Traditional technologies that are used to improve the performance of hard disk drives show many negative cases if they are applied to solid state drives (SSD). Access time and block sequence in hard disk drives that consist of mechanical components are very important performance factors. Meanwhile, SSD provides superior random read performance that is not affected by block address sequence due to the characteristics of flash memory. Practically, it is recommended to disable prefetching if a SSD is installed in a personal computer. However, this paper presents a combinational method of a prefetching scheme and a memory management that consider the internal structure of SSD and the characteristics of NAND flash memory. It is important that SSD must concurrently operate multiple flash memory chips. The I/O unit size of NAND flash memory tends to increase and it exceeded the block size of operating systems. Hence, the proposed prefetching scheme performs in an operating unit of SSD. To complement a weak point of the prefetching scheme, the proposed memory management scheme adaptively evicts uselessly prefetched data to maximize the sum of cache hit rate and prefetch hit rate. We implemented the proposed schemes as a Linux kernel module and evaluated them using a commercial SSD. The schemes improved the I/O performance up to 26% in a given experiment.

This paper aims to link the development strategy of a local government(Guri-si, Kyunggi-do) to a spatial decision support system that is in the early stages of implementation and testing. Spatial Decision for a local governmental authority typically involves multiple stakeholders. To any specific regional problem, stakeholders often have various levels of knowledge and experiences about it, that yield conflicting views. In this point of view, the enhanced access to information can bring the decision process to solve the problem throughout more public participation. Recently, Urban development study was required to improve the decision making of public participation form. This study aim to investigate an analysis local government of Guri-si, can be supported as the suggestion of decision making system. Guri-si has been argued that it would improve citizen's life quality intent theme 'by historical tourism in general dimension' promote region identity, environment friendly and transportational strength, by reflecting various plan of urban development and it executed strategy. There are increasing interest in citizen participation and practical using of policy decision making to respond to uncertain environment and systematic exploration of local government. Focused on the contents of public participation decision making, it is important to investigate how to analysis urban development strategy and geographic information relationship for useful. The paper concludes with a discussion of current issues encountered during development and implementation of spatial decision making(or support) system for the local administrative authority.

Since the 1960s, as de-institutionalization for the disabled advanced, the concept of integration for the disabled and the non-disabled has gradually developed as well. Despite efforts to improve various welfare policies for the disabled, their satisfaction level in culture and leisure activities has not significantly increased. This study aims to analyze the 10 selected design guidelines dealing with disability in order to diagnose the current status of the guidelines adaptable to inclusive park design, which can provide opportunities to access natural and cultural public spaces. From the users' point of view, the guidelines turn out not to have a balance between the disabled and the non-disabled in terms of the usage of certain spaces and they heavily focus on physical disability in adult ages. From the planning and design aspect, a specified design process is overlooked. Amenities/facilities and programs, layout and zoning are only mentioned while they are very specific about accessibility and mobility. It is necessary to establish the concept and goal of inclusive parks, and to provide specialized guidelines for inclusive parks from a more balanced perspective.

The characteristic of the backbond for distribution service in WMNs(Wireless Mesh Networks) is that WMNs has multiple links connected to mesh points and dynamic routing protocol such as AODV to establish routing paths. When the terminal is communicating with the service through new AP, mobile nodes can resume communication by setting only the link between new AP and mobile node in the case of existing WLANs, but WMNs needs path establishment process in multihop networks. Our goal in this paper is to support the seamless communication service by eliminating path establishment delay in WMNs. We present the method that eliminates the handover latency by predicting the location of handover using GPS information and making the paths to their destination in advance. We implement mesh nodes using embedded board that contains proposed handover method and evaluate performance of handover latency. Our experiment shows that handover delay time is decreased from 2.47 to 0.05 seconds and data loss rate is decreased from 20~35% in the existing method to 0~10% level.
This thesis investigated disabled students' actual status of applying for university libraries. This thesis investigated how many times the university disabled students utilized the libraries, if facilities, apparatuses, materials, and regular employees were operated properly, and if they were established actually on the target at thirty private university libraries located at Seoul and Gyeonggi regions in operation of specially screening the objective students for special education in 2008. The investigation found that the general operation level of university libraries for disabled students were less than "medium"(average 2.38). As for utilization ratio, the most university students responded that "they didn't utilize libraries so many times(60%)". As for the response ratio of university library facilities and services, the most university students responded, "very insufficient", 99 items(32.27%), and the least university students responded, "very excellent", 28 items(7.0%). On the other hand, as for the analysis of each field, building facilities, in all of the items, were established more than "medium"(average 3.26), but material preparation level(average 1.8 point), employee education for softly supporting disabled students, and library utilization education on the target at disabled students(average 1.87) were less than "insufficient". Especially, the field of service was "insufficient level"(average 2.48), and standard deviation was more than 1.4. Manpower stationing and material delivery services have the biggest standard deviation between universities. So, this investigation found that university libraries reformed access to facilities a lot, but that its level of fundamental policy for library, such as materials, manpower, and the education on utilization, were in insufficient level.

This study was conducted to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a 3-week family medicine clerkship program based on the results of an online survey taken by the students (N=127) and a structured interview with a focus group (n=10), aimed to improve the quality of the clerkship program. The online survey contained questions pertaining to goals, schedule, contents, arrangement, atmosphere, environment, evaluation, and satisfaction regarding the clerkship. The focus group interview addressed the schedule and achievements of the program. Scores were reported on a 5-point Likert scale. Most students were highly satisfied with the overall quality of the clerkship. The structured interview results showed that 97.6% of the clerkship program was executed according to the schedule. The focus group reported a perfect score of 5 points on several measures including: accomplishment of the educational goals of the family medicine clerkship, providing many chances to obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations on real patients, experience with various symptoms and diseases, positive attitudes of faculty members when teaching, notification of the guidelines for evaluation beforehand, well-constructed and effective clerkship schedule, and reflection of student feedback. However, the focus group gave low scores on: support for health accidents of students, access to patient information, enough opportunities to practice clinical skills, appropriate rest facilities for students, and fairness of clerkship evaluation process. In conclusion, the structured evaluation performed after the 3-week clerkship program motivated students and helped them ensure an efficient clerkship. This structured evaluation also suggested basic data to make the professor who is subject of the assessment. This study shows that structured assessment is an effective method which can be used to improve the quality of clerkships.

As the development of the various IP-based services, it is expected that Internet telephony service will gradually replace the traditional PSTN-based telephony service. But there are many issues resolved to spread the Internet telephony service. One of them is to support the emergency services in the Internet telephony. In the case of USA, it has been regulated that 911 services should be supported in the Internet telephony services using VoIP on the similar performance level to PSTN 911 service. According to the regulation, basic VoIP 911 calls should be routed to the general access line of LEA without the location information or the callback number, but the enhanced VoIP 911 calls with the location information and callback number should be routed on the dedicated 911 network and destined to the local 911 distribution center such as PSAP. But, in the current VoIP-based Internet telephony network, the emergency call service has not been handled as one of the special services as well at has a worse performance in comparison to it on PSTN. Moreover, the service has a critical problem that it can not be destined to the nearest PSAP because of the insufficient information about the location information and the call back number. In this paper, we suggest the SIP-based emergency call service mechanism in order to resolve the problems above mentioned. This suggested mechanism is implemented to show its effectiveness and efficiency.
This study delineates how recipients access, understand, and make use of social welfare information in their life-worlds. Through this vivid illustration about recipients' information behaviors, this research aims to suggest that government-centred welfare informatization policy should be readjusted. South Korean government has made enormous efforts to deliver and share social welfare information and knowledge with recipients, by organizing IT eduction programmes, offering free computers, and opening welfare portals. However, despite of such endeavors, not a few recipients find difficulty in gaining, grasping, and using welfare information. In fact, welfare informatization programmes have so far been initiated by the governmental bureaucratic system, and the voice of recipients have hardly been reflected on the informatization policy. Starting from this problem, this study examines how low-income recipients perceive and accept social welfare information in their daily lives and reflects on social welfare information at their point. For this purpose, this research conducted in-depth interviews with 14 recipients and analyzed the data using a framework analysis method. Based on the results, it raises the need for the remodelling of current welfare informatization measures from the perspective of recipients rather than following the custom of the bureaucratic system.
To prevent the secondary hospital-acquired infection (cross-infection) from occurring in the general radiographic room in the department of radiology, the microbial measurement was conducted at the points making direct close contact with radiologists and patients. For the case of radiologists, the microbial measurement and incubation were focused on the x-ray tube handle of the radiation generating device, and, for the case of patients, the microbial measurement and incubation were focused on the chin supporting device, chest-contact point, and handle. Once disinfected with Aniosurf, the sterilized media were gathered and identified, and the microorganisms were confirmed. Based on the identification results, it was confirmed that the points making direct close contact with radiologists showed a value of 103 CFU for Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus spp. and Candida spp., and that the points making direct close contact with patients showed a value of 103~5 CFU for Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcu faecium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, NTM(Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria) and Candida spp.. It was also confirmed that the types and number of microorganisms gathered from the points making direct close contact with patients were greater. Fortunately, most of the involved microorganisms were observed to be on the skin surface and are known to become extinct when disinfected in accordance with the hospital-acquired infection control rules. However, since even minor exposure to such microorganisms may be lethal for patients with reduced immunity, caution must be taken. In particular, since the points making contact with patients showed a high level of microbial measurement, it was thought that it would be necessary for radiologists and personnel having frequent access to strictly disinfect the parts, such as instruments and handles, making frequent contact with patients. The purpose of this study was to announce the importance of safe microbial control in the radiographic inspection room in hospital, and this study is expected to be used as the baseline data for preventing hospital-acquired secondary infection and Nth infectious diseases.
In the recent years, Gov.2.0, which strengthens not only a claim for freedom of information but also sharing public information, became a new paradigm of government operations. In line with the paradigm the Korean government promotes the Gov.3.0 policy. This study exams the freedom of information system, which expends its roles and responsibilities for enhancing the usage of public information in the Gov.3.0 era. Furthermore, it analyzes the system's usability from the perspective of users. The freedom of information system is the fundamental portal for all the public information's disclosure and usage. Without providing the solution for problems of the system, the Korean government's Gov3.0 policy cannot succeed. Also, Park Geun-hye Government's Gov.3.0 initiatives which consists of tasks, such as reinforcing freedom of information, immediate releasing original documents, and expending public access to information, should be done through the freedom of information system. The importance of the system is increasingly heavy. It is not only the simple online contact point for public information, but also a public sphere for sharing public raw data and for implementing the Gov.3.0 vision. However, the current system still does not slove it problems. This study analyzes the system's problems in terms of usability and sustainability. As a result, it provides three alternative strategies for the freedom of information system, including 'personnel and financial support expansion', 'strengthening user-friendly operating' and 'establishing long-term strategies for system improvement.
