Effect of Skin Fat Lipid Barrier Formation on Hataedock with Coptis Japonica & Glycyrrhiza Uralensis (황련감초 하태독법의 피부 지방장벽형성 증진효과)

  • Objectives This study is conducted to evaluate skin fat barrier formation of Hataedock using the Coptis japonica & Glycyrrhiza uralensis extract. Methods The 3-week-old NC/Nga mice were divided into 3 groups: control group (Ctrl), Hataedock-treated group that uses the Coptis japonica & Glycyrrhiza uralensis (CGT) extract, and Hataedock-treated group that uses Bifidobacterium (BBT). After 2 weeks, changes in immunohistochemicals, and skin-lipid-barrier regulators were observed for the effects of Hataedock. Results In CGT group, loricrin-positive reaction has been increased by 231%, along with involucrin-positive reaction by 90%, filaggrin-positive reaction by 143%, and ASM-positive reaction by 341% in the stratum corneum. Conclusions Hataedock, using the extract of Coptis japonica & Glycyrrhiza uralensis, increased the expression of proteins promoting keratinocyte differentiation. This leads into conclusion that Hataedock may increase the keratinocyte formation and function which promotes skin barrier formation.

  • Velocities and Reynolds stress in the 3-dimensional turbulent flow in a square duct with a 180.deg. bend were measured by hot wire anemometer. Slant wire was rotated to 4 directions and I type wire was rotated to 2 directions and the voltage outputs of them were combined to obtain the mean velocities and Reynolds stresses. In order to increase the accuracy of measurement, mean cubic value as well as mean square value of a voltage fluctuation across hot wire were measured and used to obtain mean velocities and Reynolds stresses. Measured data were compared with Chang et al's experimental data measured by LDV and Launder et al's numerical predictions by ASM, and found to be in good agreement with them.

  • A series of experiments were conducted to compare the effects of various diluents in cold storage on the marbled sole, Limanda yokohamae sperm. Various diluents of glucose, L. yokohamae serum, marine fish Ringer's solution, sodium citrate and Ca2+ free artificial seawater (ASM) (tris-HCI, pH 7.4) containing 3 mM ethylene glycol-bis (2-aminoethyl ether) tetraacetic acid (EGTA) were used to store the sperm at 4℃. The storage effect was evaluated using motility index and survival rate of sperm. Glucose and sodium citrate were found to be better diluents which maintained high motility and survival rate of sperm for a storage period of 10 days. Some morphological changes of spermatozoa were observed during the cold storage with diluents. In particular, a detachment of the nuclear enveloped and of the plasma membrane from the nucleus in spermatozoa was observed. Morphological normality of the stored spermatozoa diluted with 0.3 M glucose was better than that of the stored spermatozoa undiluted or diluted with Ca2+ free ASW containing 3 mM EGTA.

  • 본 논문에서는 딥러닝의 CNN(Convolution Neural Network) 학습을 통하여 악성코드를 실행시키지 않고서 악성코드 변종을 패밀리 그룹으로 분류하는 방법을 연구한다. 먼저 데이터 전처리를 통해 3가지의 서로 다른 방법으로 악성코드 이미지와 메타데이터를 생성하고 이를 CNN으로 학습시킨다. 첫째, 악성코드의 byte 파일을 8비트 gray-scale 이미지로 시각화하는 방법이다. 둘째, 악성코드 asm 파일의 opcode sequence 정보를 추출하고 이를 이미지로 변환하는 방법이다. 셋째, 악성코드 이미지와 메타데이터를 결합하여 분류에 적용하는 방법이다. 이미지 특징 추출을 위해서는 본고에서 제안한 CNN을 통한 학습 방식과 더불어 3개의 Pre-trained된 CNN 모델을 (InceptionV3, Densnet, Resnet-50) 사용하여 전이학습을 진행한다. 전이학습 시에는 마지막 분류 레이어층에서 본 논문에서 선택한 데이터셋에 대해서만 학습하도록 파인튜닝하였다. 결과적으로 가공된 악성코드 데이터를 적용하여 9개의 악성코드 패밀리로 분류하고 예측 정확도를 측정해 비교 분석한다.

Gap-Fill Characteristics and Film Properties of DMDMOS Fabricated by an F-CVD System

  • The deposition process for the gap-filling of sub-micrometer trenches using DMDMOS, $(CH_3)_2Si(OCH_3)_2$, and $C_xH_yO_z$ by flowable chemical vapor deposition (F-CVD) is presented. We obtained low-k films that possess superior gap-filling properties on trench patterns without voids or delamination. The newly developed technique for the gap-filling of submicrometer features will have a great impact on IMD and STI for the next generation of microelectronic devices. Moreover, this bottom up gap-fill mode is expected to be universal in other chemical vapor deposition systems.

  • Turbulent flow and heat transfer in the 180.deg. bend with square cross section were analizied numerically by using k-.epsilon. 2 eqatiuon model with applications of QUICK scheme and PSL method. Results with PSL method show the more agreements with experimental data than those with wall function. However these results also show that it is very difficult to predict the 3-dimensional turbulent flow with strong secondary flow accuratly by standard k-.epsilon. equation model, and therefore it is necessary to introduce the higher order turbulent model or to correct the standard k-.epsilon. model for the more accurate predictions of these types of flow.

  • The intermetallic compound $Ni_3Al$ causes a peritectic reaction at the composition and temperature very close to the eutectic reaction in Ni-Al system. Although the phase diagram accepted for this system by ASM Handbook has the eutectic forming between the $\gamma$ and $\gamma$ phases, directional solidification study has shown that the eutectic occurs between $\beta$ and $\gamma$. This work examines the liquidus region using quenched, directional solidification experiments that preserve the microstructrues formed at the solidification front. It is also shown that under certain composition and growth conditions a metastable eutectic between the $\beta$ and $\gamma$ phases forms in this system. Finding of the metastable eutectic provided an important information to understand the phase equilibria near the $Ni_3Al$ composition.

Evolution of Spin and Superorbital Modulation in 4U 0114+650

  • We report on a systematic analysis of the spin and superorbital modulations of the high-mass X-ray binary 4U 0114+650, which consists of the slowest spinning neutron star known. Utilizing dynamic power spectra, we found that the spin period varied dramatically during the RXTE ASM and Swift BAT observations. This variation consists of a long-term spin-up trend, and two ~1,000 day and one ~600 day random walk epochs previously, MJD 51,000, ~MJD 51,400-52,000, and ~MJD 55,100-56,100. We further found that the events appear together with depressions of superorbital modulation amplitude. This provides evidence of the existence of an accretion disk, although the physical mechanism of superorbital modulation remains unclear. Furthermore, the decrease of the superorbital modulation amplitude may be associated with the decrease of mass accretion rate from the disk, and may distribute the accretion torque of the neutron star randomly in time.

Use of Crown Feature Analysis to Separate the Two Pine Species in QuickBird Imagery

  • Tree species-specific estimates with spacebome high-resolution imagery improve estimation of forest biomass which is needed to predict the long term planning for the sustainable forest management(SFM). This paper is a contribution to develop crown distinguishing coniferous species, Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis, from QuickBird imagery. The proposed feature analysis derived from shape parameters and first and second-order statistical texture features of the same test area were compared for the two species separation and delineation. As expected, initial studies have shown that both formfactor and compactness shape parameters provided the successful differentiating method between the pine species within the compartment for single crown identification from spaceborne high resolution imagery. Another result revealed that the selected texture parameters - the mean, variance, angular second moment(ASM) - in the infrared band image could produce good subset combination of texture features for representing detailed tree crown outline.

Liver function in Clonorchis sinensis-infected rabbits (간흡충을 감염시킨 토끼의 간기능 검사)

  • Nine rabbits were fed with Clonorchis sinenis metacercariae (MC) and the blood samples chronologically obtained were analyzed biochemically. Rabbits Infected by less than 100 flukes were grouped into Group I, and by 100-250 flukes into Group II. The serum level of alanine amlnotransferase (ALT) was increased from 3 weeks after the Infection of the metacercariae (AIM) and showed a peak at 8 weeks, and decreased from 12 weeks ASM. The serum level of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) was raised to $92.3{\;}{\pm}{\;}65.4{\;}U/L$ at 3 weeks AIM and stayed high until 8 weeks, then lowered thereafter. The serum level of ${\gamma}-glutamyl$ transpeptidase (${\gamma}-GT$) was increased rapidly to the highest value ($18.9{\;}{\pm}{\;}14.6{\;}U/L$) at 16 weeks ASM, and decreased to the control level after 20 weeks. The serum level of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) was headed down from the early infection to 52 weeks AIM. The serum cholesterol level was increased from 8 weeks and reached at a peak 16 weeks AIM, and decreased thereafter to the control level. It is suggested that serum ALT, AST, ALP and ${\gamma}-GT$ tests be useful to diagnose the early infEction of C. sinensis.
