가변 원형 베일러의 결속 기구 제어 장치 개발 (Development of a Tying-Unit Controller for a Variable Chamber Round Baler)

  • This study was conducted to develop a control unit for a tying device of a variable chamber round baler. The work process of the tying device was thoroughly analyzed and the control sequence was established according to the work process. Based on this control sequence, a control unit using an 8 bit microprocessor AT 89C52 as a CPU was developed. The driving circuit to control the actuator motion was developed and the PWM method was used to regulate the velocity of the actuator. On the front panel of the control unit, indicators were also installed to show the operations being conducted. A prototype of the developed control unit was manufactured and tested. A total of 50 complete cycles of the control sequence was repeated and no failure was observed. It was evaluated that the developed control unit has an excellent performance and can be used practically for variable chamber round balers.

고장 특이시스템의 신뢰 $H_\infty$ 제어기 설계 알고리듬 개발 (Development of reliable $H_\infty$ controller design algorithm for singular systems with failures)

  • 본 논문에서는 구동기 고장을 가지는 시간지연 특이시스템의 신뢰 H/sub ∞/ 상태궤환 제어기 설계방법을 제안한다. 미리 설정한 영역내에서의 구동기 고장이 발생함에도 불구하고 특이시스템의 점근적 안정성(asymptotic stability)과 H/sub ∞/ 성능지수를 만족하는 신뢰 H/sub ∞/ 제어기가 존재할 조건과 제어기 설계 기법을 선형행렬부등식, 특이값 분해(singular value decomposition), 슈어 여수정리(Schur complements), 변수 치환 등에 의하여 제시한다. 제안한 충분조건은 구하려는 모든 변수의 견지에서 하나의 선형행렬부등식으로 표현되기 때문에 모든 해를 동시에 구할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, 제안한 알고리듬을 이용하면 변수불확실성과 시간지연을 가지는 특이시스템에 대한 강인 신뢰(robust reliable) H/sub ∞/ 제어기 설계문제에도 쉽게 확장됨을 보인다. 마지막으로, 제안한 알고리듬의 타당성을 수치예제를 통하여 확인한다.

  • The problem of recongurable ight control is investigated, focusing on model reference adaptive control(MRAC) through imprecise fault diagnosis. The method integrates the fault detection and isolation(FDI) scheme with the model reference adaptive control, and can be implemented on-line and in real-time. The algorithm can cope with the fast varying parameters. The Simulation results demonstrate the ability of reconguration to maintain the stability and acceptable performance after a failure.

  • One of the obstacles for a magnetic bearing to be used in the wide range of industrial applications is the failure modes associated with magnetic bearings, which we don't expect for conventional passive bearings. These failure modes include electric power outage, power amplifier faults, position sensor faults, and the malfunction of controllers. Fault-tolerant magnetic bearing systems have been proposed so that the system can operate in spite of some faults in the system. In this paper, we designed and implemented a fault-tolerant magnetic bearing system for a turbo-molecular vacuum pump. The system can cope with the actuator/amplifier faults as well as the faults in position sensors, which are the two major fault modes in a magnetic bearing system.

자기연성을 이용한 동극형 자기베어링의 고장강건 제어 (Fault Tolerant Homopolar Magnetic Bearings with Flux Coupling)

  • This paper develops the theory for a fault-tolerant, permanent magnet biased, homopolar magnetic bearing. If some of the coils or power amplifiers suddenly fail, the remaining coil currents change via a novel distribution matrix such that the same magnetic forces are maintained before and after failure. Lagrange multiplier optimization with equality constraints is utilized to calculate the optimal distribution matrix that maximizes the load capacity of the failed bearing. Some numerical examples of distribution matrices are provided to illustrate the theory. Simulations show that very much the same dynamic responses (orbits or displacements) are maintained throughout failure events (up to any combination of 3 coils failed for the 6 pole magnetic bearing) while currents and fluxes change significantly. The overall load capacity of the bearing actuator is reduced as coils fail. The same magnetic forces are then preserved up to the load capacity of the failed.

  • In this paper, we present our analysis of tribological failure examples for an anti-lock brake system(ABS) in a car. The study range of this paper is to improve the quality of ABS system by analyzing with sensor, computer, actuator and oil lines. In the first example, the brake leak from hydraulic supply line in a caliper on the rear left side of the ABS hydraulic modulator. This produces the sponge phenomenon, where the car does not brake even when the driver operates the brake pedal. The hydraulic unit operating ABS is actuator that play role regulating drive condition according with the oil pressure supplied with wheel of a car. In the second example, the service man does not completely tighten the fixed bolt after repairing the car. This causes the ABS warning lamp to light up as the ABS wheel speed sensor cannot detect whether the ABS has been activated. In the third example, the ABS electronic control unit is separated from the soldered part of the inner circuit board. Consequently, the ABS fails in control because the ABS motor pump receives no-signal for the hydraulic unit. The wheel speed sensor has to large durability because of giving signal of acting condition to computer by detected the acceleration and deceleration of wheel of a car. In the fourth example, the ABS warning lamp lights up of when cracks propagate in the circuit board soldering part. The circuit of this computer is very important part for input and output the operating signal of system. Such failures can aggravate the durability of the ABS. Thus, the ABS needs to be optimized to eliminate malfunction phenomenon.

디젤 엔진 자동차의 터보차저 시스템과 관련된 고장사례 연구 (Study of Failure Examples Involved in Turbocharger System of the Diesel Engine a Vehicle)

  • 이 논문은 디젤 자동차의 터보차저 시스템에 관련된 고장사례를 연구하기 위한 것이목적이다. 첫 번째 사례는 터보차저를 분해하여 확인한 결과 터보 휠의 파손으로 터빈이 손상되어 작동되지 않음으로 배기관 구멍이 막혀 가속이 되지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 터보차저 장착차량의 경우 높은 회전수에서는 엔진을 바로 정지시키게 되면 고온에 의한 터보의 고착현상이 발생될 수 있으므로 공회전 상태를 충분히 유지한 다음 시동을 끄도록 한다. 두 번째 사례는 터보차저를 작동시키는 VGT 액튜에이터의 로드가 고착되어 가속불량 현상이 발생된 것으로 확인되었다. 세 번째 사례는 알터네이터(Alternator) 저항과 인터쿨로 팬 릴레이 커넥터 오조립으로 인해 주행 중 출력부족 현상이 발생한 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 터보차저 시스템의 철저한 관리를 통해 고장이 발생하지 않도록 하여야 한다.

  • Dynamic Load/unload (L/UL) mechanism is an alternative to the contact start stop (CSS) technology which eliminates stiction and wear failure modes associated with CSS. Other benefits of L/UL include increased areal density due to smooth disk surfaces, thinner overcoats, and lower head flying height Improved shock resistance due to elimination of head slap, and reduced power consumption. Inertia latch mechanism becomes important for mobile disk drives because of non operating shock performance. Various types of latch designs have been introduced in hard disk drives to limit a rotary actuator from sudden uncontrolled motion. In this paper, a single spring inertia latch is introduced for a small form optical disk drive, which uses a rotary actuator for moving an optical pick-up. A new small inertia latch with single spring is designed to ensure both feasible and small size. The shock performance of the new inertia latch is experimentally verified.

  • 전기-정유압 구동기(EHA)는 독립적으로 유압 동력원을 운용할 수 있고, 효율이 높다는 장점으로 다양한 산업분야에서 사용되고 있다. 특히 항공분야에서는 고장 대비 및 장착공간의 최소화를 위해 이중화 비대칭형 직렬 구동기 형태로 설계된 EHA를 주로 사용하고 있다. 하지만 이중화 비대칭형 직렬 구동기 형태로 설계된 항공용 EHA는 포스 파이팅(force fighting)현상이 발생하여 내구성능이 감소한다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 항공용 EHA의 제어성능 향상 및 포스 파이팅 문제를 해결하기 위해 대표적인 비선형 제어 기법인 백스테핑을 기반으로 제어기를 설계하였고, 제어에 필요한 상태를 추정하기 위해 추가 상태 관측기를 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능 검증으로 제안한 제어기는 일반적인 PI제어기에 비해 제어성능이 우수하고, EHA의 포스 파이팅 현상을 현저히 감소시킨다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
