  • The aim of this research is to collect and characterize fine particles (FPM:$\leq$2.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and coarse particles (CPM: 2.5~10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) using a low volume air sampler provided by the IAEA, at urban (Taejon) and rural area(Wonju) for a period of about two years(April 1996 to May 1998) and to promote a use of nuclear analytical techniques for air pollution studies. For the collection of airborne particulate matter (PM(sub)10), the Gent stacked filter unit sampler and polycarbonate membrane filters were employed. The concentration of trace elements in collected APM samples were determined byu instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis. For validation of the analytical data, internal quality control were implemented by using both the comparison of the analytical results of standard reference materials(NIST SRM 1648) and interlaboratory comparison for proficiency test (NAT-3). The standard uncertainty was less than 15% and Z-score of two samples were within $\pm$1. The monitoring of (PM(sub)10) mass concentration and elemental concentrations were carried out weekly. The average mass concentration of (PM(sub)10) in urban and rural areas were 59.2$\pm$36.5$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥ and 41.4$\pm$23.7$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥, respectively. To investigate the emission source, the enrichment factors were calculated for the fine and coarse particle fractions at two sites, respectively and these values were classified for anthropogenic and soil origin elements.

  • In this study, we typified the project for revitalizing the rural area through text analysis using news data, and analyzed the main direction and characteristics of the project. In order to examine the factors emphasized among the issues related to the revitalization of rural areas, we used news data related to 'tourism' and 'livelihood', which are the main keyword of the project to promote rural areas. In the analysis, text mining techniques were used. Topic modeling was conducted on LDA techniques for major projects in 'tourism' and 'livelihood' keyword. Based on this, this study typified the projects that are carried out for the activation of rural areas by topic. As a result of the analysis, it was fount that the topics included in the project were distributed in 11 sub-types(Tourism Promotion, Regional Specialization, Local Festival, Development of Regional Scale, Urban and Rural Exchange, Agricultural Support, Community Forest Management, Improve the Settlement Environment, General Welfare Service, Low Class Support, Others). The characteristics of the rural revitalization projects were examined, and it was confirmed that domestic projects were carried out by tourism-oriented projects. To summarize, the government is making projects to revitalize rural areas through related ministries. Within the structure where the project is spreading to the region, a lot of projects are being carried out. It is understood that the tourism and welfare oriented projects are being carried out in the revitalization project of the domestic rural area. • In recent years, the central ministries and regional self are competitively developing program for creating a trail and theme path by the increase of the number of trekkers. Even though these projects are developed in rural areas, it has been pointed out that most of projects do not directly linked to the revitalization of rural villages and improvement of non-farm income because of the main road itself as a resource in rural area. Therefore, in this study, we try to connect the citizen and the agriculture and rural area through the development of the green road which is the experience road with rural resource. To achieve this, we investigated the status and characteristics of the 36 villages where are the village was promoted various major project of first step. In second step, we considered the distinct characteristics of the area with conference of expert and site investigation for the final selection of 15 villages. Through two rounds' expert group consulting with checking, related literatures review and similar case-projects benchmarking, a riverside green road which is linked long distance trail and adjacent to the riverside was developed 15 courses by 2-development types proposed.

The comparative indicators were divided into statistical quantitative indicators such as number of tourists, sales volume, and income level, and qualitative indicators of satisfaction, return visit, and word of mouth intentions. As a result of the study, it was found that all the items of the quantitative and qualitative indicators were active in the rural tourism area where the tourism council was composed. This can be attributed to the fact that the members of the tourism council consist of administrative agencies, experts, tourism operators, experts, etc., and constantly develop strategic programs such as diverse opinions and unique constellations. Therefore, in order to revitalize rural tourism in the future, it can be said that the tourism council should be constructed, and institutional devices should be prepared so that experts and residents in each field can participate equally.
