백색광 위상천이 간섭계를 위한 개선된 삼차원 형상 측정 방법 (Improved 3D Shape Measurement Scheme for White Light Phase Shifting Interferometry)

  • 본 논문에서는 백색광 위상천이 간섭계에서 향상된 3차원 형상 정보를 보다 빠르게 얻을 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 백색광 위상천이 간섭계는 초정밀 제품의 형상 측정에 사용되는 유용한 방법이다. 첫째, 가시도 함수를 포함하는 간섭신호로부터 3차원 높이 정보를 신속하게 계산할 수 있는 가시도 유효 검출 구간 설정 방법을 제안한다. 둘째, 기존의 백색광 위상천이 간섭계에서 발생하는 전역 기울어짐 현상을 해결하기 위하여 바닥면 데이터 자동 추출 방법과 이를 이용한 최소 제곱 근사화 기반의 바닥 평변 추정 방법을 제안한다. 셋째, 높이의 변화가 큰 경계영역에서의 형상 왜곡인 bat-wing effect를 제거하기 위한 적응 필터 방법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 방법이 기존의 백색광 위상천이 간섭법의 성능을 보다 향상시킴을 보인다.

  • 전경계선 검출은 저수준 영상 처리에서 매우 중요하다. 하지만, 대부분의 경계선 검출 방법들은 노이즈 포인트들의 영향으로 효과적이지 못하며 서로 다른 입력 영상에서도 유연하지 못하다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 먼저 외부 노이즈 제거 단계를 제시하였고, 다음으로 기울기 폭 히스토그램과 내부 클래스 최소 변이에 따른 양쪽 임계치의 자동 선택을 제시하였다. 이 알고리즘을 사용하여 민감한 노이즈 포인트들의 대부분을 줄일 수 있었고 실제 파라미터를 인위적으로 세팅하지 않고 서로 다른 영상을 위한 목적 임계치를 계산하며, 퍼지 알고리즘에 의하여 경계선 픽셀들을 선택하였다. 결론적으로 이전의 Canny 알고리즘보다 훨씬 더 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Megavoltage Cone-Beam CT 영상의 변환을 이용한 선량 계산의 정확성 향상 (Improvement of the Dose Calculation Accuracy Using MVCBCT Image Processing)

  • 적응 방사선 치료(Adaptive Radiation Therapy, ART)를 실행하기 위한 매 치료 마다 획득되는 Megavoltage cone-beam CT (MVCBCT) 영상을 이용한 재 선량 계산 과정은 필수적이다. 본 연구의 목적은 intensity 보정 방법을 적용한 MVCBCT 영상 기반의 선량 계산 결과와 kilo-voltage CT (kV CT) 영상 기반의 선량 계산 결과의 비교 및 MVCBCT 영상 기반의 선량계산 정확성의 향상이다. MVCBCT 영상의 intensity 교정을 위해 kV CT와 MVCBCT을 이용하여 12 종류의 전자밀도 바를 제공하는 Cheese 팬텀 영상을 획득하고, Cheese 팬텀 영상의 동일한 전자밀도 바에서 표현되는 kV CT 영상과 MVCBCT 영상의 intensity 관계를 도출하였다. 이후 kV CT, MVCBCT를 이용한 Rando 팬텀 영상을 획득하여 MVCBCT 영상은 3차원 강체 정합을 수행하였고 본 과정을 통해 MVCBCT 영상은 kV CT 영상과 마치 동일한 모달리티에서 획득한 영상과 같은 위치 및 intensity 분포로 변환되었고, MVCBCT 영상의 잡음을 없애기 위한 Gaussian smoothing 필터를 적용하였다. 위의 과정을 거친 MVCBCT 영상을 토대로 intensity 교정을 적용한 영상과, intensity 교정을 적용하지 않은 영상, kV CT영상을 기반으로 방사선 치료 계획 시스템을 이용한 선량 계산을 시행 하였다. 선량 계산의 결과는 선량 분포의 차이 및 Percentage difference로 평가되었다. Intensity 보정을 적용한 MVCBCT 영상의 선량 계산 결과의 경우 kV CT 영상 기반의 선량 계산 결과와의 Percentage difference가 두경부 영상의 경우 1.08%, 흉부 영상의 경우 2.44%였다. 본 연구에서 적용한 intensity 변환을 통해 MVCBCT 영상을 이용한 선량 계산의 정확성이 향상됨을 확인하였고, 본 연구 방법은 실제 선량 계산에 적용 및 사용의 편리성을 확인하였다. 차후 연구 계획도 본 연구 내용에 의해 제안되었다.

대역별 공간 부호화를 이용한 웨이블릿 기반 동영상 부호화 (Wavelet based video coding with spatial band coding)

  • DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) 기반 동영상 압축 기법은 블록화 현상과 해상도 변화 시 픽셀의 손상이 생기는 단점이 있다. DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform)을 기반한 기법은 이러한 문제점을 극복할 수 있다. Wavelet을 기반한 동영상 부호화 기법 중 하나인 SAMCoW(Scalable Adaptive Motion Compensation Wavelet)에서 화면내 부호화와 움직임 보상된 오차 영상은 EZW(Embedded Zerotree Wavelet) 부호화 방식으로 부호화한다. 그러나 움직임 보상된 오차 영상의 wavelet 변환 계수의 특성은 정지 영상의 wavelet 변환 계수의 특성과는 다르다. 신호의 에너지는 대부분의 정지 영상의 경우와는 달리 저주파 대역에 집중되지 않고 오히려 모든 주파수 대역에 고르게 분포한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 특성을 이용한 새로운 동영상 부호화 방식을 제안하였다. EZW 부호화 대신 고주파 성분이 많이 포함된 영상의 부호화에 효율적이며 계수사이의 대역별 상관관계에 의존하지 않는 공간 부호화를 화면내 부호화와 화면간 부호화에 적용하였다. 공간 부호화는 EZW와는 달리 wavelet 분해를 통해 얻어진 각 대역을 대역간의 상관 관계를 이용하지 않으면서 각 대역내의 중요 계수의 존재 여부와 위치를 점진적으로 부호화하는 기법이다. Wavelet 기반 동영상 부호화에 EZW 부호화 대신 공간 부호화를 적용하였을 때 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

컬러와 에지정보를 결합한 조명변화에 강인한 얼굴영역 검출방법 (A New Face Detection Method using Combined Features of Color and Edge under the illumination Variance)

  • 본 논문은 온라인 얼굴 인식에서 전처리에 해당하는 얼굴 검출방법을 다룬다. 기존의 얼굴 검출 방법에서 에지 정보만을 이용한 얼굴 검출 방법과 컬러 정보를 이용한 얼굴 검출 방법의 단점을 상호 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 에지 정보와 컬러 정보를 결합한 얼굴 검출 방법 및 중심 영역 컬러 샘플링을 이용한 얼굴 검출방법을 개발하였다. 즉, 사람의 얼굴 영역이 비슷한 컬러를 가진 배경 영역과 결합(Merge)되는 것을 막기 위해 먼저 적응형 에지 검출 알고리즘을 수행하여 배경과 얼굴 영역을 각각의 고립 영역으로 분할한다. 제안된 적응형 소벨(Sobel) 에지 검출기는 배경 영역과 얼굴 영역의 경계에서 항상 에지가 발생할 수 있도록 에지가 많이 검출되고 입력 영상의 밝기 변화에 강인하다. 이로 인해 얼굴 영역이 하나의 영역이 아닌 여러 영역으로 분할되어 나타날 수 있으므로, 각 영역들의 컬러 정보를 이용해 병합한 후, 최종 얼굴 영역을 MBR(minimum bounding rectangle) 형태로 검출하였다. 이때 병합된 최종 얼굴 영역 후보가 너무 크거나 혹은 너무 작으면, 중심 영역 샘플링 방법을 이용해 다시 얼굴 영역을 검출한다. 총 2100장의 얼굴 영상 데이터베이스를 통해 실험한 결과 본 연구에서 제안한 방법을 사용해 96.3%의 높은 얼굴 영역 검출 성공률을 얻을 수 있었다.

IC 패키지 마킹검사를 위한 적응적 다단계 이진화와 정합단위의 동적 선택 (An Adaptive Multi-Level Thresholding and Dynamic Matching Unit Selection for IC Package Marking Inspection)

  • 머신비전을 이용한 IC 패키지 마킹검사 시스템은 입력영상으로부터 검사할 요소들의 위치를 식별하고, 추출된 요소들을 학습된 표준 패턴과 비교하여 마킹의 불량 여부를 판단한다. 본 논문에서는 검사 대상 IC 패키지의 위치 판별, 마킹문자 추출, 핀원딤플 검출과 같은 일련의 작업들에 적합한 적응적 다단계 이진화 방법과 마킹문자의 국소적인 오류검출은 물론 잡영에 강건한 정합단위의 동적 선택 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 이진화 방법은 이진화 대상 영역과 명도 값의 범위를 제한하여 Otsu의 이진화 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 특정 응용에 적응적인 이진화가 가능하다. 정합단위의 동적 선택 방법은 문자추출 및 배치분석에 대한 결과에 따라 정합단위를 선택한다. 그러므로 문자추출 및 배치분석 과정에서 발생하는 예기치 못한 부적절한 상황에서도 가능한 범위내에서 최소의 정합단위를 선택할 수 있다. 제안된 방법을 구현하여 8종의 IC 패키지, 총 280개의 영상에 대하여 실험한 결과, IC 패키지와 핀원딤플의 검출율은 100%였으며, 마킹상태에 대한 판정은 98.8%의 정확도를 나타내어 제안된 방법이 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

웨이블릿 부대역의 에너지와 DC 값에 근거한 적응적 블록 복구 (Adaptive Block Recovery Based on Subband Energy and DC Value in Wavelet Domain)

  • 본 논문은 잡음이 존재하는 전송 선로를 통한 영상 전송 시 발생하는 손실 블록에 대한 방향성 복구 방법을 제안한다. 손실된 블록은 웨이블릿 부대역의 에너지(EWS)와 DC값의 차이(DDC)에 의해 적응적으로 선택되어진 이웃 블록들을 이용한 선형 보간법에 의해 복구된다. 고정된 4-이웃 블록을 사용하여 복구하는 방법은 강한 에지영역에서 블록화된 블러링 효과를 발생시킨다. 본 논문의 방향성 복구 방법은 에지나 영상 내의 방향성 정보에 따라 적응적으로 변하는 이웃 블록을 사용하기 때문에 강한 에지영역에서 효과적이다. EWS만 이용하여 이웃블록을 선택하는 경우는 수직, 수평 에지에서는 좋은 성능을 보이지만 대각 에지에 대해서는 약점을 가지고 있다. DDC만을 이용하여 이웃블록을 선택하는 경우는 대각 에지에서는 좋은 성능을 보이지만 에지 프로파일에 따라 약점을 보인다. 따라서 EWS와 DDC 정보를 함께 이용하여 적응적으로 손실 블록을 복구할 이웃블록을 선택함으로써 두 가지방법의 약점을 서로 보완하여 더 좋은 성능을 보일 수 있다. 모의실험 결과 본 논문의 블록 복구 방법은 객관적 평가와 주관적 평가에서 모두 좋은 성능을 보였다.

포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠의 밀도 스케일러빌리티를 지원하는 ROUTE/DASH-SRD 기반 영역 분할 전송 방법 (ROUTE/DASH-SRD based Point Cloud Content Region Division Transfer and Density Scalability Supporting Method)

  • 최근 컴퓨터 그래픽 기술과 영상 처리 기술의 발달로 현실의 공간 및 물체 정보를 3차원 데이터로 표현하는 포인트 클라우드 기술에 관한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 특히, 포인트 클라우드 기술은 공간 정보를 정밀하게 제공할 수 있어 AR (Augmented Reality)/VR (Virtual Reality), 자율 주행 자동차 분야 등 높은 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 기존의 2차원 영상보다 많은 데이터가 필요로 되는 3차원 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠를 사용자에게 서비스하기 위해서는 다양한 기술 개발이 요구된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 국제 표준화 기구인 MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group)에서는 효율적인 압축 및 전송 방안에 대해 논의를 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)-SRD (Spatial Relationship Description) 기술의 확장을 통해 3차원 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠의 영역 분할 전송 방안을 제안하고, 네트워크 상황뿐 아니라 사용자의 요구에 따라 선택적으로 품질 파라미터를 결정할 수 있도록 MPEG-DASH 표준에서 정의한 시그널링 메시지에 품질 파라미터를 추가로 정의한다. 또한, ROUTE (Real time Object delivery Over Unidirectional Transport)/DASH 기반 이종망 환경의 검증플랫폼을 설계하고, 결과를 통해 제안한 기술의 타당성을 확인한다.

원형에너지가 추가된 p-Snake를 이용한 윤곽선 추출 기법 (Contour Extraction Method using p-Snake with Prototype Energy)

  • 임의의 물체 영상에서 정확한 윤곽선을 찾아내는 것은 영상 처리 관련 시스템을 구축하는데 있어 필수적인 요소이다. 특히, 자동화된 생산 공정에서 생산품의 검사를 위한 비전시스템을 구축하다면 직선, 원 등의 정형화된 모형에 대한 윤곽선의 검출이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 원형(prototype) 에너지를 추가하여 개선된 윤곽선 추출 알고리즘으로 원형적응 동적윤곽선 모델, p-Snake를 제안한다. 제안 방법은 원형분석을 위하여 물체 영상에 소벨 연산을 수행한 후, 기존 스네이크 알고리즘을 적용하여 초기 윤곽선을 찾는다. 이후 초기 윤곽선 정보에 근거하여 직선, 원 등의 원형(prototype)을 분석하고, 원형 에너지를 정의하여 기존의 스네이크 함수에 추가적인 에너지 항목으로 사용함으로써 물체의 최종 윤곽선을 검출하였다. 산업현장의 배경을 가정한 환경에서 취득된 340장의 영상에 대하여 실험한 결과, 잡음이나 조명 등의 이유로 물체와 배경의 구분이 선명하지 않거나 영상에서 에지가 충분히 존재하지 않는 경우에도 윤곽선을 추출할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 원형(prototype)과 얼마나 일치하는 가를 나타내는 척도인 유사도의 경우, 제안한 p-ACM으로 추출한 윤곽선의 원형 유사도가 ACM의 처리 결과에 비해 9.85%가량 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The correlation between glucose concentration and parameters was the best at 610nm. 30535 T00401030535 ^x Radiation-induced fibrosarcoma tumors were grown on the flanks of C3H mice. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. On this base, we composed of the radial pulse diagnosis system in korean traditional medicine. The system composed of a radial pulse wave detection system and a radial pulse diagnosis system. Then, we have got the characteristic parameters of radial pulse wave and also quantified that according to the method of Inyoung-Cheongu Comparison Radial Pulse Diagnosis. To synthesize microspheres for biomedical application, "two stage shot growth method" was developed. The uniformity ratio of synthesized microspheres was always smaller than 1.05. And the surface charge density (or the number of ionizable functional groups) of the microspheres synthesized by "two stage shot growth method" was 6~13 times higher than that of the microspheres synthesized by conventional seeded batch copolymerization. As a previous step for biomedical application, adsorption experiments of bovine albumin on microspheres were carried out under various conditions. In this paper, a simple reflective infrared optic system with a 2-dimensional optic scanner is proposed for the realization of medical infrared thermography system.
