LightGBM 알고리즘을 활용한 고속도로 교통사고심각도 예측모델 구축 (Predicting of the Severity of Car Traffic Accidents on a Highway Using Light Gradient Boosting Model)

  • 본 연구는 고속도로 교통사고 심각도 예측모델을 구축하기 위해 다섯가지 머신러닝 기반의 분류모형 적용하였다. 2015년~2017년 동안 전국 고속도로에서 발생한 사고 데이터 21,013건을 5가지의 분류 모형을 적용한 결과 LightGBM(Light Gradient Boosting Model)이 가장 좋은 성능을 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. LightGBM에서는 교통사고심각도 추정에 있어 우선순위 요인으로 사고차량 수, 사고유형, 사고지점, 사고차로유형, 사고차량 유형 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 모형의 결과를 기반으로 일관적인 사고심각도 예측 과정을 통하여 교통사고대응관리 전략 수립에 활용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국내 기계학습을 활용한 사례가 적은 여건에서 향후 빅데이터 기반의 다양한 기계학습 기법을 활용이 가능함을 제시하고 있다.

A Source-Related Approach for Discussion on Using Radionuclide-Contaminated Materials in Post-accident Rehabilitation

  • Background: In the process of discussion on the possibility of using radionuclide-contaminated soil and debris generated by radiation disasters, a strategy for the proper management of radiation exposure protection while considering the source of the contaminated materials is necessary. Materials and Methods: The radiological protection criteria that are likely to be applied to the source-related approach based on the International Commission on Radiological Protection recommendations and the International Atomic Energy Agency safety standards are summarized. We proposed five interpretations of radiation protection to contribute to the promotion of discussion on the possibility of using a part of low-level-radionuclide-contaminated soil and debris in the post-accident rehabilitation. Interpretations I to III are based on the idea of "using a reference level to protect the public in post-accident rehabilitation," whereas IV and V are based on the idea of "using the dose constraint to protect the public in the post-accident rehabilitation when the sources are handled in a planned activity." The former idea is subdivided into three based on the definition of the source, which is managed by the reference level, and the latter idea is divided into two depending on whether or not additional dose from using contaminated materials is deemed acceptable. Results and Discussion: To confirm the applicability of the five interpretations presented, we suggested the concrete values of protection criteria via two feasible cases. In this case study, we proposed radiation protection by the dose constraint based on the Interpretation IV and chose 1 mSv/yr for the public and 20 mSv/yr for workers dealing with radionuclide-contaminated materials. Conclusion: We concretely and systematically demonstrated how the concept of radiation protection can be applied to the process of discussion on the possibility of using radionuclide-contaminated materials within the framework of an international system of protection. This study's findings can provide necessary information to discuss the possibility of using radionuclide-contaminated materials as an alternative option for recovery and reconstruction after a radiation disaster from the viewpoint of radiation protection.

  • Risk management of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station decommissioning is a great challenge. In the present study, a risk management framework has been developed for the decommissioning work. It is applied to fuel assembly retrieval from Unit 3 spent fuel pool. Whole retrieval work is divided into three phases: preparation, retrieval, and transportation and storage. First of all, the end point has been established and the success path has been developed. Then, possible threats, which are internal/external and technical/societal/management, are identified and selected. "What can go wrong?" is a question about the failure scenario. The likelihoods and consequences for each scenario are roughly estimated. The whole decommissioning project will continue for several decades, i.e., long-term perspective is important. What should be emphasized is that we do not always have enough knowledge and experience of this kind. It is expected that the decommissioning can make steady and good progress in support of the proposed risk management framework. Thus, risk assessment and management are required, and the process needs to be updated in accordance with the most recent information and knowledge on the decommissioning works.

모방전략을 이용한 해운선사 안전관리 수준 평가제도 도입방안 연구 (Study on the Introduction of Safety Management Level Evaluation System for Shipping Company by Imitation Strategy)

  • 국가 간 국제무역 확대로 인한 물동량 증가, 국민의 삶의 질 향상에 따른 해양레저 활동의 증가 등 해상교통 환경은 빠르게 변하고 있다. 또한 선원의 고령화, 외국인 선원 증가 등 선박운항 환경도 변화하고 있다. 이러한 해상교통 및 선박운항 환경변화에 따라 시장에서는 해운선사의 수준 높은 안전관리 능력을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 해운선사의 해양사고, 항만국통제, 안전관리체제 등 개별 제도에 따른 안전관리 결과를 종합적으로 평가 및 관리할 수 있는 제도 도입을 위하여 국내외 유사사례를 조사 분석하고 모방전략을 적용했다. 모방전략을 이용한 연구결과에 있어서 모방산업과 제도는 건설업체 환산재해율 산정제도, 교통안전 우수사업자 지정제도를 선정했다. 두 제도를 분석하여 모방대상으로 근거법률, 평가지표, 인센티브를 추출하고 해운선사 안전관리 수준 평가제도를 위한 근거법 도입, 해양사고율, 항만국통제 점검률, 안전관리체제 심사율로 구성된 평가지표와 안전점검의 면제, 수수료 감면 및 심사시간 단축 등의 인센티브 방안을 제안하였다. 또한 제도의 신속한 도입과 지속적인 시행을 위한 모방시점과 방법을 단계별로 제시하여 제도의 지속발전이 가능하도록 하였다.

업무상 정신질환과 자살 산업재해 신청자 추이 및 특성 분석 (An Analysis of Trends and Characteristics of Work-Related Mental Disorders in Korean Workers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to analyze the annual trends and characteristics of work-related mental disorders including suicide among Korean workers. Methods: Employing the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance (IACI) data collected by the Korea Worker's Compensation & Welfare Service, we analyzed total work-related mental disorders and suicide cases (n=455) claimed to IACI from 2008 to 2012. We paid a special attention to workers' socioeconomic status and occupational characteristics. Results: The number of injured workers and industrial accident rate decreased during the study period, whereas the case of work-related mental disorders showed significant increase. Mental disorders cases were more prevalent in workers who were male, aged the 40s, and engaged in finance, as well as with 1-5 years of working duration than their respective counterparts. Increasing trend of suicide cases was statistically significant by the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel test (p=.002). Conclusion: This study suggests that work-related mental disorder management strategy and system should be established.

An Fuzzy-based Risk Reasoning Driving Strategy on VANET

  • This paper proposes an Fuzzy-based Risk Reasoning Driving Strategy on VANET. Its first reasoning phase consists of a WC_risk reasoning that reasons the risk by using limited road factors such as current weather, density, accident, and construction, a DR_risk reasoning that reasons the risk by combining the driving resistance with the weight value suitable for the environment of highways and national roads, a DS_risk reasoning that judges the collision risk by using the travel direction, speed. and distance of vehicles and pedestrians, and a Total_risk reasoning that computes a final risk by using the three above-mentioned reasoning. Its second speed reduction proposal phase decides the reduction ratio according to the result of Total_risk and the reduction ratio by comparing the regulation speed of road to current vehicle's speed. Its third risk notification phase works in case current driving speed exceeds regulation speed or in case the Total_risk is higher than AV(Average Value). The Risk Notification Phase informs rear vehicles or pedestrians around of a risk according to drivers's response. If drivers use a brake according to the proposed speed reduction, the precedent vehicles transfers Risk Notification Messages to rear vehicles. If they don't use a brake, a current driving vehicle transfers a Risk Message to pedestrians. Therefore, this paper not only prevents collision accident beforehand by reasoning the risk happening to pedestrians and vehicles but also decreases the loss of various resources by reducing traffic jam.

야영장 내 액화석유가스 사용실태 및 위험요소 분석 (An analysis of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Usage and Risk Factor in the Camp Site)

  • 국내 캠핑문화의 확산과 국민 여가문화의 선진화에 따라 야영인구 및 야영장의 수가 급속히 증가하고 있다. 야영인구 및 야영장 수의 빠른 증가로 인하여 안전사고 또한 급격히 증가하고 있어서 효율적인 안전관리 대책이 필요하다. 특히, 과열에 의한 부탄캔의 폭발, 밀폐된 공간에서 연소기 사용에 의한 CO 중독 등의 가스사고가 증가하고 있으므로 사고를 예방하는데 집중할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 취사장, 샤워장 등 야영장 시설에서 사용되는 액화석유가스 시설과 주요 캠핑용품의 사용실태 및 위험요소를 분석하고 효과적인 안전관리 방안 도출을 위한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 국내 야영장 내 액화석유가스 사용 상 안전 관리 효율성 증대에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Can a nanofluid enhance the critical heat flux if the recirculating coolant contains debris?

  • In-vessel corium retention (IVR) during external reactor vessel cooling (ERVC) is a key severe accident management strategy adopted in advanced nuclear power plants. The injection of nanofluids has been regarded as a means of enhancing CHF when using the IVR-ERVC strategy to safeguard high-power nuclear reactors. However, a critical practical concern is that various types of debris flowing from the contaminant sump during operation of an ERVC system might degrade CHF enhancement by nanofluids. Our objective here was to experimentally assess the viability of nanofluid use to enhance CHF in practical ERVC contexts (e.g., when fluids contain various types of debris). The types and characteristics of debris expected during IVR-ERVC were examined. We performed pool boiling CHF experiments using nanofluids containing these types of debris. Notably, we found that debris did not cause any degradation of the CHF enhancement characteristics of nanofluids. The nanoparticles are approximately 1000-fold smaller than the debris particles; the number of nanoparticles in the same volume fraction is 1 billion-fold greater. Nanofluids increase CHF via porous deposition of nanosized particles on the boiling surface; this is not hindered by extremely large debris particles.

셀프리더십과 고객지향성의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과: 항공사 객실승무원 중심으로 (A Study on the Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy in the Relationship between Self-leadership and Customer Orientation: Focusing on Airline Cabin Crew)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of self-leadership on self-efficacy and customer orientation and to verify whether there is a mediating effect of self-efficy on the relationship between self-leadership and customer orientation. Methods: To verify these research problems, the subjects of this study were a total of 300 Korean cabin crew members working for domestic and foreign airlines who received distributed questionnaires and 247 copies wee analysed using the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: First, it can be seen that the self-leadership of airline cabin crew has a significant positive (+) effect on self-efficacy, indicating that self-leadership has a positive effect on the self-efficacy of the members of the organization. Second, it was found that self-efficacy had a positive (+) effect on the customer orientation of airline cabin crew, and it was analyzed that self-efficacy played a partial mediating role in the relationship between self-leadership and customer orientation. Third, it was found that self-leadership had a positive (+) effect on customer orientation, and it was proved that behavior-oriented strategy, constructive accident pattern, and natural compensation strategy, which are three sub-factors of self-leadership of cabin crew, have an influence on customer orientation. Conclusion: based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications of this study and directions for future research were presented.

  • 이 논문은 중대사고가 발생하였을때 운전원에 의하여 사고관리 방안을 수행하는 경우 그 실현성(Feasibility)을, 평가하는데 사용할 수 있는 새로운 시간의존적 신뢰도 분석방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법은 성능요구 (Performance Requirement)와 성능성취 (Performance Achievement)의 상관관계의 개념을 이용하는 신뢰도물리(Reliability Physics)와 모든 시간의존적 사고경위를 도출하는 동적사건수목 생성방법에 기초하고있다. 신뢰도물리는 성능요구변수와 성능성취변수의 비교를 이용한 신뢰도분석방법인 반면 동적사건수목 생성방법은 바람직한 해를 얻을 때까지 모든 가능한 사고경위를 도출해 내는 방법이다. 이 방법론을 정전사고시 참조원전의 공동에 비상화재시스템을 이용하여 물을 공급하는 공동범람사고관리 방안에 적용시켰다. Latin Hypercube Sampling 방법은 성능요구변수의 불확실성을 평가하는데 사용되었다. 제시된 방법론은 사고시 필요한 운전원의 방안수행 성공가능성을 평가하는데 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 궁극적으로 사고관리 절차서 개발에 도움이 될 수 있음을 보여주었다.
