This study proposed the PHB mapping model for combining services with DiffServ in the MPLS network capable of high-speed switching, and the effective differential bandwidth service model in the MPLS network on the basis of the proposed mapping model. The result of simulation on the service model using PRI showed that the transmission rate was achieved as much as the assigned bandwidth regardless of the increase of traffic as far as the EF PHB did not exceed the assigned bandwidth at the peak rate when the overall traffic increased.

Historically, IP-based internets have been able to provide a simple best-effort delivery service to all applications they carry. Best effort treats all packets equally, with no service level, packet loss, and delay. But the needs of users have changed. The want to use the new real-time, multimedia, and multicasting applications. Thus, there is a strong need to be able to support a variety of traffic with a variety of quality-of-service requirements. The DiffServ architecture, proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF), has become the most viable solution for provising QoS over IP networks. The DiffServ architecture does not specify any handling method between AF out-profile packets and BE packets. This paper propose a mechanism for supporting inter class fairness in the DiffServ architecture. Ⅰ proposed a modified Weighted Round Robin method to protect the BE traffic from AF out-profile packets in the core routers. The proposed technique is evaluated through simulation. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method provides better protection not only for BE packets from AF out-profile packets, but also for the AF in-profile packets in congested networks.

Previous works for the AF(Assured Forwarding) service in the Diffserv network have no sufficient consideration on the fairness of bandwidth share based on RTTs, the target rates, and the impact of UDP against TCP. In this paper, in order to solve these problems, we propose a FDSA(Fair Differentiated Service Architecture) composed of TRA3CM(Target rate and RTT Aware 3 Color Marking) and TRBD(Target Rate Based Dropping) mechanisms. The TRA3CM and TRBD mechanisms provide three color marking and fair transmission rates among aggregate flows by considering RTT, target rate, and UDP flows simultaneously. In the results of comparing the performance among existing mechanisms and the TRA3CM-TRBD, the TRA3CM-TRBD mechanism was able to mitigate the RTT and UDP effect better than the former. The TRA3CM-TRBD is shown to provide good performance for transmission rates proportional to various target rates.

Recently an extension to DMB AF (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting Application Format) standard has been proposed in such a way that the extended DMB AF can include stereoscopic video and stereoscopic images for interactive service data, i.e., MPEG-4 BIFS (Binary Format for Scene) data, in addition to the existing 2D video and 2D images for BIFS services. In this paper we developed a service that provides the streaming of 3D contents in DMB AF by using MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) standard and validated it by implementing the client software.

This study was conducted to compare the commercial noodle flours (n=8) of each milling company in Korea. Eight noodle flour samples were classified into two types of flours, all-purpose flour (AF, n=4) and premium noodle flour (PF, n=4) and tested using general component analysis. Texture assessment and sensory test for doughs and noodles were performed. The dough strength was positively correlated with lower ash content, smaller particle size and longer formation time. Sensory evaluation found that weaker cooked noodle strength correlated with higher scores in preference and softness. As a result, it can be suggested that PF is better than AF in noodle making because PF has lower ash content and smaller particle size than AF. As such, flour characteristics that produce noodle flour of uniform quality can be obtained by combining flours with the above processing characteristics to fit the qualities desired.

In this paper, we study the network structure that can guarantee the end-to-end quality of service in the Explicit multicast network. In order to guarantee the end-to-end quality of service, we adopt the end-to-end measurement based admission control (EMBAC) scheme. For the effective measurement of the network state and minimum influence on the current data traffic, the queue structure, which the drop precedence in assured forwarding (AF) Per hop behavior (PHB) of the differentiated service (Diffserv) is applied to, is proposed. Through a simulation, we show that EMBAC can make tile controlled load service in tile AF PHB applied Xcast network, and the qualify of the admitted traffic is guaranteed. In addition, the performance of the EMBAC is changing according to the selling parameter of AF PHB.

A reduced salt, dry-type bulgogi bibimbap with AF-343 was prepared, and the acceptance, antioxidant antimicrobiological safety were investigated. The acceptance of the reduced salt and the AF-343 added sample, RW, showed the highest value of 5.37 among the samples, but it did not differ significantly from the other samples of the standard sample group. The acceptances of the appearance, aroma, texture, and overall acceptance were not significantly different in all samples (p>0.05). In the DPPH radical scavenging activity, the values of SW and RW with the AF-343 were 15.05 and 14.77, respectively, which were significantly higher than the 9.57 and 10.42 obtained for SWO and RWO without AF-343, respectively (p<0.05). Pathogenic microorganisms tests that were either negative or not detected in any of the samples representing hygiene safety were met in the dried bibimbap against Escherichia coli, pathogenic microorganisms, and general bacteriological tests. The aerobic plate counts were 30.0 CFU/g, indicating that the dry type salt-reduced bibimbap containing AF-343 was within the safety range that meets the safety standards of microorganisms in the food code for commercialization. Therefore, high-quality dry-type reduced salt bibimbap with AF-343 is helpful for antioxidant action and effective for skin moisturizing and can be produced without affecting the taste and palatability.

The alkaloids, piperlongumine, piperine, pipernonaline, and piperoctadecalidine, isolated from Piper longum L., were found to inhibit the biosynthesis of aflatoxin $B_1$ (AF$B_1$) in Aspergillus flavus WRRC 3-90-42-12. Piperlongumine was the most active among the compounds tested, with a 96% inhibition of AF$B_1$biosynthesis at 0.2% (w/v) supplement in a potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium. The three other piperidine alkaloids, pipeline, pipernonaline, and piperoctadecalidine, also inhibited the biosynthesis of AF$B_1$. Of these three alkaloids, piperoctadecalidine exhibited a potent inhibitory activity with a 100% inhibition of AF$B_1$ production at 0.7% (w/v) supplement in a PDA medium. Therefore, piperlongumine and piperoctadecalidine could be used as antiaflatoxigenic agents in agricultural industries. To determine the antiaflatoxigenic mode of action of piperlongumine, further studies are needed.

Recently an extension to DMB-AF (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting Application Format) standard was proposed in [1] without sufficient validation for industrial application due to incomplete implementation. The extended DMB-AF can include stereoscopic video and stereoscopic images for interactive service data, i.e., MPEG-4 BIFS data, in addition to the existing 2D video and 2D images for BIFS services. The contents in the extended DMB-AF can provide a temporal mixture of 2D/3D video presentations possibly with or without 2D/3D images for BIFS services. In this paper we developed DMB-AF player software that can play the extended DMB-AF files and authored several test files for its verification. As a result, we introduced a new method for indicating dependencies of 3D media tracks to improve the extension in [1] and validated the extended DMB-AF with the improvement.

Standardization of technology for formatting multiple audio tracks and relevant information for interactive music service is in progress owing to the increasing need of consumers for participating in music production to their own taste. In this paper, we introduce the status of MPEG-A Interactive Music Application Format (IM AF) standardization and analyze techniques adopted in the current IM AF.
