  • 4차 산업혁명, Industry 4.0 과 더불어 최근 ICT 분야의 메가트렌드는 빅데이터, IoT, 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 그리고 인공지능이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 4차 산업혁명 시대에 알맞은 AI 서비스들의 기술 개발과 다양한 산업 영역에서 ICT 분야의 융합에 따른 BI (Business Intelligence), IA (Intelligent Analytics, BI + AI), AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things), AIOPS (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), RPA 2.0 (Robotic Process Automation + AI) 등의 세분화된 기술 발전으로 급속한 디지털 전환 (Digital Transformation)이 진행되고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 기술적 상황에 따른 대용량 분산 Abyss 스토리지 기반으로 인프라 측면의 GPU, CDA (Connected Data Architecture) 프레임워크, 그리고 AI의 다양한 머신러닝 서비스들을 통합 및 고도화를 목표로 하며, AI 비즈니스의 수익 모델을 다양한 산업 영역에 활용하고자 한다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to design a system for quality management and improvement of overall public services. Methods: Literature Review, Framework Design Method, Case Studies Analysis Results: Public Service Quality Management Principles, Definition of Public Services Quality Management Areas, Quality Management Guidelines, Service Quality Management Tools Conclusion: In this study, a study case of the public service quality management framework, which is a system that supports overall quality management and continuous quality improvement of public services, is presented. The management system was designed based on the existing research results and domestic and foreign cases of public service standardization, targeting the entire public service.

국방획득체계와 연계한 국방 인공지능(AI) 체계 시험평가 방안 (Test and Evaluation Procedures of Defense AI System linked to the ROK Defense Acquisition System)

  • In this research, a new Test and Evaluation (T&E) procedure for defense AI systems is proposed to fill the existing gap in established methodologies. This proposed concept incorporates a data-based performance evaluation, allowing for independent assessment of AI model efficacy. It then follows with an on-site T&E using the actual AI system. The performance evaluation approach adopts the project promotion framework from the defense acquisition system, outlining 10 steps for R&D projects and 9 steps for procurement projects. This procedure was crafted after examining AI system testing standards and guidelines from both domestic and international civilian sectors. The validity of each step in the procedure was confirmed using real-world data. This study's findings aim to offer insightful guidance in defense T&E, particularly in developing robust T&E procedures for defense AI systems.

무엇이 AI 프로젝트를 성공적으로 이끄는가? (What factors drive AI project success?)

  • 본 논문은 인공지능(AI) 프로젝트를 성공적으로 이끄는 주요 요인을 도출하고 중요도의우선순위를 두는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 우선 기존 유관 연구들을 검토하여 성공요인을 선정하고, 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 17개 요인을 최종 도출하였다. 이어 TOE 프레임워크를 활용하여 계층 모형을 개발하였다. 이후, AI 활용 기업 소속 전문가와 AI 자문 및 기술, 플랫폼, 어플리케이션을 지원하는 공급기업 소속 전문가를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하고, AHP 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 환경적 요인보다 조직적 요인과 기술적 요인이 모두 중요한데, 이 중 조직적 요인이 조금 더 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 조직적 요인 중에서는 전략/명확한 비즈니스 니즈와 AI 구현/활용 역량, 그리고 부서 간 협업/커뮤니케이션이 가장 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 기술적 요인 중에서는 AI 학습을 위한 충분한 데이터 양과 데이터 품질이 가장 중요한 요인으로 도출되었으며, 이어서 IT 인프라/호환성이 중요하게 응답되었다. 환경적 요인에서는 AI를 직접 사용할 고객의 준비와 지지가 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 각 17개 개별요인의 중요도를 살펴보면 데이터의 가용성과 품질(0.2245)이 가장 중요하고, 이어 전략/명확한 비즈니스 니즈(0.1076), 고객준비/지지(0.0763) 순으로 중요한 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 AI 도입을 검토 중이거나 실행중인 기업, AI 도입을 지원하는 서비스 공급기업, AI 산업을 육성하고자 하는 정부 정책 입안자들에게 성공적인 실행, 육성을 위한 가이드로 활용될 수 있다. 또한 AI 프로젝트의 성공 모델을 연구하고자 하는 연구자들에게도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Application of AI-based Customer Segmentation in the Insurance Industry

  • Artificial intelligence or big data technologies can benefit finance companies such as those in the insurance sector. With artificial intelligence, companies can develop better customer segmentation methods and eventually improve the quality of customer relationship management. However, the application of AI-based customer segmentation in the insurance industry seems to have been unsuccessful. Findings from our interviews with sales agents and customer service managers indicate that current customer segmentation in the Korean insurance company relies upon individual agents' heuristic decisions rather than a generalizable data-based method. We propose guidelines for AI-based customer segmentation for the insurance industry, based on the CRISP-DM standard data mining project framework. Our proposed guideline provides new insights for studies on AI-based technology implementation and has practical implications for companies that deploy algorithm-based customer relationship management systems.

A Framework for Internet of Things (IoT) Data Management

  • The collection and manipulation of Internet of Things (IoT) data is increasing at a fast pace and its importance is recognized in every sector of our society. For efficient utilization of IoT data, the vast and varied IoT data needs to be reliable and meaningful. In this paper, we propose an IoT framework to realize this need. The IoT framework is based on a four layer IoT architecture onto which context aware computing technology is applied. If the collected IoT data is unreliable it cannot be used for its intended purpose and the whole service using the data must be abandoned. In this paper, we include techniques to remove uncertainty in the early stage of IoT data capture and collection resulting in reliable data. Since the data coming out of the various IoT devices have different formats, it is important to convert them into a standard format before further processing, We propose the RDF format to be the standard format for all IoT data. In addition, it is not feasible to process all captured Iot data from the sensor devices. In order to decide which data to process and understand, we propose to use contexts and reasoning based on these contexts. For reasoning, we propose to use standard AI and statistical techniques. We also propose an experiment environment that can be used to develop an IoT application to realize the IoT framework.

OTT 앱 리뷰 분석을 통한 서비스 개선 기회 발굴 방안 연구 (Exploring Service Improvement Opportunities through Analysis of OTT App Reviews)

  • This study aims to suggest service improvement opportunities by analyzing user review data of the top three OTT service apps(Netflix, Coupang Play, and TVING) on Google Play Store. To achieve this objective, we proposed a framework for uncovering service opportunities through the analysis of negative user reviews from OTT service providers. The framework involves automating the labeling of identified topics and generating service improvement opportunities using topic modeling and prompt engineering, leveraging GPT-4, a generative AI model. Consequently, we pinpointed five dissatisfaction topics for Netflix and TVING, and nine for Coupang Play. Common issues include "video playback errors", "app installation and update errors", "subscription and payment" problems, and concerns regarding "content quality". The commonly identified service enhancement opportunities include "enhancing and diversifying content quality". "optimizing video quality and data usage", "ensuring compatibility with external devices", and "streamlining payment and cancellation processes". In contrast to prior research, this study introduces a novel research framework leveraging generative AI to label topics and propose improvement strategies based on the derived topics. This is noteworthy as it identifies actionable service opportunities aimed at enhancing service competitiveness and satisfaction, instead of merely outlining topics.

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) is the replication of human intelligence by computer systems and machines using tools like machine learning, deep learning, expert systems, and natural language processing. AI can be applied in administrative settings to automate repetitive processes, analyze and forecast data, foster social communication skills among staff, reduce costs, and boost overall operational effectiveness. In order to understand how AI is being used for administrative duties in various organizations, this paper gives a critical dialogue on the topic and proposed a framework for using artificial intelligence in organizations. Additionally, it offers a list of specifications, attributes, and requirements that organizations planning to use AI should consider.

Pre-service Teachers' Education Needs for AI-Based Education Competency

  • This study aims to analyze the perceptions and educational needs of pre-service teachers for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. To this end, we collected survey data from 25 undergraduate students who were enrolled in a teacher education college in Seoul. The purpose of the survey was to measure the importance and current performance for instructional AI use based on the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework, and to explore the priority of educational needs using Borich's needs analysis and the Locus for Focus model. The results of the study confirmed that Ethics and TPK competencies are prioritized. Additionally, the results indicated a high demand for practical knowledge that can be implemented in the practice of education. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop a teacher education program that focuses on ethical aspects and teaching strategy competencies in AI-based education.

AiC 관점에 따른 부정적분과 정적분 관계 학습사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Relationship between Indefinite Integral and Definite Integral according to the AiC Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 맥락에서 출발하여 추상화로 나아가는 방식으로 수학 학습을 설명하는 AiC(Abstraction in Context) 이론에 따른 수업이 부정적분과 정적분의 관계에 대한 이해를 촉진하는 지를 파악하는 데 목표를 둔다. 이를 위해 과학고등학교 2학년 학생 8명을 대상으로 설계한 적분 지도 방안에 따라 수업을 실시했으며, 전 수업 과정을 녹화, 녹음한 자료와 활동지 등의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 연구에 참여한 학생들은 누적 개념이 내재된 맥락에서 출발하여 동료 학생들과 상호 소통하면서 부정적분과 정적분의 관계에 연결되는 세 가지 지식 요소인 '누적함수의 순간 변화율', '부정적분을 이용한 정적분의 계산', '누적함수를 이용한 부정적분의 결정'을 구성하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, AiC 관점은 부정적분과 정적분 관계의 학습을 지원하는 잠재력을 가지고 있으며, 이를 다른 학습영역으로 확장하여 고등학교 수학수업을 개선하는 데에도 활용할 수 있음을 논의하였다.
