"Dice와 fill" 방식을 이용한 1-3 압전복합재의 제조와 횡방향 단위 크기에 따른 압전특성 평가 (Fabrication of 1-3 Piezo-composites with a "Dice & Fill" Method and Characterization of Their Piezoelectric Properties as a Function of Lateral Spatial Scale)

  • NDT나 의료용 영장장치에 응용되는 압전복합재는 일반적인 세라믹이나 고분자 압전재료에 비하여 많은 장점을 가진다. 이들 응용분야에서는 전기기계결합계수가 높아야 하고 음향임피던스가 낮아야 한다. 그러나, 압전복합재의 횡방향 단위 크기가 조밀하지 못할 경우 횡방향으로 진행하는 판파에 의한 불필요한 진통이 표면에 발생하게 된다. 횡방향 단위 크기와 세라믹 체적비에 따른 압전 특성을 조사하기 위하여 PMN-PZT 세라믹과 Epofix 에폭시로 에폭시의 폭의 달리하면서 1-3형 압전복합채를 제작하였다. 제작된 1-3형 압전복합재의 두께방향 진동모드의 전기기계결합계 수, 음향임피던스는 각각 $0.36{\sim}0.64,\;9.8{\sim}22.7MRayl$ MRayl로 나타났으며, 횡방향 단위크기가 줄어들수록 횡방향 모드 공진 주파수가 증가하였다.

  • In vibro-acoustic analysis, the commercial CAE tools, such as SYSNOISE, is usually used to take into account of the coupled effects of fluid acoustics and structural vibration. The acoustic field can be solved by either FEM or BEM, while the vibration field is usually solved by FEM. The interior or exterior acoustic problems with the coupled effects of the structural boundary could be solved by the commercial tools. The commercial tools, however, could not solve the problems in case that both the interior and exterior acoustic field is coupled with the structural boundary. In this paper, a realistic method based on FEM/BEM coupling scheme is presented to analyze the acoustic radiation from the internal source in a chamber to external acoustic field through elastic structural boundary. Several numerical examples are implemented to validate the developed program.

유중 부분방전 음향신호의 전달특성 (Propagation Characteristics of Acoustic Signals Produced by Partial Discharges in an Insulation Oil)

  • This paper describes the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals as a function of distance from the location of partial discharge(PD) occurrence to analyze correlation between discharge magnitude and acoustic signal in insulation oil. We fabricated a decoupler and an amplifier to measure acoustic signals produced by PD. The amplifier has the gain of 40 dB and the frequency bandwidth of 1.6 kHz~1.6 MHz. After a comparative calibration by a standard pulse generator and a coupling capacitor, we analyzed the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals in insulation oil as a function of distance.

Acoustic Power Control of a Lightly-Damped Enclosed Sound Field

  • This research attempts to find an active control strategy which reduces acoustic power and acoustic energy in lightly-damped enclosed sound field such as a vehicle compartment or an operating room of heavy industrial machinery. An active control strategy, which takes into consideration of the acoustic radiation power of the source as a cost function, is formulated and examined to find capability of reducing noise. An adaptive filtering algorithm for sound power control is suggested and implemented to control lightly-damped sound field. To verify the method, sound power based active noise control algorithm was implemented on a rectangular box with lightly-damped wall, and popular acoustic energy based control with modal coupling reduction was performed to compare the noise reduction performance. It was shown that a total sound power based strategy provides a practical mean for global noise reduction for lightly damped sound field.

To measure small acoustic signals produced by PD, we fabricated an amplifier and simulated PD at a needle-plane electrode system set in insulation oil. The amplifier has the gain of 40 dB and the frequency bandwidth of 1.6 kHz$\sim$1.6 MHz. These are enough characteristics for the measurement of acoustic signals. After a comparative calibration experiment by a standard pulse generator and a coupling capacitor, we analyzed the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals in insulation oil.

탄환 충격파 측정용 방수 음향센서 개발 (Development of Waterproof Acoustic Sensor for Shockwave Measurement)

  • In shooting training, an impact point identification system that uses the impact wave of the bullet to check the impact point in the target plate has been recently used. Acoustic sensors used in these systems must be able to detect shock waves of high sound pressure levels and be both waterproof and dustproof for rainy weather and dusty environments, respectively. In this study, membranes with excellent waterproof, dustproof, and sound transmitting characteristics were selected through a characteristics test; a protection cap was installed to install the selected materials. After coupling the produced protection cap to the acoustic sensor housing, the sensitivity and phase characteristics of the acoustic sensor were checked. Through the waterproof and dustproof test, the performances of its sensitivity and phase characteristics were confirmed. Finally, the normal shockwave of a 5.56 mm diameter bullet was measured using a shockwave detection signal collecting plate equipped with a prototype of the acoustic sensor at a 100 m firing range.

  • 의료 진단용으로 널리 사용되는 1차원 배열형 압전 초음파 변환기는 소자들간의 음향 간섭에 의해 성능이 저하된다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 커프로 효과를 볼 수 없는 변환기 표면을 따라 전파하는 음파로 인한 간섭을 감소하기 위해 음향 벽 설치를 제안하고, 유한 요소 해석법을 이용하여 convex 1차원 배열형 압전 초음파 변환기에 설치한 음향 벽의 형상. 크기 및 재질에 따른 음향 간섭 수준을 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 소자들간의 음향 간섭을 최소화하는 초음파 변환기의 최적화 설계를 위해 매우 유용한 정보로 사용될 것으로 기대된다.

구조-음향계의 정상상태 응답예측을 위한 유한요소법과 경계요소법의 응용 (Applicatio of Finite Element and Boundary Element Methods to Predict Steady-State Response of a Structure-Acoustic-Cavity System)

  • The steady-state response for a coupled structure-acoustic-cavity systme has been investigated by numerical technique using a directly coupled finite element method(FEM) and Boundary Element Method(BEM) model. The Laplace tranformed matrix equations for the structure and the acoustic cavity are coupled directly satisfying the necessary equilibrium and compatibility conditions. The coupled FEM-BEM code is verified by comparing its prediction for an example with known analytical, numerical and experimental results. The example involves a coupled structure-acoustic-cavity system which is a box-type cavity with one end as experimentally excited pinned-pinned plate.

  • One of the important parts on multimedia era is acoustic ones. With increased demand of smallest multimedia products such as personal digital assistant (PDA) and mobile phones, it is necessary to develop acoustic devices which have higher performance and smaller size. Acoustic parts with various function for hearing impaired persons. This paper introduces a bone conduction vibrator (BCV) for hearing impaired persons to use portable acoustic device without additional devices. For vibration analysis of the BCV, electromagnetic, mechanical and their coupling effects are considered for the analysis. This paper shows that the development of design and analysis technique by finite element method (FEM) of BCV.

중량충격원 충격에 따른 공동주택 실내공간의 구조음장 해석 모델링방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural-acoustic Analysis Modeling Methods of the Room with Heavy Impact Noise Source)

  • The purpose of the present study is to establish structural noise analyzing method for apartments building floor with structural-acoustic coupling analysis modeling. Noise through floor in the room is recognized as a significant problem with the consequence that noise isolation technique has been studied in the various fields of industry. From among noise factors, resonance sound is the main reason for solid noise of the floor, which is occurred by mechanical vibrations of the acoustic boundary line and the change of velocity. To analyse this phenomenon, numerical computation methods are provided in many fields, In this study, evaluation method for slab is established using finite element method, and a case study for analyzing acoustic phenomenon was suggested. The results show that numerical method, especially F.E.M, has a good approximation to predict noise at floors.
