  • In this paper, For Control of the speed sensorless induction motor propose the method which is controled the motor by operating two axis current in input current of the inverter. This method determines frequency of inverter in order to stator electromotive force and E/F ratio for the setting magnetic flux, drives for speed control using a voltage power converter of the induction motor by means of voltage fed converter with current control ability.

  • In this paper, the FLVSC (Fuzzy Logic Variable Structure controller), of which control rules are extracted from the concepts of the VSC(Variable Structure control) is proposed and diesgned for drum motor(BLDC motor) in home VCR. The FLC (Fuzzy Logic Controller) based on linguistic rules has the advantages of not needing of some exact mathermatical model for plant to be controlled. The proposed method has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of distrubances, parameter variations and uncertainites in a sliding mode. In addition, the method has the properties of the FLC-noise rejection capability etc. The computer simulation and experiment using DSP(TMS320C30) have been carried out for the servo control of VCR drum motor to show the usefulness of the proposed method.

  • VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker), with the strong arc extinction capability in switching the source of an induction motor, occurs the severe switching surge voltage which can cause the breakdown or the deterioration of motor insulation. Therefore, a method which reduces surge voltage across motor windings is necessary. So, it is analyzed that fast-rise-time surges resulting from VCB switching operations give rise to severe voltage stress on turn insulation. Additionally, the switching surge simulation algorithms using EMTP are developed, and C, R values of surge suppressor minimizing the steep-fronted stress in winding insulation surges are calculated.

  • In this paper, an auto-tuning method for fuzzy controller's membership functions based on the neural network is presented. The neural network emulator offers the path which reforms the fuzzy controller's membership functions and fuzzy rule, and the reformed fuzzy controller uses for speed control of induction motor. Thus, in the case of motor parameter variation, the proposed method is superior to a conventional method in the respect of operation time and system performance. 32bit micro-processor DSP(TMS320C31) is used to achieve the high speed calculation of the space voltage vector PWM and to build the self-learning fuzzy control algorithm. Through computer simulation and experimental results, it is confirmed that the proposed method can provide more improved control performance than that PI controller and conventional fuzzy controller.

  • In this paper, we propose a hierarchical hybrid neural network for detecting faults of induction motor. Implementing the classifier based on the input and output data, we apply appropriate transform and classification method at each step. In the proposed method, after obtaining the current of state of motor for each period, we transform it by Principle Component Analysis(PCA) to reduce its dimension. Before the training process, we use the conditional Fuzzy C-means(FCM) for obtaining the initial parameters of neural network for more effective learning procedure. From the various simulations, we find that the proposed method shows better performance to detect and diagnosis of induction motor and compare than other methods.

  • This paper is studied about the DC motor synchronization control for robot driving DC motor where is located in long distance place. The DC motors are received the speed order through internet with realtime. We designed the PID controller that related to PWM voltage and revolution given by 80C196KC $\mu$-Processor to move DC motors, so two motors were synchronized quickly about the order of random speed or location by PID controller. Furthermore, we controlled motors with realtime through internet by using lava platform that had a excellent compatibility, and monitored the speed of two motors.

  • In order to regulate cutting torque in milling, monitoring system should be set to a certain threshold. Radial immersion ratio is an important factor to determine the threshold and should be estimated in process for automatic regulation. In this paper, on-line estimation of the radial immersion ration using spindle motor current in face milling is presented. When a tooth finishes sweeping, a sudden drop of cutting torque occurs. This torque drop is equal to cutting torque acting on a single tooth at the swept angle of cut and can be acquired form cutting torque signals. Average cutting torque per revolution can also be calculate form cutting torque signals. The ratio of cutting torque acting on a single tooth at the swept angle of cut to the average cutting torque per revolution is a function of the swept angle of cut and the number of teeth. Using the magnitude of this ratio, the radial immersion ratio is estimated. Identical algorithm is adopted to estimate the immersion ratio based on the spindle motor current measurement. The experiments performed under different cutting conditions show that the radial immersion ratio can be estimated within 10% error range by the proposed method using spindle motor current.

  • The development of the frequency convertors using semiconductors devices makes it possible to control the speed of A.C. motors easily. It is now economically feasible to provide them with power at adjustable frequency using silicon-controlled rectifier (or thyristor) inverters. In such a case, in order to operate an induction motor efficiently over a wide speed range, it must be supplied from a variable frequency source of which frequency is adjustable over the speed range of the motor. It is desired to observe the changes in characteristics as primary current, torque-speed of induction motor etc. at any optional frequency. Although the characteristics can be obtained by means of the conventional methods, they require very complicated precedures of calculations. The Current Diagram Method in this paper suggests a new approach to simpler calculations of the characteristics, using the motor constants at reference frequency. The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: 1) The equations of stator current at adjusted frequency were derived to construct graphical chart and the current circle required for the Current Diagram Method. 2) The radius, center of the current circle and the vector locus, the basis for calculating the characteristics, at any desired frequency could be easily determined with the aid of both the derived graphical chart and current circle at reference frequency. 3) The method was shown to be applicable to the various types of 3-phase induction motors and also dealt with its application to the split-phase, condenser motors.

Temperature Compensated Hall-Effect Power IC for Brushless Motor

  • In this paper we present a novel temperature compensated Hall effect power IC for accurate operation of wide temperature and high current drive of the motor coil. In order to compensate the temperature dependence of Hall sensitivity with negative temperature coefficient(TC), the differential amplifier has the gain consisted of epi-layer resistor with positive TC. The material of Hall device and epi-resistor is epi-layer with the same mobility. The variation of Hall sensitivity is -38% at 150$^{\circ}C$ and 88% at - 40$^{\circ}C$. But the operating point(B$\sub$op/) and release point(B$\sub$RP/) of the Hall power IC are within ${\pm}$25%. The experimental results show very stable and accurate performance over wide temperature range of -40$^{\circ}C$ to 125$^{\circ}C$.

Direct Interaction of KIF5s and Actin-Based Transport Motor, Myo9s (KIF5s와 직접 결합하는 액틴 결합 운동단백질 Myo9s의 규명)

  • Microtubule-based kinesin motor proteins are used for long-range vesicular transport. KIF5s (KIF5A, KIF5B and KIF5C) mediate the transport of various membranous vesicles along microtubules, but the mechanism behind how they recognize and bind to a specific cargo has not yet been completely elucidated. To identify the interaction protein for KIF5B, yeast two-hybrid screening was performed and a specific interaction with the unconventional myosin Myo9b, an actin-based vesicle transport motor, was found. The GTPase-activating protein (GAP) domain of Myo9s was essential for interaction with KIF5B in the yeast two-hybrid assay. Myo9b bound to the carboxyl-terminal region of KIF5B and to other KIF5 members. In addition, glutathione S-transferase (GST) pull-downs showed that Myo9s specifically interact to the complete Kinesin-I complex. An antibody to KIF5B specifically co-immunoprecipitated KIF5B associated with Myo9s from mouse brain extracts. These results suggest that kinesin-I motor protein interacts directly with actin-based motor proteins in the cell.
