원전구조물의 고강도철근 적용을 위한 구조적 목표성능분석 (Analysis of the Structural Target Performance in order to Apply High-Strength Reinforcing Bars for the Nuclear Power Plant Structures)

  • Because of the high level of the safety and durability, a lot of reinforcing bars is placed in the concrete structure of the Nuclear Power Plant. But the overcrowding re-bars cause some problems during the construction as the diseconomy, construction delay, quality deterioration, and so on. These problems can be solved by applying the high-strength reinforcing bars to NPP structure. To achieve this, after analysing the structural target performance like the control of cracks, adherence, shear, torsion, development of reinforcement and earthquake-resistance, the results of the analysis will be reflected in the structural performance evaluation test.

산화피막의 파괴거동 및 산화피막이 소지금속의 기계적 강도에 미치는 영향 (Fracture Behavior of Oxide Scales and Influence of Oxide Scales on the Strength of Materials)

  • An Fe-25Cr steel was oxidized in Ar atmosphere at 973K with and without applying external stress of 30∼35 MPa. A 0.1$\mu\textrm{m}$ thick $Cr_2O_3$ scales formed during pre-treatment in Ar atmosphere. Initiation of cracking on the oxide scales took place at grain boundaries during the end of second creep stage, in which cracks were found nearly perpendicular to the tensile directions. On the contrary, a scale developed in $N_2$-0.1%$SO_2$ displaced a poor adherence on the metal substrate. In this sample, a fast grown of scales was observed during creep deformation, and the strength of materials was much lower than in Ar. The creep strain rate of $1.5{\times}10^{-7}/s$ and $5.8{\times}10^{-7}/s$ was determined in Ar and in $N_2$-0.1%$SO_2$ under 30MPa, respectively.

운동프로그램이 퇴행셩 슬관절염 노인의 체력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Exercise Program on Physical Fitness in Elderly with the Knee Osteoarthritis)

  • Purpose: This study was to determine the effects of exercise program for knee osteoarthritis on the physical fitness in elderly. The progressive exercise program included flexibility, strength, endurance, active range of motion and function activities. Methods: Nineteen subjects with osteoarthritis of the knees randomized to exercise group(n=10) or control group(n=9), but fourteen subjects completed the trial with an adherence of 70% to the intervention and 77% to the control. The physical fitness(back muscle strength, grip strength, flexibility, muscle power, agility, equilibrium) were evaluated with Helmas(Health Management System) made by Sewoo system at pre- and post- intervention. Results: The data were analysed with the two-way repeated ANOVA and paired t-test. The physical fitness had no difference among the groups and times except muscle power. Within experimental group, muscle power and agility were significantly increased between pre and post intervention, while the control group showed no change. Conclusion: Exercise program for knee osteoarthirits appear to be effective in muscle power and agility.

선가력 후 휨 보강한 RC보의 보강 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Strengthening Effect of Reinforced Conctete BeamsFlexural Strengthening after Pre-loading)

  • 본 연구는 철근콘크리트 보에 대해 선가력 후 보강재료별로 보강 효과를 파악하기 위하여 휨 실험한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 실험결과, CB 보강 실험체가 콘크리트 내부에 매입되어 일체 거동함으로써 휨내력 향상 및 연성능력 면에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 섬유계 보강재인 CFS와 GFS 보강 실험체 또한 우수한 내력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. GSP 보강실험체의 경우 다른 보강 실험체에 비해 보강재 자체의 내력은 큰데 반해 콘크리트와 부착성이 떨어져 상대적으로 낮은 보강효과를 보였으며 실제 구조체에서는 콘크리트와 부착성이 개선 되어 보다 큰 보강효과를 발휘할 것으로 사료된다.

  • In the present study, multi-layered Si DLC (Silicon Diamond-Like Carbon) coatings with HMDSO (Hexamethyldisiloxane) buffer layers are applied on SKD 11 substrates by PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) with different HMDSO gas flow rates, while the gas flow rate of $C_2H_2$ is fixed to enhance the electric resistivity of forming dies for electrically assisted forming. The HMDSO buffer layer is introduced to increase adhesion between the base metal and Si-DLC layers. The result of evaluation of electric resistivity and adhesion strength shows that the properties are affected by the flow rate of HMDSO, while the flow rate of 80 sccm results in the coating with the highest electric resistivity and adhesion strength among the selected flow rates.

의사결정나무 분석을 이용한 이상지질혈증 유병자의 지질관리 취약군 예측: 2019-2021년도 국민건강영양조사 자료 (Identification of subgroups with poor lipid control among patients with dyslipidemia using decision tree analysis: the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2019 to 2021)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess lipid levels and to identify groups with poor lipid control group among patients with dyslipidemia. Methods: Data from 1,399 Korean patients with dyslipidemia older than 20 years were extracted from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Complex sample analysis and decision-tree analysis were conducted with using SPSS for Windows version 27.0. Results: The mean levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), and high density lipoprotein cholesterol were 211.38±1.15 mg/dL, 306.61±1.15 mg/dL, 118.48±1.08 mg/dL, and 42.39±1.15 mg/dL, respectively. About 61% of participants showed abnormal lipid control. Poor glycemic control groups (TC ≥ 200 mg/dL or TG ≥ 150 mg/dL or LDL-C ≥ 130 mg/dL) were identified through seven different pathways via decision-tree analysis. Poor lipid control groups were categorized based on patients' characteristics such as gender, age, education, dyslipidemia medication adherence, perception of dyslipidemia, diagnosis of myocardial infarction or angina, diabetes mellitus, perceived health status, relative hand grip strength, hemoglobin A1c, aerobic exercise per week, and walking days per week. Dyslipidemia medication adherence was the most significant predictor of poor lipid control. Conclusion: The findings demonstrated characteristics that are predictive of poor lipid control and can be used to detect poor lipid control in patients with dyslipidemia.

알루미나 소결체와 금속간의 접합에 관한 연구 (The Study of Alumina Ceramic to Metal Bonding)

  • The basic mechanism of adherence in sintered high purity alumina ceramic-to-metal bonding was studied. Emphasis was placed on flux composition, porosity of the fired ceramics, and metallizing mixtures. The study was conducted on 95 and 99.5% alumina, using molydbenum-manganese, molybdenum-manganese-silicon dioxide metallizing compositions. Metallizing was performed in wet hydrogen (dew point, +17$^{\circ}C$) at 145$0^{\circ}C$ for 45min. This experiment indicated that adhernece mechanism of ultra high purity alumina ceramic was attributed to formation of $MnAl_2O_$4, and in the case of 95% alumina containing glass, the migration of glass from the interface into the void of the metal coating was the main role to the adhrence. It showed also that greater the bond-strength was resulted as porosity was increased.

Finite element analysis of longitudinal reinforcement beams with UHPFC under torsion

  • The proposed techniques to strengthen concrete members such as steel plates, polymers or concrete have important deficiencies in adherence and durability. The use of UHPFC plates can overtake effectively these problems. In this paper, the possibility of using UHPFC to strengthen RC beams under torsion is investigated. Four specimens of concrete beams reinforced with longitudinal bars only were tested under pure torsion. One of the beams was considered as the baseline specimen, while the others were strengthened by ultra-high-performance fiber concrete (UHPFC) on two, three, and four sides. Finite element analysis was conducted in tandem with experimental work. Results showed that UHPFC enhances the strength, ductility, and toughness of concrete beams under torsional load, and that finite element analysis is in good agreement with the experimental data.

Preparation and Characterization of Hydrogels containing Silicone or Fluorine

  • The water-swollen hydrogels containing silicone or fluorine were prepared by copolymerization of 2-hydroxy ethyl methacylate (HEMA) with 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate(SM) or 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl acrylate(FA). When the content of SM or FA increased in copolymers, there was tendency of water absorbance to decrease, whereas contact angles to increase. The hydrogels containing FA showed 2 ~ 4% higher water content and 4 ~ 5% lower contact angles compared to that of SM. Tensile strengths decreased as the content of SM increased. However, FA exhibited strength of $2.2Mpa/cm^2$ which is similar to $2.3Mpa/cm^2$ of B. FA, which implies comparatively low adherence, hence, showed better protein resistance properties than SM-based hydrogel. The photo-polymerization was also applied instead of thermal polymerization to enhance the energy efficiency. As a result, the reaction yield reached over 95% within 1 minute.

  • Au-Cu alloyed coating layer were found by Hg-amalgam process and it seemed to be used Cu-amalgam process similar to Au-amalgam. Coated layer is dense and unique, Thickness of layer was 1.5 to $18.0\mum$ which had 95.3 to 99.8% purity of gold Matrix metal mostly cosists of forged copper alloy which had high purity and ferrite ($\alpha$) strusture. It showed excellent refining technical level at that time. Aowever, the nail, ferrous matrix used for strength needed, composed of silver foil packed and gold layer for adherence between ferrous matrix and gold layer
