목재(木材)파티클과 철강결체(鐵鋼結締)가 보오드의 물리적(物理的) 성질(性質)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Combining Wood Particles and Wire Net on the Physical Properties of Board)

  • The object of this study was to investigate the effects on physical and mechanical properties of wood particle and sawdust board combined with wire net. Conventional forming, press-lam, and veneer comply boards combining one to four wire net sheets were made from wood particle and sawdust with different spacings (8, 10, 12, and 18 Mok) and different wire diameters (0.35, 0.50, and 0.80mm) composing wire net. They were compared and analyzed statistically with specific gravity, thickness swelling, length swelling, bending properties (modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, work to proportional limit, and total work), internal bonding strength, and screw holding strength between wood particle and sawdust boards. The results obtained at this study as cording to the discussions might be concluded as follows; 1. In specific gravity, both particle and sawdust boards by press-lam method were higher than by conventional forming and veneer comply method, and the boards containing more wire net sheets also showed higher value. But the wire net spacings(Mok) had no influence on specific gravity. In general, particle board showed higher specific gravity than sawdust board. Veneer comply board showed lowest specific gravity values. 2. Both particle and sawdust boards by press-lam method was slightly lower than by conventional forming and veneer comply method in thickness swelling. The sawdust board containing 8, 12. and 18 Mok wire net showed lower thickness swelling than the corresponding particle board, but both sawdust and particle boards containing the T8 and 10 Mok wire net showed higher and similar thickness swelling. 3. Both particle and sawdust boards containing wire net showed no difference in MOR and MOE of bending. Comply board was the highest and particle board showed slightly higher than sawdust board in MOR and MOE values. 4. In work to proportional limit and total work in bending, both particle and sawdust boards containing thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets showed higher value. From these facts, it is conceivable that boards with thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets show increasing resistance against external force. But there was no significant difference between particle and sawdust borads. 5. In resistance against delamination (internal bonding strength), both sawdust and particle boards containing wire net showed lower value than control, and also showed decreasing tendency with more number of wire net sheet composed. Particle board showed higher resistance against delamination than sawdust board. 6. In screw holding strength, sawdust board containing thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets showed higher value, but particle board by press-lam method was higher than by conventional forming and veneer comply method. Screw holding strength of particle board was higher than that of sawdust board.

치과 교정용 듀플렉스 스테인리스 스틸 와이어의 기계적 강도 및 세포독성 평가 (Evaluation of the Cytotoxicity and Mechanical Strength of Dental Duplex Stainless Steel Orthodontic Wire)

  • 치과 교정치료를 위하여 스테인리스 선재가 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 내식성이 우수한 스테인리스강 선재가 복합적인 구강환경에서 부식되어 구강조직에 과민반응 또는 이상반응이 발생되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 보완하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 초내식성의 듀플렉스 스테인리스 선재를 교정용 선재로 제시하고 자 한다. DSS선재의 교정용 선재로 제시하기 위하여 기계적 강도와 생물학적 안정성을 평가하였다. 기계적 강도는 상용 교정용 SS선재와 6종의 열처리(실온($28^{\circ}C$), $500^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, $700^{\circ}C$, $800^{\circ}C$, $900^{\circ}C$)를 실시한 DSS선재를 이용하여 인장강도시험을 실시하였다. 그리고 최적의 강도를 가지는 열처리 조건에서 제작된 DSS선재를 이용하여 굽힘 모멘트 시험을 실시하여 최대 응력과 탄성계수를 산출하였다. 그리고 생물학적 안정성 평가를 위하여 세포성장률 시험을 실시하였다. 선재를 이용하여 금속용출배지를 만들어 세포를 배양 후 세포성장률을 관찰하였다. 기계적 강도 평가 결과 SS선재($8.17\times10^4\;N/mm^2$)와 DSS500($8.05\times10^4\;N/mm^2$)선재가 유사한 기계적 강도를 가졌다(p=0.05). 생물학적 안전성 평가 결과 세포 독성이 없는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.05). 따라서 본 연구에 제시한 초내식성의 듀플렉스 스테인리스 선재가 교정용 선재로 사용이 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

  • Equipment to cauterize tumors by an electrically heated Kanthal wire is under development. The wire( alloy of iron, chromium and Aluminum) keeps sufficient strength up to 1400 degrees in Celsius. Although AC 50Hz current source is used in the prototype experiment, RF current will be used in future. The diameter of the Kanthal wire was 0.3 mm which was connected to Kanthal wire of 0.8 mm. The thicker wire was used as a leading wire. The possibility of application of the heating wire in combination with an ultrasound endoscope was determined, where ultrasound endoscope is to be used to monitor the location on the wire and an extent of a tumor in digestive organs. This procedure requires the wire to be applied inside ultrasound transmitting media. First, the wire was applied in the degassed water in which a chicken liver sample was submerged. The wire, however, burned out in water soon after it became red-hot at 12 A. The reason is that large current is required for the wire to become red-hot due to strong convection. Starch paste of 3 weight percent was employed instead of water. This made the wire red-hot approximately at 6 A, showing the increased viscosity of the starch decreased the convection and the wire was cover by the steam. The liver sample was cauterized successively, while the location of the wire and the liver was monitored by an ultrasound diagnosis equipment outside the plastic vessel of the starch paste.

  • Due to increasing demands for environment-friendly railway system, bronze wires with cadmium, which is a potential environmental hazard, have been no longer permitted as messenger wire for electric railway system. One of materials being considered as the replacements is copper-clad steel conductor(CCSC), which is currently used as contact wire for high speed operation in the Japanese shinkansen. However, there have been few studies for the application as messenger wire by the CCSC. This study deals with requirements and performances of the messenger wire stranded by the CCSC, especially for high speed electric railway. And the tentative evaluation items and methods to be specified as the Korean railway standard(KRS) are proposed.

Wavelet 변환을 이용한 크레인 와이어 로프 결함 신호처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Crane Wire Rope Flaws Signal Processing Using Discrete Wavelet Transform)

  • Wire ropes are used in a myriad of various industrial applications such as elevator, mine hoist, construction machinery, lift, and suspension bridge. Especially, wire rope of crane is important component to container transfer. If it happens wire rope failures in operating, it may lead to safety accident, economic power loss by productivity decline, competitive power decline of container terminal and so on. To solve this problem, we developed wire rope fault detecting system as a portable instrument, and this system is consisted of 3 parts that fault detecting part using hall sensor, permanent magnets and analog unit, and digital signal processing part using data acquisition card, monitoring part using wavelet transform, denoising method. In this paper, a wire rope is scanned by this system after makes several broken parts on the surface of wire rope artificially. All detected signal has external noise or disturbance according to circumstances. So, we applied to discrete wavelet transform to extract a signal from noisy data that was used filter. In practical applications of denoising, it is shown that wavelet pursue it with little information loss and smooth signal display. It is verified that the detecting system by denoising has good efficiency for inspecting faults of wire ropes in service. As a result, by developing this system, container terminal could reduce expense because of extension of wire ropes exchange period and could competitive power. Also, this system is possible to apply in several fields like that elevator, lift and so on.

  • Among the parts assembled in the gas receiver of a marine engine, the titanium alloy stainless steel (STS 316Ti) wire mesh serving as a filter was broken, and the related part, the turbine fan of the turbocharger, was damaged. In this study, a sample of the grid wire mesh was collected and the cause of breakage was analyzed, and a method of minimizing the dent mark caused by the mold during wire forming, which is one of the most direct causes, was studied. In addition, the optimum mold shape was realized through FEM simulation, and the wire wave molding machine capable of controlling the speed was improved by supplementing the problems of the existing wire wave molding machine, thereby improving durability with minimal dent marks.

FRP 와이어 보강 콘크리트 공시체의 압축거동 (Axial Behavior of Concrete Cylinders Confined with FRP Wires)

  • 콘크리트 공시체의 압축강도와 연성성능을 향상시키기 위하여 FRP 와이어의 적용을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 와이어 보강겹수와 콘크리트 압축강도의 변화가 고려된 와이어 보강 공시체의 압축실험을 실시하였다. FRP 와이어 보강 공시체 압축실험에서 측정된 축방향변형률, 원주방향변형률, 체적변형률에 의한 와이어 내부 콘크리트의 손상상태를 분석하여 와이어 보강효과를 평가하였다. FRP 와이어 보강 공시체의 응력-변형률 선도는 두 개의 직선구간과 변환구간으로 구성된 것으로 측정되었으며, 균열이후구간에서 응력상승거동하였다. 와이어 보강 공시체의 균열강도와 최대강도는 와이어 보강겹수에 비례하여 증가하는 것으로 평가되었다. 와이어가 3겹 보강된 35 MPa 공시체의 최대강도는 무보강 공시체의 압축강도보다 286% 높게 측정되었다. FRP 와이어 보강 공시체의 내부 콘크리트 파괴형태는 i) 수직균열 또는 경사균열파괴; ii) 수평균열파괴로 구분되었다. 특히, 수평균열파괴는 와이어에 의한 구속약화로 인하여 갑자기 내부 콘크리트가 팽창하는 부분과 와이어가 아직 내부 콘크리트를 효과적으로 구속하는 부분의 전단효과로 발생하였으며, 수평균열은 공시체의 중앙부를 기준으로 여러 면으로 발생하였으며, 와이어에 의한 구속효과가 우수한 공시체에 발생하였다. FRP 와이어 보강 공시체 압축실험에서 와이어 최대파단변형률에 대한 인장파단변형률의 비가 55-90%로 측정되었으며, 평균 69.5%로 나타났다. 이는 일반 FRP 시트 보강 공시체 실험에서 측정된 시트 파단변형률보다 다소 높은 값으로 FRP 와이어 보강 공법의 우수성을 입증한다.

뉴실버세대 여성을 위한 브래지어 개발 (A Study on Brassiere Development for the New Silver Generation Women)

  • This study develops a new brassiere for new silver women. A new brassiere design was developed for the silver generation based on apreliminary survey; subsequently, a wire and no-wire type of brassier were developed after a second fitting evaluation. The results were as follows. First, in terms of brassiere design, the cup shape was designed as mold type full cup, shoulder straps were designed as camisole type with cups, bias tape was designed for body correction in the side line and mash tape was designed for easy movement below the cups. On the other side ofthe cup shape was a pocketdesigned on a support pad forthe wire type and a support panel to serve as a wire in the no-wire type brassiere. Second, brassiere patterns were designed by referencing the educational H pattern. Thetotal length was elongated by 5cmto reduce pressure when wearing a brassiere and the height of the front center increased by 8cm for the stability of the front center of the brassiere. In addition, the side line was moved back by 3cm and the width of the brassiere wings was designed widely at 10.5cm. Third, a wearing test was conducted for the wire type and the no-wire type brassiere with comparison products, using a 7-point Likert scale. Appearance results and movement tests for the wire and no-wire type showed a higher score than comparison products.

선재공형이 주름흠에 미치는 영향 (The influence of roll caliber design on the wire rod's Wrinkle defect)

  • This document illustrates the relationship between the wire rod wrinkle defect and the roll caliber design. The wrinkle defect is caused by the incongruent rolling conditions of the roll caliber design, the roll adjustment, and the extracting temperature. In this document, we restrict the study scope to the roll caliber design's effect on wrinkle defect at the base of real condition of the No.2 Wire Rod mill, POSCO. There has been wrinkle defect problem in the No.2 Wire Rod Mill, POSCO for many years. The engineers of the wire rod mill have been making efforts to solve the problem. As one of the efforts, we take the samples of the wire rod in the each stands of the 2'nd wire rod mill and then analyze the samples. Through the analysis, we find out the problem of the roll caliber design. So, we suggest the roll caliber design method to be more effective to weaken the wrinkle defect.

열선 유속계에 대한 유체 온도의 보정 (The Correction of Fluid Temperature for Hot-wire Anemometer)

  • This paper reports by simple method that is quickly corrected the effects of fluid temperature for the hot wire anemometer. We are concerned with a variable output of hot wire anemometer on arbitrary fluid temperature. Hot wire by measuring boundary layer of turbulent flow has been calibrated by arbitrary temperature lower than 10$0^{\circ}C$, and velocity lower than 20m/s. As a result, we could pick up the temperature factor affected by output of hot wire anemometer from related in output of arbitrary temperature to output of room temperature. By using temperature factor on the output of hot wire anemometer, we also obtained that the relationship of velocity was of no effect by temperature of fluids. About results of calibrated hot wire, uncertainly of velocity is 2.15% at room temperature and 3.1% at arbitrary temperature.
