  • Many users are uploading their daily life activities on SNS and use hashtags to describe their postings. Hashtag has the advantage of letting users specify categories for their postings, however until now, the users has had to manually input the hashtags which has been very inconvenient for them. Therefore, in order to address this issue, this paper proposes a hashtag recommender system which recommends proper hashtags to users based on their uploaded images on SNS. The proposed system is designed using four analytic structures, which is composed of a camera information-based analysis, an address-based analysis, a location based CF analysis, and an image-based analysis. In order to check whether the proposed system is improved compared to the existing systems in terms of the hashtag recommendation function, we conducted an evaluation with 212 SNS users from fifteen countries. As a result of the evaluation process, the proposed system shows very high accuracy recommendation results compared to the existing hashtag recommender systems.

  • In this paper, we address on the problem of automatic scheduling and motion generation of multiple mobile robots fur collecting material parts. We propose a model and so]union algorithm for the system. The formulated problem is divided into two kinds of problems; assignment problem and planning problem of robot motion. In this paper, several approaches to solution methods are presented and compared through computer simulation.

  • Limit cycle oscillations of a two-dimensional airfoil with quadratic and cubic pitching nonlinearities are investigated. The equivalent stiffness of the pitching stiffness is obtained by combining the linearization and harmonic balance method. With the equivalent stiffness, the equivalent linearization method for nonlinear flutter analysis is generalized to address aeroelastic system with quadratic nonlinearity. Numerical example shows that good approximation of the limit cycle can be obtained by the generalized method. Furthermore, the proposed method is capable of revealing the unsymmetry of the limit cycle; however the ordinary equivalent linearization method fails to do so.

  • Stress function of ball bearing is function of multiple stochastic factors and this system is so complex that analytical expression for reliability is difficult to obtain. To address this pressing problem, in this article, we have made an attempt to approximate system reliability of this important item based on reliability bounds under the stress strength setup. This article also provides level of error of this item. Numerical analysis has been adopted to show the closeness between the upper and lower bounds of this item.

  • This paper address the problem of tracking multiple objects encountered in many situation in developing condensation algorithms. The difficulty lies on the fact that the implementation of condensation algorithm is not easy for the general users. We propose an automatic code generation program for condensation algorithm using MATLAB tool. It will help for general user who is not familiar with condensation algorithm to apply easily for real system. The merit of this program is that a general industrial engineer can easily simulate the designed system and confirm the its performance on the fly.

  • We first review a real-time holographic recording technique called optical scanning holography (OSH) and discuss holographic reconstruction using spatial light modulators (SLMs). We then present how the overall system can be used for three-dimensional (3-D) holographic television (TV) system and address some of the issues encountered. Finally, we suggest some techniques to alleviate the issues encountered in such a 3-D holographic TV.

  • In this paper, we describe the system to recognize the six digit postal number of mails using neural network. Our zip-code recognition system consists of a preprocessing procedure for the original captured image, a segmentation procedure for separating an address block area with a shape, and recognition procedure for the cognition of a postal number. we extract the feature vectors that are the input of a neural network for the recognition process based on an area optimizing and an image thinning processing. The neural network classifies the zip-code in the mail and the recognized zip-code is verified through the zip-code database.

  • The basis of modem risk-based safety management is to focus on what might happen and ensure it is designed out of the system by robust hazard identification and risk analysis. However, in the real world things go wrong and it is essential to be prepared for the worst so that the response can minimise harm and loss of property and damage to the environment. Whilst some hazard mitigation measures are aimed at preventing incidents, others are venting escalation. The results of the tests concluded that the most effective means by the control room, both with and without, local station staff assistance using directive public address announcements and CCTV surveillance.
