  • The purpose of this study is to explore the anti-smoking message effects and smoking status on smoking belief attributes. Based on the health behavior theories such as theory of reasoned action, health belief model, and social cognitive theory, three factors are selected to investigate the effects of anti-smoking campaign messages. The balance of benefits and barriers, self-efficacy, and social pressure are selected as independent variables. Three two-way ANOVA were conducted. Results showed that the main effect of social pressure were found with the social smoking attributes. Interaction effects were found on the nonsmoker-social pressure group and the non-smoker-two sided message group. It is found that nonsmokers accepted these two anti-smoking messages easily as compared to smoker groups. No main smoking status was found in this study; it is believed that smoking is a habitual that is not changed easily because attitude formation takes time. Results revealed that the two-sided message video releases and the social pressure video releases were favored by both smokers and nonsmokers. This study contributes the theoretical framework that can be transferred to the practices of anti-smoking campaign. Also, the researcher produced the televised stimuli which is not common in health message studies. By using the televised message material, the research tried to solve the validity problem which is common in experimental design.

As service quality and price of foods and beverages which occupy 20% of the whole sales of the theme park are related with each other, they positively affect the satisfaction of visitors of the theme park and their revisit intention. It means it is necessary to improve the service quality of foods and beverages and to set the reasonable price based on quality in order to raise the rate of the customers' revisit through increase in profits and customer satisfaction. One of the most important quality factors to improve service quality is service attitude of employees who help customers. • Primary health care(PHC) has been established since A Health Law for rural residents has been legislated in 1980 following the WHO declaration, 'Health for All 2000'. in 1978. PHC services are presently assumed to be provided by 2038 Community Health Practitioners(CHP) to about 28% out of rural population in Korea. Most CHPs have confronted the adaptation process to the community being practiced although a CHP's role is to evoke community participation for the improvement of their health by themselves. So the purpose of this study is to describe and explain of the commitment of CHPs into the community. Data were collected by direct interview and tape-recording under subjects' permission till theoretical saturation were occured from 6 CHPs. The subjects were 41 years old and have served in the community for 9 years in average. Main questions and concepts were explored from data according to the procedure of the grounded theory methodology. The results are as follows. 1) The number of the main concepts were twenty four that identified Motive, Desire, Personal characteristics, Unfamiliarity, Denial, Feeling of isolation, Self-sacrifice, Kindness, Patience, Assimilation, Respect for the residents, Support by the family, Support by the residents, Achievement, Acceptance of realities, Use of resources, Inducement of cooperation from the residents, Changes of the difference from time orientation between CHP and residents, Attitude as a official, Technical support, Cost management, Satisfaction level, Acknowledgement by the residents and discrepancy. 2) The twenty four concepts were categorized to seven groups such as Motivation, Feeling of Heterogeneity, Self-discipline, Social support, Induced changes in the attitudes of residents, Familarity and Persistent discrepancy. 3) The categorized groups were analyzed on the base of the Causal Conditions, Central Phenomena, Contexts, Intervening Conditions, Action / Interaction Strategies, and Consequences. Central phenomenon in this study was identified to be the feeling of heterogeneity. Community health practitioners experienced unfamiliarity and denial from the community and felt themselves isolated in the first. In time, they won the trust of residents by their efforts including self-sacrifice, kindness, patience, and assimilation. Afterward, practitioners got self-confidence and familiarity with lesser feeling of heterogeneity. Nevertheless, practitioners could not commit themselves completely because of the persistent discrepancy between CHP and residents. 4) On the commitment process, the CHPs' feeling of heterogeneity were decresed and social support increesed and newly evolved induced change of residents through the continuous interaction between CHP and them The contribution of this study would be concluded as follows. 1) It is expected that effective strategies for more rapid committment into the community can be developed based on this study. 2) More easy committment would be possible for the newly appointed CHP through understanding of the committment process identified on this study.

  • Visual messages are fundamental elements for performing communication and indicate the signs which are delivered from the communicator to the communicatee via channels, Generally, we can classify visual messages into two groups; linguistic factors which are rational and deliver abstract concepts and unlinguistic factors which are mental and can be expressed concretely. Especially, web site with receivers' low attention and concentration need images which can attract their attention to visual messages. That is, web site is a medium which allows us to feel visual and emotional experiences. We can call it a standard of sign systems which are consisted of various styles of digital texts. The main purpose of this study lies in that we'll analyze how homepage introductory page as one of the forms of digital text conduces a meaning action to the receivers and that we'll apprehend the structures of images and different types of signs via a semiotic approach and analyze the underlying meaning of the messages. In order to survey the structures of images we'll look into the attitude toward perceiving messages by using semantic differential method which has been developed mostly by Osgood and analyze the visual images by adopting sign types of Fuss. As the signification is created by combining signs, it is significant that we'll analyze the meaning of sings between the transmitters and receivers from the semiotic viewpoint and study the signification systems.

  • This study examines the relative usefulness of the TPB and Extended TPB with the addition of the "Battery" variable to participants in marine sports experiences. The characteristics of behavioral theories (attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and revisit intention) were compared. A total of 420 questionnaires were distributed and surveyed using the convenience sampling method to the general public who participated in the marine sports experience in S city in 2019. Finally, 385 copies of valid samples were extracted, except for the questionnaire. The following analyzes were performed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, concept reliability, AVE value, Cronbach's α correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and independent sample t-test were performed. First, in the TPB, three predictors were found to have a positive effect on revisit intention. Attitudes, subjective norms, and prior knowledge, except for behavioral control, were found to have a positive effect. Second, the explanatory power to explain the return intention was 51.8% (3.3% more than plan behavior theory, p = .000). It can be seen that when prior knowledge is added as a new variable, it is an important factor in explaining intention to return. Third, prior knowledge variables were classified into high and low groups to compare the characteristics of the extended planning behavior theory. The results of the analysis showed that the group with higher prior knowledge had a higher mean value for the constituent variables of the extended planning behavior theory.
