MFC 작동기를 이용한 수중 Hull 구조물의 능동 진동 제어 (Active Vibration Control of Smart Hull Structure in Underwater Using Micro-Fiber Composite Actuators)

  • Structural vibration and noise are hot issues in underwater vehicles such as submarines for their survivability. Therefore, active vibration and noise control of submarine, which can be modeled as hull structure, have been conducted by the use of piezoelectric materials. Traditional piezoelectric materials are too brittle and not suitable to curved geometry such as hull structures. Therefore, advanced anisotropic piezoceramic actuator named as Macro-Fiber Composite (MFC), which can provide great flexibility, large induced strain and directional actuating force is adopted for this research. In this study, dynamic model of the smart hull structure is established and active vibration control performance of the smart hull structure is evaluated using optimally placed MFC. Actuating performance of MFC is evaluated by finite element analysis and dynamic modeling of the smart hull structure is derived by finite element method considering underwater condition. In order to suppress the vibration of hull structure, Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) algorithm is adopted. After then active vibration control performance of the proposed smart hull structure is evaluated with computer simulation and experimental investigation in underwater. Structural vibration of the hull structure is decreased effectively by applying proper control voltages to the MFC actuators.

  • This paper presents an inertia type of piezostack based active mount for unmanned aero vehicle (UAV) camera system. After identifying the stiffness and damping properties of the rubber element and piezostack a mechanical model of the active mount system is established. The governing equation of mount is them derived and expressed in a state space farm. Subsequently, a sliding mode controller which is robust to uncertain parameters is designed in order to reduce the vibration imposed according to the military specification associated with UAV camera mount system operation. Control performances such as acceleration and transmitted force are evaluated through both computer simulation and experimental implementation.

  • This paper describes the design and analysis of a tubular linear actuator for intelligent AAP (Active Accelerate Pedal) system. In a driving emergency, the electromagnetic actuator produces an additional pedal force such as the active pedal force and vibration force to release the driver's foot on accelerator pedal. A prior study found that the linear actuator with a ferromagnetic core had a problem in transferring the additional force naturally to a driver due to the cogging force. To reduce the cogging force and obtain higher performance of the AAP system, a coreless tubular linear actuator is suggested. Electromagnetic finite element analysis is executed to analyze and design the coreless tubular actuator, and dynamic analysis is performed to characterize the dynamic performance of the AAP system with the suggested tubular actuator for two types of thrust force.

  • The flexural vibration of aluminum beams with active and passive constrained-layer damping has been investigated experimentally to design a structure with maximum possible damping capacity. Piezoelectric film is used as a sensor and piezoceramic as an actuator for the negative velocity feedback control. The experimental results are compared with those by the finite element analysis. This paper shows the effectiveness of active constrained-layer damping treatment through experiments, and we have carried out an experiment to study the effect of beam thickness.

Simulation and experimental analysis of active vibration control of smart beams under harmonic excitation

  • In the present study, active control of a smart beam under forced vibration is analyzed. The aluminum smart beam is composed of two piezoelectric patches and strain gauge. One of the piezoelectric patches is used as controlling actuator while the other piezoelectric patch is used as vibration generating shaker. The smart beam is harmonically excited by the piezoelectric shaker at its fundamental frequency. The strain gauge is utilized to sense the vibration level. Active vibration reduction under harmonic excitation is achieved using both strain and displacement feedback control. Control actions, the finite element (FE) modeling and analyses are directly carried out by using ANSYS parametric design language (APDL). Experimental applications are performed with LabVIEW. Dynamic behavior at the tip of the beam is evaluated for the uncontrolled and controlled responses. The simulation and experimental results are compared. Good agreement is observed between simulation and experimental results under harmonic excitation.

  • 본 논문에서는 음성과 영상신호를 실시간 처리해야하는 멀티미디어 시스템에 이용 가능한 광대역 아날로그 소자를 설계하였다. 제안된 소자는 저 전압(2V) 동작이 가능하도록 완전차동 구조에 전압조절을 위한 튜닝회로를 추가한 형태로 설계되었으며, 이득특성에 영향을 주는 트랜스컨덕턴스값을 증가시키기 위해 상보형 캐스코드 방식을 이용하여 구성되었다. 0.25$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS n-well 공정 파라미터를 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 아날로그 능동소자는 비우성극점의 제거로 안정성이 향상되었으며, 2V 공급전압하에서 42dB의 이득값과 200MHz의 단위 이득주파수 특성을 나타내었다. 소비전력값은 0.32mW를 나타내었다.

After identifying stiffness and damping properties of the rubber element and piezoelectric elements, a mechanical model of the hybrid mount is established. The mount model is then incorporated with the vibration system, and the governing equation of motion is obtained in a state space. A sliding mode controller and LQG controller are designed in order to actively attenuate the vibration of the system subjected to high frequency and small magnitude excitations. Control responses such as acceleration and force transmission through the hybrid mount are evaluated by computer simulation.

  • In this paper, low noise amplifier(LNA), aperture coupled patch antenna and $4{\times}4$ array antenna are designed in the frequency range from 11.7㎓ to 12㎓. Array antennas with and without LNA at the antenna element are fabricated and the performances are measured including noise figure(NF). The noise figure calculation for overall system was conducted and compared with the measured data to verify our measurement method. The measured overall noise figure of the array antenna with LNA at the antenna element is lower than that of array without LNA as expected.
