안경렌즈 코팅의 평가 방법에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Test Methods for Ophthalmic Lens Coatings)

  • 안경렌즈의 코팅에 대한 평가방법을 검토하였고 렌즈 제조사에서 제공되는 몇 종류의 렌즈에 대해 코팅 평가하였다. 플라스틱 안경렌즈의 생산은 양적으로 크게 증가 추세에 있다. 하지만 플라스틱 안경렌즈의 경도가 약한 관계로 렌즈표면의 내구성 향상은 절대적으로 필요하다. 이를 개선하기 위해 코팅방법을 이용하고 있으며, 안경 렌즈 코팅의 평가는 생산된 렌즈를 무작위로 선택하여 물리적, 화학적으로 평가하고 있지만 투과율 항목을 제외한 부착력, 내마모성, 경도, 내약품성 및 내온수성에 대한 국내 또는 국제적 기준이 없다. 안경렌즈 평가기준이 아닌 다른 기준에 의해 일부 적용하고 있는 기준은 제품간의 비교가 혼란될 수 있는 관계로 이에 대한 평가 기준이 필요하다.

아크릴 단량체의 종류 변화에 의한 수분산 폴리우레탄-아크릴 혼성 용액의 제조 (Preparation of Waterborne Polyurethane-Acrylic Hybrid Solutions from Different Types of Acrylate Monomers)

  • Isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), polycarbonate diol (PCD), dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA)를 출발물질로 하여 수분산 폴리우레탄(waterborne polyurethane dispersion, PUD)을 합성하였다. 이 PUD에 아크릴 단량체인 HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate):MMA (methyl methacrylate), HEMA:BA (butylacrylate), HEMA:BMA (butyl methacrylate), HEMA:HEA (2-hydroxyethyl acrylate), HEMA:PETA (pentaerytritol triacrylate) 혼합물을 첨가하여 수분산 폴리우레탄-아크릴 혼성 용액을 제조하였다. 또한 아크릴 단량체의 종류가 수분산 폴리우레탄-아크릴 혼성 용액의 내약품성과 내마모성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 실험 결과 내약품성은 HEMA와 MMA를 중합한 것이 가장 우수했으며, 내마모성은 HEMA와 PETA를 중합한 것이 가장 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • Recently, with the high performance and efficiency of machine, there have been required the multi-functions in various machine parts, such as the heat resistance, the abrasion resistance and the stress resistance as well as the strength. Fatigue crack growth tests were carried out to investigate the fatigue characteristics of high carbon steel (SM53C) experienced by high-frequency induction treatment. The Cam nose part of the Automobile's Cam shaft is strongly bumped with rocker arm or valve-lift. Therefore abnormal wear such as unfair wear and early wear occur in the surface. This abnormal wear causes a defect that bad timing open and close actions of the engine valve happen in the combustion chamber so the fuel gas will be combustion imperfect. Therefore, the cam shaft demands high hardness and wear resistance. In this study, high frequency heat treatment has been accomplished while wear test for material SM53C.

가스메탈아크용접에서 콘택트팁의 마모에 미치는 용접재료의 영향 (Effect of wear of Contact Tips to Welding Consumable for Gas Metal Arc Welding)

  • The contact tip is higher the wear of resistance and the longer life are demanded to GMA welding process. In this study, four different contact tips with three different compositions by two wires were evaluated their wear resistance by measuring in every one hour the area of enlarged hole at the exit side during actual wleding. Experimental results clearly showed that the Cr-containing tips strengthened by precipitation hardening have much better resistance to wear than those made by work hardening. In addition, flux cored wire is excellent abrasion resistance test results showed. Based on these results, the domestic industry, the life of the contact tip to know will be used as basic data.

  • Chromium plating is a common surface treatment technique extensively applied in industry due its excellent properties which include substantial hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, surface color, and luster. In this study, the effect of PTFE on corrosion behavior of Cr-P plating, low carbon steel substrates are electroplated in Cr(III) baths without and with PTFE. Trivalent chromium carbon plating was electroplated from trivalent chromium sulfate-based baths with different PTFE dispersion contents. The study focused on the microstructure, PTFE content, roughness, and corrosion resistance of the Cr-P-PTFE composite plating. Scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy images showed a smoother plating and a decrease in the surface roughness of the electrodeposited. The results demonstrate that PTFE eliminates the cracks within plating by reducing internal stress. Therefore, the corrosion resistance of Cr-P-PTFE composite platings were better than that of Cr-P alloy platings.

  • The effect of silicon carbide (SiC) and graphite fillers incorporation on the abrasive wear behaviour of glass-vinyl ester (G-V) composites have been investigated. The three-body abrasive wear behaviour was assessed by rubber wheel abrasion tests (RWAT). The worn surfaces were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The addition of SiC and graphite fillers in G-V composite improves the abrasion resistance under different loads/abrading distances. The SEM studies indicate the reasons for failure of composites and influencing parameters.

  • 본 연구는 인공경량콘크리트와 보통콘크리트의 마모저항성에 대한 실험이다. 동일조건에서는 인공경량콘크리트의 마모손실률이 물-결합재비가 커짐에 따라 더욱 증가하지만 플라이애쉬를 혼입한 경우 마모손실률의 차이는 감소하며 물-결합재 30%와 플라이애쉬 15%인 경우 인공경량콘크리트와 보통콘크리트의 마모손실률의 차이는 약 3%정도로 거의 발생하지 않았다.

  • This study found a reliable evaluation for four kinds of pb-Free plating solutions and it's layers, through pure Sn, SnAg, SnBi and SnCu. These four kind of solutions are widely used to pb-Free plating. Hull-cell, Harring-blum, coverage, throwing power, current efficiency, stability, life-time, composition, hardness, roughness, abrasion, scratch, solderability, corrosion, contact angle, morphology, SIR(Surface insulation resistance) and Whisker test were experimented. Also, Using ICP, XRF, FE-SEM, EDS, temperature/humidity chamber, solderability tester, hardness tester, roughness tester, abrasion tester, salt spray tester, contact angle tester, SIR tester, and microscope. In this paper could be shown the systematic and various analysis for reliability about four kinds of pb-Free plating solutions, processes and it's deposit surface.

스테인리스강 프로펠러축의 가공에 따른 재질특성에 관한 연구 (Properties of the material on stainless steel propeller shaft with the weld working)

  • Stainless steel 304 or stainless steel 630 types using propeller shaft of a small ship or a FRP fishing boat generally restrain localization corrosion and abrasion damage occurrence to shaft bearing or grand packing contact. In general, the residual stress which remains after welding or heat treatment in material can cause the stress concentration or localization corrosion. In case of small ship, stainless steel such as STS304 has long been used for propeller shaft. Meanwhile, crew of small ship tend to reuse damaged propeller shaft after repair by welding and performing heat treatment to save cost. However, it was found that reused propeller shaft by repair often caused troubles in ship's operation. In this study, the basic guideline for maintenance and treatment of propeller shaft are investigated. From the results of investigation, remarkable deterioration of the material properties and corrosion resistance on the welded work part was observed.
