AZ31 마그네슘합금의 자동차 Hood Panel적용에 따른 주파수응답 및 소음 특성의 변화 (Noise Characteristics and Frequency Response Function on Implementation of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy to Automobile Hood Panel)

  • In present study, it aims to compare the noise and vibration characteristics between magnesium alloy and steel hood panel. The AZ31 magnesium hood panel was fabricated through warm forming process, and the noise and vibration characteristics between both hood panels was compared through the measurement of engine radiation noise and transmission loss, as well as FRF on modal analysis. The sound insulation performance of magnesium alloy was wholly superior to that of steel hood panel, even though the transmission loss of magnesium alloy is lower than that of steel due to mass effect primarily. The FRF characteristics on modal analysis indicates that the resonance frequency of magnesium hood panel is remarkably increased to higher value than that of steel hood panel. The radiation and interior noise of magnesium panel even without acoustic hood insulation were remarkably lower than those of steel hood panel with acoustic insulation, in particular, at a range below 4,000 rpm.

음향 탐지 성능지표 기반의 센서노드 최적 배치 연구 (Optimal Deployment of Sensor Nodes based on Performance Surface of Acoustic Detection)

  • The goal of this study is to develop an algorithm to propose optimal deployment of detection sensor nodes in the target area, based on a performance surface, which represents detection performance of active and passive acoustic sonar systems. The performance surface of the active detection system is calculated from the azimuthal average of maximum detection ranges, which is estimated with a transmission loss and a reverberation level predicted using ray-based theories. The performance surface of the passive system is calculated using the transmission loss model based on a parabolic equation. The optimization of deployment configurations is then performed by a hybrid method of a virtual force algorithm and a particle swarm optimization. Finally, the effectiveness of deployment configurations is analyzed and discussed with the simulation results obtained using the algorithm proposed in this paper.

  • The transmission loss(TL) has been widely used as the acoustic performance index of industrial mufflers. Industrial mufflers usually consist of several partitions with perforated plate. In this study, firstly, the computational model for a typical industrial muffler was performed and validated by comparing with the experimental results. Secondly, the effects of the porosity of the perforated plates on the acoustical TL were investigated and the database of the tendencies were set up. Finally, on the basis of these tendencies, the modified muffler with better TL than conventional one could be suggested.

진동 벽면을 가진 단순 확장형 소음기 모델의 투과손실 특성 해석을 위한 DIRECT BEM-FEM 연성 모델의 적용 (The Application of a Direct Coupled BEM-FEM Model to Predict the TL Characteristics of Simple Expansion Silencers with Vibratory Walls)

  • A directly coupled Boundary Element and Finite Element Model was applied to the dynamic analysis of a coupled acoustic silencer with vibratory wall. In this cupled BEM-FEM muffler model, the BEM model was used to discretize the acoustic cavity and the FEM model was used to discretize the vibratory wall structure. Then the BEM model was coupled with the FEM model. The results of the coupled BEM-FEM model for the dynamic analysis of the simple expansion type reactive muffler configurations with flexible walls were verified by comparing the predicted results to analytical solutions. In order to investigate the effects of the muffler's structural flexibility on its transmission loss(TL) characteristics, the results of the coupled BEM-FEM model in conjunction with the four-pole parameter theory were utilized. The muffler's TL characteristics using the BEM-FEM coupled model with flexible walls as compared to other muffler configurations was studied. Finally the muffler's TL values with respect to different wall's thickness are predicted and compared.

수중 환경용 음향 배플의 내구성 연구 (A Durability Study on the Acoustic Baffle for Underwater Environment)

  • Cylindrical array sensor of a surface ship to detect an enemy is normally installed in the sonar dome. Reflected signals by some structures inside the sonar dome make unwanted signals. To minimize unwanted signals, acoustic baffles are used. Acoustic baffles are hard to install and replace, so the durability of acoustic baffles is an important design parameter. To verify the durability of acoustic baffle, accelerated aging tests according to temperature and pressure were performed. Acoustic baffle specimens were made and they are tested the visual and the performance (echo reduction and transmission loss) inspection before and after aging. After the inspection, the effect of accelerated aging of the acoustic baffles were discussed.

  • Unit cabin means room, which is installed in the high value ship such as drill ship and FPSO, after pre-assembled. In order to develop the noise control design for a unit cabin, a variety of acoustic tests such as sound absorption, transmission, and radiated noise measurements were carried out by using the mock-up of living quarter. From the tests, it was found out that the combined noise level of a unit cabin could be dominated by the radiated noise from wall panel in low frequency range and the design guidelines for the noise control of unit cabin were fully established, such as the improvement of sound transmission loss between the cabin and corridor, and radiated cabin noise reduction.

엔젠 배기소음기의 음향이론에 의한 해석 (Analysis of Engine Exhaust Muffler by Acoustic Theory)

  • To analyze the characteristics of engine exhaust mufflers by the acoustic theory is necessary for understanding the action of mufflers and for designing the mufflers. In many cases, the " Transmission Loss" is used in the analysis, but TL is not suitable for above purposes. In this paper the characteristics of the mufflers is analyzed by means of the four terminal constants of whole muffler system. After some approximation, the characteristics of engine exhaust mufflers is shown by the "D" in the four terminal constants. 20log│D│ can be easily constructed with the characteristics of each element of the muffler system. The analysis is done under the conditions of no loss and no gas-flow, so the result is approximate. But it is very useful for understanding the characteristics of the muffler system or each element of the system and for designing the muffler system.

여름철 제주 남부해역에서 내부 조석에 의한 음파 전달손실의 시간적 변화 모의실험 (Simulation of Temporal Variation of Acoustic Transmission Loss by Internal Tide in the Southern Sea of Jeju Island in Summer)

  • 여름철 제주 남부해역에서 내부조석에 의한 음향특성 변화를 실측 자료와 모의실험을 통해 연구하였다. 이를위해 서귀포 인근 해역의 수심 80 m 내외인 두 정점에서 2009년 7월 27일과 28일에 걸쳐 25시간동안 한 시간 간격으로 수심별 수온을 측정하였다. 그 결과 조석에 의해 해수 상층부의 등수온선이 약 10 m이상 반일주기로 변하는 현상이 관측되었다. 이로 인한 음파전달손실의 시간적 변화를 확인하기 위해 음원을 수심 10 m에 두고 거리 3.8 km 떨어진 두 관측 정점 사이에서 음파전달을 모의하였다. 중심주파수 100 Hz인 1/3 옥타브 밴드의 경우 특정 수심 및 거리에서 반일주기가 지배적 이었으나 1 kHz의 경우는 반일주기 성분이 거의 나타나지 않고 복잡한 변화를 보였다. 음원에서 거리 2.8 km떨어진 지점에서 시간에 따른 전달손실 변화의 표준편차는 중심주파수 100 Hz의 경우 수심에 따라 최대 4.2 dB 였으며, 1 kHz의 경우 최대 3.7 dB인 것으로 나타났다. 탐지성능 60 dB를 고려한 탐지거리를 분석한 결과 두 중심주파수 경우 모두 반일주기 변화가 나타났으며 최대 1.0 km 미만의 변화를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 차후 제주 남부해역의 음향 특성 실험 및 연구 수행 시 전달손실의 시변동성에 대해 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

FEM.SEA기법을 이용한 흡.차음재의 음향 변수의 차량실내음압에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on the Estimation of Acoustic Behavior of the Automobile Interior Materials Using FEM and SEA)

  • In establishing silent environment such as automobile and industrial instrument, the roles of the insulating materials are critical. The proper and effective positioning of insulating materials is essential in the field of noise as well as in designing silent automobile. In this paper, we proposed the systematic and efficient scheme for optimizing complete automotive interiors for noise control. In order to attain this purpose, following analysis has been carried out: First, measuring the Biot parameters of insulating materials and the transmission loss with reflecting the appropriate arrangement of insulating materials has been experimented. In addition, we made comparison among transmission loss by the tools of analysis and verification, experimental value under consideration of various situations of automobile and analysis by the SEA.

해수연결 배관계 소음감소기의 투과손실 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Determining the Transmission Loss of Water-Borne Noise Silencer in a Sea-Connected Piping System)

  • 해수연결 배관계에서 발생되는 주요한 소음원은 함 내부 탑재장비의 원활한 작동을 위해 해수를 순환시키는 해수순환 펌프이다. 이러한 펌프에서 발생되는 토널 성분을 가지는 유체전달 소음은 적절한 소음감소기를 통해서 감소되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실험적으로 유체전달 소음감소기의 음향 투과손실을 측정하기 위해서 해수연결 배관계의 끝단 반사가 존재하는 경우 배관 내의 음파를 입사파와 투과파로 분리하는 전달함수 기법을 제안하였다. 제작된 소음감소기 시험시편에 대한 이론적 투과손실과 제안된 기법을 통해 측정된 투과손실이 관심 주파수 영역에서 잘 일치함을 확인함으로써 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.
