellular system for providing high quality multimedia services within limited wireless resources. In this paper, we have studied a call admission control scheme applied in hierarchical CDMA cellular system nested with macro, macro, and pico cells. When the proposed call admission control algorithm was applied we got 20% more system capacity than no admission control was applied.

  • The admission officer system that is discussed by research topic was introduced just six years ago. So, domestic journals for research trends analysis of admission officer system are not enough. From the time of the end of 1st government financial support project (2007~2012) for admission officer system, it is important things that to summarize the results of study and to look at the implications. The contents of this study will help that other researchers search the study directions. The implication of the research are as follows. First, we can see that range of research is widening and research is advancing. Second, the journals that related to high school will be come out more frequently. Finally, after accumulation of data, in-depth study analysis will be also come out.

  • In this paper, it is examined how the amount of review time per applicant to a college admission officer system is connected with the performance of the selected students after they enter the college. About five years ago, college admission officers system has been introduced to Korea as a government policy. Thus, for most Korean college, there is not enough number of admission officers, while it takes substantial time to find out whether an applicant has potential ability or not. Thus, it is required to find out some policy alternatives to solve this discrepancy. In this paper, a simulation model is built using System Dynamics theory and simulated to understand the relation between the amount of review time and the performance of the selected students. Finally, some implications and policy suggestions are derived from the simulation results.

  • Numerical analysis of the partial admission turbine in the KARI turbopump has been performed. Flow field of the partial admission turbine is intrinsically unsteady and three dimensional. To avoid heavy computational efforts, the frozen rotor method is adopted in computation and compared with the mixing plane approach. The frozen rotor method can represent the variation of a flow field along the circumferential direction of rotor blades, which have the different relative positions to the nozzle with one another. It also illustrates the wake loss mechanism starting from the lip of a nozzle, which is not captured in the mixing plane method. The frozen rotor method has proven to be an efficient tool for the design of a partial admission turbine.

  • The architecture in a differentiated services (DiffServ) network is based on a simple model that applies a per-class service in the core node of the network. However, because the network behavior is simple, the network structure and provisioning is complicated. If a service provider wants dynamic provisioning or a better bandwidth guarantee, the differentiated services network must use a signaling protocol with QoS parameters or an admission control method. Unfortunately, these methods increase the complexity. To overcome the problems with complexity, we investigated scalable dynamic provisioning for admission control in DiffServ networks. We propose a new scalable $qDPM^2$ mechanism based on a centralized bandwidth broker and distributed measurement-based admission control and movable boundary bandwidth management to support heterogeneous QoS requirements in DiffServ networks.

  • In a COMA system, the capacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of COMA2000 system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. In this paper, we show that the forward link cell load can be represented by the total transmitted power of base station and we propose a forward link call admission control (CAC) strategy for COMA2000 system. The proposed call admission scheme adopts the rate control algorithm for data call. This call admission scheme enables the system to utilize radio resource dynamically by controlling data rate according to the cell load status, and enhance the system throughput and grade of service (GoS). quality of service(QoS) such as blocking and outage probability.

  • The "admission officer system" of the Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries does the school life records (50%), a engaging in agriculture and fishery base (33.3%) and an interview (16.7%) with typical element and selects the freshmen. The system of admission officer the instance of domestic and the foreign nation university is suitable in founding goal of the Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries which agriculture and fishery manager education. Also the selection of the well rounded student there is character and an aptitude to agriculture and fishery is possible. Also the agriculture and fishery high school curriculum and connectedness of our college between could be strengthened. Consequently the Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries was investigated with the fact that the "admission officer system" is necessary

  • Purpose: This study was performed to explore the effects of an admission-education program on knowledge, self-efficacy, self-care and glucose control in type 2 diabetes patients. Method: A single group pre-post test design was used. Twenty-one patients participated in this program during 6 days which consisted of education and practice about exercise, diet, self-care and prevention of complications. Variables at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months were measured. Results: Knowledge level, self-care level and self-efficacy were significantly increased over time after the admission-education program. The $HbA_1C$ level and glucose level in urine were significantly decreased over time after the admission-education program. Conclusion: The admission-education program can increase levels of knowledge, self-care, self-efficacy and decrease glucose levels. Therefore, this admissioneducation program was shown to have a positive effect on the management of diabetes.
