탄소 고형물에 의한 터빈의 이상 진동 (Abnormal vibration of steam turbine due to carbon deposit at journal bearing in 500MW thermal power plant)

  • Lubricating oil supply system is an essential instrument for safe turbine operation. A lubricating condition may cause the abnormal vibration of turbine. In this paper we have discussed the abnormal vibration of turbine due to lubricating oil. Dusts of the air usually attach to end of the oil deflector and contact particles of the bearing oil. Dusts which were contacted particles of the bearing oil were changed into carbon deposit because of high temperature. therefore, carbon deposits occur abnormal vibration of the turbine when they contact a rotor. So, we have solved this problems through the various maintenance.

  • 본 연구에서는 500 MW급 석탄화력발전소 기동 중 고압 및 중압 증기터빈축 양단 베어링에서 발생한 이상진동 현상의 원인을 규명하고 해결방안을 모색하기 위하여 알려진 이론에 근거하여 분석을 수행하였다. 주파수, 진폭 및 위상각 분석결과 접촉에 의해 발생하는 진동의 전형적인 특성이 나타나 이상진동의 원인을 접촉으로 판단하였고 증기터빈을 분해하여 내부부품의 마모를 확인하였다. 이상진동을 해소하기 위하여 저속회전 및 발란싱 방법을 적용하였는데 발란싱이 저속회전보다 접촉현상 해소에 우수하였다. 따라서 본 연구와 유사한 특성의 이상진동이 증기터빈 축에서 발생할 경우 발란싱은 유력한 해결방안이 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The purpose of this paper was to identify the mechanism that caused abnormal vibration and noise on the piping system connected to discharge flow of BFP(Boiler Feed water Pump) in a coal fired power plant, and to develop the device that can reduce the level of abnormal vibration and noise. Major results of this project can be summarized as follows: First, we analyzed the acoustic mode for the discharge piping of BFP to trace a path of the noise, and assumed that noise and vibration on the piping system can be related with length of pipe. Second, a minimized model of the piping system was set up to simulate abnormal vibration and noise within the specific range of operating frequencies, and as a result we confirmed that the acoustic mode affected the piping system considerably. Finally the test device which can reduce the level of abnormal noise and vibration was built to verify validity applying for the piping system. Then we concluded that the noise and vibration generated from the piping system was attributed to the acoustic resonance in piping system, and so developed new device which can reduce the level of noise and vibration under 40%.   • The necessity of diagnosis of the rotating machinery which is widely used in the industry is increasing. If rotating machinery has fault, we can detect fault using vibration or noise. But, in diagnosing rotating machinery, the end user who doesn't have expert knowledge needs the help of vibration diagnosis expert. However, vibration diagnosis experts who well satisfy the demand of end user are rare. So, this paper propose a development of the case-based reasoning system for abnormal vibration diagnosis of rotating machinery we construct the past experiences of vibration diagnosis expert into case base and shear the experiences of diagnosis expert with the end user. In this paper, we describe that process of structured system and adapting result of abnormal vibration diagnosis of electric motor.

  • Vibration of rotating machinery is a factor that is something to do with abnormal machinery. Former days, Perception of vibration at rotating machinery had used Shaft rider type. Shaft rider type was adhered to surface of shaft and detected vibration of rotating machinery. Recently, Perception of vibration at rotating machinery uses to non-contact sensor. Working principle of non-contact sensor is used of eddy current. Vibration at rotating machinery appears to deviation of eddy current. In this paper, We investigate abnormal vibration due to non-contact sensor.

  • This paper investigates the abnormal noise of polygon mirror scanner motor due to the mechanical contact. In the high speed polygon mirror scanner motor the vibration of polygon mirror scanner motor is one of the main sources of abnormal noise, because structure-borne noise due to the vibration is bigger than aerodynamic noise, especially when the rotating part contacts the stationary parts. This research determines the main harmonics of structure-borne noise by using sound quality evaluation. It also develops an experimental set-up to measure the mechanical contact and vibration of polygon mirror scanner motor simultaneously. This paper also show that mechanical contact between rotating shaft and stationary sleeve is one of the dominant vibration sources of structure-borne noise which cause the abnormal noise of the high speed polygon mirror scanner motor by using the developed experimental set-up.

  • 산업체 전반의 주요 설비에서 이상 상태는 온도의 이상 상승, 진동과 소음의 변화를 수반하여 나타나게 된다. 본 연구에서는 BLE 를 탑재한 스마트 센싱 모듈를 개발하고, MEMS 기반의 가속도 센서를 인터페이스하여, 설비의 자체결함으로 인한 이상진동을 감지할 수 있는 스마트 센싱 디바이스를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 스마트 센싱장치는 좁은 공간에 쉽게 설치하여, 설비의 진동상태를 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있으며, 어레이 LED 디스플레이로 정상상태와 문제 발생상태를 간편하게 사용자에게 알려줄 수 있다.

  • A very abnormal vibration was occurred at the LP(low pressure) turbine continuously during the pre-operation for a 550MW class USC(ultra super critical) steam turbine. This vibration was initiated at the rotating speed of about 3,450rpm and then the vibration amplitude was highly increased the number by $2{\sim}3$ times with the increase of the rotating speed to the rated speed(3,600rpm). In this paper, this abnormal vibration named spike vibration. This spike vibration was caused by the rubbing between the rotating bucket tip seal and the Lower Half of spill strip. Also, this paper presents the mechanism of the spike vibration and the proper method to eliminate this abnormal vibration problem. This result would be good practice to find the solution of similar high vibration in the USC steam turbines for power plant as well as industrial rotating machineries.

  • At rotating machinery, Many factors had caused vibration. especially one of the major factor is mass unbalance. A sort of mass unbalance are followings; Static, Coupling, Single and Dynamic. In this paper, We had investigated abnormal vibration due to mass unbalance that changed phase whenever starting of steam Turbine at Combined Cycle.
