A Genetic Algorithm for Directed Graph-based Supply Network Planning in Memory Module Industry

  • A memory module industry's supply chain usually consists of multiple manufacturing sites and multiple distribution centers. In order to fulfill the variety of demands from downstream customers, production planners need not only to decide the order allocation among multiple manufacturing sites but also to consider memory module industrial characteristics and supply chain constraints, such as multiple material substitution relationships, capacity, and transportation lead time, fluctuation of component purchasing prices and available supply quantities of critical materials (e.g., DRAM, chip), based on human experience. In this research, a directed graph-based supply network planning (DGSNP) model is developed for memory module industry. In addition to multi-site order allocation, the DGSNP model explicitly considers production planning for each manufacturing site, and purchasing planning from each supplier. First, the research formulates the supply network's structure and constraints in a directed-graph form. Then, a proposed genetic algorithm (GA) solves the matrix form which is transformed from the directed-graph model. Finally, the final matrix, with a calculated maximum profit, can be transformed back to a directed-graph based supply network plan as a reference for planners. The results of the illustrative experiments show that the DGSNP model, compared to current memory module industry practices, determines a convincing supply network planning solution, as measured by total profit.

  • Smaller enterprises begin on practical use to form integrated informational system on the inside of company according to development of internet and information techniques. The past days, it was managed mainly information system for the inside of enterprise, but in the present time, e-business between enterprise and enterprise, enterprise and customer, country and enterprise, ERP system, etc are activated. To construct the integrated informationalized system, smaller enterprices use the informational process strategy methods to analyze and evaluate the level of enterprise, construct the information infra and informationalized system. In this paper, 1 introduce the informationalized process strategy method about implimentation of the integrated informationalized system for smaller enterprice, do the modelling for one smaller enterprice by proposed method.

  • With the introduction to ebXML and web service related standards, enterprises struggle to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology to meet the complex needs of the enterprise customer. The ability to integrate and interoperate individual services within enterprise and with other enterprise's information technology infrastructure using standard-based business processes is an important element of business process management system. For over 25 years EDI has established VAN based solution of exchanging business information in electronic form. However EDI solutions are only accessible to large organizations due to the cost factor. Moreover lack of well accepted B2B business process standards is hindering the success of promoting interoperability between organizations of any size. ebXML work is focused on defining the standard B2B business process context and its runtime semantics in order to remove these hindrances. However ebXML framework does not recommend any particular implementation model to interact with enterprise internal system. This paper propose a end to end business process management architecture by applying ebXML in the front end of the enterprise system and using BPEL to integrate front end services into related services within enterprise.

  • The technology of production of the thermoplastic composite rocket propellants is based on a two-phase production procedure. The first phase represents the production of a semi-product in the sheet (foil) form (thickness: 0.5 mm ~ 5 mm), whereas the second phase is realized independently from the first one and it is based on the semi-produced product and thus the final form of the propellant grain is realized in relation to the defined geometry. Well done mechanical characteristics of the propellant grain enable that the same thing could be used as a mandrel in the filament winding procedure in creating the motor chamber of the composite material.

So, Relationship marketing will lays a foundation of new travel agency's environment through competitive of relation to travel agency and travel agency, travel agency and hotel or travel agency and airplane. This study's object are present relationships between travel agency and travel relation enterprise of cooperation, complication and competitiveness to relation form. And this study are presents suggestion to generate of hereafter travel relation enterprise through study on relationship with hotel and airplane. A final object of this study are presents a model applys relation method of travel agency and travel agency, hotel and airplane through inspect to specialist analysis. In the result of study, Travel agency are low position and difficult with hotel and airplane at the cooperation but acually It's difficult with travel relation enterprise. So, Travel agency will be operates characteritic system and regulations for win with travel relation enterprise for efficiency of working more than hotel and airplane. Airplane is the best big travel relation enterprise. So, The most airplane has to high cooperate with travel agency. That's why airplane keep going close cooperation with travel agency. Travel agency has to close cooperate with hotels secondly through marketing, exchanging information and union advertisement etc. Hotels are low in complications than travel agency but high in complications than airplane. Although travel relation enterprise are different system individually, because of all of us working with union object, Travel agency and travel compliment-cooperation relationship.relation enterprise has to autonomy behavior with close cooperation through.

  • The various research on Communities of practices (CoP) for propagation of softer type knowledge in new Knowledge Management (KM) strategy having been performed for past couple of years. CoP is one of effective process innovation tool for diffusion of knowledge. Based on CoP's voluntary and spontaneous characteristic, it performs a function of delivering softer type knowledge of workers to the other colleagues of organization. But one step further to CoP's function of propagation of internal knowledge, research on function of CoP's contribution in enterprise strategy are insufficient yet. This paper presents enterprise CoP should be managed and aligned to strategic objectives of enterprise, and also, suggests the methodology for CoPs to maintain a lifecycle as a tool to contribute in strategic goal attainment. Although CoPs are voluntary and spontaneous informal organization, it can display a contribution as tool for KM strategy when it is aligned to strategy properly and form efficient lifecycle.

  • Most enterprise information systems today are silo systems in that they are not properly aligned nor integrated with one another. Such silo systems result because enterprises lack an architectural perspective in the planning and development of the systems. This paper proposes an Enterprise Architecture Orientation Model as a framework for the analysis, planning and design of the architectural quality of enterprise information systems. The model decomposes enterprise architecture into two dimensions-alignment and integration, and specifies for each dimension the general development and evolution stages enterprises may traverse. The alignment dimension represents the vertical strategic alignment of the systems with the vision, mission, strategy and goals of the enterprise, and is analyzed in terms of the performance, capability, and strategy of the enterprise. The integration dimension, on the other hand, represents the horizontal and functional integration among the systems that span organizational functions and boundaries, and is analyzed in terms of such technological components as IT infrastructure, data, application, and business processes. The model combines the alignment and integration dimensions to form a two-dimensional conceptual space for mapping the architectural quality of the enterprise. It is proposed that an enterprise use the model to identify and understand its position now and in the future in the architectural quality of the enterprise information systems. It is also proposed that the model provides a tool for the planning and design of the transition from one stage to the next in the alignment and integration of the systems to reach an architectural maturity. At the end, the paper discusses how the model can be applied differently according to the strategic orientation of the enterprise. An example of the usage of the model is presented.

  • A systematic construction and re-use of technology related to the product development and production has been the most important for the semiconductor industry dependent on process and equipment. Therefore, numerous outputs in the form of paper has been produced in the process of information management ranging from the creation to recycling and disposal of technologies. In this research, the technology and documents necessary for the business management in the field of semiconductor manufacturing were classified in an effort to solve problems while the modeling of document management architecture at the enterprise level was performed by properly setting up the security system to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of the product development technology to the third parties. Especially, the product and process specification are designed in such a way as to ensure a real-time response in interface with the production system in order to shorten the development lead-time and improve the productivity. This paper is to discuss the modeling approach, the strategy to construct the system and its results.

  • In the initial stage of a national economic development of China, the family business takes enterprise's organizational form ruling position. The private enterprise of China is mainly family business; the family makes the mainly proprietorship in other words. Even in the private enterprise after developing, 70 percents are managed as a family This paper start to study the Transferring Power Patterns in family business using the Company's Life Circle Theory and some other correlative theories. Based on the Transporting Power Model, the paper gives a comprehensive explanation for the choice of transferring power pattern in the family business of China.

Online Tie Formation in Enterprise Social Media

  • We study the antecedents to tie formation on an (Facebook-like) enterprise social media platform implemented to support cross-boundary connections. Research has produced mixed findings regarding the role of social media in cultivating bridging vs. closed networks. We examine the tie formation patterns of 1,386 enterprise social media users over a two-year period. Specifically, we observe who became (or chose not s become) "friends" with whom at the dyadic level and relate the decisions to various mechanisms that affect one's network to expand, constrain, or bridge. Using logistic and OLS regressions, we find that users tend to form ties via reciprocity and transitivity (with friends of friends), both of which help expand one's network. We also find strong networking tendency toward functional and hierarchical homophily (same business unit and same rank, respectively), which is likely to constrain one's network (closed network structure). We find that one's participation in various online interest groups is likely to open one's network (bridging network structure) while no evidence found for preferential attachment. Overall, we find that enterprise social media offers features, some of which are likely to foster bridging while others foster closed networks via different mechanisms.
