It is very important to analyze the superconducting power cables by the modeling for correct and reasonable cable design suitable for the domestic situation of power systems. This paper describes the basic modeling for superconducting power cables using ATPDraw. And also it is shown the line constants of cold dielectric coaxial type which is one of the HTS cables. It is compared with the line constants of general two kinds of power cables(OF, XLPE).

S-Transform은 어떠한 신호의 변환 후 원 신호의 주파수 및 크기를 모두 알 수 있는 효과적인 방법이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 IEEE에서 제시한 전력품질 이벤트의 분류를 기반으로 S-Transform 기반의 전력품질 이벤트의 측정지수를 제안하였다. 제안한 측정지수의 효율성을 검증하기 위하여, ATPDraw를 이용하여 고장 및 비선형 부하를 모의하였다. 그 결과를 이용하여 S-Transform을 수행하여 제안된 측정지수의 효율성을 검증하였다.

This paper is analysed by switching overvoltage on operating reclosing in 154 [kV] combined transmission systems. Combined transmission systems are modeled by EMTP/ATPDraw program. It is fault condition that simulate high resistance earth fault. The simulation is carried out considering variation of parameters such as resistance value of fault point and rate of underground line.

This paper describes that the effect on the other system is generated by the single line to ground fault of the underground transmission systems and distribution systems established the common ground in trefoil. Each system is modeled by EMTP/ATPDraw and the system carry out simulations according to the various values of common ground to analyse. In this study, the result of analysis based on simulation suggests protection method and ground system of each system.

Recently the grid-connected PV system is increased in the power system. According to this trend, protection coordination issues are becoming more important when the PV generation is connected to the power system. In this paper, we model the PV system using EMTP/ATPDRAW and analyze the impact of the PV generation for the fuse coordination.

This paper suggests a detection scheme of a secondary arc extinction using the peak value of a fault voltage estimated by correlation algorithms. The system implemented in this paper is based on a Korean 765 kV system and the suggested proposed scheme is tested on the system. The performance of the method is analyzed by using Electro-Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP)/ATPDraw.

In this paper, XLPE cable underneath a bridge is modelled using EMTP/ATPDraw. Bridge section is also modelled by mutually coupled parallel conductor with XLPE cable. This paper is analysed the overvoltge by structure change of bridge section when the lightning occurs on the system.

Energy Storage System(ESS) can be used as several purposes such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS), frequency regulation, maximum load cut, and etc. This paper analyzes and simulates the reclosing operation in distribution system with ESS for frequency regulation and maximum load cut. To solve the effect from ESS, two sequences in reclosing process are added to conventional reclosing. The modelings and simulations of reclosing operation using EMTP/ATPDraw are performed.

This paper deals with simulation of lightning overvoltage generated by back flashover entering 345[kV] Gas Insulated Substation. In order to protect the substation equipment against lightning surge, insulation coordination is performed with the lightning arrester. This paper suggests optimal location of lightning arrester using the EMTP/ATPDraw to mere economically and effectively reduce the lightning surge incoming overhead lines.
