${\mu}$-LMS 알고리즘의 적응 안테나 시스템에의 응용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Applying the ${\mu}$-LMS Algorithm to the Adaptive Antenna Systems)

  • The adaptive array antenna with the LMS algorithm has the advantage in that it can perform train't because of its slower convergencerate. In this paper, the \ulcornerLMS algorithm is applied to the adaptive array so that the convergence rate can be improved, and the performance of he adaptive array by the \ulcornerLMS algorithm is compared to, that of the LMS adaptive array. It is shown that the adaptive array by the \ulcornerLMS algorithm is superior to the LMS adaptive array in the narrow frequency band.

  • 적응신호처리 분야에서 LMS 알고리즘은 수식이 간단하고, 적은 계산량으로 인해 널리 사용되고 있지만, 시간영역의 적응 알고리즘은 입력신호의 고유치 분포폭이 넓게 분포할 때는 수렴속도가 느려지는 단점이 있다. 또한 알고리즘의 성능을 좌우하는 고정된 적응상수를 적절하게 선택해야만 알고리즘이 수렴할 수 있다. 이런 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 시간영역의 적응알고리즘을 변환영역인 웨이블렛 변환에서 적응알고리즘을 적용한다. 그리고 안정되고 빠른 수렴을 위해 고정된 적응상수를 오차신호의 순시치 절대값에 비례하여 각 반복구간마다 변화시키는 가변스텝사이즈를 갖는 웨이블렛 기반 적응알고리즘을 제안, 적응 잡음제거기에 적용하여 기존의 알고리즘과 비교하여 그 성능이 우수함을 입증하였다.

  • The performance of the adaptive noise canceller using LMS algorithm is degraded by the gradient noise due to target speech signals. An adaptive noise canceller with speech detector was proposed to reduce this performande degradation. The speech detector utilized the adaptive prediction-error filter adapted by the NLMS algorithm. This paper discusses to enhance the performance of the adaptive noise canceller forthecorlored noise. The affine projection algorithm, which is known as faster than NLMS algorithm for correlated signals, is used to adapt the adaptive filter and the adaptive prediction error filter. When the voice signals are detected by the speech detector, coefficients of adaptive filter are adapted by the sign-error afine projection algorithm which is modified to reduce the miaslignment of adaptive filter coefficients. Otherwirse, they are adapted by affine projection algorithm. To obtain better performance, the proper step size of sign-error affine projection algorithm is discussed. As resutls of computer simulation, it is shown that the performance of the proposed ANC is better than that of conventional one.

  • In this paper, we propose a wavelet based adaptive algorithm which improves the convergence speed and reduces computational complexity using the fast running FIR filtering efficiently We compared the performance of the proposed algorithm with time and frequence domain adaptive algorithm using computer simulation of adaptive noise canceler based on synthesis speech. As the result, the proposed algorithm is suitable for adaptive signal processing area using speech or acoustic field.

  • The MFC(Mass Flow Controller) is an equipment that measures and controls mass flow rates of fluid. Most of the HFC system is still using the PID algorithm. The PID algorithm shows superior performance on the MFC system. But the PID algorithm in the MFC system has a few problems as followed. The characteristic of the MFC system is changed according to the operating environment. And, when the piezo valve that uses the control valve is assembled in the MFC system, a coupling error is generated. Therefore, it is very difficult to find out the exact parameters of MFC system. In this paper, we propose adaptive PID algorithm in order to compensate these problems of a traditional PID algorithm. The adaptive PID algorithm estimates the parameters of MFC system using LMS(Least Mean Square) algorithm and calculates the coefficients of PID controller. Besides, adaptive PID algorithm shows better transient response because adaptive PID algorithm includes a feedforward. And we implement MFC system using proposed adaptive PID algorithm with self-tuning and Ziegler and Nickels's method. Finally, comparative analysis of the proposed adaptive PID and the traditional PID is shown.

적응잡음제거기의 성능향상을 위한 웨이브렛 기반 적응알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on Adaptive Algorithm Based on Wavelet Transform for Adaptive Noise Canceler Improvement)

  • 빠른 수렴속도를 얻기 위해서 LS(Least Square)에 기초한 적응 알고리즘에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수렴속도의 향상 그리고 계산량의 감소를 위하여 웨이브렛 기반 적응알고리즘을 제안하고, 음성신호의 특성에 따라서 두 가지 구조의 형태로 적응잡음 제거기에 적용시켰다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 시간영역 적응알고리즘, 주파수영역 적응알고리즘 그리고 제안한 알고리즘을 적응잡음제거기에 적용하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 제안한 알고리즘은 음성을 사용하는 적응신호처리 분야에 적합하다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a new adaptive impulse noise cancelling technique based on the adaptive nonlinear suppressing function. The proposed "adaptive threshold algorithm (ATA)" is controlled by the normalized power prior input data term, and this adaptive threshold makes the cancelling system highly robust against additive impulse noise. For the performance evaluation, we have tested the proposed algorithm with the observed signals simulated in various impulsive noise environments and real EMG signals. As a result the proposed algorithm shows superior performance of 51.7% to the available techniques in the points of SNR and MSE.

  • In this paper, results of an analysis of driving behavior characteristics and a driver-adaptive control algorithm for adaptive cruise control systems have been described. The analysis has been performed based on real-world driving data. The vehicle longitudinal control algorithm developed in our previous research has been extended based on the analysis to incorporate the driving characteristics of the human drivers into the control algorithm and to achieve natural vehicle behavior of the adaptive cruise controlled vehicle that would feel comfortable to the human driver. A driving characteristic parameters estimation algorithm has been developed. The driving characteristics parameters of a human driver have been estimated during manual driving using the recursive least-square algorithm and then the estimated ones have been used in the controller adaptation. The vehicle following characteristics of the adaptive cruise control vehicles with and without the driving behavior parameter estimation algorithm have been compared to those of the manual driving. It has been shown that the vehicle following behavior of the controlled vehicle with the adaptive control algorithm is quite close to that of the human controlled vehicles. Therefore, it can be expected that the more natural and more comfortable vehicle behavior would be achieved by the use of the driver adaptive cruise control algorithm.

  • 본 논문은 SMMA (Sliced Multi Modulus Algorithm) 등화 알고리즘에서 등화기의 출력 전력에 비례하는 adaptive modulus와 adaptive stepsize를 적용하므로서 등화 성능을 개선할 수 있는 Hybrid-SMMA 알고리즘에 관한 것이다. 기존 SMMA 알고리즘에서는 등화기의 탭 계수 갱신을 위한 오차 신호를 발생할 때 송신측 신호의 통계 특성치인 modulus를 고정적으로 사용하지만, 제안 Hybrid-SMMA에서는 등화기 출력 신호의 전력에 비례토록 modulus와 오차 신호의 비선형성을 이용하여 stepsize를 적응적으로 변화시킨다. 제안 알고리즘의 개선된 등화 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과 제안 방식이 기존 SMMA보다 모든 성능에서 우월함을 확인하였다.

  • The time domain adaptive noise canceller (time domain ANC) with the adaptive compensator and its algorithm, so called compensated least mean squares(CLMS) algorithm, had been introduced to improve the performance of ANC[1]. In this paper the time domain ANC with the adaptive compensator is transformed into the frequency domain ANC with the adaptive ocmpensator. An compensated frequency-domain least mean squares(CFLMS) algorithm that can adapt the proposed frequency domain ANC is presented.
