  • This paper presents a brief overview of the concepts, achievements and challenges relating to the use of electronic and computer control for railway vehicles in the aspect of mechatronic design. It can provides the rail vehicles of tomorrow must be more cost effective, energy efficient, and dynamic performance. The main emphasis in this paper will be upon the use of active control for suspension and steering for new approaches of incorporation of sensors, controllers, and actuators. They can make vehicle designers to take advantages optimizing mechanics and electronics jointly which are not possible with a purely mechanical approach.

1/4 Car Vibration Simulation Using An Empirical MR Damper Model (실험적 MR댐퍼 모델을 사용한 1/4차량 진동 시뮬레이션)

  • This study is about a semi-active quarter car simulation method including a MR(magneto-rheological) damper. The MR damper was modeled as Spencer model that can capture nonlinear and hysteretic behavior. The parameters of the Spencer model were extracted from a random excitation test and optimum treatment of the test data. Then, a suspension control algorithm based on Sky-hook theory was applied for the quarter car simulation. Also, an experiment was dong using a quarter car simulator to confirm the simulation results with the Spencer MR damper model

Detection and Property of Leptospiral Hemolysin (렙토스피라용혈소의 검색과 성질)

  • To detect lepotospiral strains which produce hemolysin and determine the optimal condition for assaying hemolysin, we screened reference strains and observed some property of hemolysin. Hemolysin activity was assayed with cell free culture liquids and erythrocyte suspension. The production of hemolysin by local strains isolated in Korea was assayed and compared with that of reference strains. The hemolysin was produced by 18 strains among 38 reference strains and 3 local strains isolated in Korea. The production of hemolysin began with growth of Leptospira cultured in EMJH medium and reached maximum at stationary phase. The optimum temperature for hemolytic activity was $37^{\circ}C$. At lower temperature the activity of hemolysin was decreased progressively. The hemolytic activity was completely inactivated after :30 minutes' exposure at $56^{\circ}C$. Hemolysis pattern was "hot-cold type" which showed increased hemolysis after cold incubation. The hemolysin was most active on sheep erythrocyte and less active on ox, goat, human and guinea pig erythrocyte with the decreasing order.

중형승용차의 진동, 소음 및 충격 시험평가

  • 차량을 개발함에 있어 인간의 감성적인 분야에서 가장 중요한 분야의 하나가 진동 소음 및 충격 분야라 할 수 있겠다. 소비자들이 차량에 탑승하였을때 가장 민감하게 느끼기 때문이다. 이러한 소비자들의 감성지수를 만족하기 위한 노력이 각 자동차의 기술연구소, 학계및 국가연구소에서 심도있게 연구되고 있다. 최근에 많이 연구되는 active noise control 및 active suspension control등도 이 분야에 속하는 것들이다. 그러나 아직 이러한 신기술들이 실용화되기 위해서는 많은 상용화 연구가 진행되어야 하는 관계로 산업계에서는 현재의 진동소음저감기술을 좀더 단시간에 차량개발 프로그램에 적용하는데 더욱 큰 노력을 할 필요가 있을 것이다. 따라서 여기에서는 현재 자동차업체에서 수행하는 진동, 소음및 충격시험평가에 대해서만 국한하여 기술하고자한다.urce)을 찾아 직접 그 원인을 차단 및 치유하는 적극적이고 공격적인 방법을 이용하고있다. 본 글에서는 이러한 진동소음 문제를 차량의 개발 단계에서 해결하기 위한 일련의 과정 및 여러가지 개선기법에 대해서 살펴보고 그를 통한 진동소음 문제 해결방법을 제시하고자 한다.

자동차 능동형 샤시시스템 개발동향

  • 일반적으로 자동차의 샤시(chassis)라 하면 총체적인 개념에서 자동차로부터 차체(body)를 제외한 부분을 일컫는데, 구동 및 제동장치, 바퀴 현가장치, 조향장치, 타이어 및 휠 등이 이에 속한다. 1970년대 마이크로 컴퓨터의 응용기술이 도입되면서 엔진분야에서 시작한 자동차 전자화기술은 구동 및 제동분야에서의 전자제어식 제동잠김 및 구동 미끄럼방지 시스템(ABS/TCS)의 응용기 술을 거쳐 1980년 중반부터 차량의 현가 및 조향분야에서 능동형의 시스템이 개발되기 시작하 였다. 그 대표적인 예로서 자동차용 적응식 및 반 능동식 가변댐퍼(variable damper), 능동식 현가시스템(active suspension system) 그리고 4륜조향 시스템(four wheel steering system)을 들 수 있다. 1990년대에 들어서는 이러한 각종 능동형 시스템이 종합적으로 고려되어 설계되는 이 른바 자동차의 샤시 통합제어 시스템(chassis integrated control system)또는 능동형 샤시 시스템 (active chassis system)으로 발전되어 가고 있는 추세에 있다. 이 글에서는 최근에 가장 대표 적인 능동형 샤시시스템으로서 각종 능동식 현가시스템 및 4륜조향 시스템의 개발동향 및 기 술적, 경제적인 측면에서의 종합적인 검토를 하고자 한다.

  • Chemical application is one of the most important field operation in rice production. Rolling of a boom due to local unevenness and softness in fields causes a local under/over-application of spray. In this study, the vertical movement of boom tips due to unevenness of ground in paddy fields was investigated, and an active pendulum suspension control system was designed and tested for compensating the movement and balancing the boom to the ground. The results for testing the performance of the control system showed that the system could balance the boom both in flat and inclined fields. The active pendulum control system developed in this study could be properly used for improving spraying performance of a boom sprayer.

  • A mathematical model and dynamic characteristics ova continuously variable damper for semi-active suspen- sion systems are investigated. After analyzing the geometry of a typical continuously variable damper, mathematical models fur individual components including piston, orifices, spring, and valves are first derived and then the flow equations for extension and compression strokes are investigated. To verify the developed mathematical model, the dynamic response of the model are simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK and are compared with experimental results. The proposed model can be used not only for mechanical components design but also for control system design.
