Most current human action recognition methods based on deep learning methods. It is required, however, a very high computational cost. In this paper, we propose an action change detection method to reduce repetitive human action recognition tasks. In reality, simple actions are often repeated and it is time consuming process to apply high cost action recognition methods on repeated actions. The proposed method decides whether action has changed. The action recognition is executed only when it has detected action change. The action change detection process is as follows. First, extract the number of non-zero pixel from motion history image and generate one-dimensional time-series data. Second, detecting action change by comparison of difference between current time trend and local extremum of time-series data and threshold. Experiments on the proposed method achieved 89% balanced accuracy on action change data and 61% reduced action recognition repetition.

From the moment that a firing pin triggers the detonator to the moment that a grenade leaves a barrel is called Action Time. Since a loading and percussion of 40mm grenade happens simultaneously, action time should be within a certain time in order to prevent a Jamming malfunction. Previously, unreliable action time device of 40mm grenade made it difficult to improve quality assurance of K4 Grenade Machine Gun. Here, various sensors were compared and a special device was designed to seek an accurate measurement on action time. In this device, the gap between a signal from an optical sensor in Firing Pin and that from Eddy current probe in the barrel was recorded and data were sent to a computer in real time. Confirming if action time is within the criteria, it is expected that action time plays an important role in quality assurance on 40mm grenade.
Operator's action time is evaluated from MAAP4 analysis used in conventional probabilistic safety assessment(PSA) of a nuclear power plant. MAAP4 code which was developed for severe accident analysis is too conservative to perform a realistic PSA. A best-estimate code such as RELAP5/MOD3, MARS has been used to reduce the conservatism of thermal hydraulic analysis. In this study, operator's action time of core cooling recovery operation is evaluated by using the MARS code, which its Fussell-Vessely(F-V) value was evaluated as highly important in a small break loss of coolant(SBLOCA) event and loss of component cooling water(LOCCW) event in previous PSA. The main conclusions were elicited : (1) MARS analysis provides larger time window for operator's action time than MAAP4 analysis and gives the more realistic time window in PSA (2) Sufficient operator's action time can reduce human error probability and core damage frequency in PSA.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a method of rest to reduce work load of night shift workers for night shift work. The experiment was carried out 10minutes preparing time, 45minutes first work, 10minutes first rest, 45minutes second work, 10minutes second rest between 2 and 4 o'clock that the lowest physiological function of workers. The methods of rest set up as four patterns (1) non-action rest (2) non-action rest + listening music (3) action rest + non-action rest, (4) action rest + non-action rest + listening music. For the measurements of experiment, heart rates(R-R interval), critical flicker fusion frequency(CFF), blood pressure, oral temperature, reaction time and error rates were considered as criteria for work performance. As a result, action rest + non-action rest and action rest + non-action rest + listening music were more effective to reduce work load additional work than non-action rest and non-action rest + listening music.

In general, a DC solenoid valve is evaluated by the performances such as the attraction force at maximum and minimum strokes, temperature rising, power consumption and time of action. The importance of each performance may be different according to the specific application purpose. When the temperature rising and power consumption are fixed, however, the performance of DC solenoid valve is usually evaluated by the attraction force at maximum and minimum strokes and time of action. In this paper, the shape of the pole face of plunger and core is optimized to increase the attraction force at maximum stroke, and thereby to minimize the time of action. For the shape optimization, (1+1) evolution strategy is incorporated with the response surface method(RSM) and finite element method(FEM).
Purpose: To investigate the effect of action observation training on the muscle onset time and symmetrical use of rectus femoris(RF) and gastrocnemius medialis(GCM) during sit-to-stand (STS). Methods: Sixteen patients with stroke entered a single-blind trial and were randomly assigned to the experimental(Action) or control(Landscape) groups. Those in the Action observation group watched video clips showing specific movement and strategies to STS, wheas those in the control group watched video clips of static pictures showing differnet landscapes. All patients was measured the EMG data in the STS on the affected side and unaffected side. The EMG data were collected from RF and GCM while performing the STS task. The EMG onset time and onset time ratio for the RF and GCM were calculated by dividing the EMG onset time of RF and GCM action on the affected side by these on the unaffected side. Results: Onset time of affected side RF, GCM was significantly faster action observation training group than control group(p<.05). But interventions before and after the symmetry did not show a significant increase. Conclusion: There findings suggest that action observation training has a positive effect on the muscle onset time shortened during STS tasks.

The TDCSA(Time Delay Control with Switching Action) method, which consists of Time Delay Control(TDC) and a switching action of sliding mode control(SMC), has been proposed as a promising technique in the robust control area, where the plant has unknown dynamics with parameter variations and substantial disturbances are preset. When TDCSA is applied to the plant with saturation nonlinearity, however, the so-called windup phenomena are observed to arise, causing excessive overshoot and instability. The integral element of TDCSA and the saturation element of a plant cause the windup phenomena. There are two integral effects in TDCSA. One is the integral effect occurred by time delay estimation of TDC. Other is the integral term of an integral sliding surface. In order to solve this problem, we have proposed an anti-windup scheme method for TDCSA. The stability of the overall system has been proved for a class of nonlinear system. Experiment results show that the proposed method overcomes the windup problem of the TDCSA.

Aebaegeum has been widely used in the treatment of epistaxis, as based on Oriental Medical 1iteratures. In order to investigate experimentally the clinical effects of Aebaegeum, hemostatic time, plasma recalcification time and prothrombin time of hypoprothrombinemia induced by warfarin injection, action on isolated ileum, action on blood vessel, action on blood pressure and respiration and action on heart were observed. The result of the studies were obtained as follows: 1. Hemostatic time of vein ruptured mice was significantly shortened. 2. Plasma recalification time and prothrombin time of hypoprothrombinemic rats induced by warfarin injection were significantly shortened. 3. Spontaneous mobilities in the isolated ileum of mice were significantly suppressed, and contraction by acetylcholine chloride and barium chloride were inhibited. 4. Dilatation of blood vessel and downing of blood pressure of rabbit were noted. 5. Contraction of heart in the original position and isolated heart of frog were significantly shortened. According to the above result, it is expected that Aebaegeum can be widely applicable to the treatment of epistaxis.
In an attempt to investigate the effect of Beekeumsan on the hemostatic action and isolated uterine muscle, Beekeumsan was administered orally and the bleeding time in mouse tail, prothrombin time in vitro were estimated. Its activity on the isolated uterine muscle in rats were investigated. The following results were obtained; The bleeding time was not shortened, but the plasma prothrombin time in vitro was significantly shortened. The uterotonic action produced by the Beekeumsan was not inhibited by pretreatment of atropine, but was slightly inhibited by cyproheptadine and completely inhibited by pretreatment of diltiazem.
The effects of 5 different drugs (amphetamine, caffeine, serotonin, sod. salicylate and pentazocine) on the duration of action of two barbiturates (thiopental and pentobarbital) and an intravenous anesthetic (propanidid) were determined in rats. Duration of action was determined by the time elapsing between loss and return of the righting reflexes. All drugs were injected intraperitoneally except propanidid which was administered by the intravenous route. Preliminary experiments indicated that at a dose of 40 mg/kg either of the two barbiturates or propanidid produced loss of the righting reflexes without death. At this dose, however, the duration of action of propanidid was extremely short. However, this dose was selected for subsequent studies. 1. At the dose employed amphetamine shortened the sleeping time of three compounds. 2. Caffeine and theophylline shortened the sleeping time of thiopental and prolonged the duration of action of pentobarbital. 3. Serotonin had no effect on duration of action of the barbiturates but prolonged the sleeping time produced by propanidid. 4. Sod. salicylate significantly prolonged the sleeping time of the barbiturates whereas pentazocine exhibited this effect only in relation to thiopental.
