미세한 공혈을 통한 소음의 저감을 위한 접착 테이프 별 삽입손실 특성 (Characteristics of Insertion Loss of Adhesive Tapes to Reduce Noise through Small Opening Hole)

  • 접착용 테이프는 다양한 기계적 강도를 요구하는 재료와 특유의 접착 물질을 결합시켜 편리하게 다양한 용도로 사용할 수 있다. 그 중 덕트 테이프(duct tape)는 대개 쉽게 구할 수 있고, 널리 사용되는 접착 테이프로 뽑을 수 있다. 덕트 테이프는 일반 테이프와 달리 섬유 소재를 함유하고 있는 복합재료이고 기계적 강도가 우수하다. 그 외에도 전선의 절연 용도로 사용되는 전기 절연테이프도 매우 오랜 기간 동안 사용되었고 실제로는 절연용도 외에도 전선의 기계적 강도 보강 및 댐핑 역할을 한다. 최근에는 다양한 종류의 폼 테이프(foam tape) 및 양면 테이프도 여러 용도로 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 이러한 테이프의 소음 차단 효과에 대해서는 기존 자료에 명확하게 나타나 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 미세한 공혈(hole)을 이용하여 다양한 테이프의 삽입손실을 측정하여 소음 차단 효과를 나타내었고, 그 중에서도 양면 폼 테이프의 소음 차단 효과가 가장 좋게 나타났다.

  • The physicochemical characteristics, adhesion power, and conservation of imported tapes repairing documents that consisted of adhesive, carrier, and masking were investigated. Materials related to pressure sensitive adhesive produced in domestic companies were examined also. And then, the performance evaluation of prototype manufactured in our laboratory was undertaken. Both the pressure sensitive tapes were compared. The polyacrylate of adhesive agents such as polyacrylate, starch, Glue, and PVA of imported tapes was best. The adhesion strength, power, reversibility, and stability (deterioration) of imported tapes were analyzed. By comparing results of imported tapes, two adhesive agents were selected finally. The carriers of imported tapes are made of one of papers, cotton sheets, and felts. Major carrier material was a paper. The jutes, conifers, and hardwoods were main ingredient of papers. The durability of Hangi($18{\pm}2g/m^2$) was one and half times superior to imported one.

A New Fingerprinting Method Using Safranine O for Adhesive Tapes and Non-Porous Papers

  • All citizens over 17 year old living in Korea have to be fingerprinted to obtain a certificate of resident registration. For this reason, human identification through fingerprints has been used actively in crime scene investigation. The fingerprint is so unique that it is one of the most certain ways to identify oneself and it can differentiate between genetically identical twins. Fingerprints gained in crime scene indicate a direction of criminal investigation in conjecturing a suspect. Fingerprints help a reunion of family got scattered for a long time and make it possible to get a personal identification for missing person who met with natural calamity. We developed a new fingerprinting method using safranine O, so as to develop fingerprints on the adhesive tapes and non-porous papers in various physical environments. Results were compared to the preexisting fingerprinting method, the minutiae numbers of fingerprints were greatly increased in our newly developed safranine O fingerprinting method. This newly developed safranine O method showed a quantity and quality comparable to the preexisting fingerprinting method routinely used in these days. In our hands, the safranine O fingerprinting method is another easy and obvious choice when the forensic case sample is available for fingerprints on the adhesive tapes and non-porous papers.

ANALYSIS OF ADHESIVE TAPE ACTIVATION DURING REACTOR FLUX MEASUREMENTS

  • Several adhesive tapes have been studied in terms of their suitability for securing gold wires into positions for neutron flux measurements in the reactor core and irradiation facilities surrounding the core of the Open Pool Australian Light water (OPAL) reactor. Gamma ray spectrometry has been performed on each irradiated tape in order to identify and quantify activated components. Numerous metallic impurities have been identified in all tapes. Calculations relating to both the effective neutron shielding properties of the tapes and the error in measurement of the $^{198}Au$ activity caused by superfluous activity due to residual tape have been made. The most important identified effects were the prolonged cooling times required before safe enough levels of radioactivity to allow handling were reached, and extra activity caused by residual tape when measured with an ionisation chamber. Knowledge of the most suitable tape can allow a minimal contribution due to these effects, and the use of gamma spectrometry in preference to ionisation chamber measurements of the flux wires is shown to make all systematic errors due to the tape completely negligible.

열수송관에 연결된 에어벤트에 적용 가능한 부식 방지 방안 (Corrosion Protective Method Applicable to Air Vent Connected with a Heat Transport Pipe)

  • This study aimed to elucidate causes of corrosion of heat transport pipes and air vents installed under a manhole of heat transport facilities and suggest effective anticorrosive measures by applying paints or adhesive tapes. It was found that air vent corrosion was attributed to corrosion under insulation caused by the inflow of water and the enrichment of chloride ions. The infiltrated water caused a hydrolysis of polyurethane foam (PUF) insulation by concentrating chloride ions at the interface between a pipe and the PUF. As insulator deteriorated, more chloride ions were eluted as confirmed by ion chromatograph (IC) analysis. As an effective method to prevent air vent corrosion, different types of paints and adhesive tapes with higher corrosion resistance on chloride ions were applied and environmental resistance tests were performed with those samples. Based on environmental test results of samples exposed to 10% HCl solution, it was revealed that a wax tape was the most adequate from a viewpoint of stability at operating condition, environmental resistance, surface treatment, and field applicability.

종이 기록물 보수용 테이프 점착제 합성 및 열화 안전성 연구 (The Stability of Aging and Synthetic Development of Paper Mending Tape for Conservation of Archive Document)

  • Polyacrylate dispersion(emulsion) as adhesive material was superior in quality such as preservation characteristics and reversibility. The tapes for repairing archival documents manufactured with four different types of formulation resulted in pH 7~8.8, soluble solid 50~52%, and viscosity 1,300~2,500 cps. Sample 4 of those was most excellent. Probably, sample 4 included inorganic materials such as MgO, silica gel, and zeolite. For selecting carrier of tape, tracing papers, were applied for manufacturing tapes and tested for adhesive strength and peel strength. Adhesive strength of tracing papers, was 3.1~3.8(N/10mm), 2.2~2.8(N/10mm), and 1.7-2.3(N/10mm), respectively. Peel strength was similar in all samples. To determine characteristic of conservation to the selected carriers, stability of deterioration was examined at conditions of $105^{\circ}C$ and $80^{\circ}C$ 65% for 7 days.

아크릴산 함량 및 무기물 충전제가 UV 경화형 아크릴 점착테이프의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Acrylic Acid Contents and Inorganic Fillers on Physical Properties of Acrylic Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape by UV Curing)

  • 아크릴 점착테이프는 자동차, 전기전자 및 디스플레이 모듈 접합에 사용된다. 본 연구는 이러한 모듈 접합에 사용되는 고강도 준구조형 점착테이프 제조를 위해 2-ethylhexylacrylate(2-EHA)와 acrylic acid(AAC)를 사용하여 UV 조사에 의한 광중합 및 점착테이프 제조를 위해 광경화를 진행하였고, AAC의 함량 및 무기물 충전제 $SiO_2$ 함량에 따라 아크릴 점착테이프의 물성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 공단량체로 사용된 AAC의 함량이 많을수록 아크릴고분자 사슬의 강직성이 증가하여 초기 점착력이 낮았고, 시간경과에 따라 점착력이 증가하였으며 테이프의 젖음성, 접촉각 및 SEM 이미지를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 충전제를 첨가하지 않은 점착테이프의 박리강도와 전단접착강도는 반비례 관계였으나 충전제를 첨가하면 함량 증가에 따라 박리강도 증가와 함께 전단접착강도가 증가하는 비례관계를 보였다. 이러한 상관관계로부터 고강도 준구조형 접착물성을 필요로 하는 용도에 최적화된 아크릴 점착테이프를 제시할 수 있었다.

  • PVC 기재에 자외선 차단제를 첨가하는 종래의 방법 대신, 점착제에 차단제를 혼합하여, 유리창에 부착하는 창문용 점착시트를 제조 하였다. 무기계차단제와 유기계차단제를 모두 사용 하였으며, 파장 280-400 nm 구간에서 흡광도를 측정하여 자외선 차폐성능을 평가하였다. 무기계보다는 유기계차단제의 성능이 우수하였으며, 1%만 첨가하여도 투명도나 점착력에는 영향을 주지 않고 대부분의 자외선을 차단하였다.

  • PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) is used for various purposes in electronic appliances such as double-sided tape for fitting parts, product's name plate, and surface protecting film, and so forth. In several kinds of PSAs, this paper dealt with the failure analysis of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) acrylic adhesive tapes. The causes of interface failure were investigated through the test of adhesive strength, thickness, and structure. And test standard methods to prevent recurrences were established.

응집 영역 요소를 이용한 고분자 접착 테이프의 박리거동 모사 (Numerical Simulation of the Delamination Behavior of Polymeric Adhesive Tapes Using Cohesive Zone Element)

  • 금속/고분자 샌드위치 복합재는 경량성과 제진, 방음 등의 다기능성의 측면에서 기존의 스틸 강판을 대체할 후보 중 하나로서 연구되고 있다. 금속/고분자 복합재의 활용하기 위해서는 접착력을 바탕으로 한 박리 거동 예측이 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 응집요소를 사용하여 유한요소 해석을 통해 접착제를 사용한 고분자 테이프의 박리거동 해석을 수행하였다. 응집요소의 특성은 박리시험과 역학 관계로부터 도출한 파괴인성을 통해 정의하였고 이를 해석에 적용하였다. 스틸 강판에서 고분자 테이프를 박리하는 시험을 모사하였고, 해석결과와 시험결과를 비교하여 박리 거동 모사가 가능함을 확인하였다.
