A knowledge portal is an integrated gateway for accessing relevant knowledge, collaborating and communicating with other users, and also linking internal applications which is becoming crucial in the age of information abundance. Research and development is a typical knowledge-intensive activity. However, knowledge management support in R&D has been minimal in most research organizations. In this paper, a knowledge portal is designed to support team-based researches in science and technology for searching and browsing knowledge, and also communicating with other team members, coordinating research project and collaborating with other researchers. Automating knowledge acquisition from various knowledge sources, knowledge categorization by applying text categorization method, and knowledge recommendation can help to relieve management effort and increase the efficiency of knowledge management processes. A prototype system based on the suggested model is also presented.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to investigate the actual state of activity on domestic and foreign civil anti-disaster organizations, related suggestions, and development plans. Methods: This study used the documentary survey research method and the technical approach method. Civil anti-disaster organizations' information was derived from detailed scholarly monographs, specialty publications, and previous studies of master doctorate dissertation. Results: Volunteer Fire Department and voluntary crime prevention groups show problems related to budgetary deficits and volunteer deficiency. In order to resolve these issues, laws must be enacted to guarantee interest and support. In addition, the Citizen Corps Active in Disaster (CAIND) organization requires a dedicated salary system to address the investment of its workforce and the cost of heavy equipment. Moreover, deficiencies were revealed regarding the lack of systems in support of occupational education and training. In conclusion, several weak points require close attention. Conclusion: The results of this comparative analysis study about the domestic and foreign civil anti-disaster organizations provide insight into identity materialization and concept establishment.
Purpose: To identify needs for pregnancy and postpartum adaptation of Chinese immigrant women and Vietnamese immigrant women in South Korea. Methods: A descriptive research design was employed. Data were collected from 244 Chinese immigrant women and Vietnamese immigrant women from 3 provinces, 20 health care centers, and multi-cultural family support centers. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Results: An average score for needs perceived by Chinese immigrant women was significantly higher than that perceived by Vietnamese immigrant women. There were significantly differences in physical and emotional adaptation after childbirth, nutrition during pregnancy, cross cultural understanding and personal respect, and adaptation daily activity during pregnancy between the 2 groups. The highest score of needs in Chinese immigrant women was for nutrition during pregnancy and that in Vietnamese immigrant women was for baby rearing and family support. Conclusion: Based on needs of pregnancy and postpartum adaption, nursing intervention program in consideration of cultural characteristics of Chinese immigrant women and Vietnam immigrant women need to be developed for their pregnancy and postpartum health care.
In this study, functionalized poplar powder (FPP) was used as a support material for the immobilization of enoate reductase (ER) and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (GDH) by covalent binding. Under optimal conditions, the immobilization efficiency of ER-FPP and GDH-FPP was 95.1% and 84.7%, and the activity recovery of ER and GDH was 47.5% and 37.8%, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis indicated that FPP was a suitable carrier for enzyme immobilization. ER-FPP and GDH-FPP exhibit excellent thermal stabilities and superior reusability. Especially, ER-FPP and GDH-FPP enable the continuous conversion of 4-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-3-buten-2-one with $NAD^+$ recycling. While the immobilization strategies established here were simple and inexpensive, they exploited a new method for the immobilization and application of ER and its cofactor recycling system.

Plant Configuration Management(CM) is an activity to maintain consistency of design requirements, physical configuration, facility configuration information throughout the life cycle of the plant by systematically managing changes that occur during the plant design and operation process. Conformity between information must be ensured not only in the design stage, but also in the case of design changes in the operation and maintenance stages, and thus a computer system capable of efficiently managing them is required. In particular, in consideration of an application to small and medium-sized domestic plants, a computer system that can support configuration management at a low cost is needed. Accordingly, in this study, a configuration management system has been developed to support the management of plant design information and change procedures in the operation stage of small and medium-sized plants. Here, a case for quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness of the developed system is described.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find a way to improve the quality of life of the blind by confirming the effect of the motivation of the blind to participate in golf activities and the effect of income and self-efficacy in these relationships. Research design, data, and methodology: This study conducted a survey of 30 visually impaired people, and simple regression analysis, additive multiple moderating effect analysis were conducted using SPSS and PROCESS macro. Results: First, it was confirmed that the motivation to participate in golf activities is an important factor in improving the quality of life. Second, it was confirmed that income has a positive effect on the quality of life rather than the motivation to participate in golf activities, but self-efficacy negatively affects the quality of life. Third, it was confirmed that the interaction between participation motivation and income level negatively affects the quality of life, but the interaction between participation motivation and self-efficacy improves the quality of life. Conclusions: It suggests that organizations, golf courses, local governments, and volunteers who support the blind's outdoor activities, especially golf activities, need to establish a support system and take a careful approach to overcome these factors.

Purpose: Religious facilities often intend to contribute to surrounding neighborhood and local community. While motivated by religious aims, churches can play a role in social welfare for elders in local community. It is obvious that the role will be different from official social welfare services from government and this study aims to examine the possibility of churches in the role of elderly social welfare in terms of space and program. Methods: Researchers interviewed management of four existing welfare programs by churces in order to understand operation of social welfare program for elders by churches. The second step was case study of four churches in Suwon City area. The potential for social welfare space use for elders was examined. Results: Researchers found the role of churches in providing welfare relevant programs and services but its function is not well established yet. Financial support is needed and another support is need from welfare experts. Implications: While churches has not well established the role in elderly welfare in local communities, churches can further develop welfare services utilizing space, manpower, and activity programs.
CNNs tend to take a long time to learn and consume a lot of power due to lack of system resources with many data processing units when there are repetitive handles that do not have high performance in the image field. In this paper, we propose a handling method based on a low-power bus that can increase the exchange rate of multipliers and multiplicands within the convolution mixer, which is a tendency activity that occurs when a convolution mixer has multiplication, which is the core element of combination. Convolutional neural networks have proprietary low-power shared processor support and the design was implemented on an Intel DE1-SoC FPGA board using Verilog-HDL. The experiments validated the performance by comparing it with the exchange rate of the multiplier originally proposed by Shen on MNIST's numeric image database.

According to the online learning environment, learning activities using mobile technology have emerged as a major concern. The features of mobile technology show potential supporting the emergence of learners' agencies in science education. In this study, 22 research literature on mobile activities in science teaching and learning published in Korea from 2011 to April 2020 were selected. First, the framework of Suarez et al. (2018) was revised and the types of mobile activities were categorized and investigated. Second, the emergence of agencies was examined in the context of science teaching and learning. And also, the relevance of mobile activity types ('Access to content', 'Data collection', 'Peer-to-peer communication', 'Contextual support') to support learners' agency dimension ('goals', 'content', 'action', 'strategy', 'reflection', 'monitoring') was analyzed. The first analysis show that science teaching and learning through mobile activities are changing from traditional to student-centered. Through these activities, students become more involved in learning and get the opportunity to become agents of learning. As a result of the second analysis, it has been confirmed that the emergence of learners' agencies has been supported and strengthened through mobile activities. Whereas, it needs to look upon the relationship between learners' agency and mobile activities in the overall context of science class. This consideration led to implications for the use of mobile technology in future science education and the transition to student-centered education.

When people are shopping at a large shopping mall, they usually become to go around many stores for looking for better products and comparing them. In this paper, we design and implement a purchasing activity support system based on an Ambient Service Model that provides relevant stores information on map interface hierarchically through user contexts based search, to support such user's purchasing activities with the help of relevant information. In this system, users can search for relevant stores information through the system by Ambient Query which is created by their location and stores information with a mobile device. Then, users obtain relevant stores information provided in the form of hierarchy of keywords as a highly condensed summary and easily figure out the locations of the stores on a map interface. Moreover, users search additional other kinds of relevant stores information over the hierarchy of keywords. Eventually, users can obtain relevant stores information intuitively and conveniently without complex search processes. We implemented this system by integrating the subordinate technologies such as RFID, map-based, location-based and ontology technology. We also performed experiments on a well-known shopping region (Ilsan Lapesta shopping mall, Goyang-city Gyeonggi-do, Korea). Finally, we also confirmed that users' shopping activities were significantly improved by utility the present system.
