뉴럴네트워크(NEWFM)를 이용한 심근경색의 특징추출과 분류 (Feature selection and Classification of Heart attack Using NEWFM of Neural Network)

  • 최근 심근경색은 중장년층의 돌연사의 80%로 밝혀졌다. 심근경색의 발병 원인은 복합적이고 갑자기 발생하게 되어 예방이나 건강검진을 하더라도 발병을 예측하기 어렵다. 따라서 빠른 진단과 적절한 치료가 가장 중요하다. 이 논문에서는 심근경색에 대한 정확하고 빠른 진단을 위해 가중퍼지소속함수를 이용한 신경망으로 정상과 비정상 분류에 대한 정확도를 나타내었다. 실험에 사용된 데이터는 14개의 특징과 303개의 샘플 데이터로 이루어진 UCI Machine Learning Repository에서 제공하는 데이터 사용하였다. 2개의 특징을 선택하여 제거하였다. 특징선택을 위한 알고리즘은 average of weight method를 사용하였다. 가중퍼지소속함수를 이용하여 심근경색을 정상과 비정상으로 분류(1-nomal, 2-abnormal)하였다. 실험 결과 정확도가 87.66%가 나왔다.

문진(聞診) 중 성음(聲音).언어(言語)에 대한 연구 (Study on Listening Diagnosis to Vocal Sound and Speech)

  • This study was written in order to help understanding of listening diagnosis to vocal sound and speech. The purpose of listening diagnosis is that we know states of essence(精), Qi(氣) and spirit(神). Vocal sound and speech are made by Qi and spirit. Vocal sound originates from the center of the abdominal region(丹田) and comes out through vocal organs, for example lung, larynx, nose, tongue, tooth, lip and so on. Speech is expressed by vocal sound and spirit. They are controled by the Five Vital organs(五臟). Various changes of vocal sound and speech observe the rules of yinyang. For example, if we consider patient likes to say or not, we can diagnose heat and coldness of illness. If we consider he speaks loudly or quietly, we can diagnose weak and severe of illness. If we consider he speaks clearly or thick, we can diagnose inside and outside of illness. If we consider he speaks damp or dry, we can diagnose yin and yang of illness. If we consider change of voice, we can diagnose new and old illness. Symptoms of changes of five voices, five sounds, dumbness and huskiness are due to abnormal vocal sound, and symptoms of changes of mad talk, mumble, sleep talking and so on are due to abnormal speech.

  • 최근 인공지능에 대한 연구가 진단과 예측 분야에서 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 산업 현장에 설치되어 있는 모터와 펌프에서 발생하는 진동, 회전 수, 전류 데이터 취득한다. 취득한 데이터로부터 k-최근접 이웃(k-nearest neighbors) 알고리즘을 적용하여 이들 데이터를 학습하고, 학습한 데이터를 이용하여 펌프와 모터의 이상상태와 건전 상태를 판단하는 상태진단법을 제안한다. 제안 결과 정상상태와 이상상태가 잘 구분됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

다품종 종이용기의 고속 생산을 위한 고장 진단 시스템 개발 (The Development of a Failure Diagnosis System for High-Speed Manufacturing of a Paper Cup-Forming Machine)

  • Recently, as demand for various paper containers has rapidly grown, it is inevitable that paper cup-forming machines have increased their manufacturing speed. However, the faster manufacturing speed naturally brings more frequent manufacturing failures, which decreases manufacturing efficiency. As such, it is necessary to develop a system that monitors the failures in real time and diagnoses the failure progress in advance. In this research, a paper cup-forming machine diagnosis system was developed. Three major failure targets, paper deviation, temperature failure, and abnormal vibration, which dominantly affect the manufacturing process when they occur, were monitored and diagnosed. To evaluate the developed diagnosis system, extensive experiments were performed with the actual data gathered from the paper cup-forming machine. Furthermore, the desired system validation was obtained. The proposed system is expected to anticipate and prevent serious promising failures in advance and lower the final defect rate considerably.

요통의 양도락 진단 및 평가에 관한 문헌 고찰 (A Review Study on Ryodoraku Diagnosis and Evaluation of Low Back Pain)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate Ryodoraku diagnosis and evaluation of low back pain reported in Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English. Methods: Using web search on five Korean databases, two Japanese, one Chinese and one English, we selected studies on Ryodoraku diagnosis and evaluation of low back pain. Results: Our initial search returned 26 Korean studies, 17 Japanese, 2 Chinese and 1 English. From them, we found 14 studies suitable for the purpose of this study. In general low back pain, studies showed that F4 (bladder) was the most frequently suggested abnormal Ryodoraku. In specific low back pain, Ryodoraku had no recognizable relation to disease-specific low back pain, but abnormal Ryodoraku of F2 (liver) and F5 (gall bladder) was frequently observed. More foot Ryodoraku showed abnormal than hand Ryodoraku. Conclusions: The diagnostic values of Ryodoraku for F2 (liver), F4 (bladder), H5 (triple energizer), F3 (kidney), and F5 (gall bladder) can be good diagnostic references, and future studies should be conducted on the aspect of differentiation of symptoms and signs.

  • Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is a genetic disorder that affects approximately 1 in 15,000-30,000 people, with the majority of patients inheriting the disorder via autosomal recessive inheritance. PCD is characterized by abnormal ciliary ultrastructure and/or function, which results in impaired mucociliary clearance and recurrent respiratory infections. Despite the presence of symptoms from birth, many patients with PCD remain undiagnosed until adulthood. Many advances in the diagnosis of PCD have occurred in recent years, including nasal nitric oxide assays, ciliary motility tests, and genetic sequencing. Early diagnosis and symptom management may reduce morbidity and mortality from PCD improving the patient's quality of life.

  • Ultrasonographic examination is widely used for screening of abnormal findings on prenatal screening. Cleft lip with or without cleft palate of the fetus can also be screened by using ultrasonography. Presence of abnormal findings of the fetal lip or palate can be detected by the imaging professionals. However, such findings may not be familiar to oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons can use ultrasonographic imaging of fetal cleft lip with or without cleft palate to provide information regarding treatment protocols and outcomes to the parent. Therefore, surgeons should also be able to identify the abnormal details from the images, in order to setup proper treatment planning after the birth of the fetus. We report two cases of cleft lip with or without cleft palate that the official readings of prenatal ultrasonography were inconsistent with the actual facial structure identified after birth. Also, critical and practical points in fetal ultrasonographic diagnosis are to be discussed.

  • This paper proposes the new method based on contour following method with directional angle to segment the cell into the nuclei. The object image was the Thyroid Gland cell image that was diagnosed as normal and abnormal(two types of abnormal : follicular neoplastic cell, and papillary neoplastic cell), respectively. The nuclei were successfully diagnosed as normal and abnormal. this paper, improved method of digital image analysis required in basic medical science for diagnosis of cells was proposed. The object image was the Thyroid Gland cell image with difference of chromatin patterns. To segment the cell nucleus from background, the region segmentation algorithm by edge tracing was proposed. And feature parameter was obtained from discrete Fourier transformation of image. After construct a feature sample group of each cells, experiment of discrimination was executed with any verification cells. As a result of experiment using features proposed in this paper, get a better segmentation rate(70-90%) than previously reported papers, and this method give shape to get objectivity and fixed quantity in diagnosis of cells. The methods described in this paper be used immediately for discrimination of neoplastic cells.

Peripheral inflammatory biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease: a brief review

  • Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease characterized by the accumulation of amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the brain. The AD pathophysiology entails chronic inflammation involving innate immune cells including microglia, astrocytes, and other peripheral blood cells. Inflammatory mediators such as cytokines and complements are also linked to AD pathogenesis. Despite increasing evidence supporting the association between abnormal inflammation and AD, no well-established inflammatory biomarkers are currently available for AD. Since many reports have shown that abnormal inflammation precedes the outbreak of the disease, non-invasive and readily available peripheral inflammatory biomarkers should be considered as possible biomarkers for early diagnosis of AD. In this minireview, we introduce the peripheral biomarker candidates related to abnormal inflammation in AD and discuss their possible molecular mechanisms. Furthermore, we also summarize the current state of inflammatory biomarker research in clinical practice and molecular diagnostics. We believe this review will provide new insights into biomarker candidates for the early diagnosis of AD with systemic relevance to inflammation during AD pathogenesis.

오토인코더를 이용한 열간 조압연설비 상태모니터링과 진단 (Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis of a Hot Strip Roughing Mill Using an Autoencoder)

  • Purpose: It is essential for the steel industry to produce steel products without unexpected downtime to reduce costs and produce high quality products. A hot strip rolling mill consists of many mechanical and electrical units. In condition monitoring and diagnosis, various units could fail for unknown reasons. Methods: In this study, we propose an effective method to detect units with abnormal status early to minimize system downtime. The early warning problem with various units was first defined. An autoencoder was modeled to detect abnormal states. An application of the proposed method was also implemented in a simulated field-data analysis. Results: We can compare images of original data and reconstructed images, as well as visually identify differences between original and reconstruction images. We confirmed that normal and abnormal states can be distinguished by reconstruction error of autoencoder. Experimental results show the possibility of prediction due to the increase of reconstruction error from just before equipment failure. Conclusion: In this paper, hot strip roughing mill monitoring method using autoencoder is proposed and experiments are performed to study the benefit of the autoencoder.
