Purpose: The purpose of this study was to remind the importance of research ethics in research and publication, and to suggest the direction of research ethics by taking examples of research ethics recently implemented by KJFHC. Research design, data and methodology: With reference to the research of existing researchers, why research ethics is important, what are the violations of research ethics, and the efforts of the editorial committee of KJFHC to strengthen research ethics are presented as an example. Results: It is a reality that the concept of research ethics is becoming more complex and important with the introduction of various new academic fields. At this point in time, researchers need to pay more attention to the easily overlooked concept of research ethics. In research ethics, the most important thing is not punishment through monitoring and supervision, but prevention activities of research ethics that can prevent research misconduct before it occurs. As a preventive activity for research ethics, it can be said that the most important is the establishment of a systematic education system and active educational activities of universities and related institutions. Conclusions: This study avoids the general status and solutions for research ethics, and explains the case of the actual academic journal KJFHC and suggests alternatives.

Purpose: This research aims to identify positive connections between digital fashion product value and consumer purchase behavior. The research tries to offer valuable insights and implications for fashion industry practitioners, enabling them to harness the power of the Metaverse to enhance customer engagement, drive sales, and stay ahead in this ever-evolving digital landscape. Research design, data and methodology: The research design for this study is a systematic literature review. A systematic and rigorous approach was adopted to ensure the reliability and validity of the research findings. By conducting this kind of approach to achieve the purpose of the study, this research aims to comprehensively analyze existing academic articles, peer-reviewed journals, and relevant publications related to the topic. Results: According to various academic search engines, the results revealed several dimensions of value associated with digital fashion products on the Metaverse platform, which significantly influence consumer perceptions. These dimensions of value extend beyond traditional tangible attributes and are uniquely shaped by the immersive and interactive nature of the virtual environment. Conclusions: All in all, the findings highlighted the significance of experiential value in driving purchase behavior. Creating immersive and interactive virtual shopping experiences emerged as a crucial strategy for fashion industry practitioners to engage potential consumers effectively.

This research was conducted in order to examine previous studies on paternal parenting methods involving adolescent children in terms of their academic field, research period, method and subjects, and family variables. A total of 104 research publications from the period between 2003 and 2022 were investigated, with 99 quantitative research (43 theses and 56 academic journals) and five qualitative data sources. The analysis results show that the topic of fathers with adolescent children was the most studied in the field of education, and it rapidly increased from 2011 to 2014 and then rapidly decreased from 2019. The main subject of the studies was middle-school students, while most of the studies adopted a quantitative approach, with a minimal number of qualitative studies. Parenting studies were concentrated on father variables and several such studies were found to be related to positive resources such as self-esteem and self-efficacy as variables of adolescent children related to fathers' parenting. The results of these studies provide meaningful implications for future research on the fathers of adolescent children and can be used as basic data for developing detailed education and programs.

The purpose of this study is to derive and type utilization indexes by comparing public design indicators with preceding studies related to closed school facilities, and to derive preliminary classification systems through a correlation review between indicators. Pre-research was conducted in the scope of academic papers, academic journals, research reports, and special act for promoting the utilization of closed school assets. Public design indicators were set in the scope of domestic design guidelines, the Seoul city public design assessment system, the 'Good Building' designation system, and the UK Design Quality Index (DQI). and the design review of the British architects. First of all, the research method looked at laws, procedures and utilization of closed schools, and reviewed the preceding study and domestic and international public design indicators sequentially. Next, the association was reviewed through a comparison between the preceding study and the public design indicators, and a preliminary classification system for the use of closed schools was derived from this.

This study examined the trends of domestic academic research on children of divorced families by classifying them by period, method, target, and subject. From 2000 to 2022, 105 papers published in 58 journals were surveyed. In terms of research methods, quantitative research was conducted using questionnaires and panel data. The subjects of the reviewed studies were mainly elementary school children, and there were many studies on both divorced single mother and child families as well as divorced single father and child families. By analyzing the core subjects of the study, papers related to children's personal adaptation accounted for the largest proportion, followed by problematic behaviors, psychological difficulties, such as depression and stress, and relationships. In conclusion, due to the high divorce rate in Korea there is a need to focus academic attention on the children of divorced families. To this end, it is necessary to study the adaptation and protection factors of the children of divorced families. More qualitative research should be conducted on children of divorced families of various ages, not just elementary school students.

This study was conducted for the purpose of systematically identifying research trends in technology transfer and commercialization and setting future research directions in academia. Over a total of 35 years (1987-2021), 146 papers related to technology transfer and commercialization were analyzed for research period, research area, research methods, and research subjects. The research results are as follows. First, the largest number of papers (55) was published during the Park Geun-hye administration. Second, among major academic journals, only the 'Korea Society for Technology Innovation' had a relatively high proportion of research. Third, quantitative research (38%) was the most widely applied research method. Fourth, the most frequent research target was institutions/systems (44%). Additionally, the results of frequency analysis of 729 keywords were presented in a word cloud. This study is significant as the most current study that attempted bibliographic analysis of technology transfer and commercialization research papers over the past 35 years.

Recommender systems have become an important research field since the emergence of the first paper on collaborative filtering in the mid-1990s. In general, recommender systems are defined as the supporting systems which help users to find information, products, or services (such as books, movies, music, digital products, web sites, and TV programs) by aggregating and analyzing suggestions from other users, which mean reviews from various authorities, and user attributes. However, as academic researches on recommender systems have increased significantly over the last ten years, more researches are required to be applicable in the real world situation. Because research field on recommender systems is still wide and less mature than other research fields. Accordingly, the existing articles on recommender systems need to be reviewed toward the next generation of recommender systems. However, it would be not easy to confine the recommender system researches to specific disciplines, considering the nature of the recommender system researches. So, we reviewed all articles on recommender systems from 37 journals which were published from 2001 to 2010. The 37 journals are selected from top 125 journals of the MIS Journal Rankings. Also, the literature search was based on the descriptors "Recommender system", "Recommendation system", "Personalization system", "Collaborative filtering" and "Contents filtering". The full text of each article was reviewed to eliminate the article that was not actually related to recommender systems. Many of articles were excluded because the articles such as Conference papers, master's and doctoral dissertations, textbook, unpublished working papers, non-English publication papers and news were unfit for our research. We classified articles by year of publication, journals, recommendation fields, and data mining techniques. The recommendation fields and data mining techniques of 187 articles are reviewed and classified into eight recommendation fields (book, document, image, movie, music, shopping, TV program, and others) and eight data mining techniques (association rule, clustering, decision tree, k-nearest neighbor, link analysis, neural network, regression, and other heuristic methods). The results represented in this paper have several significant implications. First, based on previous publication rates, the interest in the recommender system related research will grow significantly in the future. Second, 49 articles are related to movie recommendation whereas image and TV program recommendation are identified in only 6 articles. This result has been caused by the easy use of MovieLens data set. So, it is necessary to prepare data set of other fields. Third, recently social network analysis has been used in the various applications. However studies on recommender systems using social network analysis are deficient. Henceforth, we expect that new recommendation approaches using social network analysis will be developed in the recommender systems. So, it will be an interesting and further research area to evaluate the recommendation system researches using social method analysis. This result provides trend of recommender system researches by examining the published literature, and provides practitioners and researchers with insight and future direction on recommender systems. We hope that this research helps anyone who is interested in recommender systems research to gain insight for future research.

The purpose of this study was to identify bibliographic characteristics of the top level articles among KCI indexed academic articles. Unlike the existing analysis on citation and most-cited articles, this study analyzed their bibliographic characteristics. The 3,453 articles were collected from 17 social science fields in KCI. The characteristics of authors, institutions, publications, journals, and citations were analyzed. According to the result of the analysis, there was a difference in the ratio of single authors to co-authors and in the number of co-authors. The authors were mostly single authors or two co-authors. In general, the percentage of authors of one article was high. Second, the types of institutions were mostly universities, and there were differences in the number of institutions with authors in each field. And the frequency of the authors' affiliation appeared uneven. There were a number of excellent research institutes and authors depending on the field. Third, the average of years to take to become the top articles for publication was 11 years in 2018. Fourth, most of the published journals were KCI registered journals, and the influence of the journals was not a factor. Fifth, there were differences in the number of cited counts between fields. This study is meaningful to grasp the influencing factors on the bibliographic characteristics of the most-cited articles for the social science field.

To understand the research trends of English education in Korea for the last 20 years from 2000 to 2019, 12 major academic journals in Korea in the field of English education were selected, and bibliographic information of 7,329 articles published in these journals were collected and analyzed. The total number of articles increased from the 2000s to the first half of the 2010s, but decreased somewhat in the late 2010s and the number of publications by journal has become similar. These results show that the overall influence of English education journals has decreased and then leveled in terms of quantity. Next, 34 topics were extracted by applying latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic modeling using the English abstract of the articles. Teacher, word, culture/media, and grammar appeared as topics that were highly studied. Topics such as word, vocabulary, and testing and evaluation appeared through unique keywords, and various topics related to learner factors emerged, becoming topics of interest in English education research. Then, topics were analyzed to determine which ones were rising or falling in frequency. As a result of this analysis, qualitative research, vocabulary, learner factor, and testing were found to be rising topics, while falling topics included CALL, language, teaching, and grammar. This change in research topics shows that research interests in the field of English education are shifting from static research topics to data-driven and dynamic research topics.

Research papers published in the Korean Meteorological Society (KMS) journals by the members of KMS since the establishment of KMS in 1963 in the field of atmospheric physics are summarized. A significant number of research papers published in other international journals are also cited in this paper to highlight the achievement of the KMS members in international academic community. The aim is to illustrate the historical development of research activities of the KMS members in the field of atmospheric physics, and indeed it is found that the KMS members have made enormous progress in research publications quantitatively and qualitatively in the field of atmospheric physics. In detail, however, observational studies of aerosol physical properties and cloud and precipitation physics were very active, and studies on cloud physics parameterization for cloud modeling were highly recognized in the world, but observational and theoretical studies of atmospheric radiation were relatively lacking and solicit more contribution from the KMS members.
