서보 모터의 가감속을 고려한 NURBS 곡선의 실시간 직선 보간 (Real-time Line Interpolation of a NURBS Curve based on the Acceleration and Deceleration of a Servo Motor)

  • In this paper, a new parametric curve interpolator is proposed based on a 3D(3-dimensional) NURBS curve. A free curve is generally divided into small linear segments or circular arcs in CNC machining. The method has caused to a command error, the limitation of machining speed, and the irregular machining surface. The proposed real-time 3D NURBS interpolator continuously generates a linear segment within the range of allowable acceleration/deceleration in the motion controller. Therefore, the algorithm calculates the curvature and the remained distance of a command curve for the smoothing machining. It is expected to attaining high speed and high precision machining in CNC Machine Tool.

고속도로 졸음쉼터 진·출입 차량 주행속도 분석 및 적정 가·감속차로 길이 산정 연구 (Estimating Acceleration and Deceleration Lane Lengths by Analyzing Vehicle Speed Variation of Rest Areas for Drowsy Drivers)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 졸음쉼터의 진 출입 차량 주행속도 조사를 통해 졸음쉼터 가 감속차로 길이, 설치위치의 종단경사 및 곡선반경이 주행차량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한, 졸음쉼터 적정 가 감속차로 길이 산정을 위해, VISSM을 활용하여 진출입부 길이 별 시나리오를 구축하고, 가 감속차로를 이용하는 차량의 개별차량 주행궤적 자료를 추출하여 차량의 감속 및 가속도의 표준 편차를 산출하였다. 주행속도 조사 결과 졸음쉼터 설치위치의 곡선반경 및 종단경사에 따른 속도차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 무엇보다 가 감속차로 길이에 따른 차량 간의 속도차이가 크게 나타났다. 특히 가 감속차로 길이가 짧게 설치된 졸음쉼터의 경우 차량 간의 속도차이가 큰 것으로 조사되었으며 차량이 졸음쉼터 진입 시 충분히 감속을 하지 못하고 진입하거나 졸음쉼터 이용 후 본선 진입 시 충분히 가속을 하지 못한 채로 본선에 진입하는 것으로 조사되어 위험성이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 가 감속차로 길이에 따른 시뮬레이션 분석결과 진입부의 경우 245m 이상의 감속차로 길이 확보가 필요할 것으로 분석되었으며, 가속차로의 경우 370m 이상으로 설치하였을 때 안전한 진출이 가능한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 서울 지하철 9호선의 급행열차에 대한 높은 인기에서 볼 수 있듯이, 광역 도시철도 급행화에 대한 수요는 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 기존 노선에 건설된 노선을 급행화하기 위해서는 인프라를 추가적으로 설치하여야 하며 많은 비용이 소요된다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해서는 유치선, 건넘선 등 기존에 구축된 인프라를 최대한 활용해서 대피역의 역할을 해야 할 필요가 있다. 이 경우에 급 완행 열차의 교차점을 줄이기 위해, 기존 열차는 급행열차로 활용하고 가 감속도를 증가시킨 고성능 열차를 완행 열차로 투입하는 방법이 있지만 실현 가능한 고성능 열차의 가 감속도와 최적의 가 감속도를 분석하는 현재까지 연구는 진행되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 기존 시설을 최대한 활용하여 급행화 방안을 추진할 때, 고성능 열차의 실현 가능한 가 감속도의 범위를 수식적으로 분석하고 그것을 서울지하철 3호선에서 검증한다. 실험결과는 열차 간 최소간격이 40초 이하일 때, 실현 가능한 가 감속도의 범위가 존재한다는 것을 보여준다.

등가감속 프로파일을 이용한 EOTS 위치제어 (EOTS Position Control Using Constant Acceleration and Deceleration Profile)

  • Electro Otical Tracking System(EOTS) is required for a rapid movement as well as the stabilization of Line-Of-Sight(LOS). In order to achieve these two goals, this paper presents a position and velocity driving profile generation method from the constant acceleration and deceleration profile according to the current state, enabling a fast and smooth trajectory even if the target position changes during the movement of LOS. Simulation and experimental results reveal that the settling time could be reduced significantly by adopting the present position control scheme.

  • Decision of operation performance mode to minimize the energy consumption of urban rail vehicle. This paper analyses how much acceleration and deceleration of urban rail vehicle should be applied andhow to choose an operation mode to minimize energy consumption when train runs between station within the fixed operation time. The decided operation pattern satisfying the minimum energy consumption becomes a target trajectory and a basis for the controller design criteria. To make this goal it grasps the characteristics of urban rail vehicle, realize operation energy model of urban rail vehicle and verify the accuracy of embodied model the Matlab simulation with the same operation result of real route. It searches for operation pattern to minimize operation energy by changing the acceleration and deceleration on the imaginative route and proposes operation pattern minimizing energy consumption by applying real operation data between Dolgogee-Sukgye section of Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 6.

Infeed Control Algorithm of Sorting System Using Modified Trapezoidal Velocity Profiles

  • This paper applies acceleration/deceleration control-based velocity profiles to an infeed control algorithm for a cross-belt-type sorting system to improve the accuracy and performance of the system's infeed. The velocity profiles are of a trapezoidal shape and often have to be modified to ensure that parcels correctly synchronize with their intended carriers. Under the proposed method, an infeed line can handle up to 5,600 items/h, which indicates a 40% increase in performance in comparison with its existing handling rate of 4,000 items/h. This improvement in performance may lead to a reduction in the number of infeed lines required in a sorting system. The proposed infeed control algorithm is applied to a cross-belt-type sorting system (model name: SCS 1500) manufactured by Vanderlande Industries.

  • This paper introduces the performance test of the prototype vehicle, which will be in operation for Urban Maglev Program. While common trains with steel wheels use rotary induction motors for propulsion, maglev trains gain thrust force from linear induction motors maintaining the constant airgap with levitation electromagnets. Therefore, not only the behavior of the linear induction motor should be well understood, but also the way of propulsion that minimizes its effect on the levitation system should be took into account. Performance test procedures of maglev trains are proposed and carried out, and the characteristics of acceleration and deceleration are verified to agree with the design criteria. Tests are mainly performed on the linear section of the test line, and the driving characteristics on the section with a 6‰ incline are examined additionally. As a result, the performance of the prototype vehicle in the reverse operation can satisfy the requirement about the acceleration and deceleration, 4.0$m/s^2$. And, the design modifications of the commercial vehicle and the performance specifications required on the demonstration line are investigated.

  • In CNC machining, a 3D(3-dimension) linear segment and a 2D(2-dimension) circular arc are general forms given by CAD/CAM system. Generally, the 2D circular arc machining is processed using dividing into some linear segments. A 3D circular arc also don't exist in the standard form of NC data. This paper present a algorithm and method for real-time machining of a circular arc(not only the 2D one, but also the 3D one). The 3D circular arc machining is based on the 2D circular arc machining. It only needs making a new coordinate system, converting given 3D points(a start point, a end point, and a center point of a 3D circular arc) into points of the new coordinate system, and processing a inverse transformation about a interpolated point. The proposed algorithm was implemented and simulated on PC system. It was confirmed to give a gcod result.

  • The strip tension as well as the line speed should be controlled tightly for the quality of products and productivity of the continuous strip processing line. In this paper, a new tension control algorithm with tension observer is proposed using observed tension as regulator feedback. The tension observer is based on the torque balance of a roller stand including the acceleration torque. Using this estimated tension, new tension controller can be constructed with faster dynamic response in case of line speed acceleration or deceleration. The proposed scheme needs no additional hardware because the inputs of observer, current and speed, are already being monitored by the motor drive system. Through the simulations and experiments with laboratory set up, performances fo conventional schemes and proposed one are compared. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed tension controller.

  • This paper presents a new systematic contingency selection, screening and ranking method for on-line transient security assessment. Transient stability of a particular generator is influenced most by fault near it. Fault at the transmission lines adjacent to the generators are selected as contingency. Two screening methods are developed using the sensitivity of modal synchronizing torque coefficient and computing an approximate critical clearing time(CCT) without time simulation. The first method, which considers only synchronizing power, may mislead in some cases since it does not consider the acceleration power. The approximate CCT method, which consider both the acceleration and deceleration power, worked well. Finally the Single Machine Equivalent(SIME) method is implemented using IPLAN of PSS/E for detailed stability analysis.
