NC 공작기계의 운동정도 측정에 관한 연구(제1보) - NC 선반의 직선 사이클 위치결정정도 측정에 관하여 - (A Study on Measuring of Motion Accuracy of NC Machine Tools(No.1) -about Measuring of Linear Cycle Positioning Accuracy of NC Lathe)

  • It is very important to test linear cycle positioning accuracy of NC lathes as it affect all other machines machined by them in industries. For example, if the linear positioning accuracy of x or z-axis directions is bad, the size of works will be wrong and the change-ability will be bad in the assembly of machine parts. In this paper , measuring systems are organized to measure linear displacement of ATC(Automatic tool changer) of NC lathe using laser interferometer, magnescale and tick pulses coming out from computer in order to get data at constant time intervals from the sensors, And each set of data gotten from test is expressed to a plots by computer treatment and the results of linear positioning error motion is estimated to numerics by statistical treatments.

  • Grinding technology in morden industry society is focusing on research and development for grinding stone and machin-ing parts for the purpose of high accuracy and high efficiency of products. But in order to equip the high technology and high accuracy of micro stone which is one of grinding stone a continuous effort on R& D is require. In this study the honing processing work of 2 cycle engine cylinder for motorcycle which has an open hole is carried out so as to investigate the boring and hone stone effects on accuracy of honing. As the experimental result of this study we could conclude that it is possible to secure good conditions of honing by controlling and keeping appropriate cycle-time in the stage of boring for the prior step of honing.

  • The rotation of a spindle unit must be accurate for high-quality machining and to improve the quality of the machine tools.Therefore, the proper measurement of the rotation accuracy and ensuring a proper analysis are very important. Separate processes are necessary because spindle errors and roundness errors associated with the test balls can both factor into the measured rotation error values. We used three methods to discern test ball errors and analyzed which could be deemed as the most proper technique in a test of the rotation accuracy of the main spindle of a machine tool.

The conceptual design of the x y $\theta$ fine stage and its optimal design to obtain fast response in lithography system.

  • The quality of a precision product, in genera, relies on the accuracy and precision of its manufacturing and inspection process. In many cases, the level of precision in the manufacturing and inspection system is also dependent on the positioning capability of tool with respect to the workpiece in the process. Recently the positioning accuracy level employed for some of precision product has reached the level of submicron and long range of motion is required. For example, for 1GDRM lithography, 20nm accuracy and 300nm stroke needs. This paper refers to the lithography stage especially fine stage.   • In this research, we examine the change of dimensional accuracy in the cutting process while changing cutting conditions such as feed rate and spindle rotational speed with chromium molybdenum steel (SCM415) material and TiCN- and TiAlN-coated end mill tools. According to dimensional accuracy measurement, TiCN-coated tool displays the most accurate dimensional tolerance at ${\varnothing}20mm$ at feed rates of 200 mm/min and 250 mm/min at a spindle rotation speed of 4,000 rpm. The largest dimension of the coating tool was able to make the TiAlN-coated tool suitable when comparing the smallest dimension.

  • The aim of this research is to evaluate movement and path characteristics of developed heavy duty handling robot using laser tracker(API T3) according to the ISO 9283 robot performance evaluation criteria. As carry out 3D modeling and simulation using CATIA, a test cube was set up to select moving and measuring range of robot. Performance test for pose and distance accuracy, path and path velocity accuracy under payload zero and 440kgf was accomplished. The resulted output data show the reliability of the developed robot.

  • This research deals with evaluation of machining accuracy for Parallel Kinematic Machine Tool(PKMT) applied parallel type robot system with high precision and stiffness. For this purpose, machine simulation is carried out to foreknow collision and interference between workpiece and tool. Furthermore, on the basis of machine simulation data, PKMT is manufactured. Machining accuracy such as cylindricity straightness, squareness, parallelism circularity, concentricity pitch error and yaw error, is measured by using coordinate measuring machine. Test piece for evaluation of machining accuracy is designed and manufactured under the standard of ISO 10791-7.

  • Among various rapid prototyping processes, stereo-lithography process which can manufacture transparent prototype is known to be the greatest in the form & dimensional accuracy and surface roughness. In this paper, bench mark tests of 4 stereo-lithography-type rapid prototyping apparatus were carried out using transparent materials. The test includes measurement of mechanical properties, form accuracy, building speed and manufacturing cost. It was observed that ViperPRO of 3D systems is advantageous in the mechanical properties and building speed, RM600011 of CMET in sub-milli scale form accuracy and manufacturing cost, and relatively economical Eden500V of Objet is great in tensile strength at room temperature.

  • The STL file format is an approximation of 3-D model with triangular facets. STL is a standard input file format of Rapid Prototyping(RP) equipment In computer graphics a circle has been approximated with an inscribed polygon which causes an error between the real and approximated circles. In this study an intersecting polygon has been used to approximate the circle and applied to produce more accurate RP part. The newly proposed method shows it's excellence in part accuracy.
