가스터빈엔진을 모의하기 위한 시뮬레이션덕트 설계 연구 (Design Study of a Simulation Duct for Gas Turbine Engine Operations)

  • 가스터빈엔진 고도시험설비 운용특성탐색 및 설비튜닝 연구와 유량/추력 측정방안 검증을 위한 엔진 시뮬레이션덕트 설계 연구를 수행하였다. 설비 운용특성 검증은 배압/추력 제어가 필요하므로 Spikecone type의 가변노즐을 적용하였으며, 유량검증용 ISO 쵸킹노즐의 추가장착이 가능토록 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션덕트 주유로 면적은 1D Sizing으로 결정하고, 노즐면적변화에 따른 시뮬레이션덕트 내부 유동특성은 1D/CFD 해석으로 조사하였으며, 해석결과로부터 설비운용특성 탐색 및 유량/추력 검증시험을 위한 공기공급부 시험조건을 도출하였다. Spike 노즐 구동부는 시험 전운용 구간에서 공력하중조건을 견디도록 모터, 리니어 볼스크류 등의 부품모델을 선정하였으며, 시험 시 10 mm/s의 이송속도가 가능하도록 설계하였다.

3D 가상착의 시스템을 활용한 노년 남성의 슬랙스 원형 설계 (Developing of slacks clothing pattern for the elderly men using a 3D virtual garment simulation system)

  • This study seeks to increase the satisfaction of elderly men when purchasing and wearing ready-to-wear clothes by designing a slacks pattern suitable for their body type, which is determined by analyzing their lower bodies using virtual avatars and 3D virtual simulation system. The study found the following. First, based on virtual visualization of the comparison slacks pattern, the waistline position was consistently the lowest scored question among the evaluation survey items. Interpretation of this dissatisfaction suggests that, because the front waistline falls below the abdomen, the lower body, and especially the abdominal shape, is unpleasantly emphasized. Second, by using a virtual simulation system, the study developed a new slacks pattern that considered the concerns of elderly men. The primary measurement changes were as follows: front waist girth W/4+1.5cm+0.5cm, back waist girth W/4+1.5cm-0.5cm, front hip girth H/4+2.5cm-0.5cm, back hip girth H/4+2.5cm+0.5cm. Third, the new slacks pattern's appearance was evaluated more highly than the comparison pattern, confirming the new pattern's appropriateness for elderly men. This study demonstrates how slacks and other clothing patterns designed in a 3D virtual garment simulator can be used to design more appealing clothing for elderly men, increasing the satisfaction of wearing ready-made clothes at older ages.

사용후핵연료봉 인출장치의 원격감시를 위한 실시간 3차원 그래픽 시뮬레이션 (Real-time 3D Graphic Simulation of the Spent Fuel Rod Extracting Machine for Remote Monitoring)

  • The spent fuel rod extracting machine is automatically operated in high radioactive environment, so high reliability of operation is required. In this paper, to enhance the reliability of this machine by providing a close monitoring capability. a real time graphic simulation method is suggested. This method utilizes conventional IGRIP (Interactive Graphics Robot Instruction Program) 3D graphic simulation tool to visualize and simulate the 3D graphic model of this machine. Also, the dedicated protocol is defined for transmission of the operational data of the machine. The real time graphic simulation is realized by developing the socket module between a graphic workstation and a machine control computer through the TCP/IP network and by dividing the 3D graphic simulation GSL(Graphic Simulation Language) program as a small sized sub routine. The suggested method is implemented while automatically operating the rod extracting machine. The result of implementation shows that the real time 3D graphic simulation is well synchronized with the actual machine according to the operational data.

2.5D Mapping 모듈과 3D 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템 (2.5D Mapping Module and 3D Cloth Simulation System)

  • 본 논문은 패션 디자인 분야에서 완성된 의상의 모델 사진을 활용해 다양한 원단(직물)을 직접 Draping함으로써 새로운 디자인을 창출할 수 있고 직접 샘플이나 시제품을 제작하지 않고도 시뮬레이션만으로 의상 작품을 확인 할 수 있다. 또한 모델과 원단 이미지에 대한 데이터베이스를 구축하여 실시간으로 Mapping 결과를 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다. 그리고 여기에서 추출되는 시제품을 3D 모델에 입혀 시뮬레이션 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 과정으로 우선 여러 옷감 조각들을 이용하여 가상의 3D 인체 모델에 옷을 입히기 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 3D 인체 모델 파일과 2D 재단 패턴 파일을 읽어 들인 다음에 mass-spring model에 기반한 물리적 시뮬레이션에 의해 의복을 착용한 3D 모델을 생성한다. 본 논문의 시스템은 사실적인 시뮬레이션을 위하여 인체 모델을 구성하는 삼각형과 의복을 구성하는 삼각형 사이의 충돌을 검사하고 반응 처리를 수행하였다. 인체를 구성하는 삼각형의 수가 매우 많으므로, 이러한 충돌 검사 빛 반응 처리는 많은 시간을 필요로 한다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 Octree 공간 분할 기법을 이용하여 충돌 검사 및 반응 처리 수를 줄이는 방법을 이용하여 사실적인 영상을 생성할 수 있었고, 수초 이내에 가상 인체 모델에 의복을 입힐 수 있었다.

분말사출성형 충전공정에 대한 수치모사 모델 (Modeling of Numerical Simulation in Powder Injection Molding Filling Process)

  • In this paper we presented numerical method for the simulation of powder injection molding filling process, which is one of the key processes in powder injection molding. Rheological properties of powder binder mixture such as slip phenomena and yield stress were introduced into the numerical analysis model of powder injection molding filling simulation. Numerical model can be classified into two types. One is 2.5D model which can be introduced to a arbitrary thin geometry and the other is full 3D model which can be applied to a general 3D shape. For 2.5D model we showed the validity of our CAE system with several verification examples. Finally we suggested flow analysis model for 3D powder injection molding filling simulation.

Simulation of a Laser Tomography Adaptive Optics with Rayleigh Laser Guide Stars for the Satellite Imaging System

  • Adaptive optics (AO) systems are becoming more complex to improve their optical performance and enlarge their field of view, so it is a hard and time consuming process to set up and optimize the components of AO systems with actual implementation. However, simulations allow AO scientists and engineers to experiment with different optical layouts and components without needing to obtain and prepare them physically. In this paper, we introduce a new AO simulation named the Korea Adaptive Optics Simulation (KAOS), independently developed by LIG Nex1. We verified the performance of KAOS by comparing with other AO simulation tools. In the comparison simulation, we confirmed the results from KAOS and other AO simulation tools were very similar. Also, we proposed a laser tomography AO system with five Rayleigh laser guide stars (LGSs) optimized by using KAOS to overcome the disadvantages of the AO system with a single sodium LGS for the satellite imaging system. We verified the performance of the proposed AO system using KAOS, and the simulation result showed averaged Strehl ratio of 0.37.

웹 기반 3D 패션몰을 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템 (Cloth Simulation System for 3D Fashion shopping mall based on Web)

  • 본 논문은 웹 기반 3D 패션몰을 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템의 설계 기법 및 구현 방법에 대해 제한한다. 웹 3D 패션몰은 마우스 조작이 쉬운 Web3D 저작툴인 ISB로 구현하였고, 3D 인체 모델과 의상 아이템 모델은 3D MAX를 이용하여 로폴리곤 모델링으로 제작하였고, 생성된 3D 인체 모델과 의상 아이템 모델을 XML 형식으로 출력시켜 저장한 후, Direct3D를 이용하여 제작된 ActiveX 컨트롤을 사용하여 웹상에서 3D 인체 모델과 의상 아이템 모델의 정합과 애니메이션을 구현하였다. 또한 텍스타일 팔레트를 제작하여 의상 아이템 모델에 맵핑하는 과정을 알파블 렌딩 기법을 적용하여 구현하였다.

실시간 패턴 변형과 인체 상대좌표계를 이용한 대화형 3D 패턴 디자인 (Interactive 3D Pattern Design Using Real-time Pattern Deformation and Relative Human Body Coordinate System)

  • Garment design needs an iterative manipulation of 2D patterns to generate a final sloper. Traditionally there have been two kinds of design methodologies such as the flat pattern method and the pattern draping method. But today, it is possible to combine the advantages from the two methods due to the realistic cloth simulation techniques. We devised a new garment design system which starts from 3D initial drape simulation result and then modifies the garment by editing the 2D flat patterns synchronously. With this interactive methodology using real-time pattern deformation technique, the designer can freely change a pattern shape by watching its 3D outlook in real-time. Also the final garment data were given relative coordinates with respect to the human anthropometric feature points detected by an automatic body feature detection algorithm. Using the relative human body coordinate system, the final garments can be re-used to an arbitrary body data without repositioning in the drape simulation. A female shirt was used for an example and a 3D body scan data was used for an illustration of the feature point detection algorithm.

  • A fast gamma-ray dose rate assessment method for complex geometries based on stylized model reconstruction and point-kernel method is proposed in this paper. The complex three-dimensional (3D) geometries are imported as a 3DS format file from 3dsMax software with material and radiometric attributes. Based on 3D stylized model reconstruction of solid mesh, the 3D-geometrical solids are automatically converted into stylized models. In point-kernel calculation, the stylized source models are divided into point kernels and the mean free paths (mfp) are calculated by the intersections between shield stylized models and tracing ray. Compared with MCNP, the proposed method can implement complex 3D geometries visually, and the dose rate calculation is accurate and fast.

  • The aim of this study is to develop upper bodice pattern for obese girls aged 10~12 by using 3D virtual garment simulation system. The criteria for subjects in this study were girls who had over 1.46 of the R$\ddot{o}$hrer Index. A total of 229 schoolgirls who met these criteria were enrolled. The results of this study are as follows: First, by using 3D virtual garment simulation, new upper bodice pattern considered obese-schoolgirls was development. The basic numerical formula were as follows ; bust girth B/2+4.5, armhole depth B/4-1, waist girth W/4+0.5+dart amount, front chest width B/6+2, back width B/6+2, neck width B/12-0.5 and neck depth B/12+0.5. Second, armhole darts were added to compensate the loose amount of front armhole and dart manipulation was used to ensure a better appearance on armhole in the design. The dart side line was modified concavely to help cover the protruding stomach. Curved lines on the armhole were significantly relieved using dart manipulation and the darts side line was modified concavely to reduce the tightness around the front waist darts. Third, according to the results of the new upper bodice pattern's appearance evaluation, it estimated more highly than existing pattern in silhouette and ease amount, confirming that new upper bodice pattern was appropriate for the obese-schoolgirls. This study is expected to serve as one of important basic data for ensuing studies that may utilize 3D virtual garment simulation system with 2D patterns.
