  • The CBAM (Cost Benefit Analysis Method) provides a method for deciding the best architectural strategy by considering cost, schedule, and risks as well as the benefits of the architectural strategy. But many parts of the CBAM do not Present quantitative evidence explicitly on whether it is the best architectural strategy among others because it depends on the stakeholders' consensus, vote, and/or intuition. In this study, we apply the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) to CBAM to provide explicit quantitative evidence and to reduce the possibility of subjective decision-making errors that may occur in the CBAM.

  • This study tired to develop the web credibility evaluation model by calculating weighted values and sensitivities of indicators which presented on preceding researches using Analytic Hierarchy Process. "Expert Choice 2000" was used as the tool for analysing AHP. 25 experts are answered for this questionnaire who are selected by judgement sampling method, one of the non-probability sampling method. Also, sensitivity analyses was performed to graphically see how the alternatives change with respect to the importance of the indicators or sub-indicators. The main results are summarized as followings; i) importance analysis in first level factors: trust-worthiness(0,606), expertness(0.222), safety(0.173), ii) importance analysis in second level factors: trustfulness (0.519), reputation(0.087), usefulness (0.102), timeliness(0,093), competency(0.027), security(0.115), reliability(0,058). iii) some of the importance analysis in third level factors: the site provides comprehensive information that is attributed to a specific source(0.252), the site has articles that list citations and references(0.153), the site contains user opinions and reviews(0.072), etc. iv) sensitivity analyses showed that the importance of the indicators or sub-indicators are slightly changed with respect to the alternatives change.

  • Factor analysis, an important research method, has been conducted as a pre-analysis of empirical researches. Sometimes, the researchers expect more information than factor analysis' limitation as well. Therefore, I suggest a method to overcome this problem. This study presents a combined research method which allow to solve the limitation of the factor analysis in social science. The combined research method consist of factor analysis, AHP(analytic hierarchy process) analysis, diffusion theory and system dynamics, which is able to explain causalities.

  • We must be the best choice in a variety of situations in decision every time. If you need to select one of several alternatives in a variety of fields, In this paper, we implement the system using AHP to analyze the results with the highest priority. AHP is one of the decision-making techniques. When Decision-makers making decisions, AHP would be useful if you need to select the alternative conflicting purpose. Excel using AHP software, or software for the PC exist. Recently, Smartphone and tablet PC is the modern man's necessities and has shown remarkable penetration. In this paper, we have developed a priority investigation Mobile Application.

  • Intrusion tolerant system enables essential services to maintain for a period of time under system failure, malicious attacks and is gaining more importance in national defense, communication infrastructure, and financial sector. However, few objective evaluation criteria for companies and agencies to introduce an appropriate system are available. This paper proposes a suitability evaluation method, using Analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy integral, for intrusion tolerant system, along with evaluation criteria which considers the characteristics and costs of systems in addition to other factors.

  • Because smart televisions (TVs) have various and innovative functions that are different from traditional TVs, consumers are front with a complex decision-making problem when they want to buy a best TV among alternatives made by many TV makers. TV manufactures have developed and announced different types of smart TV models and they need a comparative study for evaluating their characteristics. In this paper, we suggest the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method for deciding the best smart TVs regarding many selection criteria. The method provides a decision support for consumers who like to purchase a smart TV. We describe criteria affecting the smart TV selection through a literature review and suggest a user testing method in order to derive accurate judgments from consumers. Using the Expert Choice software package, we show a an numerical example how the priority of smart TVs are computed.

  • This study deals with the "Dissemination Stage", the final step in the R&D process consisting of R&DDD($R&D^3$ : Research & Development, Demonstration, Dissemination). At the "Dissemination Stage", the newly configured technical design is compared with other alternatives to come up with the most desirable selection. The assessment conducted at this stage is not a simple procedure. It goes through the complex evaluation process in which various elements including economic effects and technical characteristics are considered. The reason for taking such a complex procedure is that the assessment, selection and application of the desirable technical alternative is critical for the company's competitive edge in every field of industrial sectors, thus influencing its survival and continuous growth. This study reviews the AHP method for assessing technical alternatives of the heat supply system design. And, to show the practical validity of the AHP method, it is applied to the evaluation of waste heat system alternatives in the field of energy supply system technology.

  • This paper is about a the evaluation method for universal design on AHP method. Evaluation of Universal Design to develop indicators of the seven principles of universal design and the tripod of Design(in Japan) Review of the PPP, and previous studies were chosen with reference to a indicators. Selected variables were analyzed using the AHP technique, Universal Design 7 elements were derived weights. Factor of the most important on universal design is 'Perceptible Information'(0.263), and 'Tolerance for Error'(0.207), 'Simple and Intuitive Use'(0.154), 'Low Physical Effort'(0.143) was in order. 'Size & Space for Approach and Use'(0.108) is then shown to be important, while the 'Equitable Use'(0.087), 'Flexibility in Use'(0.038) was rated relatively low importance. Based on the results reflected a weighted evaluation of universal design checklist is proposed. Process to obtain the weights can be applied to a variety of situations.

  • During drought, there have been a number of conflicts because of the limited and insufficient water to allocate for the numerous water users. To solve the problems, the decision on the priority of water use should be made with social rationality A rational and systematic procedure needs to be implemented in order to decide the priority of water use. First, a criteria level is made of the main and detailed drought impacts which come from the economic, environmental, and social aspects. Four alternatives are then identified for priority of water use. Second, survey to the two group(professional, residents) has been done with using pair wise comparisons. Finally, the relative weights and the priority of alternatives are determined by means of the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) which is one of the Multi-Attributed Decision Method(MADM). By using AHP, it has been concluded that the water allocation during drought should be accomplished in order of domestic, irrigation, industrial, and river maintenance water. If the AHP method were improved for inconsistency which may be generated with survey analysis, a number of applications will be used for the solutions of problem in water resources systems.

  • Six sigma is an innovative management movement which provides improved business process by adapting the paradigm and the trend of market and customers. Suitable selection of six sigma project could highly reduce the costs, improve the quality, and enhance the customer satisfaction. There are existing studies on the selection of Six Sigma projects, but few studies have been conducted to select the correct project under an incomplete information environment. The purpose of this study is to propose the application of integrated MCDM techniques for correct project selection under incomplete information. The project selection process of six sigma involves four steps as follows: 1) determination of project selection criteria 2) calculation of relative importance of team member's competencies 3) assessment with project preference scale 4) finalization of ranking the projects. This study proposes the combination methods by applying group fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), an easy defuzzified number of Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number (TrFN) and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA). Both of the weight of project selection criteria and the relative importance of team member's competencies can be evaluated by group fuzzy AHP. Project preferences are assessed by easy defuzzified scale of TrFN in case of incomplete information.)
