DMAIC방법론을 활용한 건설기술정보시스템 활용도 제고방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Practical Use of Construction Technical Information System through the application of the DMAIC Method)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 6시그마 경영기법을 적용하여 건설회사의 기술 자료와 정보를 축적, 관리하는 기술정보시스템(TIMS: Technology Information Management System)의 활용 증대방안을 도출하는 것이다. 연구에 적용된 방법론은 6시그마 기법 중 DMAIC방법론을 이용하였다. 연구수행결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 건설기술정보의 성격을 분석하였으며, 기술정보를 관리하는 시스템의 활용율을 증대하기 위해서는 고객만족을 위한 기술정보 활용도 분석에 대한 프로세스가 필요하며, 정기적인 수요조사와 개인별 맞춤정보서비스의 제공, 지속적인 교육과 홍보의 실시, 각종 기술정보의 축적과 분석, 가공을 통한 컨텐츠의 확충이 필요하다.

  • Recently $6{\sigma}$ quality control is an most important strategy to many enterprises in order to be a top company in the world, because it is an excellent scientific method to achieve the best quality control for their management and products. SY company is a small and medium one that has the quality problem for a long time such as occurring cracks on the surface of commutator at his assembly line while being assembled a rotor shaft and commutator of DC motor. This research was started to improve this problem by $6{\sigma}$ process, and as the results of this study, first, to find three vital fews, second, to get an achievement of about 21% improvement for the fracture strength of commutator, and third, to be recognized to change into $6{\sigma}$ quality control in SY company.

6-시그마 기법을 이용한 고속자동피치가변장치 메커니즘 설계 (Mechanism Design of High Speed Automated Pitch Variation Unit by using 6-Sigma Method)

  • A high speed automated pitch variation unit (HAPU) related to semiconductor category sorting movement of the test handler system was developed. In the design process, 'DMADOV' step of 6-Sigma method has been applied. The design result for the desirable pitch variation was a 3:1 reduction rack-pinion and a linkage which are operated by servomotors. The realization and reliability of the mechanism was obtained at the design stage by FEM analysis, and by robust design using Taguchi orthogonal array against weight and deformation. Finally, the validity of the high speed variation mechanism was confirmed via inspection using a high speed camera while performing pitch variation.

휴대폰 후면 커버의 공정시간 단축에 따른 치수 편차의 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of the Dimensional Deviation due to the Shortening of the Cycle Time for Rear Cover of Mobile Phone)

  • In this study, we investigated the optimization of process conditions by using the Six Sigma process, design of experiment (DOE) method and response surface method (RSM) to resolve dimensional deviation and appearance problems arising from the shortened process time of the mobile phone rear cover. The analysis of the trivial many was performed by 2-sample T-test and cooling time, and mold temperature and packing pressure were selected as the vital fews affecting the overall width of the product. The optimal conditions of the process were then studied using the DOE and the RSM. We analyzed the improvement effects by applying the selected optimal conditions to the production process and the results showed that the difference between the mean value and target value of the overall width stood at 0.01 mm, an improvement of 88.89% compared to current process that fell within the range of standard dimension. The short-term process capability stood at $4.77{\sigma}$, which implied an excellent technology level despite a decrease by $0.22{\sigma}$ compared to the current process. The difference in process capability decreased by $2.44{\sigma}$ to $0.41{\sigma}$, showing a significant improvement in management capability. Ultimately, the process time of the product was shortened from 18.3 seconds in the current process to 13.65 seconds, resulting in a 34.07% improvement in production yield.

  • 기업 경영환경의 급격한 변화로 과거 공급자 중심의 경영패러다임은 고객 및 프로세스 중심의 경영패러다임으로 변화하고 있으며 이러한 변화에 민첩하고 유연하게 대응하며 지속적으로 변화하는 기업만이 시장에서 생존할 수 있는 시대가 되었다. 기업은 통합 생산성을 고려하여 프로세스를 재설계하고 내부업무를 통합하는 등 비즈니스 프로세스를 통합하여 경영의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해 많은 투자를 한다. 이러한 노력은 기업운영차원에서 반드시 필요하지만 오늘날 빠르게 변화하는 시장과 고객의 요구에 대처하면서 기업의 전략과 연계하여 운영차원으로 적용하지는 못하고 있다. 효율적인 경영을 통해 얻을 수 있는 이점에는 한계가 있으며 기업내부경영의 효율화가 극대화되어도 치열한 경영환경 하에서 경쟁우위를 차지할 수 있는 요소가 되지는 못한다. 따라서 기업은 시장에서 살아남고 경쟁우위를 유지하기 위해 새로운 가치를 창출할 수 있는 전략을 도출하여 빠르게 프로세스에 적용하고 지속적으로 관리해야 한다.

Pi-Sigma 신경 회로망을 이용한 로봇의 역 보정 (The Robot Inverse Calibration Using a Pi-Sigma Neural Networks)

  • This paper proposes the robot inverse calibration method using a neural networks. A high-order networks called Pi-Sigma networks has been used. The Pi-Sigma networks uses linear summing units in the hidden layer and product unit in output layer. The inverse calibration model which compensates the diff- erence of joint variables only between measuring value and analytic value about the desired pose(position, orientation) of a robot is proposed. The compensated values are determined by using the weights obtained from the learning process of the neural networks previously. To prove the reasonableness, the SCARA type direct drive robot(4-DOF) and anthropomorphic robot(6-DOF) are simulated. It shows that the proposed calibration method can reduce the errors of the joint variables from .+-. 5 .deg. to .+-. 0.1 .deg. .

  • This paper describes the improvement of the calculation by using $6{\sigma}$ method on steam turbine simulator in a nuclear power plant. The simulator is essential to not only verification and validation of control logic but also making sure of control constants in upgrading the long time used control system into the new one. And the dynamic model is a key point in that simulator. The model used during the retrofit period of the turbine controller in Kori Nuclear Power Plant makes difference in calculating generator output and control valve positions. That is because such operating data as the main steam pressure, the main steam temperature and control valve positions of Yongkwang #3 are different from those of Kori #4. Therefore, the model parameters must be tuned by using actual operating data for the high fidelity of simulator in calculating the dynamic characteristic of the model. This paper describes that the $6{\sigma}$ method is used in improvement of precision of generator output calculation in the steam turbine model of the simulator.

What are the Problems to Improve the Affective Quality using Six Sigma Process?

  • Objective: This study investigated the problems that could be faced with when engineers try to improve the affective quality using the DMAIC model. Background: Affective quality is considered one of the most influential factors for the competitive power of consumer products and many engineers make effort to improve the affective quality. Since the Six Sigma process is effective and wide-used method for quality improvement, it can also be used to improve the affective quality. However six sigma tools cannot be directly used for affective quality because of the subjective and qualitative characteristics of the human affection. Method: Investigate the goals, processes and key factors of DMAIC model and find the difficulties to use six sigma tools for the affective quality. Results: Most of the problems arise from measuring and quantifying the human affective response level and understanding the relationship between the human affective factors. Conclusion: Both the protocol for measuring human affection and the monitoring system to find the affective response change for the product or service are required. Application: The results of this study could be helpful for the engineers not specialized in ergonomics to improve the affective quality in systematic approach.

  • 6 시그마의 취약점을 보완하기 위한 방법론으로 고려되는 것이 트리즈(TRIZ)이다. 6 시그마가 일하는 방식 즉 고객의 요구사항을 바탕으로 문제를 파악하는 방법이라면 트리즈는 생각하는 방식, 즉 문제를 해결하는 사고의 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 트리즈 방법론을 사용하여 6 시그마의 문제가 Define-Measure-Analyze- Improve-Control 단계를 통해 해결하는 것과 같이 Define-Analyze-Generate-Evaluate - Verify 단계를 통해 냉장고 온도 검사방법을 개선하는데 적용하여 보았다.

  • 제조업체의 성공은 고객의 요구를 파악하는 능력과 이들 요구를 만족시키면서, 얼마나 최소비용을 투자하여 제품화를 신속히 개발하는가에 달려있다. 기업의 목표를 달성하기 위해서 제조 판매 및 마케팅 그리고 제품 디자인 및 개발기간과 같은 여러 요소들이 복합적으로 적절히 조화를 이루어야만 한다. 이 논문에서는 여러 요소 중 신제품 개발기간에 초점을 맞추어 현재 각 기업에서 많이 사용되고 있는 6 시그마 기법을 적용하여 새로운 제품의 개발기간을 단축시키기 위한 방법론을 제시한다.
