Inhibitory Effect of Major Food Components on the Activity of Antimicrobial Active Substance from n-Hexane Fraction of Mallotus japonicus Muell on Listeria monocytogenes (식품의 주요 성분이 예덕나무 헥산추출물의 Listeria monocytogenes에 대한 항균활성에 미치는 영향)

  • Inhibitory action of major food components on antimicrobial active substance (linolenic acid) was tested against Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 19111 for 72 hr at $30^{\circ}C$. Linolenic acid (50, 1000 ppm) and n-hexane fraction of Mallotus japonicus Muell (50, 1000 ppm) were added to the broth culture medium containing casein(1%, 3%), soybean oil(1%, 3%) and soluble starch (1%, 3%), respectively. Linolenic acid 1000 ppm and n-hexane fraction 1000 ppm exhibited strongly antimicrobial actions on L. monocytogenes which were not detected viable cell after 24 hr. But casein (3%) and soybean oil (3%) strongly diminished the antimicrobial action of 1000 ppm of n-hexane fraction. Soluble starch (1%, 3%) did not affect the antimicrobial action of 1000 ppm of linolenic acid and n-hexane fraction.

Comparative Analysis on the Rail and Road Freight Transportation: Air contaminant and greenhouse gas emission (철도화물과 도로화물수송의 비교분석 연구: 대기오염물질 및 온실가스 배출)

  • With increasing global concerns for environmental impacts, efforts have been made to encourage a modal shift from road freight to an eco-friendly transport system such as rail freight. In Korea, the government has set master plans for a green transport system but has not taken any substantial action to promote rail freight transport. In developing policies and actions to promote rail freight, quantitative studies on environmental impacts among transportation means are essential. This study examined the air pollutant emissions and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per unit freight transported by road and rail, respectively. To improve the accuracy, we analyzed emission data and freight transport mileage of rail freight considering diesel locomotives and electric locomotives separately. The results show that unit air pollutant emissions (except SO2) from road freight are about 7~15 times more than those from rail freight. In addition, the GHG emission unit of road freight is about 4 times higher than that of rail freight.

Effect of Self-Leadership and Resilience on College Adjustment in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 셀프리더십과 회복탄력성이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to examine the effect of self-leadership and resilience on the college adjustment of nursing students. The data were collected from May 20 to June 10, 2016, by questionnaire from 232 nursing students. The instruments for this study were self-leadership, resilience, and college adjustment. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. According to the results, the general characteristics of the nursing students having a significant effect on their college adjustment were the school year (F=4.952, p=.002) and major satisfaction (F=13.052, p<.001). The correlations among self-leadership, resilience, and college adjustment were significant. The significant factors influencing their college adjustment were their positive tendencies (${\beta}=0.494$, p<.001) of resilience, behavior-focused strategies (${\beta}=-0.247$, p<.001) and natural reward strategies (${\beta}=0.168$, p=.015) of self-leadership. In conclusion, attention should be paid to such actions as regular consultations to improve the major satisfaction of nursing students and it is necessary to develop a program that increases their positive tendencies, behavior-focused strategies, and natural reward strategies. Thus, it is necessary to provide support so that nursing students can continue their university life and be able to grow as healthy adults.

Q-learning Using Influence Map (영향력 분포도를 이용한 Q-학습)

  • Reinforcement Learning is a computational approach to learning whereby an agent take an action which maximize the total amount of reward it receives among possible actions within current state when interacting with a uncertain environment. Q-learning, one of the most active algorithm in Reinforcement Learning, is consist of rewards which is obtained when an agent take an action. But it has the problem with mapping real world to discrete states. When state spaces are very large, Q-learning suffers from time for learning. In constant, when the state space is reduced, many state spaces map to single state space. Because an agent only learns single action within many states, an agent takes an action monotonously. In this paper, to reduce time for learning and complement simple action, we propose the Q-learning using influence map(QIM). By using influence map and adjacent state space's learning result, an agent could choose proper action within uncertain state where an agent does not learn. When this paper compares simulation results of QIM and Q-learning, we show that QIM effects as same as Q-learning even thought QIM uses 4.6% of the Q-learning's state spaces. This is because QIM learns faster than Q-learning about 2.77 times and the state spaces which is needed to learn is reduced, so the occurred problem is complemented by the influence map.

  • 본 논문은 ATM(Abstract Timed Machine)으로 명세된 실시간 시스템을 검증하기 위한 방법을 기술한다. ATM은 임무 위급 시스템인 실시간 시스템을 명세, 분석, 검증하기 위한 정형기법이다. ATM은 모드와 전이, 포트로 구성되어 있으며 모드는 머신의 압축된 상태를 표현한다. 전이는 하나의 모드에서 다른 모드로의 전환을 나타내며 조건과 이벤트로 구성되어 있다. 포트는 ATM간의 상호작용을 위한 진입을 표현한다. 다른 정형기법과 비교하여 ATM은 소프트웨어의 순환공학 과정에서 사용하기 위해 설계되었다. 역공학 측면에서 볼 때 ATM은 계산 논리뿐만 아니라 실시간 시스템의 실제 소스코드에 있는 설계나 환경정보를 표현할 수 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 ATM의 모드는 계산모드, 추상화 모드, 주제모드로 구분된다. 계산 모드는 코드 상에서의 논리와 계산을 나타내며 추상화 모드는 모드와 전이의 블록을 하나의 ATM으로써 표현한다. 대개의 경우, 이것은 코드 상에서의 블록을 ATM내 하나의 모드로 나타낼 때 사용한다. 주제 모드는 예외나 주기적 동작 등과 같은 다수의 ATM의 주제를 표현한다. 실시간 시스템을 검증하기 위해 시스템의 소스 코드는 역명세 과정을 통하여 ATM으로 표현된다. 검증은 ATM에 대한 도달성 그래프를 생성하는 것에 의해 수행된다. 도달성 그래프는 상태와 시간을 추상화되고 압축된 형태로 표현할 수 있으며 그 결과 시간 속성을 지닌 상태 공간을 감소시킬 수 있다. 또한 시스템의 교착상태를 쉽게 발견할 수 있다. 본 논문은 ATM과 실행 모델, 도달성 그래프, 검증을 위한 속성 등을 기술하며 이들을 다른 정형 방법들과 예제를 통하여 비교한다.수 있다. 모피우스는 헤더나 광고와 같은 불필요한 정보들을 제거하는 별도의 단계를 거치지 않으므로 wrapper를 빠르게 생성한다. 궁극적으로 모피우스는 새로운 웹 상점을 사용자가 자유롭게 추가, 삭제할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다.X>와 반응시킬 경우에는 반응식 c에 의거 진행됨을 예측할 수 있었다.의거 진행됨을 예측할 수 있었다.이 거의 산화되지 않았고, $700^{\circ}C$에서도 ZnS와 ZnO 상이 공존한 것으로 보아 SnO$_2$코팅이 ZnS의 산화를 억제하는 것으로 나타났다.pplied not only to the strike system in the RSC circle, but also to the logistics system in the SLC circle.   • Existing B2B, B2C computer systems and applications that executed business trans-actions were the client- server based architecture which consists of heterogeneous hardware and software including personal computers and mainframes. Due to the active boom of electronic business, integration and compatibility of exchanged data, applications and hardwares have emerged as hot issue. This paper designs and implements a message transport system and a document transformation system in order to solve the interoperability problem of integrated logistics system in e-Business when doing electronic business. Message transport system integrated ebMS 2.0 which is standard business message exchange format of ebXML, the international standard electronic commerce framework, and JMS of J2EE enable to ensure reliable messaging. The document transformation system could convert non-standard XML documents into standard XML documents and provide the web services after integrating message system. Using suggested business scenario and various test data, our message oriented system preyed to be interoperable and stable. We participated ebXML messaging interoperability test organized by ebXML Asia Committee ITG in oder to evaluate and certify the suitability for message system.

Effect of New Remedies Mainly Comprised of Hovenia dulcis Thunb on Alcohol Degradation and Liver Protection in Sprague Dawley Male Rats (헛개나무 열매를 주성분으로 제조한 새로운 처방이 알코올 분해 및 간 손상에 미치는 영향)

  • We investigated whether two-kinds of mixture (NHDT-1 and NHDT-2) mainly composed of Hovenia dulcis Thunb had beneficial actions for alcohol and acetaldehyde degradation in acute alcohol treatment and liver protection from fatty liver induced by chronic alcohol administration. In acute alcohol degradation experiment, serum alcohol and acetaldehyde concentrations exhibited lower 1, 3 and 5 hours after taking 3 g ethanol per kg body weight in NHDT-1 treated rats, but not NHDT-2 including ginseng. On the contrast to the acute effect on alcohol degradation, the long-term alcohol administration revealed that NHDT-2, not NHDT-1, protected the increase in serum concentration of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotrasferase and ${\gamma}-triglyceride$ metabolism similar to the rats not consuming alcohol, leading to decreased triglyceride accumulation in blood and liver. In liver morphological study, NHDT-1 preserved the regular hepatocyte morphology, decreased fat accumulation and reduced sinusoidal leukocyte infiltration in hepatocytes. In conclusion, NHDT-1 plays an important role in alcohol and acetaldehyde degradation without protecting liver damage while NHDT-2 works as hepatocyte protector from alcohol mediated damage.

A Study on the Control System of Maximum Demand Power Using Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic (신경망과 퍼지논리를 이용한 최대수요전력 제어시스템에 관한연구)

  • The maximum demand controller is an electrical equipment installed at the consumer side of power system for monitoring the electrical energy consumed during every integrating period and preventing the target maximum demand (MD) being exceeded by disconnecting sheddable loads. By avoiding the peak loads and spreading the energy requirement the controller contributes to maximizing the utility factor of the generator systems. It results in not only saving the energy but also reducing the budget for constructing the natural base facilities by keeping thc number of generating plants ~ninimumT. he conventional MD controllers often bring about the large number of control actions during the every inteyating period and/or undesirable loaddisconnecting operations during the beginning stage of the integrating period. These make the users aviod the MD controllers. In this paper. fuzzy control technique is used to get around the disadvantages of the conventional MD control system. The proposed MD controller consists of the predictor module and the fuzzy MD control module. The proposed forecasting method uses the SOFM neural network model, differently from time series analysis, and thus it has inherent advantages of neural network such as parallel processing, generalization and robustness. The MD fuzzy controller determines the sensitivity of control action based on the time closed to the end of the integrating period and the urgency of the load interrupting action along the predicted demand reaching the target. The experimental results show that the proposed method has more accurate forecastinglcontrol performance than the previous methods.

Antioxidative Effects of Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris L.) Extracts Diet on ICR Mouse Skin (애엽 추출물 섭취가 ICR 마우스의 피부조직에 미치는 항산화 효과)

  • The feeding effects of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris L.) extracts (ME) on the anti-oxidative actions of ICR mouse skin was investigated. To study the antioxidative effects of ME on ICR mouse skin, female ICR mice were grouped into basic diet group (control), ascorbic acid diet group (AA-2.5, AA-5.0, AA-10.0 and AA-20.0 mg/kg BW/day) as a positive control and experimental diet group (mugwort extract; ME-25, ME-50, ME-100, and ME-200 mg/kg BW/day) and fed for 10 weeks. Protein contents in ME-50, ME-100, and ME-200 feeding group were increased ($3.1%{\sim}11.1%$) and hydroxyl radical contents were significantly decreased ($10.4%{\sim}17.4%$) compared to control group. Oxidative stress signals and oxidized protein contents were significantly reduced to the range of 15.3 to 17.1% in ME-100 and ME-200 groups. Also, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was significantly increased to the range of 15.0% to 23.3% in ME-100 and ME-200 groups. Catalase activities were significantly increased ($14.0%{\sim}36.9%$) in all groups in a dose-dependent pattern. Antioxidative ability of ME showed similarity to that of ascorbic acid.

Violence and an Ethical Figure in Harold Pinter's One for the Road (해롤드 핀터의 『길 떠나기 전 한잔』에 나타난 폭력과 윤리적 주체)

  • Harold Pinter's One for the Road(1984) is a play about violence. Nicholas, who appears to be the manager of a place, interrogates Victor, Nicky, and Victor's wife Gila in a room for one day from morning to night. There is no direct physical violence in this play. But hints about the atrocities that took place outside the stage make the audience guess the violence and cruelty. Violence, which is not seen as such, is the central theme of the play. One for the road is worth reading as a resistance to breaking the mirror of global ideology, not as it deals with violent events confined to Turkey. The problem which Pinter had in mind, in particular, is that the United States plays a leading role in producing world-class ideologies, and that Britain is involved in collusion with the United States in cultivating such ideological fantasies, both abroad and at home. This thesis analyzes the contrasting reactions of each character in the play based on this social context. In particular, the conflicting reactions of the characters on the system are the most important conflict in the drama. Nicolas is a manager who moves on the system without seeing the truth. Victor and his family, on the other hand, do not move within the same ideology as Nicholas. This paper will take a look at what their strategies of resistance is and how they are revealed in the work. In fact, Nicholas appears split. Nicholas seemingly reacted decisively to the interpellation of the system. He expresses his belief and respect for the legitimacy of his actions. However, he has repeatedly sought the respect and love of Victor. Nicholas is now swaying. The theme that Nicholas presents consciously by grabbing at his own sway is 'Patriotism.' But this fantasy splits through Victor's silence and death demands. Therefore, the questions to be answered are: So why does Nicolas appear to be torn apart in a system that directs violence? But why is he forced to assimilate into the system? What other figures imply? To answer these questions, this thesis will take Slavoj Zizek's view of ideology. On the other hand, there are previous studies that read the system of violence in One for the road from the Althusser's perspective. Surely, this play explores the role of Ideological State Apparatus. However, from the point of view of Althusser, it is not possible to read Nicholas's division and the point of resistance seen by Victor's family. Pinter does not limit the scope of the ideological system as a closed one that regenerates ideologies, but secures the domain of main body resistance and struggle. On the other hand, there are already several domestic theses that read Pinter's work in Zizek's perspective. But these theses are mainly focused on analysis of Mountain Language. What this thesis would suggest is that there is a potential for an ethical figure of Zizek to be considered in One for the Road.
