서해권 항로표지용 AIS 관리실태분석 및 개선방안 연구

  • 근래 각국에서는 기존의 항로표지(AtoN)와 선박자동식별장치(AIS)를 혼합한 형태의 AtoN AIS를 도입하여 해상 상태 및 위치 등의 정보를 수집 전달하는 방식의 시스템을 구축하고 있다. 우리나라 역시 국제 동향에 맞춰 AtoN AIS를 채택하여 활성화시키기는 단계에 있다. 그 중 서해안은 해양교통 환경이 매우 빠르게 변화하고 있는 곳으로, 이미 설치된 AtoN AIS 시스템의 관리 실태조사 및 연구를 통한 재평가가 필요한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 AtoN AIS 시스템을 국내 표준화 시스템으로 구축하기 위한 실용화 및 활성화 방안을 마련하고자 선진국의 AtoN AIS 시스템 구축 사례 및 관련 국제 규정을 검토하여 현재 서해안의 시스템과 비교 분석한다. 또한 실제 선박 AIS와 AtoN AIS 시스템의 상호 연계성을 연구하여 실제 운항하는 선박의 항해사들이 AtoN AIS 시스템을 선박 AIS와 같이 활용 할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

  • The AtoN are installed and operated on the sea in order to help the safe navigation of ships. With the development of maritime ICT, to monitor and control the condition of AtoN from land using multiplex communication network such as AtoN AIS, CDMA, and LTE. Currently, The information of AtoN is difficult to integrated manage because AtoN management systems has been independently developed and operatie according to the operating conditions of the Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries. In addition, in preparation for the introduction for e-navigation and MASS, systematic and unified information of AtoN is required. In this paper, we study to design and develop standard software for AtoN management system based on the international standard for navigation information(S-201). Through this study, it will be possible to provide continuous AtoN information and effective AtoN management.

Ethanol Electro-Oxidation and Stability of Pt Supported on Sb-Doped Tin Oxide (안티몬 도핑된 주석 산화물에 담지된 백금 촉매의 에탄올 산화 반응 및 안정성 연구)

  • Electrocatalytic activities and stabilities of Pt supported on Sb-doped $SnO_2$ (ATO) were examined for ethanol oxidation reactions. Pt colloidal particles were deposited on ATO nanoparticles (Pt/ATO) and the prepared electrocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical activity of the Pt/ATO for ethanol electro-oxidation was compared to those of Pt supported on carbon (Pt/C) and commercial PtRu/C. The activitiy of the Pt/ATO was much higher than those of the Pt/C and commercial PtRu/C. The Pt/ATO exhibited much higher electrochemical stabilities than the Pt/C in 0.5M ${H_2}{SO_4}$ and in 0.5M ${H_2}{SO_4}$/1M ${C_2}{H_5}OH$. According to TEM, the growth rate of Pt particles was lower in the Pt/ATO than it was in the Pt/C. The ATO nanoparticle appears to be a promising support material that promotes electrochemical reactions and stabilizes catalyst particles in direct ethanol fuel cell.

Characterization of transparent ATO conducting films prepared by RF magnetron sputtering (RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 법에 의한 ATO 투명전도막의 특성)

  • In this study, we synthesized ATO films using RF magnetron sputtering method consisted of $SnO_2$ target added Sb of 6 wt% and investigated the effect of $O_2$ on structural, electrical, and optical properties of ATO films. As a result, in case of $O_2$/Ar ratio of 0.11, we obtained ATO films exhibit the properties such as the resistivity about $8{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}-cm]$, the transmittance of 85.17%, and retile structure.

Effects of Sputtering Power and Oxygen Flow Rate on the Electrical Properties of ATO Thin Films Made by DC Magnetron Sputtering (DC Magnetron Sputtering 법에 의해 ATO 박막 제조시 스퍼터전력 및 산소유량이 전기적 성질에 미치는 영향)

  • ATO(Sb doped $SnO_2$) thin films whose thicknesses were 600, 1100 and $2100\AA$ were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering method. They showed the lowest resistivity at DC sputtering power 0.24kW and had lower resistivity with increasing thickness. The power dependence of resistivity among ATO thin films was also different with thickness. The increase of carrier concentration in ATO thin films was responsible for the decrease of resistivity with thickness increase. ATO thin films which were prepared at 30sccm oxygen flow rate showed a great change of sheet resistance under 1M HCl solution. The investigation of SAM(Scanning Auger Microprobe) revealed that oxygen atomic percentage on the surface of ATO thin films was changed. The decrease of sheet resistance also occurred when ATO thin films, prepared at 30sccm oxygen flow rate, were exposed to air for a long period of time. For this reason, it was considered that the desorption of oxygen on ATO surface was accelerated by HCl.

Induction of Apoptosis in Arsenic Trioxide-treated Lung Cancer A549 Cells by Buthionine Sulfoximine

  • Arsenic trioxide (ATO) affects many biological processes such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation and angiogenesis. L-buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) is an inhibitor of GSH synthesis. We tested whether ATO reduced the viability of lung cancer A549 cells in vitro, and investigated the in vitro effect of the combination of ATO and BSO on cell viability in relation to apoptosis and the cell cycle. ATO caused a dose-dependant decrease of viability of A549 cells with an $IC_{50}$ of more than $50{\mu}m$. Low doses of ATO or BSO ($1{\sim}10{\mu}m$) alone did not induce cell death. However, combined treatment depleted GSH content and induced apoptosis, loss of mitochondrial transmembrane potential (${\Delta}{\Psi}_m$) and cell cycle arrest in G2. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) increased or decreased depending on the concentration of ATO. In addition, BSO generally increased ROS in ATO-treated A549 cells. ROS levels were at least in part related to apoptosis in cells treated with ATO and/or BSO. In conclusion, we have demonstrated that A549 lung cells are very resistant to ATO, and that BSO synergizes with clinically achievable concentration of ATO. Our results suggest that combination treatment with ATO and BSO may be useful for treating lung cancer.

The effects of ATO-ALL on skin regeneration in human epidermal keratinocytes, HaCaT cells (ATO-ALL이 인간유래 피부 각질형성세포인 HaCaT 세포에서 피부재생에 미치는 효과)

  • Objectives : Atopic dermatitis is an irritable skin disease accompanying rash and itching leading to impaired skin barrier. ATO-ALL is an ethanol extract of natural products comprising 12 herbs and effective on atopic dermatitis. In this study, we aimed to propose that the effect of ATO-ALL on skin regeneration in human keratinocyte cell line, HaCaT cells. Methods : To evaluate the skin regenerating effects of ATO-ALL, scratch wound healing assay, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) assay, and propidum iodide (PI) assay were performed using cultured HaCaT cell line. Result : Scratch wound healing assay showed that ATO-ALL was able to enhance the gap filling activity more than 2-fold at 7 ppm concentration compared with control group. BrdU assay demonstrated that ATO-ALL treatment increased the de novo cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. Finally, PI assay indicated that the cell cycle of HaCaT cells was modulated by ATO-ALL treatment. Conclusions : These results suggested that ATO-ALL may have skin regenerating effects by increasing cell proliferation via cell cycle regulation. Taken together, ATO-ALL is supposed to have a potential on regeneration of damaged skin or functional disease including atopic dermatitis.

Mobile monitoring system of the Dual LED marine lantern (이중 LED 등명기의 휴대용 모니터링 시스템)

  • Advances in IT technology and modernization of AtoN(Aids to Navigation) facility has increased the unmanned operation of AtoN. However, in AtoN facilities, accessibility is low and it is not able to perform maintenance on the bad weather at the time. In connection with this, in this paper, by applying the protocol of the enhanced dual LED marine lantern, we implemented the short-range monitoring system for a mobile terminal. System implemented in this paper can be carried out confirm the operation status, inspection or control of the dual LED marine lantern at a short distance. Also, it is possible to reduce maintenance costs and prevent accidents during inspection of AtoN. At the same time, it enables the operation test easily without disassembling the product, effective AtoN operation is possible. We tested the system that has been implemented using prototype of the LED marine lantern and confirmed state informations and controlled the behavior of the system in real time.

  • Lately, trend is change to concept that management traffic of ship is magnified gradually to near shore waters from harbor. Therefore, introducing the AtoN AIS technology that install AIS in the ground station, lighthouse, bouy, sea facilities etc.. that is support equipment for safety sailing of ship and safety security of harbor and ship administration. The operation and maintenance of AtoN AIS are required to efficient method. With this actuality, sea advanced nation They has been apply for developing AtoN AIS equipment that is connected equipment of technology standard in IALA. Because of it is expected to depend equipment in income, that is required to domestic technology of the AtoN AIS. This paper is targeted to development that is suitable automation AtoN AIS equipment in environmental peculiarity for construnstrunstrAtoN operating administration center. It has been realization the interface module for control and monitoring system and the communications protocol for information interchange.

  • In this paper, we propose a UML modeling of ATO on-board software. An automatic train operation (ATO) system is a real-time control system, which operates a train without a manual operation by a driver. For the safe and comfortable service, real-time embedded software for ATO on-board equipment should have both of high performance and reliability. UML-based object-oriented modeling technique is introduced and used widely to design software that satisfies this requirement. We used Rhapsody, which is a modeling tool for real-time embedded software, to model the construction and the behavior of ATO on-board equipment. As a result, ATO on-board software which performs the profile calculation and the real-time speed control is designed and implemented. The brief modeling result including behavioral characteristics and the simulation results are presented.
