  • In this paper, I propose an adaptive cryptographic protocol which is basic protocol for fair exchange of secrets. For this, I investigate the verifiable oblivious transfer protocol based on discrete logarithm problem proposed by Lein Harn etc. And I propose a new adaptive cryptographic protocol that has the additional funtions on the existing method. This proposed method has the additional functions that enable to authenticate sender and to protect denial of what he/she has sent message to the other. To do this, I make use of bit commitment scheme using pseudo-random sequence generator.

  • The purpose of this study is a presentation of long term strategies for hereafter hospital's remodeling and new constructions with grabbing in the characters of various spaces and ways of remodeling on wards which have been remodeled according to periods(the opening, before remodeling, after remodeling, new construction). The targets are three remodeled hospitals and four resent hospitals. And also the hospitals are divided as beds, additional hospital facilities, day room, doctor's and staff dining room, public space(corridor, core, duct) etc. The analEis of this study explains changes of wards through the characters expressed by remodeling on the specific functions (beds, additional hospital facilities, day room, doctor's and staff dining room, public space etc.) Following the research, the study has kept going to understanding of problems and limitations of improvement on remodeling wards. Finally, this researcher looked for suggestions on the planning of wards.

  • In this paper, an architecture is suggested which efficiently detects intrusions in network environments. In the architecture, the Blackboardbased agent coordinates opinions of several independent agents which are performing unique functions, by resolving conflicts and reconfirming notices of intrusion. In the simulation, it was found that conventional agents judge simple resource access activities as 'intrusion' while blakcboard-based agent reserves the judgement until additional information confirms notices of independent agents. Reconfirmation process based on additional questioning will roduce positive errors.

  • In this study, stress relaxation behaviors of nonwoven geotextile and geomembrane which have protection, filtration and drainage, water barrier functions, respectively were examined. 'Theory of transition phenomen' was applied to interpretate the stress relaxation behaviors of two geosynthetics. The initial and later relaxation times for stress relaxation behaviors of geosynthetics were derived from the constitutive equations. The initial relaxation behaviors of these geosynthetics were dependent on the additional strains and were especially faster with temperature. Finally, both relaxation times of geosynthetics were shorter with additional strain and temperature and the reduction of relaxation times of nonwoven geotextile were larger than those of geomembrane.

  • Flow characteristics of synthetic jet based flow supplying devices have been computationally investigated for different device shapes. Jet momentum was produced by the volume change of a cavity by two piezoelectric-driven diaphragms. The devices have additional flow path compared with the original synthetic jet actuator, and these flow path changes the flow characteristics of synthetic jet actuator. Four non-dimensional parameters, which were functions of the shapes of the additional flow path, were considered as the most critical parameters in jet performance. Comparative studies were conducted to compare volume flow rate and jet velocity. Computed results were solved by 2-D incompressible Navier-Stokes solver with k-w SST turbulence model. Detailed computations revealed that the additional flow path diminishes suction strength of the synthetic jet actuator. In addition, the cross section area of the flow path has more influence over the jet performances than the length of the flow path. Based on the computational results, the synthetic jet based flow supplying devices could be improved by applying suitable shape of the flow path.

  • The notion of weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space is well known and its study is well entrenched in the literature. This paper introduces the notion of (${\psi},{\alpha},{\beta}$)-weak contraction in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space. In this contrast, we prove certain coincidence point results in partially ordered intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces for functions which satisfy a certain inequality involving three control functions. In the course of investigation, we found that by imposing some additional conditions on the mappings, coincidence point turns out to be a fixed point. Moreover, we establish a theorem as an application of our results.

  • A design expert system for the ship structural design is developed to support inexperienced designers. To establish the knowledge-base, an expert system development shell, Nexpert, is used. Knowledge is extracted from the rules of a classification society of ships, and also from an existing ship structural program that is being used by ship designers. This knowledge is systematized using the objectoriented concept. The design support system is constructed by adding additional functions which are required for the conventional engineering design work. Added functions are; calculation of longitudinal strength, database of existing ship designs, graphical user interface, and visualization of design results. It is observed that visualizing the relationships among the rules, which are activated to draw a certain design decision, is helpful. The system can easily be updated according to changes of the rule books of ship classification societies.

  • Messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs) are used to transport mRNAs along neuronal dendrites to their site of translation. Staufen2 is an mRNA-binding protein expressed in the cell bodies and cellular processes of different brain cells. It is notably involved in the transport of dendritic mRNAs along microtubules. Its knockdown expression was shown to change spine morphology and impair synaptic functions. However, the identity of Staufen2-bound mRNAs in brain cells is still completely unknown. As a mean to identify these mRNAs, we immunoprecipitated Staufen2-containing mRNPs from embryonic rat brains and used a genome wide approach to identify Staufen2-associated mRNAs. The genome wide approach identified 1780 mRNAs in Staufen2-containing mRNPs that code for proteins involved in cellular processes such as post-translational protein modifications, RNA metabolism, intracellular transport and translation. These results represent an additional and important step in the characterization of Staufen2- mediated neuronal functions in rat brains.

  • [ ($1{\to}3$) ], ($1{\to}4$)-${\beta}$-D-glucans(${\beta}-glucans$) are a major component of the cell walls of grasses as a component of the cereal endosperm and aleurone cell walls. Although ${\beta}-glucans$ exist in all cereals, their concentration is highest in oats and barley. Genetic and environmental differences are found in total ${\beta}-glucan$ content. Both oats and barley ${\beta}-glucans$ have cholesterol-lowering effects. This suggests possible use as food additives. Structural characterization of ${\beta}-glucan$ is important because structure can influence physical and physiological properties. In this review, ${\beta}-glucans$ of barley and oats are discussed in details including structure, chemical and physical properties, and nutritional implications. The use of barley and oat products as well as ${\beta}-glucan$ as a food additive continues to increase. This can provide an additional market for barley and oats, thus increasing the value of the crops.
