Providing variable load for testing a motor in high speed conditions is usually a difficult task. The eddy current brake can be used in application of load testing of motors. This paper deals with construction of a novel claw pole eddy current brake which is employed as a load for a DC counter rotating motor (CRM). These kinds of motors have two inner and outer shafts that rotate in opposite directions simultaneously, which are particularly suitable for under water propulsion systems. The prototype 45KW eddy current brake consists of two parts. One of them is installed on the inner shaft of the 60KW DC CRM and the other one is installed on its outer shaft. The simulation and experimental results with prototype brakes are also analyzed by using MATLAB/Simulink and the operational characteristic of the brake is demonstrated as a function of the motor speed and current of the magnetic poles.

Today, universities in Korea give a great effort to complement basic college scholastic ability of freshman. Maybe it could be unnecessary effort from university. However, we cannot just leave students who have poor academic performance about 10 to 30% in a university. Universities have to prepare to solve this problem. Thus government and universities investigate a lot of efforts but there is no guarantee. As a result, e-learning could be the best solution to complement poor academic performance of freshman and it also could be the best way to reduce financial burden of university. So, many universities introduce e-learning system and they also support professors to make e-learning content. We need to promote content usage and to improve overall operations. In this paper, we discuss poor academic performance problems under the current middle and high school education systems and review approaches to solve these problems. From this analysis, we propose the design of an effective e-learning system and a method of operation to complement students who achieve poor academic performance.
The purpose of this paper is to consider how the Korean major broadcasts employs their broadcasting human resources and makes use of them in connection with broadcasting education as media education in universities. The problems deals with broadcasting education in universities, particularly with regard to the point of broadcasts view, with the training & reeducation systems and with the academic-industrial cooperation. By using depth interview with experts(directors of personnel management of the broadcasts), this paper explores meaning of media education for the training of broadcasting human resources. In the opinions of the responsible officers for personnel management, it distinctly exists different points of view between the related academic circle and the broadcasting on-site. The related academic circle criticizes the chronic invariability of broadcasts, and the broadcasts the impractical broadcasting education of the academic circle.

Purpose. The purpose of this paper is to analyze and evaluate discovery layer search tools for retrieval of legal information in Indian law libraries. This paper covers current practices in legal information retrieval with special reference to Indian academic law libraries, and analyses its importance in the domain of law.Design/Methodology/Approach. A web survey and observational study method are used to collect the data. Data related to the discovery tools were collected using email and further discussion held with the discovery layer/ tool /product developers and their representatives.Findings. Results show that most of the Indian law libraries are subscribing to bundles of legal information resources such as Hein Online, JSTOR, LexisNexis Academic, Manupatra, Westlaw India, SCC web, AIR Online (CDROM), and so on. International legal and academic resources are compatible with discovery tools because they support various standards related to online publishing and dissemination such as OAI/PMH, Open URL, MARC21, and Z39.50, but Indian legal resources such as Manupatra, Air, and SCC are not compatible with the discovery layers. The central index is one of the important components in a discovery search interface, and discovery layer services/tools could be useful for Indian law libraries also if they can include multiple legal and academic resources in their central index. But present practices and observations reveal that discovery layers are not providing facility to cover legal information resources. Therefore, in the present form, discovery tools are not very useful; they are an incomplete and half solution for Indian libraries because all available Indian legal resources available in the law libraries are not covered.Originality/Value. Very limited research or published literature is available in the area of discovery layers and their compatibility with legal information resources.

This paper is based on the assumption that the sexual awareness and sexual behaviour of high school students would show the difference between an academic high school and a vocational high school. The main purpose of this paper is to provide basic information on establishing the direction of a realistic and efficient education, which leads to the desirable sex ethics eventually. To do this, a comparative study was carried out to figure out the difference between academic high school students and vocational high school students in terms of their actual awareness and behaviour of sex. I put the following two questions in order to achieve the goal of this study. First, what is the difference in sexual awareness between academic high school students and vocational high school students? Second, what is the difference in sexual behaviour between academic high school students and vocational high school students? The subjects of the survey conducted were 595 high school students in Kyunggi Province and I made the questionnaires referencing pre-studies. The SPSS program was used to get a frequency and a percentage from the results of the survey and then, by applying t-text, $x^2$ verification and interrelation, the following results were obtained. First, regarding sexual awareness, there wasn't much difference in their idea of keeping virginity before marriage between academic high school students and vocational high school students. From the results obtained by analyzing the interrelation between students and their parents and friends in terms of a will to keep virginity, it is found that there was a relevance in both academic high school and vocational high school. When they have a sex problem, it was friends that they are looking for consulting and both groups showed thesame result. But pertaining to an experience of a sex education, the comparative analysis indicated an meaningful difference. Second, as for sex behaviour, it was shown that there was a difference in the experience of going out with the other sex between academic high school students and vocational high school students as well as in the degree of physical touch. However, not much difference was shown in controlling a sex desire between the two groups. As a results of the comparative analysis of the sex experience between the two groups, there was a meaningful difference. In terms of the object of their sex experience, the majority of students in the two groups chose a friend as their first answer and there was little difference. From these results I can draw some conclusions that most of the students in both groups have a link with friends and parents in keeping their virginity. Furthermore, a meaningful difference in experiencing a sex education is presented between the two groups. With regard to the sex behaviour of high school students, a meaningful difference is shown in dating the other sex, a physical touch and a sex experience between the two groups. Consequently, we realize that there is a meaningful difference in some variants on the sexual awareness and sexual behaviour of high school students between academic high school and vocational high school.
This paper analyzed the current level of the middle school academic achievement in Changwon City and explored the ways for improving academic achievement of the middle school in Changwon City. The data used in the analysis were the results of National Assessment of Educational Achievement of middle school students from 2013 to 2016 which was released on the school's information website(www.schoolinfo.go.kr) First, the analysis found that the academic achievement level of the middle school in Changwon City was not higher than those of Gwangju, Daejeon, and Ulsan, where the population size is similar. Second, the level of academic achievement among middle schools in Changwon City differed by year. Third, the level of academic achievement of middle school in Changwon City differed by district. Fourth, the educational achievement gap among middle schools in Changwon City existed by public and private school, as well as by male school, female school, and male and female Middle School. The paper suggested that schools with low ratio of proficient and above achievement levels should look for ways to raise the percentage of proficient and above achievement levels, and schools with higher rates of below basic achievement should make efforts to solve the problem.
In this paper, A study about using Web 2.0 tools for school academic calendar can be managed systematically and effectively. Academic Calendar of elementary school as a whole displays a calendar and is managed and operated as a traditional academic calendar management system. Academic Calendar of the existing system configuration and operating primarily to teachers, parents, students, and participation in the sharing of information is inefficient. As a result of openness and sharing of information, the user is at the core of the participating elementary school academic calendar to take advantage of Web 2.0 to design and implement management systems were applied experimentally. School Calendar Web 2.0 tools used to manage the teachers, parents, students, seamless communication and sharing of information available and The school year schedule is repeated almost the same characteristics because it has very great significance of the information has recycled.
Purpose - The purpose of this study was to review and analyze EAJBE (The East Asian Journal of Business Economics) of EABEA (The East Asia Business Economics Association) and all of their published articles of 2013 to 2017 and to revise and update the existing publication standards and practices in order to improve the overall quality and reputation of EAJBE. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper applied an analytical approach, a case study method, to analyze and examine the published articles and the publication standards and practices of EAJBE (East Asian Journal of Business Economics) from their first publication. Results - The EAJBE has been issuing academic journals four times a year since its foundation. Although it is a journal based in Korea, overseas scholars publish articles steadily compared to other academic journals and the EAJBE raises the level of globalization. The level of internationalization of association's management and editorial members is also high, making the overall academic journal more cosmopolitan. Conclusions - Although the EABEA (The East Asia Business Economics Association) is a newly formed, the association is actively managing the academic community and making two major goals for the development of the academic journal. First, this journal is actively attracting overseas scholars, and is raising the level of internationalization. As an integrated academic conference is held with overseas scholars, they actively exchange with overseas scholars by contributing and publishing their papers. Second, it is seeking to establish national and international ties by publishing the papers of Korean scholars as well as abroad and holding academic contests regularly.
This paper aims to identify trends of domestic industry-academic cooperation through comparative analysis of domestic and overseas academic articles published over the past 10 years (2011-2021). To this end, keyword network analysis and topic modeling analysis were performed to identify the characteristics of the entire articles collected. As results, it turned out that domestic articles included school, employment, education, patent, and professor as a major keyword while for overseas articles, project, policy, innovation, and company were the main topics, and related keywords were found to be influential. These results suggest that domestic industry-academic cooperation would have been designed and led by universities focusing on education for employment, and need to be carried out more actively in the areas of 'research' and 'technology transfer with the government's related policies and support on establishing two-way relationships that can benefit both schools and participating companies.

The academic information system of a university is the core system of the university, and since it has to manage all the various activities in the university, such as student academic records, it becomes complicated every year and the data increases indiscriminately. As a result, the reliability of the data of the academic information system is lowered, which causes communication problems with users and may cause a major failure in the system. Therefore, in this paper, column attribute analysis, allowable value list analysis, string pattern analysis, date type analysis, and unique value analysis methods were designed for the academic information system using the data profiling technique of data quality management. In the implementation stage, the script was implemented using the above five analysis methods, and by executing the script, errors by type of the academic information system were found, the cause of the error was found and corrected inside the system, and the probability of internal system failure was lowered.
