Objectives : This research aimed to verify the validities of contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture or moxibustion treatments in Taipingshenghuifang and Tongrenzhenjiujing. Methods : We investigated contraindicated acupoints when performing needling or moxibustion in Taipingshenghuifang and Tongrenzhenjiujing, then verified them in various literatures and today's medical knowledge. Results : In Taipingshenghuifang and Tongrenzhenjiujing, 15 acupoints were described to need a careful approach in acupuncture treatment, and 24 acupoints were described so in moxibustion treatment in common. And additionally GB1 was described to need a careful moxibustion treatment in Taipingshenghuifang. Most of the descriptions for the contradindicated acupoints can be explained based on medical knowledge. Conclusions : The contraindicated acupoints in acupuncture or moxibustion treatments in Taipingshenghuifang and Tongrenzhenjiujing seem to have been classified based on the experience of the doctors at that time. Therefore they may be referred to for safe acupuncture or moxibustion treatments at these points.

원자력교육원 2회기 기준발전소인 영광 1호기 발전소의 디지털 경보설비 (IAS : Intelligent Annunciator System) 는 MPU, SSU, ACU 및 ADU로 구성되어 있으며, 특히 MPU에서는 SSU 로부터 수신된 Scan Data를 해석하고 경보를 저장하고, 경보의 내용을 프린터 및 CRT를 비롯하여 다양한 형태로 병렬출력이 가능하도록 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전력연구원에서 수행중인 '원자력 교육원 시뮬레이터 성능개선' 과제의 일부로 IAS의 구조와 이를 시뮬레이터 주컴퓨터 (Host Computer)상의 다이나믹 모델과 연동시켜 구현하는 방법론을 다루고 있다. 특히, 시뮬레이터에 대한 규제기관의 인허가가 중요한 현안으로 대두될 전망임에 따라 ANSI/ANS-3.5, Regulatory Guide 1.149 등 규제요건에서 제시하는 성능기준 및 검사기준을 만족하도록 설계함으로 향후 규제기관에 대한 인허가 획득에서 대비할 예정이다.

A 33-year-old woman diagnosed as livedo reticularis came to this hospital on October 14th, 1995. She complained of cold feet, ulceration on both ankles at the first OPD visit. We have diagnosed as 'Taeumin Ban-Chang-Byoung'. And we have applied acupunctures(Auricular Acupuncture + Acupuncture) and herb durgs. Auricular acu-points are Heart, Lungs, Shenmen, Adrenal. Herb drugs are Yuldahansotang or Chengpesagantang. After 3 treatments, she felt her feet warm. After 32 treatments, ulceration has disappeared. Even though we can't say that Ban-Chang-Byoung is livedo reticularis. But we can assume that two are related on the basis of the context of 'Dongyisoosebowon'.

European integration is characterized by the development of a transnational European identity, which is considered an integral part of the process. Northeast Asia has no similar projects to address the common identity issue, although cooperation is highly valued there as well. Identity and cooperation both require interdisciplinary approaches combining social psychology, international relations theory and international economics. This article considers the problems of applying existing studies on cooperation and identity as well as the European experience (with the Baltic Sea example) to the case of Northeast Asia. Transnational identities promote cooperation beyond the limits of rationalistic game theory, if countries of the region can define their identities and interests, commit to common goals, create shared discourses and reach a balance between nationalism and internationalism. In view of proposed negotiations on the free trade area between China, Korea and Japan and ongoing discussions about a possibility of introducing a common currency (ACU) it can be crucial to consider the importance of identity building as early as possible, before regional integration meets a stumbling block of egoistic rationality that is a problem in any model of cooperation.

Objectives : To assess and compare the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment of depression in epilepsy children and adolescent's parents. Methods : 20 cases of depression in epilepsy children and adolescent's parents were investigated in Southern TCM Centre, Southern University College, Malaysia. Subjects were randomly divided into two groups; Acupuncture treatment group and Herbal medication treatment group. Family relationships questionnaires and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale were used before, after 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatments in order to investigate the effectiveness of treatment. Results : After 4 weeks Acupuncture treatment group showed significant reduction in the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. On the other hand, after 8 weeks both groups showed significant reduction in Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Conclusions : The result suggests that the effectiveness of Acupuncture treatment is comparable with treat of Herbal medication treatment to reduce parent's Hamilton Depression Rating Scale.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Oriental medical treatment on a patient with Crohn's disease. Methods : The patient was treated with acupuncture, herb remedy and moxibustion for about 2 weeks. We evaluated the results of the treatment by observing the patient's symptoms and through the Crohn's disease activity index(CDAI) score. Results : After Oriental medical treatment the patient's symptoms such as emesis, heartburn and abdominal pain considerably reduced. The patients CDAI score decreased from 190.8 to 134.2. Conclusions : These results support that Oriental medical treatment can be a help in relieving symptoms of Crohn's disease.

A 30-year-old woman with Grade III hemorrhoid complained of excruciating pain that continued for several hours, especially with defecation. She was not able to frequent the clinic due to COVID-19 shutdowns, therefore additional treatment using acupoint electrical stimulation (AES) was self-administered. She administered AES bilaterally on BL57 and LR10 for fifteen minutes before each defecation as a preconditioning treatment. She assessed her pain using a Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) during defecation, and 3 hours later. The patient initially complained of pain rating 9 on the NRS. After the first session of AES, the pain dropped to 5. On one-month follow-up, the pain was at 3 and the patient was able to terminate all treatment. Self-administered AES preconditioning at BL57 and LR10 can be used to reduce extreme cases of hemorrhoid pain.

This case study reports the clinical response to Korean Medicine (KM) treatments including capsaicin-containing (CP) pharmacopuncture in three patients with acute low back and hip pain. Three patients were diagnosed with acute lumbar sprain, and were treated with CP pharmacopuncture, and other KM treatments including acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine. Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), Oswestry Disablility Index (ODI), and Clinical Evaluation Grade (CEG) were used to evaluate symptom changes. After one or two treatments, acute pain with limited range of motion in the low back and thigh region improved with a decrease in NRS, ODI, and CEG. These results suggest that further studies on KM treatments including CP pharmacopuncture for acute low back and hip pain are warranted.

We report on 4 patients suffering from acute neck pain and limited range of motion (ROM) in the cervical spine who were treated with intradermal acupuncture. The treatment effect was evaluated with numeric rating scale (NRS), ROM, and Neck Disability Index (NDI). After treatment, the NRS and NDI scores decreased and the ROM of the cervical spine increased in all patients. This report shows that intradermal acupuncture treatment can be effective for patients with acute neck pain with limited ROM. However, further controlled studies are needed to confirm the effect of intradermal acupuncture on such patients.

Objectives : This report details on a single case of Korean Medical treatments for the angular deformity of wrist fracture with disuse osteopenia. Methods : A 74-year-old lady with angular deformity of wrist fracture with disuse osteopenia was treated by Korean Medical therapies including manual acupuncture with electroacupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and chuna, twice daily for 41 days. Visual analogue scale for pain and range of motion were evaluated. Results : 1. Wrist pain decreased by Korean medical treatments over 41 days. 2. As a result of evaluation by visual analogue scale, the score marked from 6 to 3. 3. ROM of wrist joint increased from $0^{\circ}$ to $10^{\circ}$. Conclusions : Korean medical treatments helped symptom improvement in a patient with angular deformity of wrist fracture with disuse osteopenia.
